We started the company after seeing an opportunity to provide a better quality experience for customers. We have attracted the best service technicians in Las Vegas and put our focus into raising the industries standards for customers experiences here in the Las Vegas Valley! Chris has been specializing in Air Conditioning since 1999.  He is a kid in a big body.  When Chris is in your home you will easily see how much he enjoys helping customers get maximum comfort through their air conditioning needs.

Chris will tell you that he hates sales but he is the kind of guy that will let you know if he has a great experience at a restaurant.  He uses this same philosophy in the Air Conditioning Industry.  If there is a way that you can benefit from his knowledge he will share it but don't ask him to sell you on something.

Always a student Chris is constantly looking for ways to improve himself and his staff to learn and grow within the Air Conditioning industry.  

When Chris is not helping his customers you can find him coaching youth sports or spending time with his wife and 5 children.

I was able to get a tech, Jobab, out within an hour later in the evening to diagnose my air conditioner blowing warm air, turns out the unit shorted out during the day.  Alaskan was able to come out the next afternoon and replace the furnace and air conditioner.  They lay down drop clothes throughout the house to make sure they keep everything clean which is greatly appreciated.  Jobab was also able to recommend adding a damper in the duct work and a second thermostat upstairs since my attic space was not big enough for two units when I asked how I could keep my upstairs cooler without making it too cold downstairs by running the air conditioner for long periods of time.  Glad I called them and will always use them in the future.

Alaskan was out yesterday to replace my ductwork. At my biannual A/C inspection, it was determined that it was spent. Trevor, Jobab and Jamie came out and for five hours, they worked hard until the job was done. They were very professional, wearing show covers and vacuuming up before they left. Everyone that I have met with this company has been very friendly and professional.

Even though it was frustrating, we were finally helped. I'm not sure if it's because of the review but after,  they were very quick to fix our situation. They put in a demo model until the part was ready. Still not happy with the way things were handled but they were very professional and courteous in the end. Believe it or not I would recommend. I just wish they were faster and helped the situation sooner!

I am not very computer savvy and don't even use my computer very often, as you can tell from the intervals between posts. I had originally tried to post this review shortly after the incident occurred in summer of 2013. I apparently didn't do something right because yelp never actually posted it, and I never checked back.  In March of 2015 I was posting a review for a different company and did hit all the right buttons this time. Bingo, both reviews posted.
I spoke to Chad or Charles or someone from the company shortly after the review posted. I was told that they had made some personnel changes.  They apologized and offered to take a look at my HVAC and offer recommendations for free.  The original was NOT a phony post. None of my posts or reviews are phony. I am a legitimate, non-affiliated with any company, retired private consumer.  My apologies for any confusion this has caused.

On June , 2014 I called Alaskan air and spoke with Tera. We told her our air was not cooling and we're concerned for our dog and puppies. Tera said she would dispatch a technician out and he would be here in an hour. The technician Justin arrived in 20 minutes and remedied the problem. He was excellent with our dogs and extremely professional. Due to his expertise we took out a extended warranty contract.Thank you to Justin and Tera for their outstanding customer service.

Had a great experience.  I called them Friday night at 6:00 pm.  Wished they could have come out that night since it was a high of 117 that day.  I think everyone's air conditioning was going out.  They scheduled me for between 8a-10a the next day.  Chris called me at 7:30a to let me know he was on his way.  He fixed the problem in 15 minutes!  So glad because the forecast is for 117 for the next 3 days.  Will definitely call them again if needed!

Our AC unit was not performing as optimally as in the past.  We called Alaskan and they came out same day. The tech was professional and gave us great maintenance info on how to improve system performance. There was no pressure to buy anything. We highly recommend them for their professionalism, quality of service and integrity. Very refreshing after our past experience with other companies.

I've had Alaskan servicing my HAC for a little over a year and they've been quite satisfactory. But their representative, Bennett Tanner, who came yesterday really impressed me. Almost the first words out of his mouth were, is there anything I can help you with while I'm here? Moving something, changing a lightbulb?  What a nice offer! As a senior citizen, that kind of offer was just so appreciated. I had him get a box down off of the shelf for me and was so grateful for his help.  What a nice gentleman! He gets 5 Stars from me.

I would really like to know who were the techs at this company that all of you are giving these great reviews about! These damn people have been at my parents house since 9am and it is now 6:30 and they have cut a pipe in the attic it's hot as the freakin dickens and y'all say this is a great company!!  WTF! I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse damn enemy! It's 4 techs here and they can't put in one unit!
Whoever this great Chris person is he needs to be heading to Henderson to make a believer out of me becz as I live and breath this company SUCKS!!!!

I purchased my home in August of 2014 and the air conditioning has never had a problem. Well the unit for  downstairs decided it would stop working. The fan inside the unit would not spin. Of course, I panicked thinking this is about to cost me a fortune.  I spent my entire day yesterday calling different A/C companies.  I called Alaskan 5 minutes before their office closed. They managed to get a tech out a  couple hours later.  Within 5 mins Jobob diagnosed the problem and was replacing the bad part.  He also explained to me the importance of yearly servicing. He was polite and and very knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use Alaskan for my heating and cooling needs.

Do not use these crooks, they lie and will cheat you, very dishonest, they charge you $  89 dollars to come out and tell you if you have work done or purchase an air conditioner they will return the $89 dollars on your credit card,  I purchased a $11,500 dollar unit and they will not return my $89 dollars . This Is B.S.... I don't even want to give them a one star rating but they won't let me give them anything lower.

Alaskan Plumbing Heating & Air installed a new A/C unit and Coils for us about 3 years ago. Not that long ago and it was working great, until the other day. Warm air started to blow in the house. I called them on a Saturday morning, during normal business hours, and a technician was here within 2 hours. The technician arrived and replaced a blown part that was under warranty. All good.

What bothers me about this company is that they charge an $89 troubleshooting fee over the phone, which DOESN'T go towards labor and parts. So I had to pay an additional $150 for the labor (no charge on the part, as it's under warranty) which is what they called a non-standard repair. Non-standard? The technician was here for 15 minutes, knew right away what the problem was, and replaced a part about the size of my hand. The repair seemed pretty standard to me. $150 for 15 minutes of work? Total cost: $239 for a job I probably could've done myself. Feels like a scam. It's just sad that this company has to offset the part (that's under warranty) by upcharging the labor, doesn't disclose costs until AFTER the job was done, and takes advantage of its customers during 100+ degree weather. Bad business. But hey, this is Las Vegas -- HVAC, automotive, pet care, and doctors, all rip off people here.

Other than that, the woman on the phone was nice and as most of the technicians (I'm not even counting the atrocity of service that your former technician Rob provided back in March 2020).

I'll probably find a different company next time -- or fix it myself.

We just moved in Vegas then very fist day, upstair A/C is doesn't work! Hahaha....  So, we don't know any good A/C company. I tried searching and use yelp,  but more make me confused between negative reviews and positive reviews!!! Finally my husband arrived home from long drive. My husband asked his friend who is a  home owner in Vegas 15yrs. He recommended Alaskan Air company. We called next morning 9:00am
Phone lady is very nice. She said a technician coming here about 10:00 am ~ 12:00pm. My hus told them he had to work, have to be leaving 12:00pm. She said we will try for earlier.  
Our technician Lorenzo came before 11:00 am, then he fixed an outside fan motor in about 30 minutes.. when we informed the home owner of our repair. She was relieved as a previous A/C repair company quoted a ballpark figure of 20K to replace compressors, coils and evap units. Alaskan Air and technician Lorenzo can be trusted to provide honest and competent A/C services and prices.

Amazing service experience.

Mid August, my AC was blowing air but the AC unit outside was not turning on. Bottom line, no cool air.

I called. The phone receptionist was professional and took down my info. They promptly transferred me to Chris (HVAC on-call, technician) who talked to me over the phone and later came to the house to diagnose the problem.  Chris was very cordial, motivated, and professional. I never felt like I he was trying to pull the wool over my eyes. Chris quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the issue, and had my AC working in no time.

The company charges a service visit fee of $89  (half of it is applied to the cost of the repair). The pricing was fair and they provided me with prompt, transparent service.

I will definitely use them again.

