I sent a request through yelp to get my self purchased Level2 EV charger installed at home. Carlos reached out and was able to come by my home quickly within my request for an estimate. Around this time the Bay area was having intense storms, and he was willing to work quickly with me since I was anxious to get my charger installed.  Anyone who has a drip charger at home with an EV knows why!

I really appreciated his patience with my questions in lieu of circumstances that he and his company had to deal with during the storm. Once the permit was obtained, he offered to come out ASAP for the job. His team worked quickly, everything was clean looking and they were professional.

He even made sure to follow up with me to make sure my charger amperage was at the desired level, and made an in person follow up to be sure of it. I couldn't have asked for more.

I did not have a comparable quote from another company, but I feel like the cost for the job was reasonable. My garage didn't have the main breaker nearby, OR the outlet to support the charger. So more  material than your average charger install I'm sure was needed. My city also had a lot to request for the permit, and certain criteria that I wasnt expecting, but they handled it no problem.

This was my first experience, and it was great. I hope to have another one like this with them in the future because I will be reaching out for future projects. Thanks!

100% Awesome. Gandara's did circuit breakers, ran line, outlets, switches, recessed lighting and drywall for me. Everything looks sharp and works great. It's a family business and working with all the Gandaras has been a pleasure. I felt like they listened to me as a customer and took time to answer my questions in ways that I could understand. Carlos Jr created multiple estimates based on my changing plans quickly and with no problems. They always showed up on schedule. I think that they're a professionals who are also easy to talk and work with--something that I  appreciate. I look forward to hiring them again for other projects.

We just finished having a kitchen remodeled by Carlos and his fantastic team!!! They removed a wall, a door, put in our new kitchen cabinets, and a new backsplash, and a new countertop! It came out better than we expected. Carlos knows his stuff and his whole entire team are nice people I feel they are like family. We wouldn't trust anyone else to do any work around our house. He's trustworthy, honest, and finishes the work right to the last detail. We are having some small jobs jobs done and he's our guy!!

I went to Yelp to get a licensed electrician, and found Gandara's.  They were the most responsive, and gave the most competitive price.  So, along with that and their tip-top 5.0 star reviews, I chose them.  Plus, along with their estimate they provided their available schedule day by day, and I really loved that.  I booked.

Carlos Jr showed up on-time, and with shoe covers as I requested.  He was super fast, pro, and even tried to explain what the fix was to me...as I was very interested!  He was also very nice, and I liked his gentle spirit!  Speedy, too!

I'll use Gandara again, in fact, I plan to get some estimates for some other projects I have.

After getting estimates from 3 other contractors, we decided to go with Carlos and team / family to remodel 2 bathrooms for us.  Practical reasons being:

- They gave most competitive and reasonable price.  Enabled us to squeeze in 2nd bathroom remodel
- Overall tangible experience (plumbing, carpentry, tiling, etc.)
- Able to resolve unexpected issues on the fly
- Accommodated changes we requested in middle of construction

However I would say their greatest asset is that their simply just good and honest people.  It was pleasure to see them each day and ultimately, sad to see them go.  Frankly, I don't think we'll be going with anyone else for any future home related projects.  Thank you to Carlos and team / family!

Carlos and his crew are very professional, reliable and value for cost. Used him for 240 V EV installation job along with drawing two front and back wires for food lights. Him and crew were excellent consultants and kept me informed of the entire progress. Did an excellent weather proofing jobs for outside and cleaned up after themselves. Will rehire again for sure.

I cast a wide net looking for a team to help install an electric vehicle charger. I went back and forth with a few other companies but Gandara's was quick to respond, straight to the point with the pictures I provided and offered the best estimate. I was even able to schedule an installation appointment the following day. If you're looking for a team that gets things done fast and on time, hit Gandara's up!

We lost power to one of our room, we tried to fix it but didn't know what to look at so we decided to go with Gandara's Construction made an appointment called us with in the time slot took the info made their estimate price was reasonable and came the next day on time and fix the problem they are friendly and professional. Carlos, the owner confirmed an appointment to meet me at a client's property for consultation and to give me  a quote/estimate . No call, no show. I called him back  to see if he was on his way for our confirmed appointment . No response or callback to say he couldn't make the appointment or to reschedule the appointment.

I recently bought a townhouse and it needed electrical work. I posted the job here on yelp and got messages from several electricians. However, the other electricians were not responsive after the initial message.  I told Carlos that I needed 3 outlets to be replaced with GFCI outlets and I need two damaged outlets to be fixed. Carlos provided a quote and asked for my availability. I chose to proceed with Carlos and his team because of how instantaneous his responses were.

On the day of the appointment, the electrician (Bryan) was at the front door a few minutes early. Unfortunately, I was running late and he had to wait for me.

I showed Bryan all of the outlets and light switches that I wanted to replace. Bryan studied the electrical panel and the outlets near the sinks. After studying the outlets, Bryan told me that the outlets near the sinks are all GFCI protected and do not need replacement. The outlets looked like regular outlets so I was a bit confused. Byan explained to me how they are GFCI protected and even showed me which GFCI outlets were protecting those regular outlets. Since I was still confused, Bryan explained to me in detail how GFCI outlets work and how the electricity in my property is wired.  I was incredibly impressed by how knowledgeable he is and how honest he is.  Bryan told me that those regular outlets do not need replacements since they are protected and it is up to me if I would like him to replace them with actual GFCI outlets.  Bryan proceeded to work on the two damaged (burnt/disconnected) outlets. After fixing the damaged outlets, he proceeded to replace the broken light switches. Bryan was knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly efficient

When I put the call out for handyman help Carlos Jr. contacted me within minutes. I appreciated that. We set up a meeting with his dad the next week. When Carlos Sr. came to the house I told him what I wanted, he had some recommendations, he took his measurements, and gave them to Carlos Jr. and I got a quote. I agreed to the quote and we set a date for the project.

