I cannot say enough how pleased I was with the services! Shawn is professional and skilled. He goes above and beyond to help his customers. I have already given glowing reviews about this company to my neighbors and will continue to do so. Great work. Decent prices. Dedication to customer service. You don't find that often enough these days but this company does it!

I put in my own Septic ...and
I put in my own water Well ( dug with a backhoe 16 ft down)
For a remote property.
Who are they:
They sell water, sewer and drain products
Cast iron , abs, hdpe, copper, aluminum.
Why would a home owner need them.
If you are a do it yourselfer! That's why!
Paying a contractor, an engineer, etc to put in a septic could cost 15-25,000 in anchorage.
F()k that!
I was off the grid.
But wanted a legit septic.
Core and main sells schedule 40 plumbing pipe.
French drainpipe. Manhole covers...
I picked up 10' pipe
90-45 degree fittings
Splices , valves, t's, caps and glue.
Geo textile fabric to keep dirt from my French drain to keep my property dry
The best part.
I wanted a 20' section of hdpe for a well.
Holy Moses. This stuff is like gold in
Alaska.
It's a thousand dollars plus...and is sold like hot cakes.
Road construction sucks it up.
I wanted 36 or 48
Hard to acquire sizes.
Ferguson..... special order.
Another place..... special order.
I'm not totally sure who the main customers are here .
Subdivision creators?
The state?
Cities?
They were so accommodating to this small ( not to me) customer.
Helped me load, smiled , asked questions.
Answered questions.
I was incredibly surprised this low overhead, outdoor lot , construction focused , PROFESSIONAL, outfit.
Held me by the hand and
Sold me what I needed...,NOT what I asked for !
My review scratches the surface.
They sell
From what I can tell.
Anything for your business.
Where the utility stops.
From hospital to home built cabin in the woods
With 10 star customer service.

I was a customer of Alpine's, not a disgruntled employee, and I too was charged more than what I was originally told. I had backwash charges applied to my invoice and charged to my credit card before they ever discussed the situation with me. In fact, I had to call them myself to inquire upon noticing the overcharge. I was very adamant in telling them a few times to please call me if there are ANY issues. Yet, nobody called. I had an appointment scheduled for three weeks and they couldn't even give me an actual appointment time so that I could make sure I was there. Instead they called me the day before and insisted they needed to reschedule my appointment. I refused to reschedule as I had made my appointment three weeks back. They said they would get it taken care of but still couldn't give me an appointment time. Then when they overcharge me they say, Well, you should have been there.. and that I'm basically SOL. What kind of customer service is that?? They said I was told about potential backwash charges but I had called around the valley getting quotes and I took very good notes. Backwash charges were not discussed with me by anyone!
My main complaint is that they placed unauthorized charges on my credit card for a higher amount than I was aware of and they did so without even the courtesy of a phone call. They should be ashamed as I would call this dishonest business practice.
In the end they completely refused to work with me in resolving our disagreement and Tom, the owner, hung up on me.

My parents (both in their 70s) purchased a new on-demand water heater 2 years ago for a little over $10,000 from Mountain Mechanical for their home. One year after it was installed it stopped working and took over a week and half for them to get it working. They did not charge because it was within a month of the warranty. But now after only 2 years it stopped working again but this time they were charged over $700 to repair it. I highly suggest people do their research when selecting a business. These systems are supposed to last over ten years so this seems ridiculous. I would definitely not recommend Mountain Mechanical.

Zero sense of urgency - no call back and no response for four days, then a message saying it would be four more days until he could come look at a running sump pump. Nope, clearly doesn't matter to him, so I'll work with a business that shows interest in my business.

If there was any way to give more stars, I most definitely would.
My house was 59 degrees Sunday morning. After contacting 3 or 4 plumbers, to no avail, I found 24hr Arctic Services. Seeing a 5-star rating I decided to call them. They came over around 1 p.m. I have a Knight high efficiency boiler. (Which I do NOT recommend. Way too complicated even for the pros.) The boiler kept locking out no matter what they did. JD, the owner, drove in from the Valley to assess the situation. He had the technician, Jerry (great guy) stay and keep resetting the boiler so I could get some heat. They were here for several hours diagnosing the problem. They weren't charging me for the standby time. They got the boiler up and running at least enough to get my house back up to a reasonable temperature, even though still chilly. It was finally determined that new sensors were needed. Of course the only places to get these sensors were closed on Sunday we would have experience a cold night. But this was in no way their fault. (Crappy boiler. Don't buy a Knight). JD went home and researched the issue on the internet. He said there were only 2 known internet blogs that related to the issues we were having. Monday morning JD tried to contact the manufacturer, but to no avail. They were closed for the holidays. He contacted the local sensor reps and had a lengthy discussion about the problem. They all agreed instead of replacing the motherboard (about $800), new sensors would probably fix the problem. The sensors cost about $30 apiece. JD installed the new sensors and boiler was back up and running.
Now the biggest reasons for the 5 stars. As I said earlier, they were here a long time. Not all hours were billed at time and half. Or billed at all. They were much more concerned of solving the conundrum than nickel and diming me to death for standby time. JD actually loved the challenge of trying to fix the problem more than the money itself. They did not abandon me!!!! I am completely satisfied and understand that they did all they could do on Sunday night. Not their fault they couldn't fix it, though they tried like the dickens to.
I have had contact with numerous, numerous plumbing firms over the years, both professionally and unfortunately personally too. I do not say this lightly, BY FAR AWAY, THE ABSOLUTE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. PLUMBER OR NOT!!! THEY ACTUALLY CARED!!!

Called to have a bathroom faucet replaced. Plumber spent less than an hour making the switch. We provided the faucet. Not sure why it cost $350 for an hours worth of work. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS THEY GLADLY RIPOFF PEOPLE. Just check their google reviews.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. Very satisfied with the installation, explanation of how to use our new whole house humidifier, and the manner with which these guys conducted their business. Would recommend!

We have used Extreme several times before and recently used them again for issues with our water heater. They were booked up but said they would get out as soon as possible to look at it. Matt, one of the technicians came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He found some other valid issues, offered some suggestions while he was there. He was awesome and took care of them right then. He ordered a new water heater and Tyler came out two days early to install it. These guys are great and really know their stuff. Like Matt, Tyler was friendly, professional and meticulous. He got us up and running in no time and the bill was very fair. We highly recommend these folks to anyone who wants great service or repair to their heating, air conditioning or plumbing issues.

Agree with Kelly...my husband called to have them come out and do a quote and they were very rude and said they would also charge us travel time from the last job the tech was at to when they got to our home? Very unprofessional. On a lighter note, there are some great ones in town to deal with that are super professional.