Alaskan Plumbing is so amazing! All staff is so wonderful and polite, I had the pleasure of talking to Tyler and Rochelle two very helpful and sweet girls who helped me with our water heater problem. Our technician Jeff is the BEST in the business! He is very professional, polite, respectful and most of all an expert in his field. He installed a tankless water heater for us and he was just a pleasure to have in our home. We we were extremely pleased with everyone at Alaskan and highly recommend them to anyone who has any Plumbing issues. They also have a A/C technician named Angelica who is very knowledgeable, helpful and sweet. Overall the whole team deserves 5 stars! Thank you!!

Wes recently had our winter service on our HVAC system and I wanted to say thank you for the professionalism of the all staff and techs.  We have been with you for almost 4 years now and besides the 6 month AC and heat services, we have also taken advantage of the plumbing check service.  One item that sometimes gets forgotten is the anode rod in the water heater.  All our plumbing looked good except the rod had completely dissolved.  Time for a new one and thanks for installing.  Will be checking on that about every 2 years now.  Just this last check this week on our heating unit we noticed dirt buildup in the air vents.  Since we have never had that checked out and our home was built in 2006, we decided to take advantage of the vent cleaning since we didn't know if prior owners had ever had it done.  Luckily we didn't have a huge problem, but decided to have it done so everything was in the best working order since our entire unit is only 4 years old and we want to keep up the maintenance as best as we can to keep all of our costs down. It also helps my husband who is a CPAP user and suffers from allergies.  Thank you Justis for the heating inspection and the option to clean our heating vents and David (I hope that I got that right) for the good work on cleaning out the air vents. Very careful in prepping the areas so my home was kept clean.  You were great.  Office staff is incredible.  Thanks to all.  Not all companies are for everyone, but I really and truly have had a great experience with Alaskan Air.  If I had questions or concerns I have always contacted them and had conversations where we discussed my concerns and responses were great.  Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated and usually things go alot better.

I recently had Lorenzo and his trainee do my air conditioning maintenance on my unit that was installed by Alaskan Heating & Air about four years ago. They did a thorough job checking everything in the attic and at the unit. They also sprayed down all the coils. This check is part of the maintenance plan that I paid for up front. It is important to do this so I will definitely renew the plan when it expires after this winter.

Lorenzo found that the testing of the capacitor indicated that it was not within 6%. Rather than waiting for it to fail during an inconvenient, uncomfortable time in July or August, I decided to just have it replaced now. The part is covered since I am within the ten year parts warranty of my unit. And since I have the service membership, I get 20% off labor which made the total cost $160 instead of $200. I found that to be reasonable.

I never seem to get an email receipt whenever I get service, The technician will always tell me that it is coming, but when it doesn't I have to call the office to have it sent. So I called to get it for this repair. But it would be nice in the future to fix the system so that I get it automatically by email instead of having to call. I would also love it if I got a receipt each time I have a maintenance inspection so that I am able to have a record of all the readings and findings for my records.

Had a problem with an A/C system not delivering air thru one duct. Made an appointment and was advised owner Chad would be coming with one of the technicians. Arrival was exactly on time. Problem was quickly diagnosed and corrected: plenty of cool air thru all ducts. Excellent service by Chad and the technician - wish I remembered his name. A completely satisfied customer!

Marcel was honest, polite, and so nice. He showed up right on time and took his time while at our home. Once he got all the information about our AC units, he sat down (after asking permission) and explained everything one by one and even had picture proof! Our heating unit stopped working and the repair man(Jo Bob) diagnosed the problem to be a bad fan motor. He gave us a quote for a complete new heating unit at $6,930. or a fan motor replacement at $2,970. We were leaving for a trip so decided to wait to repair until we returned. My husband thought we should get a 2nd quote and called out a local company. We did not need a new fan motor. The problem was fixed for $125.00.  I have been a customer of Alaskan Heating and Air for years and have a service contract.  I will never call them again.

These guys are great. Josh came to our house to fix our unit and did our annual service. He couldn't have been nicer, and more professional. He thought it was our fan motor that was out, $600. After doing some more investigation he found that a converter was bad which was only $200. How many people would have hit us for $800, when Josh did what needed to be done. I will never call another AC company, Alaskan is the only company I will ever call in the future.

They installed my ac and heating units. They were more than helpful while under warranty. However, once warranty ran out they have been less than helpful and customer service is non existent. They were supposed to call back but never did. I wouldn't recommend them for any service

This was likely the most thorough $49.00 inspection (Angie's List special) of my now 22-year-old furnace that I recall having experienced.

The technician, Jobab, called me with 30-40 minutes advance notice on the day of service to let me know that he was coming.

Jobab was not at all rushed and spent about one hour at my residence systematically going through everything on my semi-ancient furnace. He's also a pleasant person, easy to talk to.

An unexpected problem with the furnace suddenly not functioning after having worked fine initially also was resolved satisfactorily.

Since the time is inevitably coming to purchase some new HVAC equipment, I did get an estimate from Alaskan Air for doing so and will seriously be considering this company when the work needs to be done.

Had Chad come out for a quote on a heating and air conditioner when I found them through a big box store. After getting other companies they fell in line so I hired them. They installed the units. They quoted me 10 year warranty on the condenser. To my surprise when I went to Lennox they would only do 5. Called the company but no response. Finally got a response that Chad would extend the warranty but with all these new conditions yet none were in the contract. Thankfully I did the referral through a big box store and they stood behind the promise. Since Alaskan would not live up to what they sold the big box helped.  Yes they did a good job installing the equipment but cross your fingers if you actually get a warranty. I just got lucky but those are not great business practices.

My air conditioner stopped working and I called to see if someone could come out right away. A Tech showed up the same day within the time block given to me. Robert checked out my unit and found the motor had gone out. Instead of trying to sell me on a new unit, we discussed options and decided to put a new motor in since the rest of the unit was in good working condition. I appreciated his knowledge and honesty. He worked on the roof in the heat and I had cool air blowing again in no time. I would definitely recommend this company and give 5 stars to the technician Robert.

We decided to be proactive this year and get our AC checked before the scorching Vegas heat comes. After contacting Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning we were able to schedule an appointment for the following week. This morning Robert came to our house to check our units. He was very knowledgeable and even took the time to explain the process of how the units work. He showed us the numbers the units were trending at compared to what the manufacturer says they should be at. After diagnosing the issues he simply reported the issues to us and suggestions on how to fix them. In no way did he press us to purchase products from the company (something very surprising compared to past companies we've used in the Valley). All in all it was a pleasant and honest experience. I didn't feel hassled or pressured to purchase and because of that I can say I have found our go-to AC company.

. We have been dealing with them since February  . ( it is now June ) ( Gatski ) the place that we rent our building from , Uses them so we have no choice . We have a business to run and they keep half ass working on it and then we don't see them for a couple of weeks ( or they drop off the air conditioner, and leave , for 2 weeks  ) . Then they come back and don't fix anything . It is summer and we are HOT we need this air conditioning!  If I owned Gatski I would change air conditioning companies.   They seem like they may be charging every time they come out or just way too busy . ( I'm thinking way to busy )
One day they had brought 2 swamp coolers and pulled the old ones off . And set the new ones on the roof ( not on over the holes  that they belong in and just left . ) we didn't see them again for 2 weeks . I called because they had left and left their ladders on our building . I thought maybe they went to lunch and I stuck up for them . But it was starting to get late so I called . The guy on the phone said our guys are on your building I looked no one was there ( this was a Friday ) I don't get paid over time . And I couldn't just leave with ladders attached to the building and 2 holes in our roof . ( we have material for casino job and lots of high end tools . I told the guy on the phone that his employees were not at our building. I found out they got called to a different job and just left . ( no update ) just left . I'm NOT trying to be mean but this and a whole lot more has been happening with this company .
I DO want to give a shout out to Armando . He tried very hard to finish the job . And has been the MOST pleasant person that works there ( that I met anyways )

I have nothing bad to say about this company.  They arrive to install my new AC and heating unit in my condo on time. I was told that there would be one to two technicians working on the units to be replaced when actually 3 Guys showed up and did an excellent job they were fast friendly and very professional and answered all my questions about the installation. A short time later and my request about 3 weeks Southwest drywall came at the appointed time and did the repairs on the drywall that needed to be fixed and also around the new power box on the outside of the condo building. I have nothing but again for Southwest an Alaskan heating and air conditioning. They are the best.

