Best Electricians in San Antonio, TX

I have called Bolt Electric several times for electrical issues in my home.  Each time a technician has come,  he (Andy) was really professional! He explained everything as he was doing it and we even had a discussion about preventative maintenance. His expertise,  professionalism,  and positive attitude speak volumes on who he is and how great a company like Bolt Electric really is.  As long as I live in San Antonio and need electrical help with my home,  I will go to Bolt

Bob came out to fix an electrical problem we ran into while trying to install a new lighting fixture in our dining room. I was running a few minutes late and he called to let me know he was at my house, and was and patiently waiting when I got there. He fixed the electrical wiring and got my chandelier back up properly and was efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend!

On a Saturday, 1/2 of my house had no electricity which was a major problem for me because my computer and work was affected.  Mr. Allgood came out that day, replaced a part and everything was back up again.  I have been with them for a few years and highly recommend this company.

Very responsive, thorough and knowledgeable.  Mario came and helped us diagnose malfunctioning outlets, install chandeliers and ceiling fans, and add dimmers to critical lighting throughout the house.  Also works quickly and has every conceivable tool at his fingertips. Highly recommended company.

Steve was able to resolve a chronic issue quickly and  with care that nothing was damaged. Based on a positive initial visit I have given him additional work.

Very nice guys but the quote was a bit unreasonable. We've gotten quotes from three other electricians for about $340-$600 to rewire the circuit for our dryer and change the breaker to 30 amp. Stetson quoted $780. He seems very knowledgeable and I haven't seen the work done, but it's definitely not worth that much. I'd get multiple quotes before going with them.
The electrician we went with charged $380 for the work we needed and removed our unused spa circuit for no charge. These guys quoted $200 just to remove the circuit.

I cannot say enough good things about Thomas. He responded to my call (a room of outlets that were not working) and immediately scheduled an appointment. He was on time and went right about it. He doesn't waste one minute and he is fast and thorough. He went above and beyond and I couldn't be more thankful that I found such a reliable, fair and hardworking electrician. Thank you so much!

Hunter Electrical installed four light fixtures for us. The service was prompt (tech arrived on time), professional and well-done.  The technician also checked our fuse box and recommended installation of a surge protector that a prior contractor had apparently failed to install. The tech had a surge protector with him and installed that as well. We heartily recommend Hunter Electrical to anyone needing electrical services done on their home or business.

Professional, safe, thorough, efficient and reasonably priced. I had a wiring issue before I could install a new pool pump timer. Steve was there when he said he would be and did what he said he would do. He even came back to check the wiring when timer wasn't working and he determined it was a defective part. He then rewired the replacement part - gratis. Now THAT's customer service. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone needing an electrician.

I am a landlord and this is the second time I have used Malco.  Last time, they fixed my issue quickly, billing is reasonable and simple.  This time, they called me back and offered advice that avoided a trip and any out of pocket costs all together. Super responsive and helpful.  I will absolutely call again.

I had Kevin install two outlets in my enclosed garage ceiling.  One other electrician wanted to avoid the hassle of feeding the wiring in the ceiling and  just do conduit on the outside of the drywall.  Another qualified electrician was very slow to respond and would have done the work for less, but lost out due to being non-responsive.  

Kevin listen to what I wanted and gave good suggestions to accomplish the task and was consistently quick to respond to my emails.  His bid was not the cheapest, but he was very responsive and did EXACTLY what I wanted, such that there were no additional drywall repairs required as well.  

I highly recommend Pawson Electric for residential work.

Saw Lite it Up on Yelp and decided to give them a try since they were located close to my residence, and I am so lucky I did. The electrician arrived when he said he would, was very professional and personable, and completed the job without trying to sell me a service we didn't need. He guaranteed the work and I couldn't be more satisfied. We plan to use Lite it Up again if necessary.

We had to have some outlets replaced before selling our house, I contacted Juan after getting another quote that I felt was overpriced.  Juan was quick to respond, and offered some suggestions to contain cost. He was able to come out later in the evening and got the job done that day!  He was on time, he was quick and efficient and we found the cost to be very fair.  Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

These guys are amazing! Darin called me back quickly after I left a message. I was desperate for someone to come out the same day for a new water heater install where the plumber was unsure of how safe the aluminum wiring was for the connection. I called at least 5 other electricians, but Max Electrical were the only ones to offer to come out and look at my water heater connection within an hour.

They evaluated it and said they could do what was needed for a couple hundred, which I was thrilled about because I was already spending so much money on the water heater installation and needed to be able to turn it on. They got the job completed within a few hours, professionally and reasonably while explaining everything to me.

Darin even swung by my place before the original ETA to talk to the plumber, see what was needed and leave equipment for his crew coming later. I can't recommend them enough! Now we have hot showers again and I am incredibly thankful. Thanks to DJ and Chris, too!

I agree with John that this guy was not transparent about his prices. Part of that is on me for not outlining it very clearly BEFORE the work began. I normally am very diligent and I made an assumption based off pricing outlines in previous reviews.... my bad.

What I DO have an issue with is him trying to charge me almost $475 to hang four tiny towel hooks, two 15 glass shelves, and 3 small 12 decorative mirrors in a row. (Three of which are crooked : / )

By the way, his invoice was written haphazardly on a random piece of scratch paper in pencil. Nice.

I know it's a tired cliche, but I'm so sick of (most) contractors trying to take me or my grandmother to the cleaners because we are friendly and female. I think charging me $60 EACH for a f*@!ING towel hook is ludicrous!

We also had issues of him not showing up and needing to reschedule. I hate leaving bad reviews, especially because I rely on a client base for my own living, but I value my clients and it just steams me when other service providers don't value theirs.

Be CLEAR with pricing BEFORE you begin work, because he will remain (I suspect purposely) ambiguous.

He came out and did a few hours worth of work for a good price! Work came out perfect. I got new outlets in my garage which I desperately needed. 10/10 recommend!

My Eaton breaker had been tripping every once in a while (failing self test), and finally gave out last night. Other places had me scheduled a month out, but Maury took my call, came out in a couple of hours, and was in and out in 15 min. Problem solved, no muss, no fuss. Love that kind of service. Will be my go-to guy for all things electric going forward.

Cristian showed up in record time, investigated our A/C problem thoroughly, explained our options and quoted exact prices, then effected repairs swiftly. I am so happy with Jon Wayne's service and their professional technicians.

I think it is very worthwhile to pay for their Rescue Club membership. You get priority scheduling (even on weekends), yearly maintenance, and discounts ... at a quite reasonable yearly fee. Saves the time, money, and aggravation I've had in dealing with cheaper companies.
