Good news: They arrived at the time that they promised on the phone, and they fixed the problem.

Bad news: The job took far longer than it should have, and I was paying by the hour.

One star *would* have been my rating, but I am giving them three, as they were willing to negotiate with me on the price after-the-fact.  I sent a straightforward non-antagonistic letter to them 48 hours later (after we'd both had time to cool-off) and they did refund part of their original bill back to me.  I still feel that I was overcharged for the job, but at least it wound up being moderately high instead of outrageously high.

Painful lesson that I have learned: No matter how simple the job appears, do not let work begin without an estimate.  (And it was a simple job, not just in my own opinion, but also that of a city plumbing employee.  It is a mystery to me, even now, to understand why the job took as long as it did.)  Had I requested an estimate up-front, they would have been much more likely to quote a fair price, and stuck to it, regardless of how long the job took.  Live and learn.

Thanks so much to Allen for providing such great products and installation of recent our bathroom and kitchen remodeling.  We love our new tubs, toilets and fixtures that he helped us pick out. He coordinated perfectly with our tile guys to give us timely installation of all the products.  You are these best plumber we have ever had.

Last hard freeze cracked the outside faucet pipe. Steve came out the next day and replaced the faucet/pipe in an hour. Price and service were outstanding.

I knew this to be a reputable company that was recommended by several friends from church. I reached out to the owner, Ken Leffler, about issues with my water heater because it was running out of hot water before the bathtub even got full. He asked when it was convenient for me to have his guys come take a look and was able to fit me in within 48 hours. Luke and Jared were courteous, knowledgeable, and very diligent in their work. They replaced an element inside the water heater and left everything neat and tidy. Very happy with this company and highly recommend!

This is your proper choice! Alex is as extraordinarily great as the reviews delineate here. He is conscientious, effective, thorough, inexpensive and personable. He answers his phone and gets to destinations when he says he will. Bravo to this company, and this man, for doing things right!

One of our outside faucets started leaking yesterday. Is there some universal rule that says this nearly always happens on a Friday afternoon or on a holiday weekend?  Called Nikki (who always answers calls promptly) & got an appointment for this morning. Nikki & Jordan arrived earlier than expected & resolved the issue quickly & professionally. Very helpful to walk us through what caused problem & how to prevent further issues as well.  Incredible customer service & expertise! Nikki's will be my go to company for all our plumbing needs in the future. Highly recommend!

Great local family of plumbers. I have multiple properties and these guys keep things going for me. Good, honest, old school service.

Had a garbage disposal clog, first person I called immediately tried to sell me on replacing the disposal. Called Eric here at Citiview and he came out next day to look at it and unclogged it effectively and professionally all without trying to upsell me. Explained to me the little tricks I can do to keep it clean and healthy as well! 100% recommend.

JR's plumbing is awesome!  Super responsive and very professional.  Great prices too.  Used Dexter to install a water heater. He was efficient, careful and knowledgeable.  He even came on a Saturday night without an extra charge.   Used JR's  again for a remodel and Dexter and Joe did the job.  Was just as happy with their work.  Definitely the best plumbers around!

Called Mike at 10:00 and he was at my house w/ in an hour.  He and Chris were prompt and courteous and had the job finished quickly.  I would definitely recommend Duncan plumbing!!

We have used Rick's on several occasions and have NEVER had a bad experience.  They called 30 minutes ahead of when they were to come, they arrived on time, they were neat and professional, and the jobs were always done correctly, with the promise that if the job had a problem within 30 days, no extra charge.  The senior discount helps tremendously. I will, and do, recommend them in a heartbeat.

I cannot speak higher of AM plumbing they saved me!!!  Had a stopped up kitchen sink James fixed it for less than $200.00. Another company quoted me $3800.00.

Had a simple problem with the toilet.  Accidentally dropped a casing of a pen in the toilet which caused the septic tank not to fill.  I called him and told him all it needed was a closet auger, or a snake to correct the problem.  He said he'd be happy to take care of it.  I asked him how much?  He said $92.  So he did come like he said he would, pretty prompt, within 2 hours, took him about 40 mins to complete.  Then i get a phone call (being at work) and my wife tells me he is charging $142.  I asked to speak to him on the phone, and said why its went from $92 to $142.  He says he had to change a flapper.  Ok - I'm at work and $50 is not going to make me poor so I told my wife to just pay.  But honestly, Tom's Plumbing is crooked.  There are plenty of other places who charge $80-100 per hour, so I would stay away because his intentions to cheat the customer speaks volumes.

Based on The fact that their drivers drive like they are drunk.  I would have a hard time letting an individual who drives down the road recklessly endangering individuals into my home to fix a plumbing problem.
