Best Solar Electric/PV System Installation in San Jose CA

I have been putting off repairs on my lighting and upgrading my security system at my home. Finally when all the ballasts finally failed it was time to make that call. I called Electric Heroes and they were very cheerful and professional and happy to take on my projects and fit me into their schedule quickly. I have talked to other electrical contractors about my projects and they didn't want to help so I was very happy to find this company who was willing to help and they made some very good recommendations for me for the future. All the work got done and I am very happy with the quality of all the work. And now I can lights so I don't have to cook in the dark. I will be using them exclusively now on my future projects.

I found my go-to electrician. I highly recommend JCM Electric. James (the electrician) is the man! 

I contacted several electricians in the area for EV charging (Nema 14-50 outlet) installation. One electrician was booked until the next month. He didn't even seem interested in answering my questions. I'm assume he does fairly well with his bigger projects & commercial clients and probably consider my needs to not be worth his time. : /

However, JMC Electric responded quickly and offered me a very fair quote (actually significantly lower than the other electricians). James and his assistant came out the very next day! 

James was very friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all the questions I had. He completed the work in less than 2 hours. 

I am surprised JMC only has a handful of reviews. This guy should have 200+ 5 stars. I will recommend James & JMC to all of my friends & family.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

Very handy and work hard. The precious investigator assigned by American warranty told me there is a gas leakage. However it is not the case. Techs from AY EMP found the key reason that is there was something blocking in the gas pipeline. They finally fix the problem. Very nice work.

Alex came to my house in Clayton and was able to diagnose and fix our issue within the same hour, and didn't even charge us....highly recommend and will use again.

Francisco sent his crew back to retest the system, found out that the micro inverters were the issue. Since they are still under warranty  the manufacturer will replace all 24 micro inverters for me. It will take 2-4 weeks for them to ship. But for now I have 3 new inverters working that Francisco was kind enough to let me use it while waiting for the replacement.

Jay came out to install a few new outlets for me in my garage and house. He was very kind and courteous and the work was done well. The quote was reasonably priced and he even was able to repair a ceiling fan i was having issues with , free of charge.

Got in touch with Jay through email and texted him pictures what my breaker box looked like.   He gave me an estimate of what I needed to be done.  His tech James showed up on time.  I needed an external outlet installed under the eaves of my home  - he even worked when it started to rain.  Great personality coupled with a good business ethic!!  Can't ask for anything more.  Thank you JJ Electric.  You guys are a class act!  You'll certainly get a call from me again.

I wanted to replace & relocate my main panel with a 200A one before installing solar. End of Nov 2022 I got quotes from electricians referred by friends and also used Yelp's request-a-quote feature to get several quotes, including Five Or Free. Ultimately I went with Five Or Free to do the job and was pleased with the experience and results.

Jonathan first contacted me via Yelp, then talked over phone, and was helpful in the background through the project. Eric D came over to do the estimate and was really friendly/knowledgeable/professional. The estimate was the highest, but I was won over by the inclusion of some extra circuits I knew I'd need later, handling all permit-related work, and peace of mind knowing their high standards/guarantees.

Damell and Eddie did most of the work. New panel, new riser, moving the wiring from the old panel, new ground (had to run it across the house), and the additional circuits. They were friendly and worked hard. Tim came over for some small electrical followups i.e. moving sump pump off arc fault breaker juuuust in case.

There's another Eric who does permitting work who managed the PG&E and city communications + inspections, which went smoothly. He also did a lot of painting, weatherproofing, fixed a attic vent that was bent while installing the new riser, and a big list of other stuff I asked him about to make sure everything was clean and looked good at the end.

I really got a We'll keep working until it's perfect vibe from everyone throughout, which is what I was hoping for at their higher price point. It's now been a few months since they finished the project and my solar installation by Tesla went very smoothly with them connecting into the new panel.

I'd use Five or Free again for big projects or for a big bunch of smaller projects to take advantage of their project management / strong organizational support in addition to top quality work.

I found Glugo Electric through Yelp quote, who gave me the most reasonable price. Gustavo helped me add an electrical outlet on the wall so that I can mount my TV there. In addition to that, for my TV in another room, he helped cut the hole to hide the wire under the wall. Both works are perfectly done and he is very professional and experienced in the whole process. I would highly recommend him if you need any electrical work!

K is the best electrician with reasonable price I could ever found in Bay Area. He came here the second day after my request and found the problem quickly after the diagnose. The problem was more difficult than imagined. He came back the second day with more advanced tools to fix it. He is very patient and responsible. He came here two times but only charge us once. Definitely will come back to K if we have more electrical issues.

5 mins to pick up the project, 10 mins to communicate and confirm, 20 mins to reach home. 5 mins to quote, 30 mins work done. That's probably the fastest installation of wall connector anyone could ask. Thanks Juan.

Norm responded quickly to my requests to repair damage that my tenant caused to my rental property.  He arrived when he said he would and got the work done quickly and at the stated cost.  He also helped inspect the house for other damage at no cost and provided suggestions for repairs.  l will definitely be using him in the future for any maintenance and repair requests for my rental.

Great service, great communication. Very thourough with explaining furnace issues, and all of my options. Will definitely be using Fuse moving forward.

News flash for EV owners, especially those who bought that T**** brand vehicle that brings $$$ signs into the service providers all over, you should always look for quotes from electricians all around.

I sought many quotes for installing a dedicated EV charger. I already managed to get level 2 charging using an old laundry NEMA 10-30 with an extension cable. I am a mostly DIYer, but suffice to say, I am not a professional electrician and didn't want to risk overloading my electrical circuit. I sought several quotes, including one from the Tesla-approved installer in my location (Bay Area Peninsula area). The quotes were $3700 from the Tesla-approved company (which I immediately dismissed as ridiculous), $1250 just to move my laundry NEMA 10-30 socket 15 ft (from a so-called EV charger specialist), and several other more than $1000 quotes for similar stuff.

Fuse quoted me less than $1000 for a proper install of either a NEMA14-50 or a Tesla wall charger (which I can either buy myself or they will get it for me at the same price of $500+taxes).  The electrician came on time and advised me throughout the whole process and the options. Initially, he said that he might need to make holes in the wall and that they will not fix the drywall but can give me contacts to fix the dry wall afterward (or I can do it myself). I requested that he try to do the installation with the existing panel without making new holes in the wall if possible. He took his time to test all the systems and figured out a way to do so. He was always friendly and answered all my questions, even giving me advice on how to do some stuff in future myself! Also, I should add that the Tesla wall charger is sold out on Tesla's website but Fuse have stock in hand.

TL;DR My experience with Fuse was great and I am considering using them for my other HVAC and electrical needs. Whether you choose to use Fuse or not, you should always seek multiple quotes for EV charger installs. There is nothing special about a Tesla or any other EV wall charger that requires you to pay close to 10% of your Tesla purchase price for a Tesla-approved electrician.

We were having some weird issues with our lights and the dishwasher on Friday, and I figured we should call an electrician. Tom answered the call and was over in less than 20 minutes! He and his assistant were able to diagnose that the problem was with the PG&E drop, and so we called the power company and had them come out to fix the line. He hit the nail on the head, as it looked like squirrels have been using the line as a chew toy for years. Everything works great now and he only charged us his minimum fee. Will absolutely be calling Tom in the future for our electrical needs.
