Had an issue with an outdoor electrical outlet that impacted my landscape lighting.  Called the main number at 8:30am and Noel was at my house by 3pm (exactly when he said he would arrive).  He diagnosed and fixed the problem in under an hour at a reasonable price.  Had no prior experience with this company but will be using them for electrical issues going forward.

I needed a new outlet in our garage for a refrigerator.  Mike responded immediately, provided a very fair quote, and corresponded in a timely fashion.  For installation, Mike provided options and got my buy in before starting.  Mike was professional, informative and he completed the job as expected.  No hesitation using again if I need an electrician.

I'm so pleased with Victor's work. He helped me identify the problem in my home (apparently a loose wire in the ceiling fan and not the breaker) and worked quickly to fix it. He arrived on time, worked quickly, and stayed to help with another project I needed done. He was very thorough but efficient and charged a reasonable fee. I'd definitely recommend their services and I'm glad to know I have an electrician I can trust and that I can call for help! Thank you again!

HE ONLY WORKS IN HYDE PARK, DON'T CALL HIM FOR ANOTHER NEIGHBORHOOD. But he's great, communicative and responsive, honest, goes above and beyond. We had to remove old electrical equipment from the side of our new house and while he was doing it he recognized another issue up there and resolved that for us as well. Very skilled and capable. We also are observing strict social distancing right now, which Peter was happy to respect--we did everything over phone and email.

We're having a party on Sunday, and, of course, we had a random partial power outage on Saturday afternoon.  Frank answered his phone immediately and came that same day.  He was very friendly and efficient.  I'd recommend them in an instant!

I had an amazing experience with Current. Called to set up an appointment to get an estimate for exterior lighting put in on my home. Phone was answered - this might seem silly but a lot of places don't answer the phone or return messages. Anyway, Don arrived when he said he would (called when he was on his way), Don was knowledgeable and helpful in deciding where and what kind of lighting would be best for my home. And, when he wrote up the estimate (sent later that week via email) it was listed out so we could see the cost of each part so we could pick and choose if we wanted to do all the lighting or just parts. That was super helpful. Anyway, scheduled an appointment for the lighting installation and the technicians were very nice and professional. They didn't mind at all as I watched them work and asked questions. I cannot recommend Current Electrical enough.

Kent is a great electrician but also a problem solver.  I had a crystal chandelier in need of repair before it was hung.  Kent was able to
fix the broken sections and hang the chandelier perfectly.  He also hung
an additional antique chandelier that also required TLC. Job was done well.
I feel lucky to finally have found some in Chicago that I can depend on.

They seem to have done a good job overall, but it was hard to communicate with them. He came fairly quickly to give me a quote and explained everything he was going to do. He seems very knowledgeable about his job and gave me a good price. However, he must be very busy because after I agreed to the quote it was hard to get answers to my questions. Then, he was supposed to return to finish putting the plate on the wall and to adjust the lights as they are motion lights and one of them only turns on for a second and then it goes off, so now I'm left with trying to fix those final minor things. I'm not handy man, so that's just annoying to me.

Just as a follow up, they did come and finish the loose ends. My advice is that if you sense your questions or concerns are not being met, just reach out to the owner of the company, Jesse!

Quick service and installation of a tricky light fixture! Took two hours for a new chandelier, but that was with needing to do a little re-wiring. Professional and easy to work with!

Reached out to LMV to upgrade to 200amp service and install a 240V outlet.  They were great to work with. Quality work, very responsive throughout the estimate, scheduling, and permit process. They were professional, courteous and they showed up on time.  100% recommend.

Eugene and this company went ABOVE AND BEYOND for an extensive project that was done remarkably quickly and effectively.  Everything was explained CLEARLY. They came out IMMEDIATELY for no extra cost. They did extra work that they didn't charge for to ensure that the work done on my older property would last. I cannot say enough about this company.  You need electrical work, THIS IS WHO YOU WANT.

I am amazed that I am the first person to review this company. Any one who owns property knows how wonderful (and difficult) it is to find a professional, reliable, funny, and super friendly electrician/plumber/contractor/handyman. Well, with Ed, I found The One. He's just fantastic in every way. I recently hired him to repair the doorbells at my two-flat and, as always, he was reasonably priced and available that day. I've used Ed before for some minor electrical work, and this time was no different. He quickly diagnoses the problem, gets it fixed, he's a pleasure to chat with (he has that dry sense of humor that I love), and his prices are very fair (I never feel jipped when he leaves...in fact, I typically think that's it?). I highly recommend Ed for all of your electrical needs. You will be extremely pleased with his services and your wallet won't be empty:-)

These guys are amazing!  We moved into 99-year old house and had no idea what the wiring was like.  I removed a fixture to put in a new ceiling fan and had no idea what I was looking at, but I did know that it crumbled in my fingers.  It turned out to be cloth wiring so we called these guys and could not be happier with the work they did.  They were beyond respectful of our space, were creative with their solutions for replacing the wiring to minimize cutting into walls, were on time and dependable every day, were friendly, and were extremely competent.   It's a family-run business and it really felt like it was their home they were working on when they were here.  I highly recommend them to anyone needing anything electrical done in your home.

My garage door wasn't working and it was determined the cause was a problematic electrical connection.  Cal repaired the problem and explained it clearly.  He got the job done for less than the original estimate.  I feel this company is honest and handled my issue in a prompt and professional manner.  I plan to use Alternating Currents again for any future electrical concerns.
