After 20+ years living, working and raising my family in the "Valley of the Sun" and as a fellow Phoenician I am particularly cognizant of the unique challenges that Arizona poses such as climate, terrain, and a diverse pest and wildlife population.
As a husband and father of two, I am hyper vigilant concerning the comfort and safety of my family.
At the age of 19, I embarked on a career in the pest management industry. Becoming certified and licensed by the State of Arizona to provide solutions for termites, I eventually broadened my license into several more categories including pest control and weed control. Initially a field technician, I was promoted to sales inspector - ultimately becoming the General Manager of one of Arizona's largest pest control companies.
Still unfulfilled, I continued my pest management education earning a Qualifying Party license for Weed Control, Pest Control and Termite Control leading to the inception of Watts Pest Prevention.

So far I am extremely impressed by how punctual and helpful Watts is! We just signed a lease on a new apartment and were SHOCKED by some roaches, especially since we never had ANY issue with our previous apartment.
We called Watts on a Sunday and they said they would come out on Monday, which is also Memorial Day, and gave us a 4-hour window to come out.
I don't know how the service holds up, but will edit or repost when we find out. We are just really impressed so far by the attentiveness and willingness to fix our (hopefully one-time-only) problem.
Great service. Reliable and friendly. Highly recommended. Send notifications before and after they come by.

We've been using watts for bi monthly service for three years. They have great customer service and great prices! Love the ease of being on their bimonthly schedule- they know when you're due for service and send you an email to remind you. Definitely recommend!
2018-05-12: Watts came and did the gopher elimination and they haven't come back in three weeks. They took care of the problem in a single visit. So far, good- so I am updating the review from 4-to-5 stars.
FYI: When I called to make the appointment, nobody answered the phone. They did eventually call back though.

I am revising my original review (preserved below) because I got a call from Mark (who sounds like he's an owner or partner), and was very friendly and helpful. He saw my poor review and moved me to the beginning of the callback queue. He called just a few minutes after I left the original review and was very, very apologetic.
The problem is gophers, and Mark explained thoroughly why the problem recurs and what can be done to remediate it for the long-term.
(original message): I am not (yet) a customer. I just wish they'd answer the phone or call me back. I called twice today, and left a message the second time. It's been well over an hour since my second call (and the message).
I had bird(s) building nest inside one of my attic vents and so I called Watts Pest Prevention based on the positive reviews I have read on Yelp.
I explained to Marc on the phone on what I am seeing/suspecting and he pretty much knows the rest (very knowledgeable). Jahmaine showed up a couple of days later and took care of the problem in less than 15 minutes. The price is reasonable and the quality of work is good. Can't complain! Definitely earn my future business for any pest issues/control.
I just switched over from home team pest defense, and the customer service is already better. I had Marc jr as my rep and he was very polite and informative about the services he was going to provide. He got done in a decent time and gave me a full recap and what to look out for in the next couple days. Glad I made the switch.
I'm quite surprised by the consistently positive reviews, as I have not had a good experience with Watts. We have bird activity around our garage (assuming a nest, but of course I still don't know), to the point that babies are ending up dead on the driveway. I called six days ago asking for an inspector to come out and provide a quote for removing the nest. Apparently, a Watts inspector came by on his scheduled day, but he never called to let me know he was here so we were not able to discuss the issue and options. I simply received an email that night with a quote of $950 for every bird preventive measure in the book - but no confirmation of whether we do have a nest and whether it can be removed or for how much. That was our immediate need, which I thought I made clear when I called initially. I sent an email to Watts in response to the quote, expressing my disappointment and asking for a quote to remove the nest. No response. Called the next day around lunchtime, and Abby said my email was received and I'd hear something by the afternoon. That was 24 hours ago and I've still heard nothing. Clearly, Watts is not treating my situation as urgent. And if it's really not urgent, then at least help me understand why dead birds are ending up on my driveway and adult birds are hanging around my roof shingles, and then maybe we can talk about preventive measures. And if bird removal is not something they can help me with, then why not just tell me that?
After my initial call, I also received several auto marketing emails promoting their services and specials in the meantime, which was quite annoying when all I really need right now is someone to help clean a bird's nest out of my roof -- or, at the very least, tell me what they think might be going on with these birds. Throwing high prices in my face for non-urgent products before the reason for my call is addressed is not the way to win me over as a customer. Unsubscribe. I'll be taking my money elsewhere - that is, to Terminix, who says they can inspect, talk with me about pricing, and remove a nest if necessary all in the same day.
We are extremely happy with Watts pest prevention. Our house and yard were home to way to many bugs when we moved in, and now that we use Watts all we have is an occasional dead bug. They are very professional and efficient and we couldn't ask for more.

