I have a lot of experience in house renovation and have used many electricians over the years.  I have never encountered anyone as professional, curteous and experienced as Guerreros Electrical.

We hired Carlos and his team to move and replace a full breaker box/sub-panel replacement  in a house in Berkeley.

Carlos was always prompt and  thorough in his communications.  Calls, texts, and e-mails were returned quickly and Carlos took the time to answer any questions we had.

On project day his team arrived promptly and  with all the supplies and materials needed.  They were took extreme care to protect surfaces and to keep dust/debris to a minimum.

Their work and wiring was neat and clean and done to proper standards.  While it's a small thing, each breaker was labeled with a printed label, as opposed to an unintelligible scrawl.  As someone who has been through many electrical projects, it's these details that make a difference.

The project was completed on time and within budget.  And speaking of budget, the contract price was quite fair.

I wholeheartedly recommend this company for any electrical need you may have.

Amazing electricians! Super fast, fairly priced, flexible availability and I also appreciated how mindful they were with masks and taking care of my house. I had a light fixture to install that I wasn't comfortable doing myself and they were super easy to work with.

I can't say enough about this company. I called because I had an issue with a flickering light, low voltage, random power outages. Whoever I spoke to, told me to instead call PGE and have them come out. If PGE Didn't fix the issue, I was instructed to call back for an appointment. They told me exactly what to ask of PGE. Well, I called PGE, they came out and fixed the problem. EXTREMELY trustworthy and if I have any electrical issues around the house next time, this company will be the first I call.

Carlos Guerrero is the best. He knows houses and electricity from the ground up, plus he also knows the City of Berkeley and PG&E permit processes extremely well. I would hire Carlos and his crew again in a heartbeat!

After they did a few smaller jobs for me really well, I hired them for the biggie: an electrical upgrade for my main house so that I could provide power for an ADU. I'm so glad I did! Because of permit delays that were not their fault, the whole project took more than a year, but Carlos and his crew were here for me every step of the way--reliable, competent, and efficient, including showing up the very next morning after an emergency outage. We had internet again in one hour.

I think the world of Carlos. He really knows what he's doing, and he's also a responsive and responsible communicator. And the bottom line? Considering the amount of work involved, what I paid was quite reasonable. I'm a grateful fan of Guerreros Electric.

We had a breaker blown by the electrical storm (we think) and it wouldn't reset. I called at 9 a.m., they were here by 10 a.m., and the work was finished and everything working by 11 a.m. It's amazing to work with people who are so efficient and professional. So appreciated. Our bathroom has lights and fans again.

I called these guys yesterday about a problem with our dining room ceiling light - it was flickering. It's a pendant lamp and I wasn't sure how I could switch out the light socket to see if that was the problem, so I looked here for an electrician.

Juan called me back within an hour of my message to them. He told me his rate and said he could do the work this week, but also described how LED dimmers and dimmer switches have evolved over the years - that it might just be that I have to switch out the dimmer switch and perhaps a different bulb. He described how the new dimmer switches can be adjusted and paired with specific light bulbs. In a three-minute conversation, he walked me through what to shop for and what to consider when installing it.  So I tried this and... it's fixed!

He gave me a little bit of his time, for free.  He was most helpful.  And as a result, when I inevitably stumble on something I can't fix myself, I'll hire him to do the work.

So technically we did not have Guerrero's come out. I called about a problem with our smoke detectors after we had done everything under the sun to try and fix the beeping ourselves. We called Guerrero's, ready to just replace all the smoke detectors. The man who I spoke with gave us some trouble shooting advice we had not tried and recommended trying these tips out before getting a whole new system. We were able to fix the problem on our own thanks to their support. I appreciate honesty and efficiency so I'll be sure to call them for future electrical needs!

I had an urgent electrical issue at the house and I called them on a Sat morning, Mr.Carlos and his son Jason were able to come out on the same day, they did the trouble shooting and repaired on the spot. Reasonable price, easy to work with, will definitely work with them again! Highly recommended!

Carlos and his team are the best. We had them rewire our entire house and get rid of old knob and tube wiring back in February. Carlos and his team walked us through the entire process and kept us updated every step of the way.

Even when we ran into some unexpected hiccups he kept the project on time. I cannot recommend Carlos enough as he will take care of you.  Carlos also recommended great patchers and painters along with a great attic insulation person.

$760 dollars for changing 3 outdoor lights (no drilling). Wow. For that I would have preferred to just watch a Youtube video and do it myself.  This was not the price he quoted me. I recommend that everyone stay away from this business.

Just saw your response. Just to be clear, so everyone can make this decision for themselves.  3 simple installations of lights with no drilling and the switching out of the two lights that are exactly the same will cost you almost $800.  There were 2 people here for one hour. Easy job. I wasn't given an itemized receipt, just an arbitrary amount I had to pay which was almost twice as much as the amount you quoted me.

We had Guerreros remove some old knob and tube wiring in our older Berkeley house.  They were very efficient and very good in terms of clean up, and the cost was exactly the estimated price.  The work was very well done -- we found an old line in the attic after they did the work that was not part of the original estimate.  They came back out to check it out and verified that it was no longer connected for no additional charge. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for future work: very knowledgeable, on target with the estimated cost, and super efficient.

Last night we were worried our house was gonna burn down cause our sub panel was sparking and lights in our house kept dimming randomly. I called Guerreros Electric as soon as they opened in morning, and he rushed over asap and fixed it. I was amazed at how much they cared about our issue, the speed of there response, and there quick identifying and fixing the issues.

Terrible experience with this company. They didn't fix what we asked them to fix, gaslighted my spouse by telling her a loose binary switch was a rheostat, and refused to act in an honorable way when I pointed this out. Not an ethical business.

I called about an issue today, and the owner walked me through how to fix the problem myself. He is amazing. I am going to retain this company from now on for all my electrical issues. Thank you, Guerreros Electric!

You want Carlos and his team of experts to do your electrical work. He brings the highest level of expertise and experience to every job. Not only is he and his team expert electricians, Carlos brings a depth of understanding and aesthetics about how lighting will turn out in a space. I have worked with he and his crews on several projects and only want to work with his company for future homes I will be flipping. He recently did a superb job on my kitchen including creating a generator bypass for when the power goes out. All perfectly executed.

Carlos was the first of all electricians we contacted to provide us with an estimate. It happened to be the best price we found, too. Guerreros Electric helped us upgrade our main panel and rewire an entire house in just a few weeks. They are unbelievably efficient and finished the work just a few days after they promised they would begin the project--they are quick and nimble and managed to fit us in between other projects on short notice.

RESPECTFUL
The crew is wonderfully clean and quiet--as if they are working in their own home. They even cleaned our dirty dishes in the sink :) Beautiful workmanship throughout. And no mistakes!

KNOWLEDGEABLE
We didn't doubt the team's expertise for a moment. They knew what they were doing every step of the way and connected us with painting/patching and attic insulation experts at just the right time to keep the ball rolling smoothly. We trusted them to make the right decisions--and they always did.

Bless the souls of the people from this business. We called to set up an appointment to have someone come take a look at our kitchen outlets. He was able to help us out over the phone in under 5 minutes and we were able to get it working again. I did want to share my strange experience.  I called the phone number shown on both Yelp and on their website and left a message to schedule a time to trouble shoot a problem.  They called back and their message was a bit garbled.  I called again and they said they only communicate by email and to send them an email.  

Strange way to do business.  Why even list the phone number?

Rather embarrassing (for me) to say, but I had a very simple problem when my breaker box shut off to one area of the home. How to get electric service back?

One electrical contractor planned to send an electrician out on a call to fix. They were late so I called Guerreros. Did you hit the reset button, Mr. Guerrero asked. Why no I hadn't. Let's do that. Yay it is fixed, no service charge, done in 3 minutes.