Yesterday our second floor AC unit wasn't working properly, and we assumed it was because the air filter was dirty. We replaced the air filter but it still wasn't working correctly so we ended up sleeping on the first floor for the night.
Called around to have it checked out and Alaskan was the only company that had availability for the same day. We were given the timeframe between 6pm-8pm and our technician Steven came early (5:15pm) about 20 minutes after their office called to let us know he was on his way.
Steven quickly got to work and found the issue. He replaced the capacitor and made sure everything was working correctly in the house. He was very professional and answered all my questions.
He let us know that they're available 24 hours a day in case we have another problem. I'm glad that they were able to come out and take care of our AC unit. We will sleep comfortably tonight.

Our AC went out last Thursday.  The company sent by the warranty company was a rip off and I was not getting anywhere.  Believe it or not they literally asked me to remove a 12 ft patio to access the ac. Fed up with warranty,  I called Alaskan Air they dispatched Lorenzo in 3 hours. He  was extremely professional. Went up to the A/C on the roof in few seconds. Came back explained what the issue and what the cost would be. I agreed. Went back up  and fixed the issue. He has honest and professional. They knew we were desperate and could have taken advantage of the situation but they did not.   Thank you.

I dont even know were to start !!!! I am so impressed by this company and JOBAB , as I'm sure why we are all here My AC broke. It's literally Saturday night 9:00 pm and to top it off my family is in town . I called 10 other companies on yelp that claim they are open 24-7 not one responded.

The ac broke my home warranty sent out a company and it was a nightmare so I will tell you I know what bad service is and Alaskan and Jabob is the opposite of bad service. Thank you guys my family is happy they dont have to be here in the heat

The absolute best I've experienced it, they are here on a six month maintenance call, and they are CLEANING the unit with a small brushes! Lorenzo is training Angelica and they are a delight . I had to get aa new system in August 2018 and within one day I had coOl air. Thank you Alaska.

It was that time to have the ducts cleaned and we couldn't be more pleased to have had Will and Christian assigned the task! They were customer service oriented, effective, thoroughly knowledgeable & trained. The men not only dealt with the dirty job at hand but gave us tips and efficiency recommendations. My parent's ac went out on Sunday morning and the heat was getting to them in the worst way. I called Alaskan Plumbing and was able to get their house serviced quickly- the technician (I think his name was Manu) was incredibly professional and trustworthy- he got the work done quickly and efficiently. Pricing was fair and it means a lot to me to know an honest company that knows what they're doing.

I will start with this quote that I am reiterating from the Business manager in his reply to a complaint below: If you ever have an issue with work that we have performed I promise that I am at the office every day and my team and I are always willing and ready to make things right if we make a mistake.  True customer service is only experienced after there is an error made and that is one of the areas that we shine the most.  

Chad is not in the office  - his office manager Courtney, will not pick up the phone, and frankly doesn't give a care about her customers.  

I am a realtor and we recommend that aside from a home inspection, our buyer's get a separate A/C inspection.  I have lived in Vegas since 1972 and had been a customer of Gibson Air.  I guess they were bought by Alaskan Air.  We recommended our client contract with them for an inspection on a Henderson home.  Lorenzo came out - did a great job, prepared a coherent report along with cost estimates for part replacement. We and our clients were very pleased with his timelines, knowledge, and detailed report.

Two weeks later, we recommended that another client hire them to do an inspection on an HVAC unit at The District - all the units there are on the roof and require concierge access, and a bit of coordination for inspection purposes.  Real estate contracts have Due Diligence clauses in them, whereby buyers have a certain time frame to either back out of a purchase or negotiate repair costs with the seller.  In the case of this District condo - the clock is ticking.

We did not receive the report back for this inspection.  Our client paid upfront, and had to call a couple times to get it. Finally, when we get it - it is vague, has no back up ratings on it, basically says the readings are low or high and that the temperature split is bad.  Additionally, no recommended cost of parts, no nor replacement.  

Our client called Courtney, the office manager, and asked for an explanation of the items on the report - nothing.  She sends a brochure for a new unit and a cost estimate of $10k.  We still do not understand the report  - all it says is compressor, capacitor, motor are low or high - this means nothing to us.  How low?  How high?  What are the readings?  And that it is not operating according to manufacturer specs.  We asked what those were?  No response.

I then wrote a detailed e-mail to Courtney asking for an explanation of the findings and a cost for repair.  And a request for her to call me. Nothing.  So I called the office. She refused speak to me despite my client sending her an e-mail requesting she call me and permitting me to speak on his behalf.

Her response to my emailed questions - was to send me the same report I was questioning.   And to ask me to look at the technician's notes.  It was those exact notes that I was asking explanations for.  So she didn't bother to do anything.

I called back again to speak with her and this time she was interviewing people.  And couldn't speak. AGAIN. It is Friday - the inspection was done Wednesday, we have no real handle on what is going on with the unit.  The girl in the office, Tyler, or Taylor, is extremely personable and helpful. She told me that when a unit is 15+ years old  - they recommend replacement.  ( $ 10k cost).  I asked her to get me the specific readings showing that the capacitor, compressor, and motor were not operating properly, as my client and I , as will the seller, want to know if the system is operating at 5% below normal - 50% below normal or ???

Bear in mind, the home inspector who checked the output inside the property itself, recommended an A/C company look at the unit on the roof, but did not find anything amiss with the interior cooling in the condo.

The fact that this office manager shows no care or concern for customers, is unacceptable.  The report produced by a Ms. Alvarez, was vague and had no specifics. The only person in this company who gives a care is the girl who answers the phone.  Hopefully, she will gather the information requested, and give us a handle on the state of the HVAC unit - so that the buyer can make an informed decision on his purchase.

I would say steer clear of this company....Gibson Air was reliable and reputable.  Trying to speak with  Courtney  - the office manager - has been a nightmare  of one excuse after another. This is a take the money and run attitude....not a great way to run a business...

At this point, my client has hired a general contractor  - who has had his A/C guy go up on the roof and inspect the unit today - and we are awaiting that report. The money paid to Alaskan Air has been like throwing money down the drain.  

The irony is - if the second inspection states that a new unit is required, my client will certainly not buy it thru Alaskan Air - so Courtney's refusal to do her job, cost the company this business, as well as all our future A/C inspection recommendation business.

When I called to make an appointment the receptionist was super friendly and was good at explaining everything that was involved in the service I was requesting. The technicians were friendly as well, came on time (even called when they were headed to my residence), and explained the problem and my options clearly, didn't upswell and fixed the problem quickly. Overall great experience and will be returning if I have any problems again.

He listened to us, worked within our budget and never pressured us with scare tactics (other companies have done this with us)! After going back and forth with our home insurance warranty the usual ran around for 6 days. We finally decided to call Alaskan Plumbing Heating and Air, because we couldn't take the heat anymore.
I called late Monday afternoon to get a quote for a new AC unit. Within the time frame that they gave me Robert Hampton came in and inspected our AC unit, our attic and the outside unit. Robert H. was really professional he went in to our house with his shoe covered. Within no time he gave us quote and helped us with the financing process, it was really quick and easy with the helped of Courtney A. also. Once we got approved they (Robert H. and Courtney A.) coordinate the time to fix our AC. They put us as a priority because of our situation it was 101° inside our house.
Next day they came in ( Alex, Hondo, & Jamie) they were so prompt and professional and went to work right away. But before they started, they put a cloth lining covering over our floor to prevent dust and any damages. It took some time to take out our old AC unit and install the new unit. Once they were done, they cleaned up any debris and vacuum our stairs and floor before they left. We're really satisfied with the work that they did. And we have cold air again and had a really good night sleep after a week without AC.
I really highly recommend Alaskan Plumbing, Heating and Air two thumbs up for us.

To start off what a great gimmick! $90 to come to your place and then try to tell you everything needs to be replaced.
I told them on the phone I think it's the capacitor. I was able to pop start the fan so I knew that was the problem. I had looked at it before they had arrived and saw that it was a blown capacitor by the bulge on the top of it... So when Mr Swift came and diagnosed the problems he didn't even test it as i told it was blown. He then tried to tell me the condenser was broken and that needed replacement, then went up stairs and just by looking from 10 feet away I need new coils.. so he quoted me $7700 just to replace the parts on the unit or I can spend $14000 on getting a new one. So I let him go on his was and then in the morning I got my new capacitor for $13.98. Installed it in 5 minutes and oh wowwwww my ac is working amazing again!
So I guess you guys are just there to make $90 visits all day and not have to do work. $900 just to go to 10 houses and not have to do anything. Good gimmick! Wish I thought of that! Oh but you probably get people that aren't knowledgeable of HVAC and you wind up taking them for all they got!
Great way to do business! Way to try to take advantage of people in the summer!

