Well done all around. Scheduling was professional, prompt and courteous as were all follow up communications with the office. The estimator was polite, informative, listened well and the estimate was reasonable. No attempt to up-sell. Once I accepted the estimate, i was able to get an appointment within the same week. The two electricians, Josh and Daniel, who did the work were great! Super courteous, on-time, worked well together, stayed focused and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. They were very mindful of keeping my office tidy - plastic sheeting on furniture and tidying up after completing the job. I was happy with the final walk through with unprompted instructions on how to use everything and confirmation that everything was working. Would definitely hire again!

This company sucks. They keep sending me an invoice for a dispatch fee but I have asked multiple times to get back to me about waiving it since I have done business with them before. They keep telling me they have to talk to the owner and get back to me but they never do, they just keep sending more invoices. They didn't send any confirmation or reminders or en route messages for the dispatch, otherwise I would have canceled. I have the texts from last time but not this time so I believe this is their fault! Now I try to call them, and I cannot connect to the number. I have been trying all day. Very unprofessional, only attentive when wanting money but not responsive for any other reason.

Had an oven unit that stopped working. I suspected an electric problem and wanted to rule things out before calling in an appliance repair company. Very friendly technician who was sweet to my barky dog. Olvin explained stuff along the way and answered a few out of scope question for an unrelated project. Will hire again!

They did a great job for me and were thoughtful about the impact of choices for how to do the work and respectful of my home. They ran two new higher amperage circuits (for an electric stove and A/C mini-split), added a GFR bathroom receptacle, upgraded my sub panel, and changed out a light fixture. There was something tricky about every part of the job, and they kept me informed throughout -- overall great communication. They sent four electricians who got everything done in parallel, and the place was patched and tidied up after one 7-hour day! Kudos!

I had a weird and alarming series of electrical problems that turned out to be caused by the electrical service into my home being overloaded. Olvin was extremely helpful through what turned out to be a long process, due to waiting for PGE to schedule a time for the service upgrade. In the meantime, Olvin did a couple of short-term fixes and checked in with me regularly. His evident experience and knowledge were reassuring during a highly stressful time, although he was careful to lay things out so that I knew both the best case and worst case scenarios. And now that it's done, I feel confident that the work was done well.

Put out a service request and they were the most responsive of about the 8 electricians my request was sent to. Their scheduler worked with me and my ever changing schedule. You get a message when the electrician is on the way to your evaluation but it took over 1.5 hrs from the time I got the message to when he came so maybe he was coming from really far. Assessor was professional and answered the questions. The only thing was at the end I asked if he could email me the assessment because this was for an inspection I had to pass and he said he did, but good thing I checked my email because I didn't get it. I had to run out of the house and catch him while he was still in the car and ask him to email me evaluation before he left.

First of all, most importantly, I have to say that WireTech Electric did an excellent job. I was having electrical fits and starts in one part of my condominium apartment. (Each unit has a separate electrical connection and meter.) Of course, I checked the circuit breaker for that area. It had not kicked off even though the problem persisted. I gave up and shut off the power to that area, the bedroom and bathroom.
Next, based on prior reviews for WireTech, I gave them a call. They sent out their estimator the next day, who told me, not a big surprise, that because our building, and my unit's power center were 50 years old and sort of dangerously not up to code, they couldn't do the required work without replacing the entire power center (all the breakers and the box). He also gave me an estimate that was certainly more than I had imagined when I first called, but entirely reasonable once I understood the extent of the work that had to be done.
It was a week before they could do the work, so I had to live that time without lights or outlets in the bedroom and bathroom. I managed.
When the electrician arrived, on schedule and with all the required tools and equipment, he did the job very efficiently and in good spirits. All wrapped up and he was on his way.
Everyone I dealt with at WireTech was helpful, polite, positive and forthcoming.