Guerrero's was hired as a subcontractor for an AC installation job we had in July 2020.  Their two technicians, Brandon and Damien showed up early and busted tail to get the job done - yes the wore masks the whole time.  They were also able to work around needing to turn the power off while we worked from home.  

My wife and I decided that we didn't like the look of how the work turned out (on the roof versus around the side of the home).  The work was excellent, we just didn't like the aesthetic of it.  I would also note Damien insisted we should have gone around the side of the house on the first place, while we refused.  So we asked Brandon if they could re-route the work.  He called Carlos who worked with their schedule, and after we agreed to a change order they were able to reroute the electrical and Brandon and Damien did the work the SAME DAY.  It looks incredible, we just need to do some final painting on our end.  

Most amazing of all is how polite the crew was and the fact the crew never complained about re-doing work.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. Carolos and his team of experts have rejuviated and made safe a 95 year old house and am preparing for sale. In our initial walkthrough, Carlos very quickly pointed out the knob and tube that was in the house (sad news for me.) He asked me to have all the insulation removed from the attic so they could be thorough in replacing the faulty wiring and installing the recessed lights throughout the main floor. His team arrived and reminded me of the days in medical school when a team of surgeons was about to perform a complex operation... Carlos's team were all so focused on their jobs,  all seemed to know the code in amazing detail, and had a great way of communicating with each other. As the upper floor was coming to competion I dicovered knob and tube on the lower floor that had been disquised to look like it had beeen updated but it was just a shoddy job done years ago. Carlos rewired the entire downstairs as well.
Everyday that Carlos was onsite his motto to his team was, Let's make it better!

These guys did a great job on my electrical issue. I didn't have power to part of my house and they came promptly and worked hard to get it back up and running. Courteous, fair prices, friendly employees, and quality work. Will definitely call them again for any electrical problems I may have.

We recently bought a house during Covid and didn't learn about the electrical issues until a few weeks after closing when we initially wanted to update and add a few outlets around the house.  To our surprise we needed to change the electrical panel, sub panel, recessed lightingwalk-throughand other fixtures, bathroom fans, ground outlets, and re-wire the entire home.  

We found out from a neighbor that the previous owner tinkered around and made electrical upgrades themselves- a DIYer not a professional.  Learning this was very unsettling as we noticed everything would flicker in the home when a device was plugged into an outlet even a phone charger.  So we searched electricians and received many bids.  We received some estimates that were ridiculously outrageous considering the fact that we do not live in SF and they charged SF costs.  We also received some that were low, but wanted us to not push for a permit or notify pg&e of upgrades - highly don't recommend this.  Guerrero's estimate was fair and he answered all of our questions during the walk through.  

We are very happy and pleased with Guerrero's work.  Carlos and his team were early and on time each day.  They answered all of the questions, concerns and what-ifs, while walking us through the process throughout the time of the project.  My husband and I ask a lot of questions even the same question multiple times to ensure we understood what was going on.  Guerrero's team happily answered everything we threw at them.  The team was meticulous about their work, very neat, clean and organized from the beginning to end.  We highly recommend Guerrero's Electric Inc for all residential projects and they do commercial work as well.  If we ever need more work done or renovation upgrades we know we can count on Carlos and his team.

There is something to be said for staying loyal when you've found a good service provider.

We had a fluorescent ceiling fixture that we had owned for many years, which suddenly stopped working. It was urgent for us to get the problem resolved. Although all of Carlos's team were booked up for the next couple of days, he managed to juggle his schedule and send out a team the very next morning to replace the ballast. When that did not fix the problem, he actually sent a family member to my home with a couple of new fluorescent tubes. That, too, did not resolve the issue, which meant that the fixture itself was faulty. Carlos would not quit. He recommended that we replace it with a LED fixture (better light and no more tubes to replace!), and within a couple of hours his team was back with a new fixture.

They installed it in record time, and the charge was absolutely reasonable.

Carlos and his crew just finished a large electrical job at my house that involved rewiring and adding recessed lighting throughout. Carlos' prices were far superior to another prominent electrical company that I interviewed and the work is top notch. Carlos also did an amazing job of working with me throughout the process as smaller issues came up. He was very accommodating of change orders and helped me make the best decisions for my home.

Carlos emailed me promptly and set up a time to come troubleshoot my various electrical problems (I let them build up until it was worth a call).  My previous electrician had retired and I wasn't looking forward to finding a new one, but Guerreros Electric Inc. was highly recommended. I was very happy to find this all true. Communication beforehand was very clear, including the fees (no surprises when they finished). They were prompt, arrived in masks, which they wore the entire time. He explained what my issues were, how they happened, and fixed everything on the spot (they brought what they needed, instead of having to run out to get supplies). We are very happy with their work and would definitely use them in the future.

Very Strong Recommendation.  Carlos and his crew are incredibly talented electricians.  I hired them for a large complex historic building in the East Bay and they installed underground wiring to a new breaker box, dedicated wiring to all high load circuits, and were troubleshooting every step of the way.  Amperage draw was far higher than had been anticipated, and Carlos designed a system that can accommodate modern appliance expectations - plus some electric floorboard heaters.  (So we don't need to do gas heating.)  
 
Carlos is very talented, as is his son and his crew.  They are professional, communicate clearly, and will get the job done quickly and efficiently.  The crew spent extra time getting a ceiling chandelier to align with the roof rafters, which really impressed me. In terms of Covid, the crew kept social distancing and face coverings the entire time.   I cannot recommend them highly enough and I have worked with a lot of electricians....  Talk to Carlos before you commit to another electrician - you will not regret it.

I called Guerreros Electric to make an appointment.  The person I reached (the owner?) helped me diagnose the problem on the phone, and even spent time with me on FaceTime to fix the problem.  I am so grateful that he took the time to do this and did not charge me for his services.  Such courtesy and generosity!

The owner came out to do a walk through. My wife had an idea of what she wanted done. Carlos, was extremely professional, and made the proper recommendations. There was no up sale and truly listened to our needs. We shopped other electricians and once we're ready to move forward Carlos is our guy.

I would give 6 stars to Carlos and his team if I could.  We engaged Guerreros Electric to remove the K&T wiring and update the electrical in our house.  The entire experience was a very positive one (it sounds odd to say that about a team of 5 electricians moving around the entire house, crawlspace, and attic for five days, but it's true).  

A few things stand out to me about Guerreros Electric.  First, Carlos is very precise and straightforward.  The quote was detailed and, importantly, included a list of things that were not included in the quote, which is helpful for ensuring that everyone is on the same page about what work will, and will not, be done.  His accuracy was refreshing.  

Second, Carlos knows the code and he will tell you what needs to be done to pass inspection, as well as what would not be up to code.  (After our inspection was completed, I overheard Carlos discussing with the inspector an atypical scenario from another job, to determine what would be the correct manner to proceed.  This impressed me!)  

Third, his team worked together professionally and efficiently.  Much of their work involves someone under the house coordinating with someone inside the house.  It is obvious that his team has worked together for a long time.  In addition, Carlos holds his team to a high standard, illustrated by his discussing code requirements with them, in his inspections of their work, and the team's strict adherence to keeping everything neat and orderly.  The entire team was also responsive to our questions and they were happy to accommodate our preferences.

Fourth, Carlos has a great eye for lighting design, in addition to his technical expertise.  Our dining room had a sad light in the center of a tray ceiling.  I wanted better lighting but could not figure out a way to do it without making the room looking unbalanced (as the dining room table is not centered in the room).  Carlos recommended a solution involving recessed lights and pendant lights.  The result is unbelievable.  Is it weird to love sitting in a dining room, just to enjoy the lighting?  

We feel like we not only made a great investment in the fundamentals of the house (the type of improvement that is good for the property value, but not one that is necessarily visible), but the improved lighting has also markedly improved our daily enjoyment of being in the house.  Money well spent, from multiple perspectives.

