I had Gabriel come to work on my washer that has always been a problem.  He got it moving again - but it had way more issues than I was willing to invest in.  Gab came back early the next day I called.  He really wanted to be able to help.  The call response time is amazing.  He was professional.  The service charge was reasonable for the first call and nothing for the follow up.  I would use his company again - thanks Gabriel!

I requested a quote to have a ceiling fan removed from one area of my home and installed in another that was not currently wired for it. Gary was responsive and concise in his quote, which I very much appreciated over other quotes I had received. Gary was on time for our scheduled appointment, arriving in a clean white commercial van. He advised me of his work plan for the project after looking over the area, and when I gave the go ahead, he got right to work. He laid down a protective blanket to keep the area clean and moved my furniture back in place when everything was complete. He was very thorough, clean, and went above and beyond what I expected. I'll look to Gary in the future for any other handyman needs!

Shelton came to my house to give me an estimate the same day I posted the request. Not only did he come the same day, he also completed the service the same day. His price was reasonable and the work was perfect. I would recommend Shelton to anybody looking for home repairs.

This the best and most proficient Handyman that I have ever used. He has installed lights and made various repairs around my house 3 times this year. He is the only one that I would consider to do these things for me since the first time he did a great job and every other time he did too. We had a minor electrical problem at our house in contact with Mason pro services. The person answered the phone was professional and courteous. They sent a tech out the same day and they resolved the problem without any issue.  I would definitely use them again!

I had given VETSBuilt a one star review previously for not contacting me when I ask for a quote. I am retracting that review and apologizing to VETSBuilt for not seeing their response via email through Yelp. They also tried calling me and I did not answer because I didn't recognize the phone number with an out of area Area Code. They also left me a voice mail that I did not see till later.

So since they have contacted me with an explanation and it was within 24 hours so I am giving them 4 stars. We worked things out and DJ was very courteous on the phone. They are now coming out tomorrow to give us our quote and we are happy.

I want to share a big THANK YOU to Jeff for fixing my sliding door! Since I moved in a few months ago, it continued to get worse to the point it wouldn't lock or even close all the way. The owner Kurt was always straightforward, puntual, with good communication and offered me fair prices for each job. Each job was done right including plumbing work, electrical, drywall, installation of light fixtures and ceiling fans. This built my trust in this company so I am looking forward to do more work with them. Kurt was able to finalize everything before the tenants moved in as planned. He has been a real estate investor himself so he understood my concerns and always provided great recommendations. Fix It Floyd is my go-to! I am an Airbnb Plus Superhost and my rental property is in Old Town Scottsdale but I manage it from California-- so I have to have a handyman I can count on! Fix It Floyd (FIF) is a reasonably priced one-stop-shop. FIF even does electrical! FIF provides quick call-backs and fast scheduling/completion. I reach a live person with a professional phone manner when I call and FIF always sends out professional technicians. Brian is great about valuing loyal customers and repeat clients like me. He recently expedited my service request during the Christmas/New Year's holiday.

I would give this family business a million shooting stars if I could! Ryan is patient, has great attention to detail, is very considerate of our home when he does work for us and has a great, friendly attitude. Eddie was great and has years of experience! He answered my call for dryer help on a Saturday and arranged to come Monday. He was early and very knowledgeable on what was wrong with our dryer. Immediately he presented us with our options and even expressed how we could save money. He quoted us an honest price and didn't add charges in the end. Eddie actually left our house and got the part we needed very quickly, returning and finishing the job the same day. He was very friendly and trustworthy. We will definitely be calling Eddie first, next time we need a handy man.

Why can't you get any information about a a/c warranty? We had them come out and give us the cost of a 1 and 3 year warranty but when I tried to get information as to what that covers you can't get any answers!

I recently received a postcard mail promo and booked TH to perform a whole house plumbing inspection and water heater replacement. My wife was present for the inspection as I was out of town on the scheduled day.

During the service call, wife was informed that our water heater drain valve was corroded shut and therefore couldn't be drained. She was told that it was overdue for replacement due to its age, as it was made in 2003. So my wife authorized them to provide replacement quotes.

When I returned home, I reviewed the quotes and took a look at the water heater. The plumber misidentified the water heater model, somehow overlooking the sticker on the tank stating that it was built in 2013. 9 years is well within the realm of service life for water heaters, so that was one deduct for competence.

The two quotes I received were for $2200 and $3200, for mid and top tier electric conventional replacements. I work in commercial construction, so I did a little bit of research before calling to discuss the quote with their office. The average install price in AZ for a water heater is in the neighborhood of $1500, and $2000+ is possible for higher end units.

Their quotes were not as detailed as I expected, but there were a few red flags that I picked up on. They included gas piping work that doesn't apply to electric heaters, and one of the main differences in their quote tiers was for replacement of the copper shut off valves - that they would have to replace anyway. My current unit height isn't a standard height anymore, and the shut off valves are within the space that would be occupied by a replacement unit. The salesman tried stating that the premium cost buys me a company with a solid reputation (3 stars on 5 yelp ratings is solid??), and extended warranties on the heater, parts and labor. The labor warranty offer was indeed higher than average, but still is outside of the price range I'm comfortable with. I asked the salesman if they were willing to take a look at their numbers, refine them to align with what I know to be a reasonable price target, and provide an updated proposal to earn our business. He stated that he would, and get back to me in a few days. That was last Tuesday.

I called on Friday, and the receptionist told me the salesman was in a meeting and would call me back. I received no call back, so I called again this morning. I asked the receptionist to simply have the salesman call me and tell me if they were able to find something that would work, or not, so I could pivot to another option. I was told the same thing as Friday, that I would get a call before the end of the day. That hasn't happened, so I'm posting this to hopefully save someone else from wasting their time.

If you want to be gouged on one of the most basic home plumbing repairs that anyone with basic copper piping and household electrical knowledge could DIY in exchange for not having a labor warranty, or be given the runaround by a salesman rather than being shown the basic decency of returning a committed call, Tucker Hill is the plumber for you. If you want to find the best value for your hard earned money, I suggest looking elsewhere. I wish I had seen Jessica's review below before scheduling, it sounds like she had the same takeaway.

By the way - talked to the plumbing subcontractor on my project today. He confirmed that $1,500 - $2,000 is the ballpark I can expect to be in and that he just completed the same size job as mine for that last week.

Nick did a fantastic job installing a new bathroom faucet for me. He was extremely friendly, professional and efficient.
