Five Star Electrical & Plumbing is a family-owned operation of Tony, a general electrical and plumbing handyman. When we moved to Charlotte and discovered that our new home had several undisclosed issues, Tony helped us identify the problems and get the house in better shape. We hired him initially for some electrical issues but he ended up fixing some plumbing and AC issues as well. He is more responsive to customers than a bigger company and his pricing is fair. I would recommend giving him a call for general fix up needs for your home.

Absolutely outstanding, from start to finish. Great office scheduled my appointment quickly, and the electrician they sent was both friendly and a consummate professional. Price was reasonable, and work completed efficiently but no rush. The experience was so ideal, I have moved several home projects that involve electric up the priority list, because I know I have these guys as a resource for the jobs. My absolute highest recommendation!

I'm currently doing some minor renovations to my townhouse to include painting an replacing old worn out light fixtures. I can replace circuit breakers, light switches and receptacles but don't like dealing with wiring new fixtures in because of the involvement with different wiring configurations such as 3way, 4way, etc.    I did a quick search online last Thursday, July 22, 2021 and ran across Shawn's profile and past jobs and was impressed. I communicated with Shawn and he responded back quickly. He came the next day and on time as we agreed. He was very knowledgeable as I'm in the construction industry and I have worked with many tradesmen. He installed a ceiling fan and light fixture for my dinning/living room space. My wife and I are very, very, very satisfied with his work. I will be using Shawn for my upstairs project if he likes and any other referrals I pass along to him.

Livewire was quick to communicate and provided a fair quote, including recommending not making one of the changes that I inquired about as it may not be necessary.  Installed a new dedicated 220 for a vehicle charger and everything has worked great.

Jesse and Terry did a great job installing two outlets in the garage ceiling and hooking up my air compressor to 230V power. Will use again!

Bill did an amazing job!! Loved how he showed up early and was very polite and professional at all times. He was extremely thorough even though he was only doing a free estimate for a few issues we had. Afterwards, we decided to hire him on the spot because he was so thorough and professional. He completed all jobs very quickly with great quality and also gave us some tips on a few other future projects we have. Thanks and keep up the great work!!! We will definitely recommend him to the many.

Chad was great! It's so hard to find people who know what they're doing and who actually communicate. Chad was in touch regularly about our job. He showed up on time. Did excellent work. And was just generally a pleasure. There is a good reason he has Professional in the name of his business.

I do not recommend this business. They tried to inflate my bill by recommending an expensive solution for a routine repair. They told me a replacement part I needed was totally impossible to find and the best fix would be a much more involved workaround, but I was able to find the part myself without too much trouble and someone else handled the repair for a fraction of the cost. I can't tell if they were unethical or just incompetent, I just know I would never trust these people to do anything.

I am changing my previous review of Roby Electric. I caught them last year during a transition and I believe there was some miscommunication. Based on their response to my earlier review and not having great luck finding a reliable electrician, when we had another issue I decided to give them another try.  I talked to Sandy who was wonderful and very professional. The two technicians who showed up were courteous and forgave my faux pas (I was late!) and very helpful. This was for our business but we are also buying a new home and I plan to use Roby Electric for our needs in the future.

EM Electric provides the most straightforward and honest estimates. Evan is the most hard working and knowledgeable electrician I have met. He is a great listener and troubleshooter. He will not rest until work is done to satisfaction. Rates are very reasonable and results are outstanding!

I had an issue with a property I have under contract to sell. Ryan came out quickly and diagnosed the problem and repaired it in under an hour. Couldn't be happier! This is the best experience I've had with an electrician, and he was very reasonable on price. I definitely suggest him and will use him again.

Roman is such a nice guy! He came exactly when he said on a Saturday evening. The business is called Asap and he lives by it. My wife asked him if I needed you at 2:00am would you come ? He said if it was an emergency, sure.  I called him about 7:30pm, he was here and done by 8:45!! Small job, but it needed an electrician. Quick clean professional work! Use this man!

Y'all, if I could give Josh from Blue Collar 10 stars, I would! We had an electrical issue on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I just went down the line on Yelp and called 15 different electricians... Josh responded quickly, and was over at my house within a couple hours. Quickly got to the bottom of the issue, which was with power IN to the house, helped me call Duke Energy to explain the problem and make sure they dispatched a lineman, and followed up several times over the afternoon and evening to make sure we were okay and all squared away. And even though he could have gouged me on a holiday, he charged me a more than reasonable rate while providing great service. I would absolutely recommend them for all your electrical and HVAC needs (he is licensed for both)!!

Luis was unable to concentrate during his estimate appointment and had difficulty writing on his notepad. I felt uneasy with his presence. When I told him we will just conclude our appointment at that time, he described how I would be lucky to have had him as an electrician anyway. Very peculiar behavior exhibited during our encounter.
If not for 'honesty' then what's the point of Yelp?

I had a tricky electrical job that I wasn't confident in doing myself (and just plain didn't want to crawl around under my house). Chris came out on a Saturday, reviewed my situation, and gave me an estimate. He scheduled a crew to come out to do the work on the next Saturday. They did the work just fine and were a courteous crew. Chris got the work scheduled pretty quickly and the job was done as we agreed, so no complaints on my side. I would definitely use him again.

This review is for the company, not the technician.  Travis was awesome and very professional.  We had our downstairs unit go out so I called Michael and Sons to come out to check it.  Travis arrived on time and called before coming.  Travis went about his business careful to wear shoe covers when entering the house.  He found the problem and explained what was wrong and his recommendation to fix.  I had a couple of capacitors that needed replaced one of my outside units fan motor needed replaced.  Mind you have no clue about HVAC or the price of the parts.  Travis worked up the quote and came back with $1300!!  I was a little shocked but told him to do what he had to do.  He did not have the motor on the truck and had to go to Lennox to pick it up.  During his time away I researched to cost of the parts.  I was shocked to see that the price of all the parts was less that $200!  I understand markup and overhead, but this was excessive to me!  When Travis returned I explained my dismay and he was very professional about it.  I told him I did not want him to do the work until I got a second opinion.  I paid him his diagnostic fee and called another company to come out.  I felt a little bad because Travis was a good guy, but I could not see paying his companies price for this service.  If a companies overhead is so high they have to markup the parts to these extremes, then someone needs to come in and clean up the waste.

My door shifted due to house settlement making my door unable to open or close properly. I messaged him and he replied very quickly, was able to come next day to give a quote. He diagnosed the problem and explained all the options carefully for me. He was able to complete the job same day for a reasonable price. Door swings better than before. He made sure to leave his work tidy as I had it before. Also very friendly. Will use him again for future repairs.

Don't do business with this company. Once a defective light was installed for $225. They refused to take it down for less than $185. Puts my cost at over $1000 for the light and installation. Do not use this company under any circumstances. If I could give 0 stars I would.  No sir the light was not working well when your technicians were there, and when I needed it taken down you refused to do anything but charge me an additional $185 to have it removed. No offer from you other than full price. No worries though I tripped the breakers and took it down by myself in 5-10 minutes. It was really hard. I can understand the $185 price tag when an unskilled person such as myself can do it in 5-10 minutes. Thank you so much and I will assure no one I know and do business will ever use your service. Your a real gem. Good job.