When Carlos Sr. came he had all his supplies and we added another idea on the fly. He went to get the supplies for it and completed the job. The girls love being out there in that space.

We have other jobs to get done in the house and I'm sure we'll use them again.

We had a siding leak that went into our kitchen and bathroom, they gave us the best quote, and was very responsive to any of my questions. We are very happy with the work and professionalism of the staff everyone was very nice and respectful they always spoke when they saw my husband myself or my children. We will definitely be hiring them for any future projects.

Gandara's construction impressed us all around with their work, professionalism, and pricing. Gandara's priced the job extremely fairly, were happy to add change orders at a reasonable price, and even identified fire hazards and safety concerns from previous work from prior homeowners on our home. We will DEFINITELY be contacting them with future work for our home projects.

Sent two guys over to replace a ceiling fan with a pendent light. They were fast and professional. Highly recommended.

Had a 220 V plug moved Gandara's was on time and on budget. Offered the price in an email and asked for a couple pictures.

We originally hired Carlos Jr. to replace some lighting in our kitchen after my wife saw a post of his work on Facebook. When he came over to do the job he brought his father along with him and we got to talking about how we wanted to remodel eventually. Carlos Sr. as it turns out had years of experience so we ended up hiring him and his crew to do our remodel and we couldn't be more pleased. They completely renovated our 1990's kitchen/master bathroom as well as laid down hardwood flooring downstairs. They also completely replaced the wood beneath the carpet in our master bedroom because the builders of the house didn't have it up to spec.

Dealing with them was an absolute delight. Great communication and had some great ideas for us when we would kinda get stuck in deciding what we wanted. A lot of it was on the fly and they were extremely patient. They spent hours in the store with my wife when she was trying to pick out flooring and went to Oakland to pick up all the stuff for our bathroom. We really appreciated the fact that it was always the same 4-5 guys at the house instead of seeing new faces every day. It got to a point that we trusted them so much we just gave them a key to the house.

As far as their work all I can say is we are 120% satsfied. They took so much time and care with everything. We had a little work done by somebody else and the craftsmanship looked amateurish compared to Carlos and the guys. I still remember when our new appliances got delivered and Carlos Sr. went over every single square inch of every item to ensure there were no scratches. The pride they take in their work is unmistakable.

I'd post some pics but a lot of our renovation  is already posted on this page. I will not hesitate in the future to hire them again. There is a certain level of comfort you can't put a price on knowing your project is in good hands with truly great people.

This family owned business was very responsive when I submitted the original request for work.  They were able to come out, provide a quote, and complete the job in a timely manner.  Clean up was done after each step and the finished project was exactly what I wanted.  See the before and after pictures.  Will use them for my next project.

Carlos and the Gandara Brother Home Repairs are AWESOME! When getting the estimate, they were flexible with MY schedule. Communication was on point, and the cost was affordable. We had 5 ceiling fans installed with the electrical ran to them as well - it was an ALL DAY JOB. They were on time, covered everything and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend to others, and I will likely contact them for more work in the future.

Carlos is one of the most professional electrician I ever met! I contacted him on a Sunday afternoon to come check on our power switch that had gone out and he came to my house within a couple hours! He did a great job installing a vent for the bathroom and fixed my broken tile. He also checked all my wall outlets and fixed all the ones that did not work. Caros was amazing. I recomend him and his family, thank you. He also made me feel like an important customer.

Carlos Jr. and his dad have done a great job repairing my kitchen sink and replacing the wood below it. They previously repaired a group of dead outlets behind a wall, so they are quite versatile. Good price, turnaround time, and customer service gets 5 stars from me. Professional and highly recommended.

Really fast response and great service. I called on a  Sunday afternoon with an electrical problem in a just purchased house, they came out the next morning and worked all morning to find the problem and fix it (needed new wiring and junction boxes etc), He even rewired a 3 way switch that didn't work correctly but wasn't even the reason I called, he was just that good! Very polite, thorough, and knowledgeable! I will definitely keep this number handy for electric or any other home repairs!

It was a father and son team. We had some problems at first which is normal but ended all well. I was very happy with the outcome. Mr Gandara was such a nice guy and he does everything for customers satisfaction.  Well deserved to give them 5 star rating.

I needed a new outlet (GFCI) in my bathroom. I posted the job on Yelp and I got a call from Carlos right away. We scheduled an onsite inspection for a quote the next day. I asked if he could wear a mask, he says, Of course. He and his assistant arrives the next day, I explain the job, and we agree on a price. He gets started working. In just about 30 minutes, he's done. I take a look: no chipped paint, square, neat, & tidy. Good work, would recommend.

Carlos is very professional and reliable. He was there when he said he would, and completed the job in a timely manner. We requested an electric panel changed, not only did he explain everything he was doing, he let us know in advance what needed to be done.
