Best Plumbing Services in Minneapolis, MN
Called on Sunday evening to leave a message regarding main sewer line blockage. Received a call back about two minutes later (which I totally did not expect on a Sunday night!) and scheduled appointment for Monday. Gary came out and cleaned out the line, explained the cause of the problem (tree roots), and what needed to be done in the future. He was very personable and easy to talk to. The price was extremely fair; less than I expected. Thank you for your timely and friendly service, and thank you for an excellent job! We will absolutely be calling you again!

Dauwalter plumbing was wonderful, timely and very reasonably priced. Our little plugged our toilet with an ice fishing headlamp and was unreachable for us. The toilet was nearly overflowing (which would have caused catastrophic problems) and he was able to send someone that day. They not only fixed our toilet but they fixed our bath tub and our dish washer/disposal. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the technician and they overall experience.

Just got our fall furnace tune up for $39. Watch their ads for sale prices. They have done many projects for us with great results and reasonable prices. All the technicians we have worked with have been excellent but Rick is always the best.

Twin City Pipeworks has been our regular plumber for five or six years on our 115 year old house. Dave has replaced the water heater, fixed valves, fixed leaks, and addressed a low water pressure in the upstairs bathroom. His prices are similar to other plumbers, he always shows up on time, and is super friendly and willing to answer all kinds of questions. He has helped us save money by finding an old part for our leaking shower faucet, preventing us from having to get a whole new faucet/shower system (which would have involved removing the shower insert). The online scheduling is easy and so convenient.

If you live in The Twin Cities and need a plumber, these guys are great. They don't do weekends and emergencies, but they are family owned, they are kind, and they work hard to solve problems. We bought a 20 year old home. I met one of the plumbers as he came to bid on our kitchen remodel. He plumbed the house originally. I saw the company sticker on our hot water heater and gave them a call. They replaced our sump pump and added a generator, not any more than what we needed. We had a leak in our tub and the owner's son was down the street and came over, took care of it. Then we had some mystery water sound that two of their folks came to figure out. They have been really there for us, fairly priced and kind. They don't open clogged drains, but for everything else, I would give them a call. (Just not on the weekend!)

Legend Services installed a new Day & Night brand furnace in our home today. Their service was thoroughly knowledgeable and professional from initial visit to assess the situation, to their estimate, and the actual installation. They arrived on time, completed the work very neatly in just a few hours, and cleaned up spotlessly when they were done. I would highly recommend this company for heating, A/C and plumbing work. Truly one of the most professional service providers with whom I've worked in the 29 years that I've owned the home. Thanks for an excellent job!

Contacted ACI after seeing a truck parked on my street. After a couple different bids ACI was most fair and consistent to what I was expecting. They did a lot of work in my remodeled kitchen and couldn't have been happier with Dave who did all the work. Friendly, fast and overall would recommend and use again in the future.

Fast and Efficient! I had a water heater go out. He was their in a flash. Replaced the old one. I was pleasantly surprised with low low cost, especially since it was a Saturday.

I contacted Gene's Water & Sewer to obtain a bid to repair cracks in our sewer lateral which were revealed during a sewer line scope. Craig returned my inquiry in less than a day, and returned an estimate to me within an hour of our discussion. Because of the large scope of our repair needs and high cost, Craig walked me through another option for repairing our line - work that could be performed only by a competitor company. He provided over 30 minutes of thorough and helpful guidance, including explaining an alternative solution that could only be performed by his competitor. Gene's is clearly exemplary in its professionalism, knowledge and customer service. Hire Gene's!

My husband and I have used Hopke Sewer & Drain twice and both times were very impressed. The first time was in 2011 after we discovered we needed to replace our sewer system from the house to the street. The broken sewer line was a nightmare but Hopke took care of it quickly, they were on time, professional and answered all of our questions. Due to some legal issues with our sewer problem (city problem vs. homeowner problem), we fought city hall and won thanks to the detailed and conscientious report written by Hopke upon request.
The second time we used them was just this week to repair what we thought was going to be a big issue but instead, thanks to the knowledge of Hopke, we found out it was a minor fix that wouldn't lead to further damage.
On the other review the customer complained that their minimum fee was too high for small parts and minimal work. When you call a plumber/electrician/etc., you are paying for their knowledge, experience and ability in fixing your home. When someone knows a trade, they usually know something that you don't and they should be able to charge fairly for that. I definitely shopped around and found Hopke to be priced very well.

We had a clogged bathtub shower drain. I was a little annoyed that I couldn't get an approximate estimate over the phone since this seems like a pretty easy and common problem, but that seems to be pretty common practice when it comes to plumbers I called. At least there wasn't a charge to simply come out and provide an estimate like some places. We had a 4:30-8:30pm window which was nice so I didn't have to take off of work, and they called at around 7:00 to say he was behind but on the way, and he did show up pretty much right at 8:30. Darrell #3953 was very pleasant, respectful of our home by wearing booties, completely cleaned up any mess created, answered my few questions, and was extremely quick. Only took him about 10-15 minutes to complete the job. While I appreciate all of that- $289 seemed rather expensive for a 10-15 minute job to simply unclog a shower drain. (I did find the $50 coupon online so that helped) At least a ballpark figure over the phone could have prepared me for that cost and helped to aid in my decision before making him come out. Satisfied with the work and happy with the plumber, just a little sour about the cost.