I think these guys are professional BUT my experience was not good and I would not call these folks back.

I had a room in the house that was not getting cooled properly. Alaska  came out and concluded the only solution was a new $9k system or a $4k zone system.
They felt a duct booster fan - a solution I had read about on the net would not solve my problem. Well I went w a competitor who agreed w me.  A duct booster fan and window tint was a simple low cost effective solution. Still not sure why these guys missed it.

Alaskan certainly exceeded my expectations!  I contacted 3 companies for quotes on a hot water circulating pump.  The first company never called back with the quote and I called to inquire.  They said the cost would be 1200 and were sure I wouldn't want to spend that much.  The second quote was even higher but at least they showed up.  Chops from Alaskan came out (on time) and was thorough, courteous and gave me a reasonable quote.  He scheduled me for the next day, and even came back at 6:00p.m. to finish a few small items and make sure I was satisfied.  Not only was the quote reasonable, but he also installed a kitchen faucet  and the cost for both was less than both of the other companies.  I couldn't have been more pleased with the work and the customer service.  I am putting Alaskan on my speed dial!

I don't know where to begin.  We have 7 units at our HOA Clubhouse and after a comprehensive service call back in October 2021, we struggled on 2 working units.  I read the detailed notes and it was a no brainer for me, they were all in the process of failing.  For reasons unknown to me, bids were sought from general contractors which ranged from $80-120k.

I really wasn't satisfied with this and took over this project and asked Alaskan for their bid.  It was half of what some of the general contractors wanted.  Initially we were just going to fix the broken ones but Courtney was super flexible and voided the quote when the Board decided to start fresh and replace everything instead of continue to struggle with some old and some new units.

I dealt with quite a few others on this project, Benjamin on the phone, Kayla in Service, and Chad.  I'm very pleased to have made the announcement to our 920 residents that our Club House will no longer be 85-90° inside!  The Alaskan team sent an army, 3 vans with new units all shiny and new!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alaskan Air to anyone!  What started off as a break fix/bandaid for 7 x 15 year old units has now led to a commercial replacement of all of them!  Everyone has been super patient along the way, as my background is not in HVAC so they walked me through all the details and earned the business!

Needless to say, we will also be protecting our investment with a service contract!  I can't even begin to tell you how pleased I am with the result and on behalf of Northern Terrace Homeowners Association, and our residents, Thank You Alaskan!  I have some more projects in mind and will be reaching out shortly!

The repair guy, Josh, showed up within their window for the appointment.  However, he was not very interested in making a repair.  He just wanted to replace the A/C for $9,000.  He said the repairs could cost $1,000 because the materials were so expensive and the equipment was old and there would be no guarantee, blah, blah, blah.

He also had bad things to say about other Heating & A/C companies such as Best Plumbing and Heating.  Maybe he thought I would get another quote from them.  Just googling the whatever ton A/C unit gives many lower prices.

Thanks for nothing Alaskan!

I'd like to add an update- Joe E. is always so courteous and professional when I call. It's nice to call and have the same pleasant person answer the phone and remember you as a customer. That goes miles for me, as most companies have a huge turnover rate and you never seem to speak to the same person. Joe does a fantastic job of getting someone out to us quickly as well! He deserves 5 stars!!

I would also like to thank our service technician, Bogdan, for his time and professionalism today! He spent over 3 hours with us explaining the problems with our a/c unit, resolved multiple issues from filter noise to airflow. He also helped make our new a/c purchase affordable with a rebate and discount that he was not required to do. I will specifically ask for him for future service issues. Although, all of the technicians that we have had in the past have been great. I'm very happy with Alaskan's service on our heating and air and will continue to use them for all our heating and a/c needs!!

Our air conditioning went out completely on one of the hottest days of the year this summer during the weekend.  I called a LOT of companies immediately and Alaskan Plumbing Heating & Air was 1 of the only ones would would come over to see us (on a Sunday).  Marcel Swift came over at around noon and not only told us what was wrong with our old unit, but gave us advice we could trust.  24 hours later, we had a brand new air conditioning unit that was twice as large & 10 times better than what we had at a very affordable price!!  We could not be happier with Alaskan Air and feel very fortunate to have Marcel Swift as our contact representative.  True professionals!!

I am writing this review because of the excellent customer service I have received from Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning. I purchased two Maytag heat pump and air handler units from Alaskan in September and the units were installed and worked well for the rest of the air conditioning season. When cold weather came to Las Vegas, the downstairs unit was not blowing hot air. I called Alaskan on January 1st and said I needed someone to come look at it, although it was not an emergency. Carlos came out that afternoon and although he was not able to solve the problem, he set up an appointment for Matthew and Sean to come out on January 2nd. Matthew and Sean spent three hours and solved the problem. Because Alaskan emphasizes their service after the sale, there was no charge for the repair. This is what customer service is about. So the next time you look for the low price, remember that you want to allocate some value to after the sale support and service. Alaskan provides that prompt support and service.

This is the most dishonest company!

The  technician opened up my unit and put to wires together and shorted it out.
He thought I wouldn't notice but hard not to when the wires sparked.
He denied doing it but I saw I it myself.

I would like to start with they are lifesavers!! After getting home with my 10 month old baby in the middle of summer to a hot house I called around for someone to come on such short notice and it seemed nobody was available, until I reached Alaskan , they helped us instantly and sent over Robert who was absolutely awesome.  He provided us all the answers and told us the issues and the resolutions.  He got our a/c all set and we were good.  He was very courteous, knowledgable and most of all he was professional and we highly recommend Alaskan but mainly Robert Lol.

My air conditioner died a few weeks ago, and Benito, who had serviced it the year before, came out the same day, found the problem, even suggested two possible solutions, recommending the less expensive of them, and had it back up and running in about an hour.  

(I requested Benito, as he did the same thing the year before, suggesting a couple of solutions and recommending the less expensive of them.  I appreciate his honesty and the fact that he's not trying to sell me the most expensive thing he can.)

I know the unit is about 15 years old and will need to be replaced soon, and will likely go with these guys because I've never felt like they were milking me for whatever they could get out of me - a rare phenomenon these days. ‍

You get what you pay for folks, don't half ass it when it comes to your AC in Las Vegas.  Spend the money and go with Alaskan!

We went with Alaskan for a re pipe of hot and cold water, they put our water lines touching each other so my water has temperature issues, due to the lines next to each other, I'm not a plumber but the law of thermodynamics never changes, unless you work for Alaskan, they have had several chances to make it right and both times they said nothing is wrong, they also were supposed to put in a checkvalve since the way they ran the pipes are now turning on and off my water heater so I had to turn off my pool filler, I also was told that I would get new fixtures, but because my bathrooms are being re constructed they didn't put them on, they took the copper that they cut out, maybe that's why it was cheaper?
Anyway this company sucks, go with Geottl they take responsibility.

Alaskan came over immediately when we called back in June when the temperature was 110 degrees. They gave us a reasonable quote as we knew we were way over due for a new unit. They helped us get financed and installed within a couple of days.

Today, Robert came for our first tune up and everything is running great! Thank you Alaskan for making sure our investment is taken care of!

We found this company on a fluke and will never use another for our heating, air, and plumbing needs again. They have serviced our air conditioner and heater for a few years now and do an excellent job. They are knowledgeable, fast, affordable, and so friendly.  We had our water heater replaced last year and they stand by their work. We recently had a plumbing issue and they came out the same day and did not break the bank. Every technician has been polite and personable. I cannot recommend them enough.

Our hot water heater took a dump - no surprise there with the super awesome Las Vegas water - and we went to Lowe's for a new one.  We got there this morning at 6am and after purchasing the water heater we just knew we weren't going to see anyone until tomorrow.  Not so!! :)  Alaskan was able to fit us in today and the plumber was awesome! Bailey was very personable, knowledgeable and didn't mind the million questions my husband asked.  We didn't make things easy on him as it was a tight squeeze getting the old heater out and the new one in, but Bailey figured it out and had a great attitude about it.  5 stars for quick service and having a great attitude in this unbearable heat!!

