After moving to a new house I realized that my dryer works with electrical hookup and my new house has a gas hookup for dryer I decided to get electrician to adjust the problem because my dryer was less than a year old and cost me a lot of $$$ , I called electric heroes explaining my problem and Matt came over the next morning and created an electrical hookup for my dryer with friendly and super professional service , highly recommended company! Matt is PHENOMENAL he arrived very early and a pro! We could have gotten it fixed by our home warranty company for free but they were a total mess so I decided to go with a Yelp recommended company. Electric heroes was the easiest to schedule, the most budget conscious, and honestly seemed the most knowledgeable on the phone. I also know how to fix a broken plugin/check a breaker myself but our issue was just too complex of a puzzle for me to fix myself.

Bonus points: he was super nice to my dog and helped fix a messed up screw!

Matt and crew Five Star recommended! Installed brand new electrical panel w/ a follow up warranty call in a couple days. Unfortunately, we needed a new wire (rats chewed it up) to our HVAC and he immediately got us on the books to run a new wire to the HVAC to accommodate my mother-in-law w/ AC. It was forecasted to be 100+ so he made time to fix our HVAC to keep my mother-in-law w/ health issues cool & comfortable during this heat wave.

We first had virtual meeting to estimate the price for installation of outlet for EV car charging, we asked the item changing, they respond to us immediately for the updated price. The cost is definitely reasonable compared to others, I would strongly recommend friends to check out Electric Heroes, the job was done nicely and the electrician are friendly and professional.
I didn't give 5 stars is because the electrician came late, our appointment is at 1:30pm, however, we waited till 4:00pm. We totally understand sometimes things might delay, but we'd appreciate to have phone call notice if it is running late. Overall, we are really happy for their job!

A critical outlet suddenly lost power, and I scrambled to find someone to fix the issue right away. Several places didn't have electricians available for 1-2 weeks. Electric Heroes initially didn't have someone immediately but when they found an available technician, the team was here within an hour. They did a through diagnostic, found the core issue, and fixed it right away. The household was back up and running! The total cost ended up being the same as the cost of the diagnostic. Heroes indeed!

Electric heroes charged me 1710$ for installing recess lighting in my living room at my home in Union City. The quality of work, fineness, attention to details, planning, execution are extremely far away from where one would expect from a professional electricians who charge such hefty amounts. Here are the problems they created with the installation.

1. They were totally confused on the planning part itself. They certainly don't seem to have clarity of thought and rather expecting the owner to navigate the thought & planning process. Be that as it may, I accepted that and fully participated in the planning by leaving my job. In the hindsight, I'm glad I did it.

2. Now execution part, they couldn't install 9 lights into 3 rows properly. More than 2 lights were completely out of line by 5 inches. I had to find the misalignment and correct them. As a result they punched 2 unnecessary holes into my ceiling. The guys are extremely reluctant to even fix the holes by simply pinning back the cut part of the sheet rock. I had to request and push them todo it. Even after spending lot of money on covering the holes and painting, it still looks a bit odd if I observe the ceiling carefully.

3. I accepted both 1 & 2, but now, post installation, all (i.e existing lights) the lights in my house are flickering as soon as I turn on the newly installed recess lighting. This flickering never happened before. They simply messed up even the switch installation & electric wiring while they installed the recess lighting.

I feel like I'm being cheated and plundered. I feel like Electric heroes should return some of my money back and come fix the flickering in my home. If you don't know how to do a job, just don't accept it. Please stop messing up with the customers and their homes & dream projects.

They might be really busy because the technician show up late. Other than that we are happy with the results.

I contacted Electric Heroes through Yelp and almost instantly got a response. They started by arranging an appointment with me for a virtual estimate for my job request, installing additional electrical outlets in my 2 bathrooms so that I could install bidets that required power.