We had a negative experience as Ken does not stand behind the work of his subcontractors. He was disrespectful to me.
We had a clogged toilet in the basement and listened to the advice of the first subcontractor who said that the toilet had to be replaced. He had said that he would snake the line when switching toilets. He didn't. At this point I had paid $450 plus buying a toilet at Home Depot myself for $90. A week after the new toilet was installed, the washing machine water began to flow out of it. The hall carpet and pad were ruined. Ken sent a new plumber who said he would have to charge the full amount to snake. After haggling with Ken who didn't want to accept responsibility for the wrong initial diagnosis and subsequent damage, I had to pay $75 to have it snaked. The new plumbers said that there was something, possible a backflow flap, lodged in the pipe, and partially blocking. They said that although the wash water would flow that we couldn't use the toilet and that they needed to break up the concrete floor and remove it at an estimate of $1800. I agreed.
Then Ken called me that evening to schedule and was so rude to me. He quizzed me about what I was agreeing to and what I had been told and seen. He acted as if I were the one who hadn't acted professionally or followed through. I was appalled that someone could speak in such a manner to me. I told him that I would find another plumber. Thank heavens I did! Grabow came out the next day and was wonderful. Mike, the owner of the company, heard the situation and said that he thought that they could probably pull out the object - never offered by Ken. The nicest drain cleaner came with his camera and looked at the pipe. There was nothing there as it had apparently been pushed out by the wash water. The plumber looked as well. They said that even had there been something partially blocking that it would not have needed to be removed. So I paid a final $200 to Grabow. I still have to replace the carpet.
I probably didn't need the toilet replaced at all. The clogged toilet should have been around $200 for a snaked line. Instead, I am out $800 and still need to get a new carpet.

Where to begin, Overall punctual, quick service, knowledgeable, Knew what exactly had to be done before starting the work, giving fair estimates, overall great prices for all the repairs needed to a well water system and house plumbing that had not been maintained in over 30 years. Work was done so quick and efficiently, that at times it seemed like there were 3 plumbers at work instead of one. Left absolutely no mess, and thoroughly explained what work was completed and showed the amazing results. I personally would highly recommend their services to anyone, without fear of the historical rumors of prices that one would expect from a plumber.

Called mid-morning Monday with main drain clog. Bob called back and arranged to stop over by noon on the same Monday. Third time I have used Bob's services over the last several years. Quality work at a very reasonable price. I have passed Bob's name on to several neighbors and we all agree he great at what he does.
Thanks Bob.
Thanks Bob.

We have used Air mechanical for 22 years and come to trust them and their experts. Their tech was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He always showed us while he explained what was wrong and suggestions for options. The sale person was very nice and gave us many options. Both of the employees were prompt and very ethical. It was nice to get calls to let us know when the people would be here. Highly recommend this company!

Very good and honest. Issues with customer service. He waited until I texted to find out why he wasn't here on time, then told me he was on an emergency job. Ended up 1.5hrs late. He did not over charge. Even explained why he couldn't do the secondary job.

I was so very impressed by Americans were they came out very quickly and assessed our problem and no upfront fee just for assessing that is a huge deal! They are very friendly prompt courteous professional and they also threw in a replacement P-trap on top of taking out two of our lines and we're fast and efficient I can't speak more highly of them. Their service and fees far outweigh any of the competition in fact, I don't believe the others are competition for these people. Great, small, family run business! I highly recommend and would use them again in a heartbeat!!!

I had my furnace replaced several months ago, under Home Warranty, by All Climate Mechanical, and I have to say, I was not happy with the result. The only redeeming quality was that the two kids who came to install it were fairly nice, and seemed to care.
On the down side, they installed the furnace without replacing any of the out-of-code parts attached to it (illegal), didn't have it inspected afterward, and left me with several code violations and a potentially dangerous in-line vent contraption that every mechanical contractor since then has told me I need to get rid of, and they should not have left. On top of that, they couldn't figure out how to get it hooked back up to my Ecobee Thermostat, and while they were trying to get it figured out, the office called and told me they had to leave because they had another job to get to... so I was left to figure out how to get my furnace back on by myself. Also they used foil tape for pretty much everything, which seemed a little shoddy (some of it came off a couple weeks later).
Fortunately, most of this was paid for by the home warranty, but it's not what I'd call 5-star service.
Incidentally, the bill also didn't make a lot of sense:
Total - $860.00
HO pay - $325.00
CCHW to pay - $760.00
...Maybe that extra $225 was supposed to be for the inspection? ;)
