We heard a buzzing noise in our house so I checked each breaker one by one. After still hearing the buzzing I shut off the main breaker which cut power to the entire house. The buzzing noise then stopped so I knew it was an electrical problem. Then I tried to reset the main breaker but it wouldn't turn back on. Now not having power to the entire house I panicked and checked Yelp and found Patrick Electrical. They were very honest with what they would do to help me, quoted the price and showed up an hour later. The young electrician was very nice and explained what was done. Power restored and everyone was happy. Thank you Patrick.

Wally, the owner of upgrade electric is one of the rare, reputable, reliable and decent electricians out there. Okay, maybe I'm being too hard on the industry, but it's hard to find honest and reliable plumbers, electricians, & contractors, IMHO, and Wally and Upgrade Electric are definitely a rare good option. We've worked with them on two houses we've owned in the last 10 years and Wally has done work for my in-laws prior to that - and it's always been good work.

I highly recommend John! We just moved into a new home in Lincoln Park, and John rewired a few switches and fixed a few non-working outlets for us. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. As well, John did the work at a reasonable rate, offered perspectives on how he would setup the electrical if it was his house, finished on-time, and thoroughly cleaned up afterward.

We needed to have a 52-inch fan installed on a 17-foot ceiling. I called 5 electricians that had been recommended by the place from where we purchased the fan (Menards). Three of the 5 quoted prices $400 and up. One wouldn't take the job because he didn't have ladders tall enough. But Jeff Schimanski charged significantly less than the others. He took the old fan down and installed the new one, and he did a great job. I highly recommend Jeff!

He was a great electrician! He is no longer in business but I sure wish he were. I miss this business!

When I bought my condo, all of the light fixtures were the original. I contacted BUE via Facebook and worked with Mo. He came out to my place the next day and replaced both bathroom light fixtures as well as a chandelier in the dining area. He was so great to deal with - very professional and friendly. The price was great, but the service was exceptional. He worked with my schedule and came after 6pm to do this work.
I need some pendants hung in my kitchen and I will be hiring BUE. I can't recommend enough!

Amazing service. From quoting to delivery in under a week. They completed the work and cleaned up very well, even provided some options for no additional cost to help earn my business. Other quotes were almost twice as much. I would recommend these guys to anyone and will use again.

I called Alexander Swanson when a hole was discovered in the lower corner of my front door. He replied within the day and after looking at the photos sent, was able to offer some solutions. We set up a time to meet and he came out to look at the issue in person. After looking at the area he explained what he would fix, how he would fix it and walked through the steps. That was appreciated because it helped to know what was going on and what the options were. He also took health considerations into the options, which was very much appreciated and made sure that a vacuum was running to catch any dust the was created while fixing the door. On the day of the job he arrived and set straight to work. There was a clear focus on what needed to be done and no time was wasted. Not only did Alex and his partner work consistently, he took the time to make sure measurements were exact and sanded down the replacement wood block to ensure a great seal. It was great. I would highly recommend him to anyone and encourage you to try a company that listens to your concerns and makes sure the job is done expertly and cleanly.

We had a miserable situation where we lost power to the house. ComEd was repeatedly pushing us around. Bob and his guys came in, treated us with courtesy and respect and acted with the utmost professionalism. They all pushed to finalize the job despite all the obstacles created by our public utility company and made sure the work they did was the most cost efficient option. I look forward to working with him again.

I got Mr Dragovic's company name and number along with a few other referrals from Menards. I'm ery glad I picked him.
A small metal ruler accidentally fell onto the power strip surge protector just as I was unplugging my cell charger in the wee hours of the morning. Sparks flew out of the surge protector and the metal ruler melted in 2 places. The surge protector had burn marks too.
I was thankful I wasnt injured. My power went off everywhere. I was really scared and the next day had a neighbor fiddle around with the circuit breaker. They couldn't figure it out.
I had no idea what was damaged or how bad the problem was going to be. I was worried about the state of my expensive TV and my electric recliner chair...
Mr. Dragovic answered my phone call right away. He actual tried to help me over the phone to see if I could fix my own circuit breaker problem and to save me the cost of the service call.
Some people I think may not have tried to help me on the phone.
I was so upset and worried at that moment I just wanted him to come over.
He made it to my place in less than 30 minutes. I was surprised he was able to come over pretty quickly the same day, late monday afternoon.
I was thinking I would have to wait until the next day to get any service!
He was wore a mask. He was very pleasant, personable and professional- as well as knowledgable.
He was right, there was a little sequence that needed to be performed in a certain way in the circuit breaker and it was not obvious. It was a little tricky.
(Perhaps if I had been calmer and in a better state of mind, he might have been able to help me on the phone. I think it is commendable that he wanted to try to help me without having a service call!)
He looked at the circuit box and got the power on right away, very quickly. He showed me exactly what to do if it ever happened again.
He didnt try to replace anything that didnt need repairing just to take advantage of the situation. (Being female and pretty unfamiliar with electric work he could have replaced the whole circuit breaker and charged me whatever...
I was prepared for the worst...)
He was a good guy and was very honest.
I will definitely use his services if I need an electrician for anything in the future.
It was refreshing to have a service person of any type who was honest and caring.
I highly recommend you give him a try.

My experience with Corb electric was less than acceptable. While the actual electrician was great (although slow), my main concern was with Victor, who seems to handle most of the business aspects.
Not only was my electrician 45 minutes late, but they overcharged me for the amount of time spent servicing. The electrician was here very slightly over an hour and they charged me for an hour and a half. Victor did not apologize or acknowledge either of these things, in fact he defended his electricians tardiness.
If I were running a business, tardiness would not be acceptable.
I would take your business elsewhere for electrician needs.

RJ electric installed my home charger. Ron is a consummate professional who is on time, get the job done in a clean and neat way, and leaves the site looking as good or better than it did when he arrived (a rare quality!). Would highly recommend him for any electrical needs.

He scheduled a 1 hour appointment window with me and never showed up or called. Utterly ridiculous.