I just want to give my thanks and gratitude to Carlos for the work he did to fix my air conditioner today.  He was the second person to come out and troubleshoot the problem.  He didn't have any preconceived ideas as to what the problem might be.  I made some observations and shared with Carlos when and the type of problems I was seeing.  He listened!  The first day he came out and discovered 1 real problem and 1 potential problem.  When he shared with me, I thought I should fix both.  He gave me an estimate and left to get parts and returned the next day.  The price to fix both the problem and the potential problem was going to strain my budget.  I asked Carlos if he could just fix what he knew was a for sure problem, and test before spending any money on a potential cause.  He did just that!  And the problem is fixed! This reduced my bill in half!  Thank you, Carlos!  Great job!  He also was very good at explaining what was happening to my system and gave me the confidence in him to fix!!

A few weeks ago I posted a review after a problem with scheduled service.  I want to be fair and I am now posting this updated review.  My name is Pat Simonton and we have used Alaskan for replacement a/c units, water heater flush and yearly maintenance checks.  The service had always been wonderful until the ball was dropped recently.  To refresh memories, the problem was, a scheduled duct cleaning that was not done on schedule and no call made to reschedule.  After a call to the business to find out what the problem was, the owner reached out to us, came to our home and explained what the issue was and assured it would be fixed.  The issue was fixed, all of our scheduled work has been completed with their usual professionals and expertise.  We will continue to use Alaskan for our future needs and maintenance.

They are very friendly, and when they're at your home, they never try to sell you on anything that you don't truly need. Mixed feelings here: Pros's - they had a guy come out right away, at 9pm on Memorial Day and said it would not cost extra for the Holiday. He was very nice and professional and worked fast to fix the problem. Con: my husband recognized the part that was replaced, and after some quick research we realized it was a $30 max part. They charged us $200?!!?!! For the part alone, plus the service call. Nothing I could do because it was done. I get the fact a business has overhead, but an over 6x mark up on a part is astronomical. I feel like I was WAY overcharged. I guess after reading the other 1 star reviews I'm lucky it was a $30 part. I would pass...

called this company to get an idea of what cost are for blower motor or capacitor. Was told they don't work of labor cost and material cost. they work only on flat rates. so they make up a cost and that's it, not based on labor or materials so a job can take an hour and parts cost $100 dollars and they will still charge $1000 as it's a flat rate. Read other reviews this company is very dishonest and unethical. Stay away!!!

I have been a customer for several years.  I had three toilets replaced in my house.  The plumber was professional, thorough and courteous. I was please with the service and price.  He chose toilets with a good flush mechanism.  No mess was left, and they were able to haul away the old toilets in the same visit.  I will continue to use Alaskan for both my HVAC and plumbing needs.

I love when a company respects your time and stays on schedule.

From the first day i contacted Alaskan, till the service was complete i was impressed with their ability to keep a clear line of communication with our scheduling/rescheduling and perform my service without hiccup. My HVAC units have touched into the 10 years of age area and like any mechanical piece of machinery it needs to be serviced, so i reached out to Alaskan. I made my choice based off a promotion they were offering that helped benefit a one of our local MMA fighters with a portion of proceeds going to benefit fund raising for him. I can appreciate small business offering back to local community, so they earned my business with that initially. I first scheduled with them only to having to cancel within a days notice because of emergency. They had a 24 hour number that made this easy to do, and i was called back 2 days later to reschedule. Fast forward a week later and I had a 2 hour window for them to arrive at my home, and the tech called me a half hour ahead of schedule to let me know that he was on the way. When the tech arrived he did the tune-up service on the units and gave me needed feedback on the invoice if there was anything additional he could suggest to be future issues (which there wasn't). I know NOTHING about HVAC and if the tech told me my gizmobober was broken, he likely could have sold me that it's something i would need. Anyone can appreciate the honesty, and not feel like they are spending more money than they should out of ignorance. I hope i don't have to call for service often, but in the future Alaskan has earned my business at this point. Service was as expected, for the price i expected and they kept my schedule even with my cancelling once on them. Thank you.

Very Helpful! The technician came out the next day after we contacted them. He ran a few diagnostics based on the issues we told him we were having. Gave us a run down of the overall condition of our units and answered all our questions without being pushy or trying to sell us on anything extra we didn't need. I contacted this company for a quote on replacing our entire HVAC system. They sent out Marcel who was not only on-time and wearing a mask, but he immediately made me feel at ease when he started explaining the ins and outs of our air conditioning system. He spoke in terms that I understood and answered every question I had without making me feel like I was stupid for asking it. He covered all the bases to the point where I felt very informed. I especially appreciated the fact that he and his company believe in proper installation. If it's not installed correctly, it doesn't matter how much you spent on the unit, it's not going to work right. That is a big issue for me and an even bigger issue with him. And that made me feel very comfortable. While I still need to do my due diligence and get other quotes from other companies, this company is on the top of the list so far. Thank you Alaskan for sending Marcel out. A friend of mine, her AC went out, so I decided to help her out. I made several calls to different companies with no prevail.  I finally reached out to Alaskan heating and Air.  I was charged up front for the call out and technician met me a couple hours later.  
Robert the tech checked over the areas, climbed into the attic and was there for about an hour and proceeded to tell me that nothing could be done. The advice I was given was to buy 2 new units.  The circuit boards could be bad but I really should get new units.  
Well yesterday another company called me and just for a second opinion I told him to meet me over there.  He spent time with the units, climbed in the attic and fixed the issue.  Circuit boards were bad, he was able to get the upstairs Ac to run temp until today when he was able to get the boards in and fix the issues.  Now the house is cool and my friend doesn't have to worry about the heat.
I understand that it was hot but if another company can swoop in and get the units up and running then I am able to say that for some reason your company failed and they were able to make money off of they're results where as you took 180.00 came out and in the end told me a big lie and wasted my time.  So hopefully this review will let people know that your company does not get results and will only take your money.  So for those reading this review BE AWARE!!!!!

This is my second experience with the team at Alaskan Heating & Air. Highest level of service I have received in my 14 years in Las Vegas. From the courtesy and efficency of the person who took my call (Amber) to the technician (Raul)-who was on time, experienced, heard what my issues/needs were and provided exceptional service and pointers for my system moving forward.

My wife and I decided to upgrade to a 48 range when we purchased our home. We opted for a 48 Zephyr Tempest II with the 1200cfm blower kit. This was quite an upgrade from our existing unit which meant that we also had to enlarge the 6 duct to a 10 duct. Like many home owners, cutting large holes in your home is not for the faint of heart. In addition you will also need to obtain a permit from your city. At that point we decided to call the professionals.

We requested a few quotes from multiple companies. Within a matter of minutes i received a message from Chad requesting more info on the project. I then received a call the following morning from Chris to go over the details including the permit. I spoke with the receptionist and scheduled the appointment.

Tyler called me 30 mins prior to the appointment. When he arrived he immediately put on shoe covers before entering my home. We spoke about the project at which he took measurements and started working. Within an hour he had cut the hole, sealed the opening, and installed the 10 exhaust cap. After all the work was completed he proceeded to clean the area.

My overall experience with Alaskan Heating & Cooling has been nothing short of phenomenal. They were responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. I have yet to use them for A/C work but I know that I have a company I can call to take care of it.

The house I recently purchased had an HVAC system installed so poorly, it was a disaster waiting to happen. So after reading some reviews about Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning, I decided to call them out to replace my existing system. Robert Hampton came out and did an excellent job outlining the job that needed to be done and gave me a very reasonable price quote. A couple of days later, a team of four HVAC technicians arrived earlier than the appointed time and immediately got to work. Six hours later, I had a new HVAC system and noticed a huge improvement right away!  After a couple of days, I noticed a noise coming from the furnace, so I called Robert and a technician was at my house within a few hours to correct the issue. Needless to say, I am very impressed with Alaskan Heating & Air! But don't just take my word for it...when the inspector from the City of Las Vegas Building & Safety Department came out to inspect the system, he indicated this was his first chance to inspect Alaskan's work and his exact words were I am highly impressed! Enough said!

Jeff and Tim came out this afternoon to replace my kitchen sink.  Of course the sink we purchased did not fit.  Jeff got on the phone and explained to the sales associate where we bought the sink what the problem was and what was needed.  Making a long story short Jeff and Tim stayed while my husband went back to the store (less than a mile away), made the exchange and they installed the sink.  I am grateful that they stayed because the company had cancelled and rescheduled our original appointment which was no fault of the plumbers.