Idan was quick to respond during my appointment and gave me an estimate based on some videos I sent to him over Whatsapp. I reached out to few other electricians for estimates but only 1 other place got back to me. I had to follow up with them after the holiday as they didn't get back to me, but Electric Heroes was always reaching out to me to make sure I got the help I needed.

They sent me an estimate over an online portal (through text message and email for convenience) that makes it easy to view the estimate, pay the estimate, and ask questions. Their infrastructure for their customer portal and notifications/reminders makes it extremely easy to interact with them during Covid. This definitely shows their professionalism as they have things in place that I did not expect. It also explains at what point in the process payment is required and breaks that down into percentages for each stage of the process, which I thought was fair.

When it came time for the work to be done, Jesus showed up to my door. He had his mask on, was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. Jesus listened to what my wife and I wanted and he provided his professional input to ensure what we wanted was inline with what was the best way to do it. We agreed with his assessment and plans and let him execute on said plans.

After Jesus finished the work, he walked my wife and I through what he did, showed us they were operational with his GFCI receptacle tester, and explained what he did at our breaker box. At the end of the job, Jesus said I could pay online through the invoice or write a check to the office. I paid by credit card online immediately after he prepped all of his tools and left.

I forgot to mention this but Jesus also respected my wife's request to not wear shoes in our house, if possible. He also came in with plastic covers to protect the area where he was working from debris and cleaned it all up afterwards. We appreciated that very much. He was very understanding and we were both very happy with his service and work ethics.

If you go with Electric Heroes for your next project, I highly recommend asking for Jesus to be your electrician for the actual labor and work. You won't be disappointed! I'm glad I did!

I hired Electric Heroes to replace an 80's chandelier with a more modern one in our two story foyer, fix some light switches and also add an exterior electrical outlet to the front of our house. They did a great job of initially communicating with me and giving me an estimate. Communication later on was spotty, as I tried to call them and could never get in touch with anyone, but they did come out on the day that was scheduled and Jose B. and his partner did an excellent job once they got to the house.

I requested a quote for the installation of a 220V line.

Initially the process started smoothly. I received a quick response and I had an appointment scheduled for a review within days.

Then things went a bit sideways. I was told that I did not have enough capacity in my main panel for the new circuit. I then followed up with a question about an open circuit in my subpanel. And waited. And prodded. And waited. And prodded. And waited. Finally, after about a week and my third follow up, I heard back with a request to send the same pictures I a had already sent during my first consultation. I sent these and waited. And prodded. And waited. And prodded. I just gave up. This was a waste of my time.

I reached out to Peter Irving Electric, and after five days I had my new line installed.

previous review still stands even after the owner replied. it wasnt just dust that found in the drains and such, the included pictures shows plaster or whatever was used for the ceiling all over the shower wall which had to be scraped off. who knows if this is in the drains too.

it's clear that although they strive for customer service but do not in fact exemplify it in practice.

For the record they offered a 'discount' to the work ONLY after I reviewed this here and on google, and only if I were to DELETE this and the other review. The balance at this time had already been paid and no mention of this was done on the front end. Instead, the office called me as did the owner to take it down for that exchange.

hire at your own risk. The reviews here may be good, but i wonder if they've just paid the bad ones off.

Had Electric heroes upgrade my service panel, add an ev charger and some misc items like installing a video doorbell. They did a virtual consultation and provided an estimate. Once approved we were able to schedule the job within a week.

The guys did a fantastic job. I opted for keeping the wires inside the walls instead of having a metal pipe on the outside. As a result they had to cut a hole from my garage, up through my living room, and then to the roof to make the connection. Their cuts were clean and made the subsequent patch job easier. Additionally, to enlarge my electrical panel, they had to cut into my brick exterior which was not a simple job.

All in all, very pleasant experience. Cost was very competitive, people were prompt and super friendly/knowledgable. Absolutely would use them again!

