I called Thomas about an electrical issue I had and he was very up front with me that it was a job that he did not do. I really appreciated his honesty. He told me a ballpark price of what to expect from other electricians.

I had a relatively simple job, but kind of unusual. I just needed some custom wiring I did inspected by a pro, and Scott was very willing to help me out. He made some excellent observations, did some tests, and had some great advice that I was able to implement. I would absolutely reach out and use him again. He struck me as a solid, trustworthy guy, the type you'd want to hire for a project.

Loius was excellent!! He responded right away, scheduled an appointment very quickly and was very punctual. On top of doing excellent work, he cane back after my request to install a different rod a week later and didn't charge a penny. Highly recommend and will definitely hire him in the future.

Great, professional and efficient service and reasonably priced! I had an electrical issue in my home, requested a quote and within 10 min, Alejandro called for a consultation and within an hour was able to make it to my home (on a Friday afternoon no less). He was friendly, professional and very efficient and was able to diagnose and fix my issue quickly (all COVID protocols followed). I will be recommending to my neighbors and friends and Raptor will absolutely be my first call if I have electrician needs in the future. Thank you!

I called Dan to install three ceiling fans in my new home. He did a good job and didn't stop for a moment until all the work was done. I didn't post a review then as I thought he did what was expected.
Two months later two of the fans started clicking, so I messaged Dan on a Sunday asking him to call me to see what could be done.
Less than an hour later Dan came by and spent more than 90 minutes diagnosing what the problem might be disassembling and reassembling, tightening, testing. Eventually all was well again and when I asked what I owed him for his travel and time he said nothing, consider it warranty work.
No one is perfect but a guy who stands behind his work is refreshing and should be rewarded.
Dan is my guy for future work.

We recently built a studio addition and needed electricity installed. Like most people, we really researched the ins and outs of the project so that we would be able to understand how to explain our needs to our electrician, vice versa, and ultimately not be taken by those who may be scrupulous or incompetent. We contacted nearly a dozen companies, some big and some solo with mixed results. After getting about half a dozen out to our project for bids, we became more familiar with those who charged us more merely because of their big name (translated to mean that you would be paying for their overhead) and the size of our project (small) to those who wanted to do the work but did not want to pull permits.
We randomly stumbled across James Cox and his company on Yelp. We were hesitant initially, based on the limited reviews, but that didn't stop us. James was prompt and came over when promised to bid on our project. We explained what we needed and he took the time to explain the process to us and recommended a few options we hadn't thought about. He then worked up a very fair bid based on what we had requested. We learned that James had several years experience at a big company prior to starting his own company. We really respected the fact that he was a small business owner, a straight forward kind of guy, and you could tell that he took pride in his work and that he was the type of person in which his reputation meant everything.
James and his crew came out to begin work on our project. They handled everything with the City of Austin regarding permitting and we never had to do anything on that end. He and his crew appeared on time as promised. His crew was polite, worked diligently, and when they made any mistakes (which amounted to 1 very small mistake in cutting into a sprinkler line), they acknowledged it and corrected it promptly. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous to my entire family.
Because the project spanned several weeks and in phases, James did not insist on payment upfront, but requested payment in installments based on meeting certain work milestones with the final payment contingent upon satisfaction of the work and passing of the final city inspection. Contacting James has been easy as he responds to both phone and e-mails.
We have been really pleased with James and his crew. They are true professionals and very skilled in their craft. They are competent, honest, and take the time to listen and to provide explanation as to their work and your project. It's true that a good electrician is hard to find, but I don't think you would be disappointed if you went with this company. I would use James again and would recommend him without reservation to any of my friends, co-workers, and/or family members.

Rick was awesome! He installed my hot tub electrical box. I am glad to see him still in business as it's taken me years to write this review for him (sorry!). I still think of how friendly, professional, and fair he was with pricing.
I now have a new hot tub, same electrical box. It was installed now 9 years ago! LOL
I highly recommend him for any electrical needs.

Great work, excellent communication (before, during, and after work), attentive, clean, and fair-priced. They installed floodlights and ran a dimmer switch for me and I'll surely utilize their service in the future.

I had a great experience with Jeremy and already have plans on referring him and using him for my next project! He installed a recessed light over my shower, a new Bluetooth bathroom vent fan, and an LED mirror. His work is quality, he is very communicative, and he is just an overall nice guy. Highly recommend!

Jacob is a great knowledgable electrician and a super considerate person. If you read this I hope you give Jacob the opportunity to work on your project/ repair so you can see how helpful and honest he is. Jacob is definitely someone I would recommend.

