Best Plumbing Services in Detroit, MI
Short review: outstanding service at a fair price. Very quick to respond with service visits and to respond to questions and price quotes. Longer review: I have used them for a number of of issues while I've been renovation my bathroom, installing a new hot water tank and a substantial drain issue and each task was done quickly, professionally and every person I dealt with was a delight. They will get all my business in the future (I have a second bathroom but that's next year) and I strongly recommend Josh and his folks.

The good: They are good at getting to the house in a timely fashion and they are very punctual.
The bad: They are EXTREMELY expensive. They charge $120/hour PLUS a $70 trip fee, which is outrageous. They also don't expect to get the job done in one trip because they may need parts. That is understandable.
I had 3 things that needed to be done: a kitchen drawer was stuck needed to be put back on its tracks, a dripping handle in the tub needed to fixed and the stopper needed to be fixed as well, and a plunger needed to be put back in the sink.
The sink turned into a debacle because one sink was installed on top of the other -- a fact unknown to me until Stephan tried to fix it. When he was spending too long on this job, I told him it was not that big a deal, but he'd gotten to a point of no return (the sink was leaking) and he actually had to call in his boss to help. They spent several hours on this just to get it back to where they started. Fortunately, they said they did not charge me for the time spent on this part of the project.
Stephan took care of the kitchen drawer in about 15 minutes. He was able to get it out, straighten the rail and put it back in. But, the drawer still makes a scraping noise.
The bathroom handles did, indeed need cartridges. When I sent the video and picture before booking the appointment, the office manager, Cindy, told me that it would probably need a cartridge.
I'm not sure how long Stephan spent with the faucet and stopper, as I'd long lost track by then. But when he left, hot water was pouring from the faucet, even after I turned off the handle in the adjoining closet. The water filled up numerous buckets. After 3 days, I was finally able to get it to stop pouring by using a needle-nosed pliers and leaving it attached to the screw.
When Stephan came back with the parts, he was there for maybe a half hour. I was charged $347.95 for this job: 2 hours of labor + one trip fee. The parts were $37.95. I found this OUTRAGEOUS, as it is nearly 10 times the price of the part. I do appreciate that they didn't charge for 2 trip charges or the time that he spent on the sink, but, given that they knew from the outset what the likely problem was, I find it unconscionable to charge so much. Further, it was $100 more than what they estimated. And adding insult to injury, so to speak, there was dirt in the tub and dirty footprints on my rug!
While I found Stephan pleasant and the company convenient, the next time I need odd jobs done, I will go with someone who is independent and doesn't charge and arm and a leg.

Joe and Cam were great!! They fixed our leak and put in a new faucet plus gave us an estimate on some other work we needed. Husband felt very confident with them. They wore masks and cleaned up. It's great to know we have an excellent plumbing shop that we can call when we need it.

I talked to Sean about some rattling pipes in my bathroom. He responded quickly and had a crew out there within 2 days. They diagnosed the problem as air hammer in the pipes and installed 4 air relief valves. Unfortunately this didn't fix the problem entirely and the water inlet line to the toilet was left disconnected. I called Sean back and he came to the house on a Saturday morning to make sure everything was done correctly. They wrapped up quickly and everything has worked great since.
No one is happy having to call someone out for a problem, but Sean is easy to contact and responds quickly to his customers.

I can't be happier hiring Dave. We have had really bad luck with plumbers. This guy was super friendly and professional. His quote was extremely reasonable for the work he did. I got the feeling he did exactly what he would do for his own house or his family's house. I can't say that about too many contractors.
He inspected and cleaned up after the job and made sure we were happy before he left.
Do yourself a favor for 2019 and hire Dave for your next plumbing mess.

Shiloh was incredibly helpful in getting our project completed. He was friendly and did a great job to get our plaster torn out and replaced with drywall to prep for new backsplash!

Tony was wonderful: super knowledgeable, nice, not expensive, great. Our basement flooded and he fixed both our water heaters (we live in a two flat) and then gave us advice about how to dry out the washer and drier on our own. Really understands the quirks of old Detroit houses! Highly recommend!

Oak Heating Cooling and Plumbing is awesome. My furnace went out just as it was starting to get chilly this fall. I called and had several quotes from Chris within 24 hours. I picked a price and I was scheduled within 24 hours. Andy and a team of guys came over and my furnace was installed in just a few hours. It's working great and I love the work they did. I use Oak for everything around my condo - A/C, plumbing, heat, etc... wouldn't go anywhere else.

Unresponsive! Reached out May 17th for quote on plumbing job, business asked me to submit pictures electronically for quote. Submitted same day, follow up May 20, was told boss didn't look yet. Today is May 25, no responses. Clearly they don't need the work or choose to respond. I would assume they may not show up for jobs if they take this long to respond to work quotes.