My days are longer now that lights work in the whole house again. Matt diagnosed and fixed the problem of my partial power outage in less than 2 hours. It was a month-long issue for me, and I worked with another company who believed the problem was something else entirely. And they were booked up for another month, so I contacted Electric Heroes to help. Matt is the real deal! He's super friendly and smart, and maybe psychic too! It's like he had the whole electrical scheme of the house mapped out in his mind and found the problem right away. And bonus - he went to Home Depot and picked up a light bulb and replaced it for us too! We are hopeless, but Matt really lived up to his company's name - Electric Heroes. Our estimation visit gave me a sense that the service they provide is one that will be done out of what you need ( necessary for what you want accomplished) and not the kind where they talk you into having done because they want to make extra money.

I contacted Electric Heroes for a main panel upgrade (from 100 AMP to 200 AMP) and to add a Level 2 Electric Car Charger to the exterior of my home.

Electric Heroes handled all the plans and permits efficiently. They use a special ap to communicate and process payments that makes doing business super smooth.

We signed a contract on Jan 18th. The plans and permits were issued in February and the installation occurred March 4th, 2021.

Jesus was the lead for the installation and he did a fantastic job. He lead a team of two other workers. Jesus and his team were very respectful and responsive to my questions and concerns. Jesus' work was very neat and organized. I think we were without power for roughly 7 hours which is what they had anticipated.

I performed the patch work to the exterior of the home on my own since it was minimal.

The final occurred in April, with Matt, the owner of the company, and we passed inspection without any problems.

I was very happy with Electric Heroes and would highly recommend them.

The techs are great and know exactly what they're doing! Matt the main guy is also great when you can get ahold of him... Zohra (the main lady on the phone line) can be quite condescending, rude, and lacks knowledge of their trade. All I needed was someone to talk through the problem with. Zhora made it extremely difficult every step of the way. From organization failures in their billing department to being outright mean and rude to me, a customer who has done multiple jobs with them and wanted to support their business further. After rude jabs, countless hours on the phone, and misquotes on simple estimates. Electric Heros needs major help in their customer service and call center procedures, starting with replacing Zohra with someone who does not lose their composure when frustrated.

The service was great. Our technician, Matt, was experienced and worked with us until the stubborn problem was fixed.

My issue is with the billing person who was horrid. They apparently had some staff changes in the past month and were backed up with billing. She said she was new? She was not aware that I had already reached out to them because they never sent me a final invoice. We intended to hire them for a larger job and needed to tie up this one.

She was rude, condescending, threatening, demanding, and hostile. I could not believe her adversarial communication style. I highly urge you to get her off your billing team because she failed miserably at customer service and was not able to collect payment. She should not be interacting with customers at all.

I left a voicemail with payment details if management cares to read this.

Work done: Sub-panel replacement

1) Quality: Excellent; even cleaned up after the job
2) Cost comparison: compared to other diamond certifieds, electric heroes' rate was the most affordable
3) punctuality, efficiency: came in time;finished in time; even took care of the city inspection and permit the same day (another five star for that)
4) over all experience: amazing! Gave me online estimate in two minutes. Others came home and wasted my time trying to impress me with their knowledge and ended up giving me high estimates.
If you want best rate and best quality, don't waste time finding any one other than the heroes.

Set up: First of all, I'm so appreciative of the yelp quote process. I actually thought I was requesting contact and a quote from one of the electricians I found on Yelp, but they sent my request to the top 5-rated electricians.

I was looking for someone to replace the bathroom fixture in my parental's bathroom (they took care of me, I take care of them now ;)) that went out a couple days earlier--I had no idea it went out until they kinda mentioned it.
Anyhoo, I tried replacing those long pole light rod bulb things and the lights only flickered. I needed an electrician. I know, those box lights are so awful, but I'm not ready to do any overhauls during this pandemic time.

The first one to respond (early bird gets the worm) was Electric Heroes. Since they were so forthcoming in their response, I gave them my consideration. After reading all the reviews (Yelp, well done) I decided the go ahead and fully engage. I think I was communicating with the owner, but he was very nice, not pushy. He asked the right questions and did not belittle my lack of electrician-ese. He asked me what time and day would work for me, yet still offered that they were pretty much immediately available the next day according to my schedule. Again, I like that this was up to me and not them.