Tried to contact Remedy Electric today for a rough quote for some electric work that we needed done in our backyard. We had an above ground pool installed and required a junction box at the sight of the pool.
I was told by Teresa, and I quote, We do not provide free Estimates, the fee will be 50.00 dollars This will allow the electrician to Determine what is needed to give you the price, If you accept the Estimate, at the Compilation of Project the 50.00 Dollars will be removed if charged.
I'm really shocked. Of the twenty-two companies with certified and bonded professionals I contacted, today, all of them gave me a rough quote, and every single one of them offered to come and provide a true quote at no charge. I'm just really surprised that this company refuses to be competitive in its own market!
There's no way I would ever entertain future work with a company so disinterested in garnering my business. To not even _try_ to offer something... it just smacks of being completely disinterested, and that's not a good sign in a field where attention to detail, and commitment to perfection is vital!
Strangely surprising, and a complete disappointment.
[Also, whenever a professional responds so illiterately, that's a bad sign, as far as I'm concerned.]

7/7:
Teresa,
I contacted 21 other companies who do bonded, certified electrical work to get quotes, yes, I did. I did not say that I contacted them solely by phone. In truth, it was a combination of work done through email and by phone. Why that comes as such a shock, I don't know.
Maybe it's just that electronics (like computers and cell phones) are foreign to you, but a lot of us use them to communicate on a daily basis. You seem so confused by the quotation process!
You asked how your competitors knew the particulars of the job? Simple. They asked me.
As I said, I was looking for a rough quote, and got them from several of your competitors without any confusion, or contempt. The top three that I'm workings with-- companies rated higher than yours on both Yelp and Angie's List-- saw your response, and had commentary of their own to add. Like, one said, Why doesn't she just try asking those questions beforehand, rather than ranting about them in response! While another added, How difficult is it to respond in email, like we did? It seems like your competitors weren't nearly as confused about having a conversation on the internet. For you, mores the pity.
I'm not looking for a handyman service. I'm looking for an insured company with top-notch professionals. A company committed not only to excellent service, but to doing a job-- not cheaply -- but economically. And, seriously, if you think that's a _bad_ thing... it's really no wonder several of your customers complain about your prices (look it up).
Speaking of looking things up! You might want to look up the word 'slander' in a dictionary (to do this, get in your car, drive down to the public library, ask the librarian what happened to the card catalog, find out they've been out of use for the last ten years, then ask for help on how to do a search on the internet-- I know how much technology confuses you).
You've accused me of maliciously or falsely defaming your company, but what I've done here is simply quote (and verbatim, too) from your response to me on Angie's List. Then I provided my opinion on our communique. Everything that I've posted here has been 100% factual. No lies necessary. Let's face it, lady, I don't have to lie to make you look bad, you do just fine on your own.
By the way, the word you're actually looking for is 'libel', not slander (one is written, while the other is spoken). I get that you have problems with words, though, so.... I think it would really help if you invested in a dictionary (or, and I'll give you this piece of advice for free (despite how valuable my time is!) You can always use dictionary.com. Very handy! Don't worry, no need to thank me!).
Before I go, I had a final word about this cheap, cheap, cheap thing you keep doing. You said that I said I was looking for the work to be done cheap. Here's what I said in my original Angie's List response: I'm hoping it's something we can get done simply and relatively cheaply. You have several specials, and I'm not sure if any of them could be used/combined, but I'd really like to see if I could get a quote for the parts/labor.
It's sad when a customer can't ask for quality and value without being crudely mocked by the company they came to for service. Why anyone would ever work with you... when they can see, word-for-word, how little respect you have for not only a potential new customer, but for service done at a value, too... is beyond me.

I had owner of live wire at my residence to do electrical work and cannot express just how professional and courteous he is. I highly recommend Dusty for anyone that is wanting a honest and affordable electrician. Nice to have a reliable company with such determination to make sure customer is satisfied. Thank you Live wire for your prices and hard work

I had to have some outlets replaced and a quote on installation for a Tesla charger. Lesley got back to me within the hour and fit me into the schedule the same day. He was extremely professional and gave detailed explanations of everything. Very fair prices as well. Highly recommend this company.

I am very pleased. They replied immediately to my Yelp request, their price for a service call was the lowest of several quotes. Arrived as scheduled. At first they didn't want to try to fix the broken ceiling fan, said it's very unlikely to succeed. Wanted to just replace the light box. But I strongly urged them to try because this fan/light is a beautiful antique. They did try, and they succeeded.
