Best Plumbing Services in Detroit, MI

Main Drain Service Plumbing Service
I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

Quint Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Left multiple voicemails and emails yet I never received a response. Not sure what it takes to get a phone call

Nelson Brothers Plumbing Service
Ive had Nelson Brothers to my home a few times.  Replaced a garbage disposal, unclogged a basement drain, and replaced a pipe.  Compared to other plumbers they are reasonable, know what they are doing without having to make a bunch of phone calls, and once they get to your home do the job quick without a lot of chitchat which i like.  Only downfall is the window of time for appointments .... too long. You will waste your whole day waiting.  But compared to some of the other plumbers I've used its worth the wait

Dearborn Heights Plumbing Plumbing Service
I have used these guys for over 7 years in my fixer upper. They are always professional, on-time, HONEST and stand by their work. While they aren't cheap, their professional knowledge and workmanship is always worth the price. When they fix something it stays fixed! This is an American family business that contributes to our home value and our local economy instead of some chain with no real connection to Dearborn or Dearborn Heights. Call them and they will do great work at your house or business!

Allied Plumbing and Sewer Plumbing Service
Steve was very responsive through Yelp and was able to immediately give me good quote. Once hired, he came and did a great job replacing our outdoor water spigot. He was great to work with and I'd definitely recommend him.

I wouldn't trust this guy to install a garden hose! And this is an employee stand point!  Fired cause I pay my child support.. and I supposedly gave friend of the court his name..  but anyone knows that's automatic..     dudes got something to hide...     not trustworthy!! Not to mention he doesn't like to pay! Went a month with no check and he told me he doesn't owe anyone anything! ..    don't understand how he is in business!

Dixie Plumbing and Sewer Service Plumbing Service
We are new to the area and wanted to keep it local. Dixie plumbing had great response time and was on time less than 24 hours later. Wore a mask, was professional and had everything fixed in a matter of less than 15 minutes. Pricing was reasonable and I will call them again should I have any other issues.

Burton HVAC Services Plumbing Service
It saddens me to be giving this company a 2-star rating.  This was my experience.

I needed an electrician to remove a wall fan, venting my kitchen to the outside.  I yelped an electrician, and got 5 added quotes from Yelp.  Darin, the owner of Burton HVAC, was the very first response, and he gave me a low-ball quote of $85 fixed rate.

Well, they weren't rated on yelp, and had zero reviews.  Their page said they had been in business for 19 years, and had electricians on staff, among others, so I decided to try googling the company to see if I could find anything else out about them.  They had 5 5-star ratings on google.  This being said, I assumed they were trying to increase their presence on yelp, by taking a loss on a few projects in order to get some 5-star reviews here.  So, I decided to give them a try.

I called the number given in Darin's response, only to be met with Hello.  It took me aback, and I had to ask twice if I was reaching Burton HVAC.  I was, and Darin said he could come straight over!  Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday or Thursday when I called, and I told him I would not be available until the following week.  He could choose his date and time to visit, but it couldn't be Monday.  Darin told me Tuesday at 1pm would work for him, so I put his visit on my calendar.  He also asked me to text him my name, address, and the time and date of the appointment so he could add it to his calendar later.

On Monday, I received an invoice via text for the services he was going to provide.  I've never been billed before meeting the service provider before.  And on Tuesday at 11:47am, I received a text message saying that my appointment at 1pm was 'coming up'.

At 1pm, my son took our dog and left the house for an hour trying to get him out of the way during the service call.  No one had arrived at that point.  At 2pm, my son came home from lunch with our dog, and was surprised to see the fan still in the wall.  I had not received a phone call or any communication from Burton HVAC at this point.

I texted Darin and said Weren't you supposed to be at my house at 1pm today?  His response was Yes I was sending a technician your way and he should have been there at 1:00, let me see what's going on.

Darin called me 10 minutes later to tell me his technician was working on a job that was running over, and he still needed to do another job after that before he could see me!  He then stated that he would just come over himself to do the work.  I said that would be fine, and then he told me that it would be another 2 to 4 hours before he could make it to my house.  I clarified with him that it meant he would be arriving at my house sometime between 4pm and 6pm.  Darin then asked if I would like to be kept in the loop, and I told him Yes!  Please let me know what is going on.

Well, 4pm came and went, 5pm came and went, and 6pm came and went, and STILL no contact from Darin or anyone at Burton HVAC.

At 6:24pm Darin texted.  It read Okay if it's not too late I'll be heading your way.  That will put me there at about 7:30

My husband was home, and was definitely not happy with the way things were going, but at that point I just wanted the work done.  I was not confident that the guy would be able to be on time on any other day, and I didn't want to waste another 7 or 8 hours waiting again, so I told him We'll be here.  And he responded with On my way!