I got a virtual estimate for them to come out and do the work. I went to Home Depot and picked up the appliance myself (Hint: do this, if you can. save $$ and you can see what you're getting)

They sent Bryan for an 11am appt. He called me around10:15 that morning to ask if he could come earlier. Of course!

Brayan was a pleasant, engaging, and did not mind me sticking around to hover a bit. I appreciate that. And he was masked up!

The installation was quick, clean, and best of all, IT WORKS NOW!

I paid on the spot, they emailed my receipt. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. If there were more stars to give they'd get them.

BEWARE ALL THE FUTURE CLIENTS. I wish there was a 0 rating and I'd have gladly awarded it to this company. Do not fall for all the positive reviews you are looking at yelp. All these reviews are either they are pushing the customers to write it or their family members and relatives wrote it.
We have a job done with them. The technician never mentioned that we had to pay right away. We are a company and we pay with a company check once we received the invoice. We sent the check after a couple of days.
After a week of the job done, they keep on calling and harassing for the payment. We informed them that we had already sent the payment to the address it was in the invoice. Then they said that they had moved and the address in the invoice was not the right one. I told them that it was not our fault and should have changed it. Then we had to cancel the check, put a stop sell, and re-issue the new one.
Once the new check was reissued, I called the manager Zohara to come and pick it up so that we will not have the same issue. She was rude and told me to take a picture of a check and send it to HER cell phone. It does not seem right to me since it has our banking information. She will cut you off whenever you try to explain her. It's pretty much telling you that she's always right and she cannot listen to any criticism or suggestions.
THEREFORE, BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER ZOHARA. SHE IS RUDE, IMPATIENT AND SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE A MANAGER. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. HER BOSS NEEDS TO FIRE HER. IF IT IS A FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS, SHE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM MANAGERIAL OR ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITIONS SO THAT THE COMPANY WILL NOT LOSE OTHER POTENTIAL CLIENTS.

A simple request to get an appointment for an estimate drew out to include asking to speak to my boyfriend or husband for clarification and repeated questioning that I made a mistake and contacted the wrong company because despite having a receipt, I wasn't in their system.

We had Brayan come to my place to install new extension outlets in my garage as well as rewire some conduits to put things to code and clean up external wiring to enable me to hide things neatly behind plywood. He was able to install the outlets in both existing plywood wall installations and unfinished walls expertly. For the plywood wall, he routed the wires so there was no need to drill any extra holes in the wall , except for the new outlet. The work was done precisely with no sloppy gaps. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. Great job! Will consider and recommend for future projects.

I gave these guys a try to install my vintage 1957 Sputnik chandelier, wire it to the wall switch, and install a dimmer. I got three quotes and Electric Heroes gave me the best price. I know that going with the cheapest bid can sometimes be the wrong move, but this was not the case. They are communicative, prompt, neat, finish the job quickly, and bill to estimate. I could not believe how wonderful they were. I would definitely use them again and I will recommend them highly to anyone. Totally deserving of the 5-star rating.

GREAT experience with Electric Heroes. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, very professional, and I appreciate their up front business practice. The fact that they were able to give me price quote over e-mail based upon my description of the work to be performed told me that they were very confident in their abilities and experience. I was contacted by other providers who wanted to charge a service visit fee that can be applied against a job before even giving me a quote. I understand the need for that practice when the job is bigger, but when the job is relatively small and what I think should be routine, I feel that an experienced and confident service provider should be able to give a fairly accurate fee quote.

The Tech (Matan) arrived right on time and was very professional. I am pretty handy and willing to try new projects on my own, but when I deal with things that can potentially kill someone (like myself or my family), I am willing to pay a professional to either teach me how to do it safely or else do it for me. Matan was willing to take the time to explain to me what he was doing and answer the questions I had so that in the future, I feel more confident in taking on my own projects and/or outsourcing when they are beyond my skill.