I hired Wire Tech Electric to install new LED lights, electrical conduits and new outlets in my industrial warehouse. I was impressed with the whole job, from the estimate, communication, promptness, competency of the crew, and overall quality and craftmanship of the job. This cost about $6,000 and we are very happy with the work. The conduit was installed very solid which I appreciate. Nice job and I will let you guys know if we need any more electrical upgrades.

Our condo had a failed in-wall heater which turns out that no HVAC company wants to service so we the route of electricians. Wire Tech front and back office services impressed. Olvin showed up on time and gave text updates on his arrival time. His quote was professional submitted and fair. Exceptional Service. Amazing!

I needed an Emergency Electrical Panel replacement in Oakland recently and this company was ready to help.

A tree fell and took out the electric over the weekend.

I called a number of electrical companies that advertised emergency services and Wire Tech was the only one who could give me information over the phone on the weekend.

They were up front and communicative about every aspect of the complicated job of organizing PG&E and the city inspections and they got the job done as soon as possible. Since PG&E could not re-hook up the electricity during the entire one week process it was very appreciated.

The price was reasonable, and they were extremely helpful talking to my insurance company.

They have become my go to for electrical work. I have used multiple others and they have been disappointing or not have done a complete job by just satisfying the need in the surface and leaving a bigger problem covered up only to cost me more money later. This company is not like that. They have actually fixed others bad work. They are not always the cheapest but I know it will be fine right and that makes it worth it.

Thank you, Olvin, and crew (Josh and Daniel) for rewiring my 1947 home and upgrading the electrical panel. All of the old wiring including the knob and tube is gone! No more glass fuses! The new electrical panel is able to accommodate our electrical needs for years to come and my home feels safer!
I spoke to Brenda at Wire Tech who scheduled an estimate for the next day. Olvin arrived on time, walked through the house, and clearly explained the process of rewiring and the estimated timeline. The quote was received via email the next day. Communication with Olvin was easy and prompt either by text or phone. Every morning I received a text alerting me to the crew's expected arrival time. Josh and Daniel, both very kind, respectable, and polite, would inform me of their planned area of work. All floors were protected with paper and furniture was covered with plastic as they moved from room to room. Every work area was cleaned up at the end of the day.

My old house doesn't have all of the wiring needs for the modern age (even after being re-wired last year), and Wire Tech Electric was able to set up dishwasher and garbage disposal outlets (with dedicated circuits), an outdoor outlet (with dedicated circuit so we can run all the power tools we want), and a new 3-way switch in the dining room so we don't have to run through the dark to turn off the light at night. It's a small house, but it's so easy to stub your toes in the dark.

Juan and Jose worked quickly and efficiently and I appreciated their attention to detail. Outside of the high quality work (everything looks fantastic and most importantly, works!) really great job in keeping the floors covered and cleaning up at the end. They asked questions throughout the project to ensure I understood how things were going to look/behave. This was key! It seems like right now it's easy to find service providers that don't bring that level of detail to the work because there's a lot of work to be had.

Pricing was reasonable (I got several quotes), they showed up on time, and it was easy to schedule with Olvin. The invoice was detailed and it was simple to set up payment!

100 bonus points for the tagline too.

We needed some electrical works for the new house. I contacted Wire Tech Electric after reading good reviews. Olvin set a free consultation appointment to see and evaluate the job. He was on time. We went over the items one by one and he explained how the will be done. Big like to his communication skill.
The itemized estimate was emailed the day after and the appointment was set for the weekend. I like that they charge per task not per hour which i think it is a better business model.
Two technicians (Juan and Yubani) showed up on time. Juan was communicating very well with attention to detail. We talked about each tasks in details. It wasn't like let's just do it.
We were very satisfied with the quality of work. They did it in a very clean way. The covered everywhere. They vacuumed at the end.
I would contact them again in the future.

Very happy with the work from Wire Tech Electric. Olvin and his crew were prompt, efficient, and super nice. Olvin was really great at communicating about our project and their pricing was really competitive.