I recently bought an old house (built 1928) and it, like many older houses, had too few electrical outlets and many it did have weren't grounded. I had them rewire existing outlets as well as add a few more outlets to the living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and the laundry room. They were up-front about having to cut holes and how patching wasn't their area of expertise so I might need to do patching afterward.

It took them two days. When I saw their work, it was very well done and almost looked like they were never there. (At worst, there were a few extremely small areas that need some touch-up.) I'm extremely pleased with their work.

Carlos and his team did an outstanding job rewiring our 1920s Berkeley home. Our ceiling lights and switches were fed by original knob and tube that was hidden away in a barely accessible crawl space that was also filled with blown insulation.

Carlos was able to disconnect, replace, and remove the knob and tube with a minimum of holes in the wall. His work was precise, and he kept the area totally clean. I was amazed at how little dust or debris was evident.

He finished most of the work in two days (faster than I expected) and gave us a great recommendation for someone who specializes in wall repair. In less than a week, the job was done; and the interior finishes look perfect -- impressive considering that we have plaster walls with several different textures.

The new wiring in the basement crawlspace is tidy, and Carlos also upgraded some of the switches on the breaker box.

Throughout the process, Carlos responded to all of my questions promptly and thoroughly.

I'd absolutely work with him again, and recommend him highly.

Incredible electricians. Highly competent and professionals. Hard workers who get the job done quickly and correctly. Passed inspection on first try. I will use them on all my future jobs. Having worked in this area for 35 years, I have rarely found any firm with the expertise, experience, and service that these folks have.

Carlos and his crew from Guerreros Electric did an excellent
job modernizing the wiring  of our 100+ year old house and I
want to take this opportunity to thank him and them for their
fine work, and recommend them to others.  The bulk of the
work was taking the knob & tube wiring out, replacing old
outlets with grounded ones, and we also asked
them to add a few new outlets, fixtures and switches.  Our
main panel was out of available circuits, and so they also
needed to put in a new sub-master panel.

As anyone with an old house knows, the hard part is the
last few feet: taking the new wiring through the walls to
the existing fixtures and outlets.  Fishing all these
new wires through old walls and attics and basements is an art,
requiring both experience in how these houses are put together
and imagination to solve the problems that always arise.

When you agree to a price on a bid for work like this, the
home owner has to just hope and trust they share the same
notion of what the final result will be.  I'm recommending
Guerreros Electric to you because they were careful with our
house, did the work we requested, and used good judgement
solving all the unanticipated issues.

I first encountered Carlos Guerrero a few years ago. It was a Saturday, and all of a sudden the outlets in the bathroom didn't work, even after resetting the GFI. He was willing to come over on a Saturday, but asked if I had checked the circuit breaker. I hadn't, for the simple reason that when the bathroom had been remodeled, the electrician had taped over that particular circuit with it in the on position. But, to humor him, I made the effort to check. Guess what? In spite of the tape job, the switch had found its way to the off position. Turned it on and (surprise) everything worked. That saved me a few dollars for a house call.

Last week, I needed some minor electrical work done (a light fixture replaced and a switch installed). It took him less than an hour to finish both jobs. He's head and shoulders above other electricians who have worked for me in recent years. I would highly recommend him.

Had Carlos install some lights today.  He stands out not only for the knowledge of the work he is doing but also for great communication.

Carlos and his worker came to replace the main circuit breaker at my house this morning. I had lost electricity from 6 pm yesterday. I was very lucky to get him on Saturday morning before he attends the scheduled work on very short notice.
He was very nice to clean the area that he didn't have to and answer my questions with care. I will use him again in the future.

I only spoke to a man on the phone, but he was awesome and helpful!  He charged $100 less than another company to look at the problem & explained what I might be able to do on the phone without hiring an electrician.

Carlos and his team are top notch. These guys figured out the problem and provided a correct solution. Most electricians do patch jobs. Carlos and his team correctly solved the problem the way it should be so that everything was to code. I will defiantly be calling his team again. They cleaned up after themselves, explained everything, and put everything back the way it was.

I have enjoyed Guerreros' excellent electrician services for the six years I've owned my home.  Most recently, I had put my house on the market and it was in pristine condition and being shown to potential buyers.  Then I needed to switch out a malfunctioning porch light timer, and in doing so, something went wrong with the power to the kitchen disposal and dishwasher. I called Carlos to ask for a service appointment. Instead of booking himself into a paying service call, he asked me to send him photos of the AC outlet and the electrical panel, and told me how to fix the problem myself, over email. This is just another example of what a great and ethical professional he is!

Carlos helped me reset a GFCI over the phone.  He could easily have charged me the service fees for a site visit but chose to help free of charge.  I highly recommend such a vendor.

Their secret sauce: a fully functional and cohesive team, impeccable customer service and incredible value. I generally hate filtering through contractors who I can trust. But Carlos and his team delivered on every front. Not only did they finished a highly complicated wiring project in record time but they respect your home and budget. We've had Carlos and his crew come out to do two big projects for us: install recessed lights & replace the leftover portion of knob and tube wiring in our 90-year-old bungalow.

The first time they came out, we had just moved in and wanted to install recessed lights in our living room and master bedroom, 11 cans total.  It was a lot of work but his crew installed all of it in one day and it was one of the best investments we made for our home.

The second time was to do the big work, replace the knob and tube wiring.  This took 2 days but in that time Carlos found some more issues and suggested other improvements.  Since some of our old track lighting fixtures would have to get removed as part of the knob and tube replacement, he gave us a discount on adding recessed lights in their place since they were already in our attic, 8 more cans. He also said the installation of the ceiling fan in our office wasn't up to code (oops, we had our handyman do it) and fixed that for us as well.  Under our home, the splicing was a mess (expected since various parts of our home was remodeled/renovated at different times) and his crew fixed that too.

It's a pretty penny to do this electrical work, but trust Carlos and his team to do it right and for a fair price.

I would definitely call him again when we need additional work done.

These guys are terrific. We called today, during the shutdown, needing a minor, but important, repair to a broken switch. They came within an hour, wearing masks, and explained that they were trying to do all the could to protect their customers. They fixed our problem quickly, efficiently, and for a reasonable charge. We couldn't have asked for better service.

i called guerrero's electric about a blown fuse and although we made an appointment, he suggested facetiming on the call to look at the problem. then he proceeded to walk me through the steps of fixing my issue and didn't charge me! what kindness and amazing service. i will definitely call them for all electrical work in the future!

Came right away and solved what seemed like a big problem -- which was actually something we could have fixed ourselves.  Showed us how to fix it if it happens again and spent time inspecting to help us figure out what we were doing to cause the short.

I would definitely call them again.

We've hired Guerreros Electric, Inc for a variety of electrical work to be done at our house (built in 1936) over the past 12 years and they always exceed our expectations. They are quick to respond with estimates, show up on time, are super polite, experienced, and accomplished electricians. AND they clean up! (Shout out to Damien and Brandon for their fine work yesterday.) Highly recommend.

This dude knows his electrical stuff. He saved me a lot of $$ and time and knew things that other electricians didn't. Carlos is a little gruff on the phone but he's an electrician, not a therapist. He is a man of few words and those words are generally important.

Very recommended.  Guerreros installed a 220 V range outlet for us that involved running a ~20 foot cable through the crawl space into the kitchen.  They brought in an professional team with 2 electricians + 1 foreman.  They used floor protection and examined the range schematics to ensure the outlet was in the best position.  It was all a really well-executed, impressive operation.  All that, and their price was extremely competitive.

I called Carlos today to repair an outlet and switch to our garbage disposal that stopped working. He arrived within 30 minutes of the phone call, and fixed the problem within the hour. He and his partner were helpful and efficient. Would definitely use again if we have other electrical problems and highly recommend!