Here we go with A/C issues in the middle of extreme heat...ouch! Alaskan was fantastic to work with, almost immediate once they were alerted of my problem...within hours fast friendly, honest and courteous service throughout the not so fun experience. Tony was thorough and complete with all testing, repairs and refrigerant recharging. It was a pleasure to work with them knowing we would be able to sleep tonight in reliable working a/c units. Had this company out to service my upstairs AC that was not blowing cold air. Tech Steven comes out and says I need a new thermal expansion valve. Says he will have to call and find out how much is part and how long it will take to get in and will let me know. Sounds good!! Then a couple minutes later Steven said it's gonna cost $1100 for the job. Strange he has been in-front of me the hole time and has not called anyone. I asked him how much is the part and what is the breakdown. Steven gets defensive and says I don't know. I say well if you don't know how do you know it's $1100? Steven says that's just how much the job is, we don't give breakdowns we just have a flat rate. Then he says I'm not ripping you off that's just the cost. I pull up the part cost in front of Steven in my phone and say it cost under $150 for the part and he agrees after a few minutes then I say how much is the Freon and labor? Steven just kept saying we don't give breakdowns and that's just what it is. I didn't agree to this and called the company and spoke to office
manager Chad. I asked Chad to review this bid and make sense of it. Chad admitted that part cost is under $150 but would not say how much is the cost for Freon and labor. Chad instead wanted to talk down about the contractor I had out that give a bid of $625 to do the same work. Only thing Chad wanted to do is say my tech was not doing the job correctly but never wanted to justify or explain his company's bid of $1100. I asked for a refund of the $89 dollars I spent on the service call and Chad said he will wait a few months and see about it. Just clearly shows he has no integrity and business is not run with any honesty. Look at Chads other response to complaints, he just wants to talk down to people and call them names like slumlords. He told me I'm the worst Chad he's ever talked to, I said he was the most dishonest Chad I've ever spoke to. Let's see what his response looks like....  below I also added a picture showing where he calls another customer a slum lord as this is how this company tries to explain there excessive bids $1100 and no breakdowns by calling customer names instead of just explaining there cost by giving you a bid. But that's not how this company does business.

They installed a broken blower into the unit I'm renting. They insisted it wasn't broken.

Took 3 of their technicians to come out to finally admit it was broken, and now that they fixed it my heating bill is up 700%.

It will soon be 2 months now without a fully functioning central AC unit.

Friendly staff but they work a couple of hours a day so our project is being stalled by them! I don't understand why they don't just finish the work in one go? A couple of days work turned into over a month now and they're not even finished? We would like to cut them a check so we can get rid of them but not until the job is completely done!

I used Alaskan back in 2018 for air ducts then and a new ac and some extra recievers put in. Chad the owner is a stand up guy. He and Chris came out to be sure a situation we had with our ducts was handled properly. What owner crawls around in a customers attic? Not many. He and Chris got us all situated and set up for the ducts and new ac the following year. Chad goes beyond the call of action. He is so friendly and helpful and kind. We really appreciate him. Unfortunately our compressor went out on our unit beginning this month. While its not ideal we cant afford to fix it. Chad has done everything in his power to help me solve this issue. Unfortunately I didn't have a labor warranty and we were just 3 months shy of the unit being 5 years, so I couldn't add one. But he tried, he called the warranty company trying to get one for us. He put in tons of time to come out and talk to me and spent time over the phone repeatedly. When quality of service is hard to find in this town, it's refreshing to have this guy on your side. Don't do it. Do yourself a favor and bypass these guys. They promise everyday that tomorrow the a/c unit will be installed and now we are going on 3 days and still no a/c unit with a different excuse everytime. For a $7000 job I expected so much more. Don't bother posting your BS  rebuttal, you guys just suck. Extremely unhappy customer.

I contacted Alaskan Heating and Air Conditioning after a friend's recommendation and was very impressed with their service. Our service Technician was Robert H. and he could not have been more friendly, polite and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and even helped to make sure I had a better understanding of what I needed to be done. They were prompt and efficient in with their work and cleaned any mess that was made. I would definitely recommend this company to others!

WARNING! ...don't believe what you read. 8/18/21 My HVAC system shut down and it was HOT out. I called and a tech came out and called me while I was at work told me it need a new mother board and it'd cost $950. I said OK, and asked about the ETA? He said he'd call me back in 5-10 with an ETA. it's 8/20/21 now and I still haven't heard from anyone.
I had to get it fixed so I called somebody yesterday and got it all fixed yesterday for $750. So Alaskan Air used to honor their word and due what they said ...but no longer do  ...their prices used to be reasonable and they no longer are, especially for the quality you get. Look elsewhere if you want value.

I am so impressed with Alaskan Air; I highly recommend them. Last Friday evening around 8:00 pm I noticed my house feeling warmer than usual, only to discover that by 9:00 pm the air conditioner was not producing cold air, and the temperature outside was 106 degrees.  I called my usual AC technician and left him a message and also left text messages an hour later to no avail. By this time I'm near panic. I start texting everyone I could think of and finally at 10:00 pm my nephew texted back recommending Alaskan Air. I called the company immediately and was told a technician would call shortly. At 11:00 pm I shut the AC off so as not to burn out the compressor. (When your AC begins sending out warm air, you need to shut it off to avoid further damage to the unit; namely, burning out the compressor.)  

It's now 12:30 am and it's 91 degrees in the house. All kinds of fear scenarios were going on in my head--the repair will be expensive; they'll recommend I have to buy a new one because my unit is over 10 years old; if I do need a new one, how long will I have to wait; tomorrow will be 115 degrees; I hope the tech is honest...

Finally, the technician calls, introduces himself, says his name is Carlos, and apologizes for the delay.  He states he'll be here as soon as practicably possible as he has another call before me. I can well understand as it's still 100 degrees outside. I tell him it's 91 degrees in the house. He gives me an approximate time and he arrives 45 minutes earlier than the time stated. Carlos is a young man, very well mannered, and professional. He turned the AC unit on and immediately went outside to ascertain the situation. He returns about 25 minutes later and begins testing the vents. He explains the AC unit needed a new capacitor, he replaced the part and the air was back on beginning to already cool the house; and the bill was reasonable. I was sooooo impressed with his honesty, integrity, and his courtesies.

Problem solved, the AC was working again, and Carlos left to take another call in the middle of the night while it's still 100 degrees out here in the desert. Thank you, Alaskan Air. Your technician, Carlos, represents your company well. I will recommend your company to everyone I know as well as everyone in my subdivision . I'm also posting this review in our neighborhood app, Nextdoor. Thank you again!

AK technician Bogdan was quick to evaluate my non-working A/C unit within a half hour of my call in the evening. After all the options were thoroughly explained I am pleased I chose Alaskan to install a new unit. The techs installed quickly & neatly and I feel confident that if I ever need service in the future I'm in good, trustworthy hands with Alaskan.

This company is great.  I came home from work last night to an 85 degree home and two hot dogs.  As they had put the unit in years ago I called Alaskan to repair it, thinking I would have to get an appointment the next day.  Matt called me back, let me know he could come that night and called when he was on his way.  Within a couple hours from the time I got home I was sitting in a home getting cooler by the minute.  The part was in warranty and the labor was reasonable.  Matt was very kind and professional.  Couldn't have gone better in a bad situation.  Thanks, Matt.

Stay away!!! They over price everything and the tech Robert is a complete joke. This guy is a liar and any company that would hire him is questionable. I ended up needing a complete brand new unit and before I agreed to purchase it they were at my house calling me asking why I wasn't answering the front door. Not only did I not ok the purchase but never agreed to a time to instal. Goodluck getting a receipt for your records. When the technician robert told me flat out that he is surprised they haven't fired him yet, makes you wonder what's going on over there. Stay away.

At the end of last summer my a/c units were not performing properly &now with the early arrival of summer...I called
Alaskan Quality for an inspection of my units they were flexible with my crazy work schedule and were even 30minutes early for my appointment.   Chris & Rick were my technicians...these two were AWESOME! They educated me on the units, had a few minor repairs and they were on their way. I have never had such an EXCELLENT experience with their knowledge, professionalism and courtesy!!! I HIGHLY recommend ALASKAN for any A/C & heating inquires!! I am a client for life!!