We did significant electrical work to our 110 year old home in Oakland. Wire Tech did a complete re-wiring of most of our home to remove remnants of old knob & tube and bring everything up to code. They also replaced our main electrical panel and installed a 2nd meter for a planned in-law unit. This required coordination with PG&E and Oakland building inspectors and everything went really smoothly. Cannot recommend Wire Tech enough - we will definitely be calling them next time we need electrical work.

When I initially reached out for a quote, Olvin was available for a free in-person consultation within days and was able to provide a detailed written cost estimate for the job. Once hired, I was pleased with how communicative he and his team were about scheduling and next steps. I was very impressed by the professionalism of Wire Tech Electric. Olvin called me and arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment for installing two digital timer switches to control our outside lights. We wanted to replace the old-style timer switches in big metal boxes that needed to be adjusted every few weeks to make the lights come on at sunset and off at dawn.

I chose the Honeywell Daysmart 7-Day In-Wall Digital Timer which is really simple to program for dusk-to-dawn. But the old timers had to be removed, wall opened up, old junction box adapted to accommodate the modern switch dimensions.

Olvin did everything quickly and even patched the wall openings around the new switches and then cleaned up the work area afterward. His price for the work and materials was very reasonable.

I'll call him again whenever I need a licensed electrician for a small or large job.

This is a long overdue review on Wire Tech Electric. Olvin and his team rewired our whole house and updated the main panel earlier this year. We initially received quotes from 4 companies, Wire Tech's proposal was not the cheapest one but we liked its thoroughness and also how Olvin was able to explain the jobs to be done. We were very pleased with the work. The team was efficient and friendly and left the house tidy every evening. Despite the scale of the project, my husband and I were both able work from home without bigger disruptions. There were a couple of glitches in communication during the work but they were resolved quickly with the team. I can highly recommend Wire Tech Electric for any project, big or small!

These reviews keep using the word professional, and I agree with them. Olvin was the only electrician that got back to me immediately. He was straight forward about his services and pricing, which I appreciate. His quote was fair and competitive.

When they came in to rewire and add a fan to my bathroom, they put down plastic, so none of the debris hit my carpet. Olvin and one of his assistants worked hard the whole time and did a great job. Super nice guys. I'm going to have him come back to do more work later in the year. He also made some excellent points about putting a massive chandelier in a tiny bathroom. I mean, I cried about it for a few days, but he was right. :)

I'd give him a call if I were you.

Oh, and they wore their masks the whole time. I didn't even have to talk to them about it. Professional.

Olvin and the Wire Tech crew delivered on my large project.

I've done a lot of big home projects but a full house re-wire and new 200 amp box was one of the most intimidating as I really don't know much at all about electric wiring. I got extensive bids from highly rated companies and these guys came low-middle of the pack there. However, I choose Olvin because of the knowledge and expertise offered were customer centric. Olvin took the time to listen, assess, and ultimately walk me through his recommendations and the whys behind them. Not a lot of the other crews did that and I personally think it's critical when taking on a big project.

What I loved:
* Thoughtful approach to the partnership
* Responsiveness
* Level of knowledge
* Willingness to ensure I was satisfied with the work
* Effort put into keep the space clean (which is no easy task give the type of job I had done)
* Human and caring element - I have a daughter and the crew took breaks during her nap time so that there was no noise. Was that in their best interest to make money by moving onto the next job ASAP... no! They did it anyways because it's what you do to treat people well.
* Effort to ensure all commitments were met
* No nickel-and-diming: even if that meant providing a free light fixture here or there
* Delivery of results

Opportunities to make things even better:
* Promptness - it wasn't a big issue but since I was WFH and in a ton of meetings last minute schedule changes caused me some stress.
* A bit more communication on the little details

In my mind 5 stars for a major electrical project isn't about everything going perfect. That's the nature of the beast... but Olvin stayed on top of it, drove results, and ultimately earned my trust.