So thrilled with the service these guys provided. They came in and rewired my entire house after a dangerous hard short knocked out the entire house, which had old knob and tube wiring. Within a week, I have a vastly improved electrical infrastructure, massively reduced fire risk, and they added a bathroom fan (old house, didn't have one), wired smoke detectors, and fan/light fixtures in upstairs rooms, and removed all the wiring and fixtures associated with an old security system that was no longer in use. The entire crew behaved with the utmost professionalism -- while having a crew of electricians in your relatively small home during a stay-at-home order is not ideal, these guys made it as painless and seamless an experience as imaginable.

I didn't have work done by Guerrero's. Just an estimate. But they were fast, thorough and accurate. Thanks again for the quote.

Guerreros Electric provided prompt, professional, and competent service involving checking a fussy fuse and removing six old fixtures and installing six new ones. I felt that the job was in good hands and done with care. Highly recommend.

Since this review was posted, Guerreros Electric came back to trouble shoot a problem I had felt was solved. They went above and beyond in spending time to resolve this very tricky issue (a wire to a rarely used fan shorting a fuse - but intermittently) and then refused any additional payment. I never heard of such conscientious, beyond-honorable professional service. And before they left, they checked an additional light on their way out. They are the best.

I used Guerreros for the first time in March 2020 to replace a light/exhaust fan combination over a shower and install an exterior electrical plug for a new irrigation system.  They were very responsive to my phone calls and email.  They sent two skilled electricians out within a day or two who did the work quickly and efficiently in a couple of hours.  Everyone was a pleasure to work with and Guerreros will be my go to electricians from now on.

Great service and reasonable price.  Walked me through the basics on the phone and got an estimate to me right away.  Came with his son who was learning - both Carlos and his son were polite and really nice to work with.

All the wonderful reviews are accurate.  Carlos and his team were honest, reasonably priced, and went above and beyond what I asked of them.  I had a decent sized project and he went out of his way to fix other little issues along the way without charging any extra.  He answers his phone each time I have called, and also responds to emails very quickly.  He also suggested some ways to save money on the work.  Will definitely hire again without hesitation if needed!

Carlos came by to fix a broken outlet and assess other electrical issues at our home. After receiving as estimate for several items we found that communicating with him via email was difficult and his answers were curt. While he may be a skilled electrician we'd prefer working with someone more personable. He was also an hour late to our appointment.

Last week half the electricity in our house went out, and we were left scrambling for expert electrical help on Saturday morning. Finding an available electrician is like winning the lottery, but miraculously I reached Carlos, who was exceptionally responsive. On the phone he took the time to trouble shoot, but his team was booked well into the following week. Since his followup and phone consulting were incredible, we decided to wait for Guerreros Electric. Our expectations were exceeded in person, as Carlos fixed the problem and educated us about our electrical system. I highly recommend Guerreros Electric, and I will definitely call them again when we need an electrician.

These guys were great! Brandon and Damien came out for two problems, one of which involved much sleuthing in addition to just needing to be fixed. They figured it out and fixed, gave me some tips and options for things to do going forward. Excellent customer service and great competence.

Horrible communication and customer service!  Carlos did not show up for the appointment after it had been confirmed.  When he was asked why, he tried to deny confirming the appointment even though the email thread showed otherwise.  He also was rude and combative.  Luckily, another electrician was able to come by and did a great job at about half of Carlos' hourly rate!

I can see why Carlos has received excellent reviews in the past.  Carlos and Jose just spent about 3 hours to install a chandelier in our dining room, troubleshoot multiple switches and evaluate, as well as, educate us on the differences and benefits of upgrading our sub panel vs. grounding non-grounded electrical outlets throughout our 1940 house.  He is the third electrician to assess our current electrical status, and we finally felt that his assessment was more honest, direct, and logical compared to others.  In addition, upon initially contacting him via his website, we received a response later that day, which resulted in him coming out to our house a few days later.  We look forward to working with him and his team again.

I highly recommend Guerreros Electric for your electrical service needs.  I recently called them to have two dead outlets replaced in my older home. Carlos promptly scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later (for a specific time even, not a huge window!).  Two of his technicians arrived promptly at the scheduled time.  They easily and efficiently replaced the two outlets (no we will need to rewire the entire house to complete the work issues) at a reasonable price ($150 per hour, which was $30 per hour less than another nearby company was charging).  The technicians were friendly and courteous, and even had booties for their shoes, which many technicians do not these days (or even if they do, they balk at having to use them).  The five star rating is well earned, and I would most definitely use them again if ever needed.  Thanks Carlos!

Responsive and helpful when I've had scheduled 'upgrades' and when I've needed emergency help.

Service call Saturday after Thanksgiving.  $150 but not fixed.

A fuse blew and the GFCI circuit that controlled the refrigerator would not hold, starting on Thanksgiving (Thursday).  It was difficult to find someone to come out, and several wanted to try to talk me through the problem.  Carlos met me on Saturday, after I agreed to pay him $200 for his service call.  He and an associate looked at the fuse box, and the GFCI circuit.  He told me to ignore the fuse since it did not seem to be controlling anything, and suggested that I reset the GFCI circuit, which I did (again). It seemed to hold while he was here for 25 minutes, so I chalked it up to user error once again, and he left.  

However, the GFCI failed again. I called Carlos on Sunday, and he suggested that I re-wire the GFCI.  I looked at it, but was not comfortable with the repair, and was not willing to spend more of my time and effort to recontact Carlos.  I hired another electrician who quickly told me that refrigerators are not supposed to be on GFCI circuits and re-wired it for me ($110).  

Total cost to re-wire GFCI circuit: $260.  Not good.  I was disappointed that Carlos did not know that the refrigerator should not be on a GFCI and then did not offer to come out and fix it.

Two stars as he only charged me $150 vs. $200 (or $180, as I was eligible for a 10% discount by using Yelp).

Carlos and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had something blow out in the middle of the night, which meant half our house had no electricity when we woke up. On the phone, before even discussing any charges for his services, he walked me through all the troubleshooting steps I could take before a professional would need to come out. Once we determined that it was something I could fix (a new fuse), he was at my home within 30 minutes, and for a very reasonable initial consultation fee, fixed the issue within about an hour, and didn't charge me any more than what he said on the phone. He also noticed an issue on the outside of the building which PG&E needs to fix, and went out of his way to help me call their emergency line, explain the issue, and schedule them to come out and fix a wire which was a fire hazard! We live in an old building, so I definitely plan to work with Guerreros Electric again in the future! Thanks Carlos!

Carlos arrived right on time to advise me on an open ground kitchen circuit.  He also reviewed our very dated 1956 fuse box.  Very knowledgeable and honest with his recommendations.  Knows what he's talking about, I would not use any other electrician for our future work, and I recommend Guerreros Electric with no reservation.

Carlos was responsive via telephone and setting up an in-person appointment was relatively easy via e-mail. He confidently diagnosed the problem and graciously charged us the lesser of two quoted fees because, in the end, there was not much work to do (as we are renters).

Really classy guys. We had just moved into a new house and the electric was on the fritz, and we called these guys in a panic to come out on a Saturday and fix everything (lights and outlets all over the house). Instead of coming and charging us for their time, my husband spoke extensively with Carlos on the phone (who returned our panicked call promptly on a weekend), and Carlos' advice was to first call PG&E, who could come and check our main power source...for free. We did, and PG&E was able to fix the problem (which Carlos correctly diagnosed over the phone), saving us a bunch of time, money, and peace of mind. Seriously...a very classy move. We'll be keeping these guys on speed dial for when we do actually need them.

I had a small fire in my house. I used Yelp to locate Carlos. No complaints.