We really enjoyed our honest technicians! They thoroughly inspected the cooling side of our air conditioning unit, as explained without any unnecessary up-selling.  During their visit, we were shown where in our AC unit, to look for clues on what to consider saving funds for future repairs or replacements.  Something that was particularly impressing was their professionalism.  Our technicians showed and explained everything that they were doing, at the time they were inspecting.  In the past, we have not received hands on walk through of our AC unit, and what to be made aware of as a homeowners.  Alaskan brought to our attention where to look, what to look for, and how long to wait for having professional inspections of our air ducts, unit pressures, and temperatures. They are informative and detailed in all aspects of HVAC; we learned that this acronym stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, and is the technology of indoor [and vehicular] environmental comfort.  
We highly recommend ALASKAN for all your air conditioning needs! In addition they have great billboards, a cool mascot, and a company that values being involved in our community!! (we actually won a certificate of service during a local Boy Scouts of America event)

I had a water emergency on Sunday of course resulting in water completely cut to my house.  After calling several companies, Alaskan was the only company that was actually truly 24/7 and willing to come on Sunday.  The on-call plumber was Luis.  He was wonderful and came within 1 hour to fix my plumbing problem.  He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful.  Because of him, I will keep Alaskan as my plumbing and HVAC company.  Their prices are better than other companies too.

I called because my heating system would not turn on, unless I turned it off and on 4 to 5 times using the control panel.  Alaskan came out and I paid $89.00 for a inspection.  They said it was an issue with a part not closing properly, and they fixed the issue. The next day, no heat again.  They came back out and said something had to be replaced, and it turned out to be $580.00 to make the repair.  The next day, no heat again.  This time it would not come on after turning it off and on, no matter how many times I tried.  They came back out, but this time, it's the outlet and they told me to call an electrician to come out, and not to call them back out for the issue?  Granted that this was in March, but I wanted to share this, because I am still not happy about spending so much money and it turned out to be the outlet as the issue.  It does not turn on at all, and I canceled their auto generated emails.  It prompted me to put why I am cancelling their emails.  I said I felt I had paid to replace a part to fix my heating issue, and it was a waste of money, when the outlet was the real issue.  No one responded, and I will NEVER use Alaskan again.  I cannot afford to pay almost $700.00, and still have the original issue.  I do not recommend, unless you have money to burn.

Alaskan Air Conditioning is a high quality company with very professional employees all around. Called at 8am, had Chris their tech at my house by 9:15am and my air conditioner was fixed with a new circuit board by 10:50.. This was with him driving to go pick up the part and driving back so quickly. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. I work at a major airline and our motto is treat your customers right and they will come back, and Alaskan Air Conditioning knows how to take care of their customers! If I ever have anymore air conditioning or heating needs I will be calling Alaskan Air Conditioning.. Thank you so much for quick and efficient work, you are greatly appreciated and WHO YOU ARE MAKES A DIFFERENCE:))

I had Alaskan remove a swamp cooler and install a slim line A/C In my garage
I'm still waiting to have it completed because they have left in a such mess that I'm sure homeowners will not accept.
The inside of the garage is finished nicely but the outside looks like some sort unfinished abortion.  
I'm waiting for them come back out to properly finish the job soi can get a stucco company to close the hole left by the swamp cooler.
They called me for the final payment but I'm not paying until it is finished to my satisfaction.

In November of 2021 my water heater was replaced by Joey, was he professional and friendly while doing a great job. Then in April of 2022 my dishwasher broke and the installation technician caused a leak under the sink, called Alaskan plumbing again and not only did they fix the leak they installed the dishwasher as well, this was far more than I expected and they were wonderful. Will continue to use Alaskan plumbing they go above and beyond!!!

Alaskan Air installed my system and with their maintenance contract has done a great job of keeping it running well.  The extra kudos are for the extra little things they do when they come out, replacing my filters and minor adjustments that keep my system at peak performance.  I recommend them not just for maintenance but if you need a new system, you really want to get a quote from them and know you will get the service you expect!

Just had my annual spring-summer tune up on my A/C system, and although it's a new unit and still under warranty, the service technician, Benito, performed an extremely thorough and professional inspection and test of the system. Benito worked with the original company that serviced my unit(s) for the past 27 years, and despite the change-over in ownership of the business, I feel confident continuing this service under the new company's management thanks to his proficiency and honesty.  His candor with customers and detailed understanding of the unique aspects of the units in this condo complex ensure honest, quality work during each and every visit.  Thank you, Benito!

I called Alaskan Air after coming home from work and finding my downstairs A/C out. This was on a day that it was 112 degrees outside. Dismayed at having to call for an A/C repair on this day, I was quickly contacted by a service technician from Alaskan who was willing to come out that evening. I explained to him I could get by till the morning. They promptly called and showed up by 8 am, as agreed. The technician was friendly, professional, and had my A/C working with in 20 minutes. He explained and showed me what went wrong and what he replaced. The cost was very reasonable. The technician explained to me the life of my units and discussed whether I should consider replacing them based on my intentions with the home. Very informative and not at all a hard sales pitch.

I will definitely be using Alaskan Air in the future.

We have lived in the Vegas area for over 20 years and have now had to replace 4 water heaters. The team from Alaskan Plumbing are by far the most professional plumbers that we have ever encountered! When I called them I spoke with Kayla who was an absolute sweetheart. She was terrific to work with and she was able to provide us with a same day appointment. When the plumbers Brenner and Noah arrived they wore masks and were extremely friendly and professional. They insulated the pipes and installed a drip pan (no other plumber ever did that for us).  We couldn't be happier!

Last Saturday our capacitor went out. Being that it was one of the hottest days that we have this Summer in Las Vegas, the timing could not have been worse. To add insult to injury, it was 7:00pm.
We called a number of companies that could not accommodate us until the next day. We called Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning and they connected us to a tech right away. The tech was Robert, and he not only arrived to our home quickly (he had one job ahead of us), but when he arrived he was professional, worked very efficiently, and did it all with a smile on his face! I would highly recommend Alaskan because of our experience with Robert & the fair pricing that we received. A really fantastic experience. Worst service I have ever experienced! First, they sent a untrained rookie to my house, which was overwhelmed when he checked out the plumbing issues I called about. He left my house and came back with his trainer over an one hour later. The plumbing issues I called about were a broken bathtub handle  and needed a quote for repiping/rehosing my kitchen sink after a remodel. When both the rookie and trainer came back, the trainer saw the bathroom tub, said there were rocks in the pipes. But did nothing to actually fix it. Then when he moved to the kitchen, he started throwing numbers out like it was an auction.  He ended up quoting me close to $800 to reattach/rehose the plumbing under my sink. He tricked me into changing a part (a part that cost $10 at Home Depot) for $100 dollars. Icing on the cake was that the rookie installed it, and CREATED A LEAK. $200 dollars later (parts, labor and service fee) I called the company to let them know what happened, all they said was sorry. Do not use this company! They are con artist that don't care about quality service, all they want is your money and to created problems.

We came back from Northern CA to an ice box of a house.  Our thermostat wasn't communicating with our heater. I called Alaskan and they had a technician out the following day. What can I say about Angelica?  The best service I have had in years!!!!  She was informative and communicated what she saw.  She really new what she was doing and took the time to tell us all about our Air conditioning unit.  

Other companies we called wanted to charge $95 just for showing up?  WHAT??????  That will never make any sense to me.  

Being new to Nevada, we don't have the connections we used too.  We will always use Alaskan and would love to have Angelica back taking care of us.

I can't say enough amazing things about Chris and his team at Alaskan. After previously getting two outrageous quotes for duct system replacement from other local HVAC companies, Chris showed up to give me an honest assessment and the best quote. His honesty was SO refreshing!!! He and his team showed up the following week to do a full duct replacement. They were respectful, kind, and walked me through the entire process. A few hours later our duct work was replaced and our AC is FINALLY blowing efficiently!!! Beyond thankful for Alaskan. We will be using them for all of our HVAC needs in the future. Thanks guys!!!

They have done three full central heating and air replacements for me, both units at my current residence and the single unit at my previous residence. Today we had the Alaskan team come out to replace our air conditioner. Joey, Sean, Jimmy, Jaime and Robert came and they were very professional. They were done sooner than we expected! Showed us how to work the use thermostat and explained everything to my husband and I. They were patient and polite with us. They knew what they were doing. Answered all questions we had. We would highly recommend this crew to anyone out there that needs heating or air conditioning.

Alaskan Heating and Air called to install my water heater less than 2 hours after I bought it at Lowes...Tim was knowledgable, worked fast and clean and had the entire job done in less than 2 hours . Very impressed with this service.