Great experience with Electric Heroes! I will definitely reach out to them in the future if I have new projects!

I was getting ready to receive delivery on our Tesla and would like to have NEMA 14-50 outlet installed in our garage. From the quote process to the completion of the job, dealing with Electric Heroes was very easy, pleasant, and straight forward.

During the quote process, we briefly talked on the phone and I sent pictures of my panel and my plan via text. It was very easy and I received a quote very fast.

After comparing with many other I decided to go with Electric Heroes because of the price and the fast service - based on how quickly they responded and how the entire quote process is just so easy to fit my busy schedule (some other companies want to visit the site and charge an assessment fee - but not Electric Heroes).

On the day of the appointment, they called me to confirm 1 hour prior to the appointment time and they arrived on time. He was very pleasant, nice, and friendly. The job was done very fast, clean, and looks great.

I am bookmarking them as our go to electrician and would definitely use them again if I need more electrical works in the future!

I appreciate that the technician came earlier than scheduled but that could mean I might not be home (they came at 10 am when my schedule was 1-2pm). My garage door and the electric socket next to it lost power overnight so I decided to give EH a try. However, for a service that only took 2 minutes (if at all) and a mere pressing of a button, I was charged the diagnostic fee of $185. I understand professional fee and all but for a 2 minute service and pressing a reset button, I am not sure if charging this much is warranted. I contacted them and appreciate the 50% discount but even that, I still felt a little robbed. I have contacted services through yelp where companies come for free estimates but I guess charging a flat rate diagnostic fee is the norm for electricians?

Electric Heros have been helping us with many of our electric issues since we purchased our new home. They are always curtious, professional and friendly. Only once there was a long delay while waiting for someone to arrive but rep promptly checked in, explained the hold up (customer emergency) and gave us an honest ETA. I had Electric Heroes install a NEMA 15-40 outlet for an electric car (which entailed a new main electrical panel to the building). There were some slowdowns, but not due to Electric Heroes, just the regular issues of contract work, inspections, etc.

When Electric Heroes found out that San Leandro requires an additional permit for EV chargers, they got a subcontractor to make the appropriate architectural drawings and file the permits. It was expensive, but that's just the overhead of permits and inspection and stuff. Electric Heroes made the process almost painless.

They did make a mistake where they installed the outlet upside-down, which I was a bit surprised at, but hey, mix-ups happen. The important thing is that I gave them a call and they were there within half an hour to put it right.

I needed an electrician because I had no power in my house and it was 90 degrees in my house !! I randomly found Electric Heroes on the Internet when I called Idan ( the owner of the company ) answered the phone and said he would be at my house in 20 min ( he arrived in 10 ) He found the problem in less than 15 minutes !! He absolutely very well could have told me other things that were wrong and I would have believed him. He was very honest. I would definitely recommend him to ANYBODY !!

I called these guys for an electrical issue that I was having at my apartment building. The tenant was complaining that 2 ceiling fans and a few receptacles stopped working all at the same time but there was still half the place working just fine. I checked all the breakers, everything seemed to be working so I called Electric Heroes to try and figure out what the problem was. Brian came and looked at things for less than 10 minutes before he said that he wanted to replace all receptacles, switches and wiring to the non functional areas. The likelihood that all failed at the same time is slim and none yet he wouldn't do anything else unless he started that way. What a joke. Spend more time diagnosing the problem, it left me feeling like they were milking the situation. Will be using another electrician in the area in the future.

Electric Heroes was fantastic. They had excellent communication. Their quote was extremely reasonable. They are very honest as well. When they had to exceed the quote, they explained why very well and even told us that we didn't really need to install a separate line because attaching to the original line was just as safe. So they weren't trying to make additional money off us. The only thing that wasn't perfect is that the person who came out apparently tried one area first to install the outlet, and then abandoned that and put it somewhere else, leave several holes in the plaster. Other than that, great experience!