We had a pair of aging gas water heaters that we wanted to upgrade to all electric heaters - to substantially reduce our home's carbon emissions.  However we were advised by the water heater installers that our main electric panel didn't have enough capacity to add the electric water heaters we wanted.  So I went to the Yelp website and quickly found Guerreros Electric, a local company with a 5 star rating and over 100 outstanding customer reviews. I requested a bid on a project to upgrade our main panel to a 225 amp panel. I received a very quick reply and an immediate appointment for an inspection and cost free discussion of our upgrade options.  Soon thereafter I received a very reasonable bid and a quick timeline (within days) to start the project.  Bingo!  I accepted the bid and they finished the main work on this big panel upgrade in 1 & 1/2 days, meeting all of our special requests for locating the new panel, placing 2-30 amp lines for our new water heaters, painting the new high amperage service hookup a color to match our house trim, tastefully capping off the old service hookup, and nicely closing up the old (now defunct) service panel.  In addition they pulled all the local electrical permits, arranged the completion inspection by the City and arranged for PG&E to hang the new high amp power line (in a new location) and remove the old line - all this for no additional expense.  Awesome performance!.  We couldn't be more pleased!  I very highly recommend Guerreros Electric.  When we do next project to replace our gas furnace with an electric heat pump, I plan to call on Carlos and his excellent crew to do the electrical work, running it off the new high amperage main panel he installed for us.  This will put us further down the road to our goal of running a modern carbon neutral home .

Carlos and the guys from Guerreros Electric are great. I have an old house in the Oakland hills that needs a lot of electrical love and am completely stoked to have found Carlos. It all started from first contact. I emailed Carlos at Guerreros Electric to request a home visit and quote. Carlos replied that day (a Friday) and was able to come by on Monday. I got his quote on Tuesday. That small interaction revealed his responsiveness and attention to detail that permeates all of his work. In stark contrast, the other electricians I contacted took weeks to just get a quote.

When Carlos was doing the walk through, he explained in detail all the things called out on our home inspection report in addition to any other items he saw that needed attention. He was honest and forthright in helping me better understand knob and tube wiring and some of the pre-existing work done by the prior homeowner.

We decided to go with Guerreros Electric in large part to the way Carlos runs his business. We were doing a mixed bag of work (cleaning up the main panel wiring, installing new outlets, rewiring pre-existing older outlets, etc.) and Carlos let me know his crew would arrive at 8:10 a.m. on the scheduled work day. His full crew arrived before 8:10. I watched them operate as a fully integrated team. They immediately dispersed across different tasks. One of his crew working inside first laid out plastic along the walkways to protect our rugs and flooring. Each person on the team assigned to a task was working efficiently and it was all coordinated by Carlos on site who was also attending to our main panel clean up. Throughout the day as the team finished each task, they left the area cleaner than when they arrived.

When the team finished and were packed up ready to go, Carlos noticed an external flood light that was installed but not wired. He stayed behind with one member of his team to wire it correctly and even installed a motion detector to replace the daylight sensor that was previously installed. All of this happened at the low end of his quote and I cannot emphasize how happy I was with their work. I absolutely highly recommend Guerreros Electric. I know this is my first and only Yelp review but I felt compelled to sign up and leave this review based on the level of professional work we received.

Power went out in half our house.  I spoke to several electricians, but only Carlos walked me through checking my PGE Smart Meter.  After I told him what it said (which was nothing - it was blank) he said, You don't need me.  Call PGE.  I am stunned by his generosity, honesty and helpfulness - and he just became my go-to guy when I need some electrical work done.

Claims he can run new cable add new outlets. When I tell him it is an Ethernet cable / outlet I need he tells me he can't do the job. This job consists of nothing different from an running ordinary electrical cables except that they don't have to connect to anything, there is just one outlet to another outlet. If he would put the holes in the wall I could have run the cable and installed two outlets. Pathetic.

6 years later, I am still calling Carlos first.  This time he installed a car charger for us--and while he was there, fixed all sorts of other things.  He's really a gem.

If I could give Carlos 50 stars I would. He talked me through a potential freak out when I accidentally messed up something when removing a light fixture. He was calm and sweet on the phone and guided me through finding the right breaker and magically fixing it all. Apparently we had two breaker boxes. His calm demeanor was just what I needed. No more DIY electrics for me at least. And nice to know who to call when I need an electrician.

We were having problems with one of our old knob and tube circuits and no ground wire, so we decided to upgrade our electrical this year. Guerrero's disconnected all knob and tube, rewired with Romex, inspected some Romex that wasn't done quite right by a previous electrician, inspected our main panel, gave us a new subpanel, moved our dryer outlet, put in lots more receptacles and switches, some ceiling lighting, and installed all our new outdoor lights (LED). Most importantly they ran us new ground wires. We now have all new electrical in our house in Berkeley thanks to Carlos and his crew and we're very happy. Carlos really knows the Berkeley code (I wanted to meet code) which can be complicated. He worked closely with me on the best positioning for our recessed lighting in the living room, which was tricky because of the ceiling joists. His crew worked in our house opening up walls to run the Romex, up in our attic with blown in insulation, and down in our crawlspace. The guys were really nice and took good care of our house. And Carlos took good care of his crew, which is really important to me. [I've worked with contractors that do not treat their employees well.] I really liked working with Carlos and am happy to support a local business. Five stars!

I got shocked in my shower when I touched a faucet. Then my husband got shocked by the faucet while doing the dishes. This was at 6pm on Saturday night. I called Guerreros electric and Carlos picked up and immediately warned me to not touch anything metal, to wear rubber shoes, to cut the electricity to my home and to call PG&E for a faulty ground, which I did. Carlos informed me that my family was in danger and helped walk us through to safety. We are not even clients, just a random phone call on Saturday night. He followed through with text messages to ensure we were safe and following up with next steps. He is truly an incredible person and knowledgeable. I will call him after the earthquake when I can maybe afford to buy a home in my hometown.

I called them to inquire about updating the wiring in my detached garage, and I had an estimate later that same day, and they managed to fit the job into a gap in the schedule that same week.  My garage is now wired exactly as I want it for use as a work shop.  They even added some extra conduits between my house and the garage so I could pull network cable in the future without digging up my driveway again.

I just got a replacement hot tub delivered yesterday and because of my own mistake the electrician who usually installs them wouldn't be able to come around for a week.  I called Mr. Guerreros that afternoon and he was on my doorstep early this morning to bid the job.  He could have done it sooner than their guy and gave me a competitive price.  But in the mean time we heard back from the fellow who'd wired our original hot tub and he was able to stop by at lunch today and get it done.  Nice to know we've got an electrician as efficient and well loved (judging by YELP) as Carlos Guerreros in our neighborhood for in the future.  I'm keeping his number for next time.

I needed an electrician and when I called and spoke with Carlos, he understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a very reasonable quote and an appointment was made. Two days later, exactly as scheduled Service Techs Damien and Jessie arrived and worked respectfully of my property. The task was completed so professionally that I had them do an additional task. I needed an emergency service visit and found Guerrero's Electric on Angie's list.  I called the company on a Saturday, on behalf of my parents who live in the East Bay. My parents are older and quite vulnerable.  I come home to aid them with their transactions.  I live far away and was nervous about having a new servicer come to the house without being present to vet the company. I took a leap of faith and tried Guerrero's.  They were kind, respectful, trustworthy and professional.  They were also sensitive to working with older and disabled people.  I could tell by the cost and my father's report that Carlos, the electrician who came, would never take advantage of the elderly or anyone who is disenfranchised.  Finding services providers of this nature is invaluable to me.  I highly recommend their service and we will hire them for our next electrical repair or project.

Absolutely the best. Carlos is the rare fix it guy who is a true professional. He has done 4 or 5 different jobs for me from a simple breaker problem, to re-wiring a whole addition to my house. Everything is always done perfectly and on time.  Plus he's a really nice guy.