I highly recommend Wire Tech Electric.

Olvin is very professional and has very focus service. The thing we like about him is no BS , no up-selling and gives right advice. Our previous electrician screwed up the job and all of our outside outlets were non functioning. Olvin and his team inspected and gave us right suggestions, fixed and made it working!

We contacted him again for recessed lighting installations in our home office, he was spot on in installing them and did much better job in terms of quality and time perspective. He even had his PPE,
and sanitizing station to maintain safety first.

I would definitely recommend him and will be calling him again for future projects!

We had a great experience with Wire Tech Electric. Olvin was very prompt with a response to our quote inquiry for ceiling fan and dimmer switch installation, and running and installing a new outlet to our kitchen island. He was able to set up a same week visit to give a quote and discuss options, and give a same day electronic quote with task breakdown, within hours. Once all was discussed with the quote and the agreement was made, a same week appointment was made. Olvin and his crew were very professional and respectful of our time and home. They were very cleanly, laying down plastic for easy cleanup and were in PPE throughout their time in our home. They talked me through all the steps of: tapping my home electric panel, creating a new 240volt line to my driveway, installing the 240V plug, and installing the EV charger itself. I'm glad I contracted with Wire Tech for replacement of my master and sub electrical panel! Olvin and his partner were great. They worked quickly, but with detail-oriented and methodical approach to identify systemic problems relating to my primary concern. They addressed these issues without a change order or raising the project estimate.

Not the best experience with respect to getting back to the customer. After I made verbal contact, scheduled an appointment and left both me and my husband's phone numbers they canceled our appointment and messaged us on Yelp instead of our personal phone numbers. Totally unacceptable. I understand that they had an emergency appointment and cannot make it to our house, things happen I get it but at least have the decency to properly contact a potential customer. Glad we didn't hire these guys.

Do not recommend. I was working with Olvin on putting together a quote to install some brace kits and hang some fans. After supplying a quote, I indicated to Olvin I would like to just have the brace kits installed (as $195 / fan seemed very expensive and I have installed these exact fans many many times). Despite confirming over the phone this would be possible, Olvin cancelled on me at the last minute. Olvin cited liability as a reason he couldn't install just the brace kits. I offered to provide a letter of indemnification which was rejected. I cannot recommend this Company based upon their willingness to mislead customers.

Olvin does very good work, quickly and clean. He is very knowledgeable about local inspectors, pg&e and up to date electrical codes. He is about mid priced and fair. You get really good work done at a fair price with permits and inspections. I would fully recommend this company to all my neighbors!

Prompt, professional, and reliable work. They are definitely knowledgeable on electrical work and state compliance. I had them correct some wiring issues that my handyman did incorrectly for some recessed lights. They fixed it quickly! My only concern is that they are on the pricey side IMHO. Will likely continue doing more projects with them.

5 Stars!!! We sought multiple quotes for our project that included installing two brand new sconces, swapping out two existing sconces, and installing a new plug behind our television. Wire Tech was a middle quote so I felt the pricing was fair. Importantly they also included patching in their scope, which was attractive to us so we didn't have to coordinate with more than one company and Wire Tech could manage end to end. Our home was built in 1930 so the project required some investigation and weighing of options. Olvin and his team were exceptional at presenting creative solutions given some of the tricky architectural details in our home. We are extremely pleased with the result and with the process from start to finish. If we have future projects, we intend to use them again! Thank you!

I worked with Olvin with Wire Tech Electrics put a new grounding wire and replace old receptacles for the entire house. Him and his crew did a great job!! Initially the work was 2 days work, however they were able to complete it in 1 full day instead. Olvin hit a home run with a very complicated light fixture. It evolved eight separate wires (which needed to be connected to the very old wiring on my house which was not designed for something this intricate...) and a large number of delicate blown glass pieces. This thing was an absolute pain to assemble and connect--but Olvin worked incredible magic. On top of that, he was so kind and pleasant to have around. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend!!

