We bought an older property that needed a major electrical update and everything brought up to code. Stefan took his time and walked us through the entire process from start to finish. He was timely, polite, and very informative. His pricing was fair and fit our budget nicely. He was right on schedule and had everything done within a super convenient timeframe. I am absolutely thrilled with the work Darrell's team did for me today.  They removed and replaced 13 light fixtures for me throughout my place. Darrell was super helpful as he helped me figure out what to do in a building that is super old with concrete ceilings. Delvin, Cody, and Graham came today to do the work and they were fast, knowledgeable, friendly and professional.  Will definitely be using Sims & Sons for all of my future electrical work here in Chicago!

My cat had sprayed into an electrical outlet which in turn shorted out all of the outlets in the living room & small kitchen of my condo.  When I called to describe the problem, Neville responded he would be able to have two guys (Johnny & Alex) out in about an hour.  He then texted me their rates, letting me know immediately that I was eligible for a discount.   When they arrived they were friendly, courteous, & professional.  Not only were they able to fix my outlet issue but when I asked about a light fixture that had been also giving me issues, they were more than willing to take a look at it and were quickly able to determine the source of the issue.  I was very pleased with their polite, prompt, knowledgeable service and would use them again.

What service should be. Called with my kitchen outlet issues and spoke with Frank. Very kind had Kris in the area so within the hour had someone at my house. Kris was able to find and fix the problem very quickly and professionally. Took Kris about an hour, I had spent a couple days trying to fix it myself. My kitchen outlets are fully operational now. In a Chicago winter, there are always going to be plumbing and heating problems and technicians get swamped with requests for emergency services (missing appointments) or want to charge an arm and a leg when they arrive at your house. I have used these guys twice now and both times they were reasonable and helpful. They gave me a reasonable quote through the yelp app, and upon arrival, seeing the problem not as big as before, adjusted the price even further. They always respond within 24 hours, and schedule arrival within a day or so of your infractions. Morever, the tech, Jose, is easygoing and pretty accurate in his assessments and handy enough to address various types of problems I've had with water heater, furnace, and showerhead water flow.

Eugene explained clearly the problems and solutions.  He really knows his stuff.  He arrived and finished on time. Price was very good, a bit less than I thought it would be.

He replaced a light fixture in our bedroom,it was an older electrical setup,he was able to figure it out and installed a new fixture.This is the second time I've used him and will be calling him again,I highly recommend him.

They installed a ceiling fan in one of our rooms. Our kids room which is also the hottest room in the house. The job ended up being much more difficult than anticipated because of some poorly done existing wiring. Jeff was awesome with us though. So professional. So kind. He did a tremendous job. Would use him anytime. Highly recommended.

North Shore Electric is truly first-rate.  They just completed our second project with them which was removing a track light and installing six recessed lights that have changed the room ambiance.  Brian, the owner had worked out the plan, made suggestions, and offered suggestions.  While they were backlogged with business,  he did suggest a way of getting the work done earlier than originally proposed.  The site electrician, Bill, was fantastic.  This friendly and informative dude worked non-stop enabling the job to be completed in one day and totally cleaned up.  Bill recognized that he had done our living room installations a couple of years earlier.  This company is tops and pricing is very reasonable.  It was nice to get an invoice that detailed every cost and not just a blanket final price.  Recommend them without reservation.

I needed some electrical work done in my garage and MNC did great work.  Quick response, quality work and a good price.  I recommend.

A++ in all aspects. I had great pleasure to hire Tom's company for our house project. The project included multiple rooms. Complete Bath and kitchen electrical renovation. Two bathrooms received outlets, switches, can lights and fans. The kitchen received  new can lights and outlets. Living room got new can lights. We also added wired smoke detectors throughout the house. Tom was a total professional when he came in for the estimate. Everything was explained so that there were no surprises any time during the project and he made sure that we understood the work that was going to take place. Prices were very competitive, and work was done in the time promised. Tom made sure that everything was done right, to code and left everything clean and spotless. I would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

I needed a handyman to fix a few different tasks around my home and I could not have been more impressed with their service!  From my initial outreach for a quote and scheduling, to the handyman Carlos, who came to fix everything, they were top notch!  This will definitely be my go to for anything I need done!

We made an appointment for an estimate and nobody showed up. I called and only received voicemail and nobody returned my calls. Based upon other more positive reviews, I was disappointed in the unprofessional treatment.

Job done, but expensive
We had some flickering lights at all hours of the day, so we called mr. mighty.
They got someone out here quickly, which was nice.  
The first day it cost 369 bucks to come out and inspect our panel and the service disconnects and the meter box - about 45 minutes or so.
We scheduled saturday to replace the disconnects for the two units. He didn't show up and called an hour afterwards apologizing.  Re-scheduled for later the next week.  and he replaced them - 550 dollars.
He noticed the voltage wasn't right, so he called comed because he thought there was a problem with the incoming neutral.  Comed came out and said the busbars in the meter box needed to be replaced.  Our appliances were starting to fail because of the bad neutral, so i called them back and said come take care of it.  842 dollars.

The job was completed, but I wish he had acted on the meter box that first day after seeing such corrosion. Probably could have saved 550 bucks
