Best Plumbing Services in Chesapeake, VA

I am a Realtor® and had a plumbing leak show up from two old washer water lines in one of my listings. I had called a handyman that agreed to meet me first thing Mon. morning. Two and a half hours later I left a message​ for him not to bother showing up.

I called Petit Plumbing. Todd was in the area and said he could be there by 11:30. He said he could work this job in before his next appointment.

Todd showed up on time, gave me an estimate and got started. From the beginning, ​it was obvious Todd was a professional who was going to take the time to do the job right. Not only did he do the job right but was very respectful of the home and cleaned everything up at the end. The original estimate was for 2 hours and he ran a bit over that but said I quoted you a price for 2 hours and that's what I'm charging. Gotta love a tradesman that sticks to his estimate.

Todd and Petit Plumbing have definitely​ earned a spot on my preferred go to vendors'​ list.

Saved us over $4000 from other quotes and the work has lasted and he guarantees it too!  He has actually checked back in with us to be sure everything is working right!  Where else can you get that kind of customer service these days??  Extremely knowledgeable! Poor communication. Do NOT use them if you have a rental/second house. They do not call to inform you what is going on. I had a leak at my 2nd house in Norfolk and I was very specific that they need to talk to me not the kids in the house. One way communication is all I got and a bill 2 months after the fact. The house was built in 1959 and my son said they obviously did not want to work on the plumbing. So after 4 days of no response  I called Dons Plumbing and he was GREAT he went to the house the next day, called me to tell me what the problem was and fixed it within a few days.

My husband is in the military, so we are out of state for a couple years.  We're renting out our house in VA Beach.  When the tenants' water bills looked ridiculously high, we called Blessing's Plumbing about figuring out the problem.  Initial experience was fine.  We were told that a toilet upstairs was running and would need to replace Mansfield flush valves.  Owner, Craig, suggested we replace valves on all four toilets, as they were known to be faulty.  Offered to do this at the low price of $1130.00!  Eeek.  No thanks.  Well, we'd been dealing with this toilet issue for too long and wanted to get it fixed for our tenant ASAP, so we agreed to fix the faulty toilet at some ridiculous price.  I forget how much exactly, but about $350. We kind of felt like we were probably being ripped off, but again, we just wanted it fixed.  
We had the work done, but a few weeks later, my father-in-law checked it out and said it was still running unless you lifted the handle.  No big deal; I figured the plumber would send someone back out to finish the job.  Well, he did...I thought we were good to go. BUT then the secretary called me and said we owed $80+ for the work!   I was outraged.  She said they'd replaced the toilet handle/lever, and they were only charging me for the part.  I said there must be a mistake because no one called me to ask if they could do more work above what we'd agreed to.  I said I wanted to talk to the owner and see an invoice.  I didn't get either, but a month or so later, I got another call asking for payment.  Not wanting to mess up our credit, I paid the bill.  I also emailed the owner.  A quick Google search will show you that a handle for a toilet costs less than $10.  What a scam!  The owner never replied to my email, and when we finally got the invoice, it was just the amount owed, not an itemized bill.  I'd love to see the receipt for a toilet handle/lever that costs $80+.

We were out of town when our hot water heater, which also produces the heating, went on the fritz at our rental property. Our Home Warranty Company wasn't able to get a plumber dispatched in a timely manner, and with a tenant without hot water AND heat, we just couldn't wait. We called Lanthorn and they were out the very same day, identified the issues, were able to find the rare parts and complete the installation the very next day.

Their communication throughout the process was timely, top-notch service, even texting to let us know when they were on the way. Their rates were more than reasonable, and their staff, from the Office Manager to the Technician on-site, were super professional.

All around great experience; will definitely use again and refer with confidence!

I called yesterday because my garbage disposal decided to be nasty and give up in a bad way. They came right out this morning and got a new one on and everything back to normal quick. Great price, great guys. Walt is awesome. Thank you!!

So, let's see. I had a home warranty and an old HVAC died. They came in, and installed the new system, but charged me $2500 extra for bringing the old home up to code. Which I paid for.

Then.... a week later, I noticed my ceiling was drooping. I crawled into the attic, to find the entire ceiling was flooding. I called it in and the regional manager promptly showed up. Upon inspection, he said he guys messed up the install in several ways, most notably, the put the drip pan, in the wrong place (i.e. the flood).

So, I told him my daughter can sleep in my house next door until they can repair the system. What I didn't know was, that I would then have to chase someone done late into the next week to get anything scheduled.

When the did come out and correct the issue, the left my daughter having to store her entire wardrobe on the floor. The ceiling is still not fixed, and nobody has even attempted to schedule it to be repaired.

So now, I play phone tag, with the 1 800 number people. Why am I having to CHASE down support, for their mistake? Long holds, phone disconnects... I originally posted a 5 star review... but, can not stand by that any more.... Customer service is step one in being a trustworthy company.

Had a water leak in foundation took a week to repair/showing up early isn't their style had a counter top replaced twice Dave screwed it up twice and hasn't been heard from since I wouldn't call these guys to fix a faucet talks big  produces little and charges way too much.

Had a hot water heater installed, for Apollo heating system, so you can't get this done thru like Home Depot or Lowes. Called and had Chuck Leobold come out, write work order and had installed on 3/10/2016. The thing leaked and flooded garage!! Just sent email cause it's after hours, so let's see how long before I get reply! I'll be back to let you know what happens and how the service is. Stand by!
Ok so part of yesterday's (7-6-2016) got removed, not sure why, buts here what happened. After like 25 minutes waiting to schedule an appointment for someone to come check this, I finally got to schedule for the afternoon and the tech would call me 30 minutes before arriving. Well he did, so I met him at the house and he quickly figures out the issue. But he doesn't have part on his truck so he calls office and gets them to overnight the part, cause they don't have one at office either. He tells me I'll be back tomorrow with part! I'm of course a little skeptical but hey what really can I do. So today, 7-7-2016, the tech, Herb, calls me and says he's on his way! He shows up within 15 minutes, installs part, gives me some free advice on making heater more efficient and cleans up and goes! This guy Herb was very polite, professional and courteous! I'm gonna bump this up to 4 stars because of Herb. Great employee!!

Who said best of best???  More like worst of the worst!!!  Hugely overpriced, didn't know what they were doing, lacked basic diagnostic equipment, no parts carried on truck, tried to talk us into thousands of dollars of work and when we asked for written estimate, they left in a hurry and never came back.