They performed the work at that time and even gave recommendations for how to avoid future problems with the outlet by changing the breaker. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. The work from Wire Tech Electric was superb from start to finish.

I had a Nema 14-50 installed. He quickly gave me a rough quote over the phone so I could decide if I wanted him to give me a detailed quote. After visiting the house, Olvin provided a very reasonable quote and asked many pertinent questions. He also took his time to answer all of my questions. While visiting my house he looked at the main panel and subpanel and carefully explained all of my options with prices.

He was very reasonable on his price and very knowledgeable. I agreed and he came out the next day right on time and stayed until the job was completed. Cleaned up after himself, repaired all of the drywall and had a perfect end result.

I will definitely use them in the future.

I hired these guys to do a difficult job of running electrical underneath the house that sits on a hill. The retaining walls were a extreme issue. They figured it out and did an excellent job! It seems sometimes contractors just throw crazy bids out there to see if they can get the business. This concept makes me uncomfortable.

I just had the pleasure of working with Olvin of Wire Tech Electric. Like so many other homeowners, I was having trouble getting a response from local electricians. Olvin responded quickly to my Yelp request and we set up an appointment the following day. He was able to provide a verbal quote on the spot that was within my budget. I wasn't about to let him get away. A few days later the work was done to perfection.

He provided helpful advice on the placement of the recessed lighting that he was installing and the results were great. His job site management was top notch. After all the cutting, drilling, and nailing was done and the dust settled, our kitchen was left as clean and tidy as when he arrived. After 30 years in sales and marketing, I admittedly have higher expectations of customer service than most people. Olvin's conscientiousness is exactly what you'd want from someone working in your home. Call him, hire him, you won't regret it.

Olvin helped us with installing a new 200 amps 120/240 volts single phase with new AFCI breakers, putting news ground wires from panel to main shut off water and gas service, installing 2 rigid conduit, new service wires, pulling new wiring for garage panel and garage sub panel. The work is professional and up to code. You might need to wait for awhile but once the job is done, you'll be at ease that your home is now safe. Olvin is knowledgeable and professional. I was having problems with some outlets/rooms losing power without the breakers tripping. I submitted multiple requests for estimates through Yelp, and Olvin got back to me quickly. Olvin first walked me through some trouble shooting over the phone (which temporarily fixed the issue) until he could come out (same day - huge plus) for an inspection. I ended up needing a new sub-panel and also wanted to install a dedicated outlet for my electric car. Olvin was incredibly professional, quick with his estimates, and a pleasure to work with. He and his team completed the work in ~4 hours and were helpful in answering all of my questions and making sure I understood the location of all of the new breakers and what they controlled. One of my outlets flashed/popped when I unplugged my coffee grinder last week. I wanted to have a licensed electrician check it out before using it. Wire Tech was able to squeeze me in on the same day. As soon as I scheduled the appointment, I received an auto-text message with the confirmation. WTE did reply to my general contractor request for troubleshooting a bathroom light switch very promptly, but another electrician contacted me just before they did and I did agree to have that technician come in.

Though ultimately WTE did not come in, I was very impressed with their professional demeanor and customer communication (in fact their cost estimate was 20% lower than their competitor). I think they would of done a solid job if they had appeared.

Searched through Yelp for Electrician to help with 2 small issues. Olvin responded quickly to yelp email and didn't quote price but said they would assess when they got on-site. The issues were relatively small so I wasn't concerned. Replaced one outlet for fixed price of $95 and then took approximately 30 min to troubleshoot problem with breaker---said there was a short coming from a connecting wire to outside. Charged me for 1 hour of work and I thought we were done. 2 weeks later sparks fly out of outlet in my office attached to same breaker. After a call, Olvin said they were working in the area and could stop by at the end of the day within the the next couple of days. He arrived as expected and after about 3 minutes upstairs at the outlet he said someone pulled to hard on the outlet and caused a short on the ground wire. (He was the last and only person to open that outlet). He handed me a piece of wire about 2 inches long and said all fixed, and sorry but I have to charge you for a service call - $95. Pretty sure he is the owner and didn't have to charge me. Personally, for 2-3 minutes worth of work, if this were my business and I was the last person to work on the outlet I would have repaired and walked away. Apparently that is not the case with Wire Tech. Paid him, although it all seemed pretty shady.....Won't be calling Wire Tech Electrical for future needs.