He is always a little more expensive than everyone else but I think he can afford to charge more because he is so good at what he does.

I have been reading the great reviews Guerreros Electric get for years.  A couple of times I have gotten quotes but they were a little higher so I went with other electricians.  Big mistake.  I always end up having to get something similar done in a couple of years.  This time I did get them to do the work and the quality of care and the knowledge was more than worth the little extra I paid than other quotes.  No comparison.  They ended up redoing a lot of the work I had done over the years and told me why I keep having trouble.  They showed me what they would do and why.  I feel so much safer and really appreciate the professionalism.  I don't really understand why other electricians didn't pick up on the problems because they seem so obvious to me after walking through everything.  Thank you Carlos and team.

Responded quickly to my evening e-mail after a power outage in about half the circuits in our old home, and then called me first thing in the morning to follow up.  Before coming out, he insisted that I check in with PGE first, talk to a live person and get an immediate service check to make sure the problem was on the home side and not the PGE side.  I was dubious, (how could the problem be on the PGE side when half my circuits still had power?) but I called, PGE came, wires were blown in their control box, they repaired it and problem solved. Thank you Carlos!

I had Carlos and his team install two ceiling fans and three track lights in my loft. Completed the work in the time-frame he committed to and to the estimate. They kept the space clean as they worked and cleaned up after themselves. I had a great experience and will use them again.

I would like to give Guerreros Electric my highest recommendation.  I have an older home which needed a lot of electrical updating.  We're talking really old wires, ungrounded outlets, no GFIs in the kitchen/bath, too many shared circuits, a high fire-risk subpanel (google Federal Pacific), etc.

I consulted with quite a few electricians and contractors whom various people recommended.  Carlos Guerrero quickly rose to the top of my list for the following reasons:

-He was the first to respond to my inquiry.  He returned my email the same day--many of the other contractors took 3-4 days to get back to me.

-He was quick to set up an appointment for a walk-through of the house, despite his busy schedule.  He came directly after a job on the same day we first corresponded.  He was punctual, very professional, and also seemed very genuine.

-He produced an itemized quote immediately (also on the same day we first corresponded!).  I thought this was especially impressive given that I had contractors who balked at itemizing quotes (they wanted to just give one number for the whole job), and other contractors who had to have 2-4 business days to return quotes.

-He is really knowledgeable and can clearly explain electrical work to someone who doesn't know the first thing about wires, etc.  He was remarkably patient and courteous with questions, and answered my many questions thoroughly over both phone and email.  I talked to quite a few other electricians who ended up confusing me greatly with overly technical terminology.

-He is a licensed electrician and knows how to do everything to code.  That said, he also knows how to work on a budget and will be very up front with you on what is important to do right away for safety reasons, and what can wait until later.  His prioritizing really helped me hone in to the truly necessary items for my job.

-He came up with some really brilliant solutions and recommendations for the quirky and messy problems that my old house presented.  He was very knowledgeable of energy efficient products and I feel that that knowledge has already translated into lower electric bills for me.

-And amazingly, his prices were the best of all the people I interviewed.  I think that contractors who hire out to an electrician automatically add a markup to the electrician's pricing, so it's more afforadable for the consumer to go through an electrician directly.  After I interviewed many people for my job, I came to the conclusion that Carlos is really honest with his pricing.

-Carlos and his great two-person crew finished the job easily within the very short time frame quoted and slightly under the estimated price!

They also did some really kind extras for my job:

-They installed a light fixture that I had chosen, and when I didn't like the look of it with the house, they took it out and installed another one I chose instead.  The second fixture looked tremendously better.

-They checked every single one of the lighting fixtures in the house and didn't charge me for this even though it involved removing fixtures, cleaning out boxes, re-installing fixtures, etc.  I'm sure this took quite a bit of time.

-Carlos put a temporary 220 volt switch in my subpanel because I was getting some flooring repaired and the flooring people needed access to higher voltage to run their machines.

-The thing that I most appreciated was that because of all the re-wiring, they had to cut some holes in the walls.  They kept the number of holes at an absolute minimum.  They also cut the holes as very neat little rectangles and kept the pieces of drywall that they cut out.  At the end of the job, they screwed each rectangle back into place, which means that I can smooth some joint compound over the cracks and throw a quick coat of paint over--it has saved me so much time in patching holes myself.  The other electricians that I talked to said they would make holes, but wouldn't do any patching or painting whatsoever.

-And finally, Carlos said he would remain available for any questions I might have after the job, and he has remained true to that, even volunteering to come back out to the house to further explain things to me in person.

I am so impressed with Carlos and his team.  They have really gone above and beyond in every single aspect of their work.  I would strongly recommend anyone looking for an electrician to make use of his great services.  Given the large number of people I interviewed for this job, I would unhesitatingly say that Carlos is one of the best electricians in the East Bay Area.  You would be lucky to get him!

Last friday we awoke to find we'd lost power on a bunch of GFCI outlets all over our kitchen, including a master one that controlled some of the others but that couldn't be reset. I called Guerreros and they said they'd try to schedule us for middle of next week. Then a short time later I got a call from Carlos saying they'd unexpectedly finished up a job in less time than they thought it would take and they could come by in about 30 minutes. Done deal. They arrived, in short order figured out that the circuit breakers in the breaker box were mislabeled (which had confused me when I was trying to figure out what was going on) and corrected that. Then they replaced the GFCI outlet that couldn't be reset, and Voila! Everything worked. All in less than an hour. Nice people, seem like they really know what they're doing. They're the first ones I'm calling if we have other electrical problems. Five stars.

This is the first time I've been inspired to write a review on yelp - a token of thanks, having found Guerreros here. Carlos and his crew did first-rate work and were super nice, all on a challenging job. They set the bar very high for everybody.

As a Realtor, it's important that I surround myself with smart and reliable contratcors and subcontractors and that is exactly why I refer to Carlos. He knows electrical and he is trustworthy. He will give you options and will tell you what needs to be repaired or replaced and will try and save you money as well. I met him years ago at a volunteer project for Rebuilding Together in Berkeley and have been using him ever since.

Carlos at Guerreros Electric is fair and prompt. I had an issue where one of my electrical outlets in my kitchen shorted and caused sparks and a burning smell as a result of poor wiring. I called Carlos on a Friday night, and unexpectedly he answered the phone and advised me to shut the power off to those outlets immediately for our safety. He came the next day to fix the problem in less than an hour and charged us a fair rate.

I had a circuit blow out in the house's electrical panel...Carlos came out right away and fixed it. I cannot thank him enough, as I had no power at the back of the house.

A furnace stopped working and I called a HVAC company. They examined it, replaced a part, and couldn't get it to fire up. That pointed to an electrical issue. I called Carlos based on Yelp reviews and he immediately answered. He was able to come that day, and arrived exactly when he'd promised he would. After some investigation he found the issue (not easy: old house, odd wiring) and fixed it. Ahhh, heat! Responsive, reliable, and reasonable. What more can you ask?

I called them for a small job and Carlos sounded disinterested in coming out to our house.  He said that the general price for it $350 and would rather just go on that.  Since there were other potential complications I insisted on an in-person estimate (lest the price be exorbitantly higher after the job was done).  He came, but again exhibited disinterest and actually had the nerve to dole out put-downs about the construction of our house!

His estimate for the work that needed to be done: $870  -- he actually wanted to charge us $80 to troubleshoot, not even fix, a problematic outlet.

Without a doubt, Guerreros Electric is the BEST electrician in the Bay area.  Carlos and his crew rewired our entire two story house in Berkeley in only one week.  They are super fast, professional, totally responsive, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced.  They anticipate everything about a project and get the job done.  I rank them in the top 1% of any business that I have ever dealt with.  I rarely write reviews, but Guerreros Electric inspired me to share my truly excellent experience.