Well, as you can guess, 7:30pm came and went without word from Darin.  At 8:04pm, Darin texted I'm about 5 minutes away.  He arrived by about 8:15pm... for a 1pm appointment.

Darin and his co-worker were very nice.  They were obviously having a long day, but still trying to do the best job they could.  I realized after they arrived that (I'm 99.9% sure) neither one of them were electricians.

They worked really hard to remove the fan from the wall of my house.  It was in there good.  Then, they just cut and capped the live electrical wires and dropped them in the wall of my house!  An electrician would have known that doing that is a violation of building codes.  My husband knew it, but at the time, I did not.

Anyway, the two gentlemen both worked hard while at my house.  The fan is removed.  They even put a towel in the hole and taped a bag over the opening to keep bugs, etc. out until we can have the gap sealed properly.

After they left, I returned a microwave cart to the area below the fan, and plugged it into the electrical receptacle there.  After their visit, there is now no power to that receptacle.  We now need to have another electrician come out to properly remove the electrical wires in the wall and fix the outlet for our microwave.

I feel Darin bit off more than he could chew with my job.  He needed to send an electrician & if one wasn't available, he should have rescheduled.  Or perhaps he should have never quoted my job in the first place.

Thornton & Grooms Plumbing Service
Scheduled an appointment to have a rough-in shower valve installed. They scheduled Tuesday and followed-up with a text message(twice) to confirm stating they would call 30 minutes before the plumber arrived. When they call, they tell me they have an emergency and won't be there until FRIDAY. Not sure what kind of emergency lasts for 3 days, but I explained I have tile guys coming on Wednesday and other sub-contractors right behind them. Oh well, Friday was the best they could do. Fortunately, I found another plumber to come right away and do the job in less than an hour. He'll be my plumber for all my companies bath and kitchen remodels going forward. A word of advise if you consider hiring this company - Read the negative reviews because I feel they are ACTUAL reviews.

DJ Murray Plumbing Plumbing Service
Champs of all plumbing service companies in Oakland County!  I went through a few services, either they charged me for telling me nothing, charged me and said it was fixed, or gave me a referral to a guy who complains and whines and doesn't want the job...Oh Boy!  Brief overview of my chaos...April showers, 4-5 standing water in an old 1920's basement without any drainage, crapped out hot water heater, & raw sewage in my basement sink.  Basically, NO DRAINAGE out of the house.  Their receptionist is a gem - she was very pleasant and knows exactly how to convey a nightmare message and delegate a work order.  She called me back within 1/2 hr to let me know the Guys were on their way.  Before 2 hours, I had a full report of what was going on, why, what had to be done, and a proposal to sort the problem.  Guess what?  Sewer collapsed at the main and no storm drainage from the house...Everyone want to hear that news right?!!  My stomach sank thinking I might have sell organs to pay for this (just kidding) but it was craptacular though.  Anyways, they had a full crew, backhoe and the big equipment truck the next morning prepared to fully dig and repair.  it was a crappy job, but they were full of silly humor (it keeps them going) and carried on with a very professional repair job - completely replaced the sewer line from the house to the city main line and along the dig path, they ran into my storm drain, that apparently wasn't draining. They cleaned it up and connected a cleanout in the middle of the yard, leaving an easy access to maintain both the sewer and the storm lines.  Pumped water out of the basement and replaced my hot water heater (also repaired a few minor jobs along with it).  Now of course we are all thinking OMG this is easily over $10k NOPE...it was under $8k total.  No small change, but less than I had expected for what had to be done.  At the end, 3 further days of rain and I've not had a drop of water in my basement and ALL drain pipes drain properly to the ewwey gooey far away yuck place, that it's supposed to go!  I am grateful this was taken care of and confident that it was handled professionally!  I will use this company for all of my future plumbing issues:)  Thanks Guys!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Al's Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
He is a better lawyer than plumber.  I know this because after he flooded my house he threatened to sue me when I wouldn't pay his bill.  His insurance covered about half the damage costing me thousands and his bill was a few hundred.  Then he liened my house and left me powerless.  Also, he operates under a couple of names and locations so he is impossible to track down.  His name isn't Al by the way.

Emergency Plumbing Plumbing Service
The shut-off for my outside tap was leaking in my basement, so I contacted them via their website. Someone called right away and said they would have someone contact me the next day, but I didn't hear back. I waited a week and went with another company. I contacted them in the first place because someone from their company lives at the end of my street (there are always a couple company trucks parked there), so I thought I would give the neighbours some business. Not sure what happened. If the job was too small, I wish they would have told me from the start.

Versatile Handz Home Improvement Plumbing Service
They should not be billing themselves as any type of handyman service or contractor. Their work is unprofessional and substandard. They left the job site and absolute mess, our entire house covered in dust, with wet mud still dripping from corners and ceilings, and having sanded through their own mudding to drywall tape. They should be ashamed to even suggest that they know how to do drywall or mudding.