I've used Watts twice for weed control and it works. They not only kill the weeds that are present, but they also apply a product to take care of weeds that have not yet raised their ugly heads.

Wow.. All I have to say is wow. I was referred to them by my landlord and I couldn't be happier. Jahmaine came over and did an inspection on a rodent problem. What I was told was an infestation by another company, turns out to be a small problem with a couple house mice. He was very knowledgeable, took the time to educate me about them, and we set a plan to get rid of them. These guys are freaking awesome. I will be using them from now on for sure. These guys are fantastic! After being given the run around by Terminex, I called this company in a panic for a same day termite inspection. Abby called me back immediately and told me she would get in touch with her technician Austin and see if he could make it by today. Again she called me back within minutes with an apt within the hour! Austin showed up right on time and was absolutely fantastic. He put covers on his shoes to protect my carpet, was extremely sweet and professional and completed the inspection quickly but thoroughly. I will definetly be using this company and referring them to everyone I know!

I don't know why anyone would ever use another company. Watts is truly the best. They're honest, courteous,effective. They respond immediately. Even if you are someone a lil high maintenance and low patience like myself. They've always worked around my schedule and i've been using them for over a year now. They do outside even if I'm not available and I don't have to worry about anything being broken (which did happen to me with a different company I used before I found watts ) no worries about something not being completed. Being a CA girl, I really freaked when I saw a scorpion in my newly purchased home in Fountain Hills. We called late at night and within an hour I had Jahmaine arrive and come to my rescue. This company offers 24 hour pest help. Although this bark scorpion was no more than 2 inches in size I was totally beside myself. Jahmaine spent a lot of time educating me on scorpions and what I can do if there is a next time and then proceeded to walk my property looking to see if he spotted any more. Luckily none were spotted and I was left feeling greatly relieved and another pest control company to refer to when needed. This family company is a gem and if I ever need to change companies, this is the one I would turn to. Thank you Watts family!!
Watts is fantastic. Austin is polite and helpful (even when I forget to leave the gate unlocked - sorry again!), and I haven't had any pest issues since starting regular service. I recommend them to friends and acquaintances whenever I can.

I haven't had a bug problem for over three years, but started noticing gnats and other tiny bugs. I found Watts Pest Prevention on Yelp and called for information. After talking to the knowledgeable office girl, i still wasn't sure if I would create a bigger problem spraying and then drawing out more bugs. The owner called me and went over options in detail. I decided to move forward and got a followup call from the office to schedule. They are SUPER organized and sent me an email confirming my time and letting me set up an online account. I received a reminder call the day before with a 2 hour time frame and a promise to call with a 30 minute warning. Germaine arrived just as promised with a call letting me know he was on his way. Germaine came in my house and assessed the bug problem and gave me advice how to proceed. I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He answered all our questions and made sure that he checked everything carefully and then sprayed inside and out. I will definitely start regular service and refer them to others. VERY IMPRESSED--VERY professional company.
OMG...What a NIGHTMARE! I don't recommend anyone hire a family owned company to do work for you. This leaves you with no one to complain to if things go wrong. I had asked Watts to put up spikes where pigeons were nesting. I came home to a mess, trash and bird poop everywhere. I didn't call, just cleaned it up myself. 1 week later I found birds nesting out front of the upstairs windows. While looking on the window sill, I see several containers of empty bird glue that they left behind. Finally, I called to address the issue i.e.: left trash and bird poop everywhere, basically, leaving me with the same situation I was in prior to seeking their services. I even sent him pictures. The owner was horrible. He called me cheap (I paid $400.00) and said he felt like I was trying to get something for nothing. I hadn't even asked for anything. I Just wanted him to realize the birds were still nesting in places that he didn't put spikes. I needed more spikes. I never said I wouldn't pay for it. I told him I would share this experience on YELP and he said I'll reply to that and really embarrass you. I don't know how he will do this, but the fact that he threatens people, may be why he has such good reviews. Because of this issue, I will be unable to use my warranty that was supposed to be good for 5 years. This guy has used intimidation tactics to ensure he doesn't have to honor his warranty. I hope you all think twice about using this family owned business.

Moved into our new house a week ago and had our first encounter with a scorpion and not a very fun one. Our realtor called Watts for us. They came out and did an initial inside and outside job. The only other scorpion we've seen since then was a dead one. We paid for a year treatment and will stick with them. Great price too. Thanks Watts.