Carlos Guerrero and his crew were smart, nice, efficient and extremely thorough. I had an electrical mystery, with a short circuit somewhere that cut off power to half the house. I unplugged everything and found the light switch that was causing the breaker to shut off. However, it was Carlos and crew who traced the line to an old outside conduit we never used (which made sense since it coincided with the rain). They turned it off and also installed some GFCI outlets, all for an extremely reasonable rate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I needed substantial re-wiring and needed it fast. I contacted several local electricians. Carlos was the most responsive, the most thorough in investigating the scope of the project, and the most helpful in explaining things. He was clear and never condescending; he was reassuring instead of alarmist.  Carlos hired extra help to meet my challenging schedule. He and his crew showed up on time, got the work done on time, and were meticulous in keeping things cleaned up.  He was a pleasure to work with and I was entirely satisfied. I will call on Guerreros Electric for any future electrical needs.

I had two major electrical projects that Carlos & Guerreros Electric helped me with. I'll do them in two reviews. First, he bid on a full house rewire for me. I have a 1940's little bungalo with knob and tube and glass fuses. He replaced 100% of the wiring with romex, replaced all electrical receptacles with modern Title24 compliant ones, had GFCI in kitchens and bathrooms and even installed all new exterior lighting for us, new LED  kitchen cans, two exterior plugs, a new service and subpanel in the garage.  It was a big job, the whole house electrical with upgrades. He had availability and came within 1 week of accepting the bid. His guys showed up at 7am each morning and worked tirelessly for about a week. He worked while we were in the house...so we didn't have to vacate. We have an indoor cat and he worked around that, being sensitive to not let her out, and working in a orderly plan to keep at least one room in the house available for her. We saw steady progress every day, with one room being fully done. We had power throughout the build, so we could live our lives like usual. Carlos worked with us to be code compliant, because I wanted that...but he's also reasonable with older homes. He installed all kinds of gadgets, like light switches that turn the lights off after you leave the room, daytime sensor for outdoor lights to turn them off during the day, and even a humidity detector for the bathroom fan. He suggested a new low noise, high CFM bathroom fan and installed it for cost alone. It's so quiet and LED lit, so our power bill is much lower for all the title24 and modern code upgrades. Carlos is a good listener. He did a walk through with us before starting and we rattled off ideas and options and plans. He didn't take notes. When he sent us the quote, I was amazed that he remembered 4 pages of stuff and had it all in the quote exactly like we discussed. I paid Guerrerros electric in 3 payments, when stages of the work were complete. The work was top notch. I even have been rooting around in the attic and got to see the way the guys routed the wires intelligently and safely out of the way. Okay, that's the good. The bad: My quote didn't include cleanup work on the walls. This was explained up front, so not a suprise. I figured it would be cheaper and I wouldn't be paying electricians for plastering work. They did their best, but I still ended up with 24 holes in the house. I had to do plastering in all rooms of the house and repaint everything. Kind of a pain when you already spent $25k on the job. But it was a big job. Work moved quick, but sometimes too quick. There were requirements like that I get the insulation out of the attic and I found myself having to get some attic people out ASAP or the project couldn't continue. I guess this happens when you kind of act like your own general contractor, but we felt rushed to get the lights picked out and line everything up for the electricians to do the work. Overall, though, I think this pace kept the project on track and finished on time. Just warning folks to be prepared to be invested in the job, drop everything and get things done when they need it or you have 5 electricians with nothing to do. Compared with some Bay Area contractors who won't even return the call, Carlos replied by text, email, phone, etc within 2 days and got the job done expertly and on budget. I can't complain. I would recommend Guerreros Electric to anyone.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Guerrero's to anyone, anytime.  Carlos's work was very professionally done, priced right, and done timely, and they didn't try to run up the bill.  I'll definitely be calling him again.

Carlos and his team did exceptional work redoing our wiring in our kitchen and installing new lights and outlets. He also cleaned up our electric box that wasn't wired properly and labeled all of the switches without us even having to ask. He was very flexible with working with our schedule and went above and beyond to help us out.

Had Carlos back, to install an EV car charger this time.  He came the next day after I called.  Again, he did an excellent job.  Professional, smart, on time, everything done right.  Still highly recommended.

So our electricity went out on a friday (ironically Edison's birthday) and we have a total unresponsive landlord so by Saturday I started calling around for an electrician.  I called a few other places before Guerreros and I got some pretty rude guys who acted like I was a bother to them.  Hey, I thought electricians were supposed to help you when your lights go out.  Saturday I called Guerroeros.  He was so nice and patient with me.  First he tried to walk me through fixing it myself and with then suggested I pursue reaching my landlord before having him come out.  With no luck I asked him to come out and he did so the next morning on a Sunday.  In no time he fixed everything for a third of what others were quoting me.  Plus he told us exactly what happened and gave us advice to avoid another outage. For sure call him for any of your electrical needs!

Carlos was great to work with, very easy going, answered every question I had, did the job super quick, and, no kidding, was 80% cheaper than the first quote I had to do the job. Amazing.

I rarely write reviews, but I just called this company because I blew some fuse in my new apartment. It's Saturday morning and I got a call back within 15 minutes. The guy talked to me for 10 minutes and helped walk me through fixing the problem myself. He said I should give it a shot before paying him to come out. He was so nice and understanding. I managed to fix the issue on my own, but if I ever need an electrician in the future I'm calling Guerreros!!

I like do to as much of our renovations myself as I can, but there are plenty of projects that lie outside my confidence. When they come up, I look to Yelp to search out really good local skill. Guerrero's is one of those great finds.

I contacted Carlos to install a sub-panel to support the new circuits I was adding for our kitchen remodel. He came out the next day, gave me a very reasonable quote and chatted with me about the wiring I was planning. A few weeks later (my schedule) they installed the panel, took a look at the work I'd done, and made a few suggestions. Between the time of the quote and the work, I'd discovered that the 240v stove circuit had been totally messed up (by a guy who is, thankfully and not surprisingly, now out of business - this was pre-Yelp, of course). Carlos replaced the circuit for a nominal charge (about a third what the first guy charged to do it wrong). He also offered to be on hand for the inspection, but I knew how packed his schedule was and I was so confident of the work, I decided to handle the inspection right along with the one for the electrical that I'd done. My confidence in Guerreros was fully warranted, the inspection went off without a hitch. They worked quickly, on budget, and provided those little touches that promise a great, long-lasting relationship. I already have a couple of projects in mind for them.

My wife and I just finished a full kitchen remodel and used Guerreros Electric. A friend recommended him to me so we gave him a call. I had a contractor but I was essentially my own general and managed all the subs. There were several delays that were out of all parties control (generally on the supply side) so the project took several weeks longer than first anticipated. From the beginning to the end Carlos was timely, polite, knowledgeable, professional, clean, and accommodating.  His time and budget estimates were accurate. His crew was extremely prompt and efficient - I couldn't believe it.

One of his crew came out to the job site the Friday before the Monday they were going to start to review the plans and roughed out walls. The team shows up the next Monday AM to get started and he knew the plans inside and out and could recite the entire project from memory (accurately). Carlos showed up for all inspections personally and even helped my young contractors out in the process. I would use Carlos again in the future in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone.

Carlos and his team showed up on time and finished on time. He replaced all of the old knob and tube wiring in the house, and came in on-budget, despite several of the  'surprises' that always crop up whenever anybody opens up the plaster/drywall in our 100 year old craftsman home.

Carlos explained everything as he went along, and his crew upgraded a lot of the electrical items around the house that weren't even mentioned in the original bid.

