Noel was great to work with and they did great work.  I wanted new lighting in several rooms in my house.  He gave me a fair estimate, was quick to schedule the work, and made recommendations based on what I wanted.  I would highly recommend them and I am glad to say that I have an electrician for any future projects.

Mike from Advance did an excellent job. I called, he came by to provide a quote. I hired him and when he did the job it was clean, priced as quoted with no surprises and ahead of schedule. I will definitely use him again.

The power to my garage suddenly went out and I suspected a short. I posted a request for quote on Saturday night and Victor responded quickly and was available within a day at a reasonable price.
He was able to get me up and operational fast and at a good price. He kept me updated on progress and on what he was suspecting along with showing me why he suspected something . Overall happy with the service I received.

I can't say enough about Peter. After my HVAC broke down during the hottest week of the summer and I was told it was 'electrical', I called every electrician on Yelp, to no avail. Everyone is too busy flipping houses, it seems. He was the last one I talked to and he heard the desperation in my voice, so he agreed to come out to see what he could do a few days later. Another shady electrician called back and said he could come sooner but thankfully I waited for Peter. He's incredibly thorough and detail-oriented, and wound up going on a bit of an investigatory mission and uncovered some untruths with the HVAC company, documenting everything on video. Ultimately, the issue was not electrical, meaning I had called him out for nothing. He felt so bad he gave me a discount....but his hard work and investigatory skills got me my money back with the HVAC company. Peter earned his spot at the top of my fridge as my #1 trusted vendor. His honesty and professionalism was so refreshing. And today I even got a handwritten Thank You card in the mail, replete with an inside joke from our appointment! So nice. He clearly values his customers and pays attention to the little things. You can't go wrong with Peter....best service provider experience I've ever had, hands down.

I called to get a ballpark idea of what it would cost for to install a 50 amp outlet for an electric car. I'm actually outside of Aardvark's range, but Frank took the time to walk me through everything I need to consider and gave me a range so I could budget. He is obviously very knowledgeable in his craft. More importantly, he's an honest person who took time out of his day to help me out when there was no financial gain for him. Only wish I could hire him.

From start to finish, they demonstrated that they are truly your old school local contractor that takes care of its community at a far price with an honest approach. This is the best experience with an electrician I've ever had.  I  had a small problem, and even knowing there wouldn't be much money in it, Kent came over at 8PM to solve the problem.  Here's what I noticed from spending a little time with Kent.
1.  Kent's knowledge of Chicago electrical codes is unsurpassed.
2.  He knows the strengths and weaknesses of  various manufacturers of electrical equipment going back years.
3.  He genuinely cares about helping people and solving problems.
4.  He has immense pride in his profession.  By the time he is finished, you have a completely different take on the importance of competent electricians.

I have to highly recommend the most honest Electrician on Yelp is Eugene from Vilano Electric. Not only is his competitive flat rate $50 compared to $125 from other competitors, he is Honest and Frank as well. I am selling a home and the home inspector from the buyer stated I should update AFCI circuit breaker per current code. After speaking to Eugene, he was honest enough to give me a good quote over the phone where most electrician would rather come over and give you the quote on site. He also updated me on the AFCI code for the city of Chicago. STOP looking around Yelp for other electricians, give VILANO ELECTRIC a call NOW.

Overall - great service and great work.  We had some minor electrical work needed for our home (moving / adding new outlets).  Todd was very helpful in suggesting the best way to get things done and doing it all in a very timely fashion.  He was on-time for the appointment, and he helped out with some other minor issues we had in the apartment.  Would definitely recommend.

After being ghosted by another potential handy man I decided to try Yelp and so glad I did. Mo was reliable and very precise. I had dropped a heavy jar  in my bathroom sink and needed it replaced it did take I get the expected to fix BUT he got it done and the price was just right. I then hired him to install a dimmer in my living room lights and he came by today to get it done. You can't go wrong with him, he's honest and reliable will definitely use him again for any future projects.

I am amazed that I am the first person to review this company. Any one who owns property knows how wonderful (and difficult) it is to find a professional, reliable, funny, and super friendly electrician/plumber/contractor/handyman. Well, with Ed, I found The One. He's just fantastic in every way. I recently hired him to repair the doorbells at my two-flat and, as always, he was reasonably priced and available that day. I've used Ed before for some minor electrical work, and this time was no different. He quickly diagnoses the problem, gets it fixed, he's a pleasure to chat with (he has that dry sense of humor that I love), and his prices are very fair (I never feel jipped when he leaves...in fact, I typically think that's it?). I highly recommend Ed for all of your electrical needs. You will be extremely pleased with his services and your wallet won't be empty:-)

Completed several projects including resolving problems with 4-way switch that another contractor was unable to resolve.

They installed a ceiling fan in one of our rooms. Our kids room which is also the hottest room in the house. The job ended up being much more difficult than anticipated because of some poorly done existing wiring. Jeff was awesome with us though. So professional. So kind. He did a tremendous job. Would use him anytime. Highly recommended.