I recently had an after hours electrical emergency. I called several electricians and left messages with every one of them. Some called back and said that they were too busy, and some didn't call back at all. When I called Wire Tech, Olvin answered right away, and even though he couldn't come to my house that night, he referred me to another company that he thought might be able to help. This other electrician talked me through the problem, but they were all booked for the next several days. I then called Wire Tech again and made an appointment for the next morning.
Olvin came to the house the next morning, diagnosed the problem, and he and his crew did the work within a few days.
I recommend Olvin and Wire Tech Electric because 1) he answered my call after hours, 2) when he couldn't help me right away he referred me to a competitor, and 3) he scheduled the job promptly, finished quickly, and was very professional.

Olvin (owner of Wire Tech Electric) and his crew are fantastic!!.
Highly recommended to get any electric work done from these guys. We finished one project and are in-line for the next one (waiting for PG&E blessing).

Few key points to notice:

1) They showed up in Masks - worn properly... not as a necklace or not covering nose as I've seen with others.
2) Olvin treated our house with the care as if it was his own ... wore boot covers without me asking for it, brought with him painters plastic and floor coverings to cover the work area (in our case bedroom where panel is located). cleaned out the work space thoroughly afterwards.
3) They tried their best (and succeeded) to not open our wall and instead fish the wires to avoid cosmetic damage. All other bids we had received, everyone wanted to take the easiest (for them) route and open the wall. Many told me with a straight face that they won't even patch up (Forget painting) the wall damage.
4) Once done, Olvin walked me through the work performed, (new breaker) he also pointed out few things done incorrectly by our GC in the panel during last remodel and suggested remedies to correct it.
This was not part of the 'job' but he went above and beyond. I really appreciated it!

More than anything Olvin is always prompt with his communication - returning emails / calls / texts, I have never had a reason to complain about no-response.
This is especially important to us since not responding on time or at-all seems to be a standard operating procedure for almost all contractors here in the state of CA; especially in the east bay where demand is through the roof.

Bottom line - don't hesitate to ping Olvin for your electrical project.

Olvin and his team just installed six ceiling fans in our home. They completed this huge job for a reasonable price in excellent time. Perhaps most notably, when we realized that one of the fans was the wrong color, Olvin was willing to come back later to complete the install --for no additional charge. Olvin was physically present to do all of the wiring, and he even came back to our site later in the day just because his other job wrapped up early. Plus on the second day he finished the rest of the job himself, including disposal of as many ceiling fan boxes as he could fit in his truck. This was above and beyond. And he's great with communication, by text or email. I've never worked with a contractor this flexible, competent, and approachable. Give him a call!

After weeks of electrical problems in my house I called Wire Tech Electric. Wire Tech Electric came to my house and made the necessary recommendations to fix those problems. Among the recommendations was to update my panel completely since it was a very old panel with many old and disorganized cables and old breakers. Wire Tech explained to me step by step everything I had to do regarding permits and inspections with my city in order to complete this process in the fastest and safest way. Wire Tech was always very professional with every call, every visit, every conversation and every step of the process. Always on time or even 10 to 15 minutes early. The day the panel upgrade was completed it was done in a safe, orderly, clean and fast way. I like the fact that they respond to your requests in a timely fashion. However, the quote they provide is expensive as compared to others in the market. Their standard response on why their price is high is we do a professional thorough job and use high quality materials.