I just want to thank Guerreros Electric for their help last week. During a big rain storm, something happened to my electricity and I thought it was the old wiring in my 1937 cottage finally going. It was after 7 pm on a Friday, my husband and son were out of town, and so I called Guerreros Electric for help --I had never used them, but decided to call them because of   many 5 star ratings  and glowing reviews.  I was leaving a long, freaked out message on their answering service, when someone there picked up and told that I needed to call PG&E immediately because the problem was with the wiring going into the house. He told me exactly what to tell PG&E and then gave me instructions about what to do and not do until the repairperson got there. He also told me to tell PG&E that I had talked to an electrician about this and that the problem was urgent.  Well, I hung up and did exactly what he told me to do.  It took four hours for PG&E to get to me, but his diagnosis was exactly right. I am so grateful for the help Guerreros Electric gave me for free, out of the goodness of their hearts, and the next time I need an electrician, I will call them.  Thank you so much Guerreros Electric for being there when I needed  help!

These guys are the best!  I had an emergency electrical problem (power surge) that blew out my cable box.  I called Carlos and he was at my home with an assistant inside of 2 hours.  He surveyed the damage, and did a variety of trouble-shooting tasks, and eventually discovered some faulty wiring in my breaker box, that they fixed.  I would call these guys any time. Carlos is professional, efficient and pragmatic.  We purchased an older home in the Oakland Hills that has a combination of knob and tube wiring as well as updated wiring.  Removing the knob and tube wiring was impractical for cost and aesthetic reasons.  Carlos worked with us to develop a plan to replace/upgrade a subpanel and replace/reconfigure the breakers to make the home safe.  He also helped us go through the home and identify other safety issues which he was able to address at the same time.  Plus, as others have mentioned, Carlos is friendly and very easy to work with. I highly recommend him.

I had Guerreros Electric come out to perform some fairly substantial electrical work on my house (old wiring, etc.).   He gave a realistic assessment of what needed to be done and a very competitive estimate.  Carlos did an excellent job, making sure to correct all the issues and went the extra mile several times to make sure everything was done properly (and safely).  Also, the job was completed in a timely and tidy manner!

Guerreros Electric is great!  We had them do some major work in our house - Carlos made sure things were done correctly and on time.  

When we reviewed the work, there was one small thing that got missed.  Carlos immediately apologized, and resolved the issue.  With a project as large as ours, there was bound to be something that got missed - what I like is that Carlos immediately took ownership, resolved the issue, and made sure that we were satisfied.

Carlos is very responsive when we first call him.  He asked me to send him the picture of the track light and came respond back quickly.   My track light wasn't working when we brought the loft.   We didn't know how it was switch on or off.    It was a mess.

The lights are on and we've been saved from electrical explosion.  We bought a house with wiring that was far away from being up to code.  Unfortunately, the city signed off on the work and we bought the house knowing we would have to hire an electrician to bring our main and sub electrical panels up to code so in case of a lightening strike we wouldn't get incinerated.  I found Guerreros Electric and Carlos through Yelp.  Carlos came after regular business hours, in the rain, to look at our electrical disaster and informed me what he would do and why how it was done was incorrect.  We were able to schedule an appointment in a reasonable time.  There was a small incident with the inspector who just happened to come by and find out if our work was permitted. Carlos handled the situation professionally and did what he could to make sure he made the repairs safely, in a cost effective manner, and legally.  Carlos and his team are very thorough and explained and showed me the work as it was being done and when it was completed.  I appreciate the great service and work done to make our home safe.

Guerreros Electric was the second electrician I called and when I called they answered the phone.  I had a small job regarding a light in the ceiling of an Emeryville condo not working and they got to the unit in 20 minutes.  They fixed the problem right away and just charged the standard amount for them to come problem solve, and gave me the 10% discount for saying I got their name from Yelp.  For the first electrician I called, I left them a voice message around 2pm and only got a call back from them at around 8pm.  I would definitely go back to Guerreros Electric with my electric problems again.  Thank you Carlos!  He was so nice and did an excellent job.  I would rate them an A+ for how quickly they got here, how quickly they fixed the issue, fair pricing, and great personality.

I'm impressed with Guerreros Electric and will choose them for my next home electrical job or remodel. I called Guerreros based on the great Yelp reviews to install some outside outlets and a bathroom fixture, heater/fan, and switches. Carlos responded in a timely manner, gave me a competitive quote, and helped me think through some of the considerations for my small project. He brought his crew out the following week and was there personally to oversee it all. Carlos checked in when needed to ensure they got everything right. They left things clean, were accomodating, and did a professional job. Carlos even flagged some wiring issues with our 1940s house and panel to consider when we remodel and fixed a safety/grounding problem that he found. Definitely a good guy and company to work with and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I wanted him to come over to fix one of my bathroom circuits, but he was able to diagnose and resolve the problem (a short) over the phone by walking me through a few procedures. I discovered Guerreros Electric through Yelp and I would like to contribute to and confirm all of the excellent reviews that are posted.  Mr. Guerreros was very knowledgeable and willing to wait while I purchased the better switch for replacement.  He also answered our many questions about how to re-wire our old table lamps properly (my husband is a do-it-your-selfer) and assessed a few other outlets in our home.  Mr. Guerreros is an extremely nice guy who is knowledgeable, honest and reasonable!  We will now use him for all of our electrical needs!

Carlos rewired my entire house in Martinez. It is old and the electrical was actually dangerous. I am very happy with the work and the convenience of many new outlets and expanded lighting. Carlos and crew did a very clean job. Carlos gave me a very fair price; he was easy to work with; a good communicator; reliable; and did the work quickly.

Had Carlos rewire our entire 1930's home - him and his crew were great and did one of the best finish jobs of all the contractors we hired (everything was put in cleanly and any sawdust, etc was cleaned up entirely) - he was prompt (even worked Saturdays with his son when we had city inspection coming on Monday) and stayed within his estimate. Carlos was a pleasure to work with throughout the process and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if we ever needed an electrician again - although 2yrs after the job we haven't had a single issue with the electrical. Other electricians wouldn't even come out to our house because they didn't want to deal with the permit office in our city - but Carlos was great and always professional - he worked with the office and got everything done within the time frame he originally quoted us.

I just called Guerreros Electric and got Carlos directly, which was a breath of fresh air after calling 2 other companies and leaving msgs....one two days ago.   I explained that I had overloaded a circuit in the garage and couldn't get electricity back in the garage.   When I flip the circuit breaker on, it just flips off.   He walked me through it on the phone and told me I have to flip the switch further off until I hear a click before flipping on again.  It worked and electricity in the garage is back on.   I then asked if he thinks I should get another electric box in the garage since I have everything going to one switch.   He basically said that if it only happened once and if I don't have to use all that I was using at the same time, I'm probably fine.   Now how good is that.   Taught me how to deal with the circuit breaker and talked me out of spending money for now as it doesn't seem necessary.   Great guy.  I will definitely be calling again when I have some real electrical work!!

Echoing how great Carlos and his guys are. I'm in a circa '37 house with equally old wiring. I called first thing on  MLK day when I discovered my kitchen ceiling light wouldnt go on the nite before after swapping out all the bulbs for others. Carlos told me up front the cost of trouble-shooting & that often problems are taken care of within that first hour. He scheduled me in that mid-afternoon. Before he arrived I discovered I had mistakenly pulled the hanging string of the light in question and cut-off the power, duh...blonde moment. But,,, the double switch was funky and hanging from the wall & I had several other funky outlets and switches. Carlos and his great guys were prompt and super efficient. Not only did he fix all the switches/outlets but he installed a new kitchen outlet  for my microwave so I dont have to keep blowing fuses and unsafely using 30 amp ones, and replaced several ungrounded outlets with gfci outlets. All this was done under 2 hours. The price for all the work was totally fair. I highly recommend these fellows, any time. Having a blonde moment was a good thing!.