I bought a TRANE AC UNIT in 2017. It runs perfectly; and I wanted to keep it that way. Marcel came and did the AC UNIT inspection and did an excellent job checking all aspects of the AC UNIT. I was impressed with Marcel's level of expertise in the way he went about conducting the inspection. By Marcel's precision in doing the inspection; I could tell he was a TOP OF THE LINE AC UNIT TECHNICIAN. Marcel left with my AC UNIT operating as efficiently as before he came; which is all that I expected.

very helpful in an emergency situation. I owned a get away condo on Vegas, and arrived on July 2nd to an AC unit that wasnt working. made it thru the evening/ night and next morning I called and got a tech on the way. the charge had leaked some refrigerant and Raul found the leak and gassed it back up , had us cooling again by 1 pm.
funny part is I am an HVAC contractor in Colorado, but of course you dont take your tools on vacation!!! and on Saturdays its even more difficult.
Alaskan heat and air, saved me since it was 106 in the evening !!! lol

It's obvious from Chad's tone that he is untrustworthy and uses unprofessional slimy talk. No one calls a landlord a slumlord  three times in 1 response unless they are extremely disrespectful and trying to deceive the reader.

In fact, first Chad says that I'm a slumlord but then says I don't even own the property. He contradicts himself. How can I be a slumlord if I don't own the property? Obviously he's just trying to stain my character and in fact has slandered me.

The home in question is mine on the deed and I will offer my full name and address for anyone who wants to verify this. I own rentals and I keep each one impeccable, repairing issues immediately to keep my tenants happy. The fact that Chad of Alaskan calls me a slumlord, slanders me, and even claims I don't own the home in question shows that he is a slimy salesman who will lie and say anything to his customers to take your money.

Regarding Chad's comment that i did not ask my parents for their AC people, I actually did but they are older seniors...my dad is 82, they don't remember the name of the company they used, and can't find their receipt. So I called Alaskan and what a mistake that was. But again Chad uses this example to deveive and manipulate the opinion of the reader.

Chad says his company earns an honest living and said that we certainly are not the cheapest but pay attention to the actual facts: nowhere in his response did he refute numbers I gave, that the part I needed is online for $180 and that it's less than a 2 hour job, that ALASKAN tried to charge me $1200 for that 2 hour install job of a $180 dollar part, OR that another company did the same job for literally half the cost.

Don't be fooled by his rant, look at the facts. He also doesn't say anything about my call to him where i asked for a discount and where I never received any call back. Pay attention to the facts, not his intentionally manipulative rant.

Also, Chad contradicts himself. First he says I'm a slumlord, then he says it's not my house, then he says my mother lives there! Obviously he's confused. My mother lives in her own house. I own gorgeous rentals that are always well taken care of and will show the home to anyone who asks.

Finally, Chad of ALASKAN lists all the business expenses that every other business has, yet thinks that by listing these, miraculously his business is better than every other business that has those exact same business expenses, even ones who charge a lower rate. This makes no sense. Again he's just trying to manipulate the reader.

Chad's response is full of smoke and mirrors. If you want to pay DOUBLE the going rate, use Alaskan. If you want good service and quality work without the attitude, slimy talk, high prices, and entitlement, go ANYWHERE else.

Alaskan started the job at the beginning of October 2020.  The sales guy, Marcell, and installation technicians were great.  They were prompt and on-time, did a great job and left me with a much better AC.  As advertised they had to remove some drywall and insulation during the install.  No surprises.  With all that said, Alaskan ensured me that they were going to clean up their mess and repair the opening to my attic.

The repair to my attic opening took a bit longer than anticipated.  The repair is now scheduled for this weekend (2/26).  The sub contractor claimed they had trouble getting a hold of me.  I checked my records and couldn't find any evidence of their calls.  We were able to cool down and Chad from Alaskan and I talked, I told him what I found, and he was apologetic.  I very much appreciated this.  I also apologized for my short tempter and we had a good talk about the path forward.

Bottom line, some things were dropped by their subcontractor.  Chad (and Alaskan) were willing to talk through it and still ensure the job was done.  They even offered financial compensation if I had to pay anything out of pocket, but that wasn't the case.  While I can't give them a 5 star review, I am making this edit from 1 to 3 stars.  The willingness to talk it out and apologize goes a long way, and that is admirable since in the end we are not perfect.

Marcel arrived at my residence in good spirits!  He was ready to solve my AC problem.  Marcel began to work on the problem right away.  

Marcel explained--in simple terms--the digital thermostat and the system in general.

I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO, but if need be I'd call Alaskan Plumbing/Heating again.

Alaskan is a plumbing repair company too.  Ruben came out to my house on a Saturday and replaced my garbage disposal.  Quick and very professional service!  Very reasonable pricing.  Ruben thoroughly explained everything that was wrong with my old disposal.  He gave me options and I decided to have it replaced.  He changed it out fast and clean.  I would highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

I would highly discourage using Alaskan Plumbing. From earlier this year they misdiagnosed plumbing issues in my house making me replace toilets unnecessarily. All to later find out there was issues with the external sewer line the whole time. They even snaked everything so this should have been discovered earlier. Per their recommendation and pricing scheme I opted to have them replace the entire sewer line. The sewer line itself is fine and in working order, but they left my entire, ENTIRE, front yard landscaping looking like a job site..in complete shambles. I'm looking at several estimates now of $2000 for re-doing the landscaping. When I call to talk to them, they all keep referring to-this is a Chad issue. Conveniently he's always in a meeting and will call back. I've never heard back from Chad after several calls and emails.
I've had other sewer line repairs completed and one would hardly know they were there. Not the case with Alaskan. Complete unprofessionalism. Mind you I paid over $8500 for this job.
Save your money go anywhere else but here.

Chad and his crew came back out and fixed everything back to its original form. Super appreciate him sticking to his word and the companies core values!

I want to say thank you to the staff at Alaskan air for their help! Chad and Chris were calming and reassuring during my AC crisis. Jaime and Alex did a great job fixing my unit and they even removed a lizard from my house! Thank you for your kindness and honesty and the Schwartz girls are happy to have cold air again!

Seriously the best out there!! Professional techs that are respectful and do amazing work!! We've installed 2 units with Alaskan, one 3 years ago and another yesterday & I think it speaks volumes that it's was the same tech from 3 years ago. Many HVAC places have high turn over and it goes to show that the techs are valued from the top down. I wouldn't use anyone else!!

Alaskan has been so wonderful to us- I can't recommend them enough! We've had Alaskan do a ton of projects for us over the past 4 years; they replaced our HVAC, redid our entire ventilation system, performed maintenance for our HVAC biannually, fixed plumbing problems, and replaced our water heater. Every employee who's visited my house has been professional, kind, and prompt. I appreciate how consistent they are in arriving during their scheduled time slot- I'm never left waiting around for hours. Another thing (perhaps the most important thing) I love about Alaskan is how much the techs express enjoyment in working for them. I really value businesses that treat their employees well, and it's clear to me that Alaskan does just that. Overall, amazing company. I would give them 6 stars if Yelp would let me!

Homeowners in Vegas know that finding decent, honest service people is a crapshoot with very long odds...
Once upon a time, Alaska Air was our only AC service call. We'd relied upon them since 1998 so in 2011, when we needed a new roof unit, we called no one but them. The very large new roof unit (almost $12k) was installed but, unbeknownst to us, the required city inspection we paid for was never completed. The unit came with a five year warranty and service agreement. Annual service calls always seemed to require some kind of part but, as it was under warranty and no charge to us, we didn't think much of it. When I questioned one technician as to why our unit - being nearly new- would be having problems - he told me that AC units are built, tested and rated for an average temperature. Las Vegas summer heat, he continued, is way above average and no unit was built especially to deal with such extremes.
Early last summer, as it neared the end of warranty, the unit went out. We could smell an electrical smell and
immediately called Alaska Air for repairs. We were charged for a 'burned out' part. Less than two weeks later it happened again. Imagine our shock and dismay to discover that upon questioning the service people we learned that during the initial installation the unit had not been properly wired to the electrical junction box and was drawing too much power, causing a part to repeatedly burn out. Not only that, but now Alaska Air repeatedly denied ever installing it in the first place!! When we finally found the paperwork to prove they had indeed been the installer of record, we were told the company was under new ownership and this was not their problem. We asked to be reimbursed for the previous two repairs as the unit was still under warranty and for the city inspection we paid for to be completed. Both requests we denied. The unit must now be re-installed to bring it up to code and avoid the risk of both burning up the unit completely and burning our house down!! So we are left with paying twice for a job that was never completed properly in the first place.
The moral of the story? Honest service companies in Sin City are rarer than MegaBuck jackpots and Alaska Air is certainly a losing bet.