Electric Heroes upgraded my electrical panel and installed some ceiling fans. The electrician, Francisco, did a fantastic job. He needed to cut a hole in the ceiling and reinforce the mount for the fans. He installed them solidly without any wobble or vibration so I'm very pleased with the result. Also, the job site was prepped and protected well to limit dust and the site was completely clean when he left. I'd highly recommend.

Couldn't be more happy with the job. I wanted to install 2 20-amp circuits in the garage for some wood working equipment. Matt gave me an estimate and also threw in an additional receptacle, free of charge. Jesus and Edward came in 2 days after to finish the job in time, and left the place clean. Although Matt did mention that they may have to drill a hole in the drywall to run the wires, Jesus found a way to not do so. Overall very happy with the job and the price, and would call them again

They installed a new electrical conduit (240V Outlet, 8 gage wire, and NEMA 6-50) in my garage. I'd sent out requests to a few places on Yelp, and was corresponding with a larger company that said it'd be a 4-man job but didn't get back with their availability for a month. They are simply awful. They are disorganized and use cheap light fixtures. When the installer came to install my recessed lights, he had no intention of covering anything in my kitchen. When I mentioned it, he left and went to Home Depot to buy plastic to cover everything. Seriously? The second time he came back he had a brand new ladder which he did not know how to use. Nice guy but what contractor shows up for a job without proper tools including to protect my property. Oh and he damaged my kitchen cabinet. I also dislike the lighting color and keep calling them to come back and make adjustments. They returned once to fix the problem but the fixtures aren't adjustable so now need to buy new ones. All they do is harass me to pay the balance which I refuse to do until the job has been completed as expected. Stay away.

The technician showed up not even having a multimeter to measure the AC voltage!! I had to tell him that you need to measure the AC on the ground, which indicates faulty ground connection somewhere. At the end, he used one of those highly inaccurate beeping pencils to claim the faulty ground is fixed when cable is plugged to its inlet. Entirely unconvincing since he could not tell exactly how much AC voltage was on the shield of the cable, and the whole affair was barely 10 minutes at the cost of 99$.

Amending the review: Idan reached out to refund me. It shows a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. I do appreciate it.

This outfit is the real deal. They responded right away to my call and came out the next day.
The efficient crew of three changed out all the plugs and switches in the house and grounded them, all looking new and modern.
Work done properly and the price was right.
Above and beyond, they also helped us move some furniture into the garage that we needed to get out there.

Very unreliable. They started out great with getting back to my initial inquiry requesting a quote for some work. An appointment was setup for a video consult with an hour timeframe for the call. On the day of the appointment, no call. I sent a follow-up message 15 minutes after our designated timeframe with no response after another 30 minutes. I'm very disappointed I wasted my time on my day off.

Our rental property needed new light sockets to replace the old 4 pin (hard to find and very inconvenient). Found Electric Heroes and met w/ Matan. Great experience with Electric Heroes. They responded quickly to my request for a quote for a new GFCI outlet in my bathroom, and arrived on time for the work. The price was very reasonable ($215) but did not include any necessary drywall patching (which was OK as I patched the areas myself). Matan actually ended up putting in a new line (rather than tap the existing line) for the same quoted price. I would definitely use them again.

My outlets in the bathroom ( new residence) stopped working and the technician came out and was able to diagnose quickly. It turns out it was a minor situation. However, when he was here he advised that I had some weird electrical wiring going on. He told me it might cost 3K or more so I was immediately concerned about the issue and unexpected cost . Shortly after that my stove stopped working and the home warranty sent out another electrician. It turns out that Electric heroes was spot on. I do need rewiring as there already was a fire in my fuse box. I was advised not to use my stove until the rewiring has been completed due to safety issues. I will be calling them back to help as I feel confident in their work and knowledge. In comparison to the other electrician company Electric Heroes were way more professional.They were punctual and super efficient with time here. Thank you Electric Heroes!
