Gary was great. He installed a new prehung door for me, including casing and trim. He was very reasonably priced and did it really quickly. I was surprised how quickly he got it done. I would definitely recommend his work and I'll keep his number handy for anything else that comes up!

I want to share a big THANK YOU to Jeff for fixing my sliding door! Since I moved in a few months ago, it continued to get worse to the point it wouldn't lock or even close all the way. Eddie was great and has years of experience! He answered my call for dryer help on a Saturday and arranged to come Monday. He was early and very knowledgeable on what was wrong with our dryer. Immediately he presented us with our options and even expressed how we could save money. He quoted us an honest price and didn't add charges in the end. Eddie actually left our house and got the part we needed very quickly, returning and finishing the job the same day. He was very friendly and trustworthy. We will definitely be calling Eddie first, next time we need a handy man.

Had Ralph do about $5,500 of work and it was worth every penny.  Whenever we scheduled additional work they kept canceling Ralph and tried to send another technician. We kept rescheduling until we got Ralph.  They never made it easy to do.  

Unfortunately our last attempt to have Ralph come out to do some valve work and move a water filtration system, so our tile guy could put down a new tile, failed.   Because the tile work was already scheduled we couldn't do anything when GB once again called and cancelled Ralph to send Chris (I think).  So Chris came out and my wife said he was Mr. Attitude right from the start.  My wife is almost impossible to tick off so i know this guy was bad.  Our tile guy also said he wanted to kick Chris' #$% because he was such an arrogant moron.  So Chris charges us about $300 to replace some valves, which was fine, but then tells my wife it will cost $325 to move the filtration system they installed a year earlier.  When my wife started questioning him he finally said he could do it for $285 (what kind of pricing system do you have GB????).  Becuase she had no real options and assumed the work might take some time she said okay.  

To remove the system he had to unscrew 3 large plastic bolts and slide the cylinder about 3 feet over.  While our tile guy replaced that tile Chris went and did the other repairs so he spent no time waiting for the tile guy.  After the tile was set he slid the cylinder back and rescrewed the 3 bolts.  My wife was livid as she said the total time spent on this was less than 10 minutes (probably closer to 5).  When she confronted him he just shrugged his shoulders.  I called GB to complain and the rep was polite, but said he could only give me an additional $75 off.  Still at $210 for about 5 minutes of work that is over $2,400/hour.  REALLY?????

It is too bad because we were very happy to have a trusted plumber, even if they were a little pricey, but this was absolutely ridiculous.  Too bad for GB also because they probably lost 50 times the extra $110 (we would have been fine with a $100 charge) in future business from us and our fanilies.  If you decide to use them insist on Ralph.  If you like the technician you used before don't let them change on you. Ralph, If you read this go into business for yourself, we'd be your first customers.

It has now been 7 months since a Tucker Hill representative came to give us a 15 minute estimate for some proposed work.  The estimate was super high; we went with someone else.  SINCE the put our address in their computer system, they have sent us monthly or bi-monthly advertisement mailings.  Since the first such mailing and after each such mailing since then, I have called the Front Desk during business hours and asked them to stop the mailings.  EACH TIME they claim they will not send any more mailings.  However, they have never stopped.  We just got the Holiday Mailing.  This time I left a live message with their answering service.

I GUESS THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO, OR NO INTENTION TO, REMOVE US FROM THEIR MAILING LIST FOR LIFE.  NEVER USE THEM BECAUSE THEY WILL BUG YOU FOREVER.

I was not only told that I needed to replace a multiple pieces of equipment in my house that did not need replacing, I wad significantly overcharged for a new hotwater heater, water softener and recirculation pump. Then when the work was not done correctly they said that I ruined my recirculation pump and that it was not under warranty and I would have to pay for another one.  Watch out for this company and get multiple quotes so this doesn't happen to you!

Another employee told me that Nick does this to everyone but they won't fire him because he brings in so much money with his price gouging and dishonesty!
