Best Wiring Repair in Houston TX
On time, friendly, knowledgeable. Pricing was fair and the work that was done was quality. I would highly recommend!

Paul Richard Electric came out exactly on time, and more than exceeded expectations. I had a small issue with my outlet and they honored the pricing they told me over the phone. I will definitely be calling them again for any additional work I have.

I called two days ago and the electrician and apprentice came yesterday. They looked at what needed to be done. I wanted to purchase my own light fixture to save money. They returned today and I have lights! Shaderick knew what he was doing and was very professional. I will definitely use them again if and when needed. I paid less than what others wanted to charge, for which I was grateful!

The technician was able to come out the very next day. He was very helpful and described the problem really well. He fixed the issue and we have not had problems since! A very reasonable price. Thank you!!

My husband and I were looking for a quality, reliable handyman to install lights over the kitchen island. We located Geovanny with City & Beyond-- he responded right away and we established a time for him to come over ( and he did so on a Sunday, which was a major factor for selecting his service). Geovanny and his team did an amazing job--they were thorough, professional and courteous.
They didn't leave a trail of rubbish behind--the only reason why we knew the were there is that we had our beautiful lights installed. I am looking forward to using Geovanny again when we find ceiling fans to install.
What I appreciated most about Geovanny is the price he quoted was the price we paid. Good value for the money.

I had them out twice. The first time was to fix a circuit that kept tripping and a follow up to improve future issues. Great service and support plus professionals who know what they are doing. Great experience and will definitely call them again if any electrical issues arise in the future.

Needed a power outlet installed outside on a brick wall. They arrived on time, completed the job in just over an hour, and left no mess. The job looks very professional and now I am ready to watch the Astros on the patio!

Folks on the phone were courteous, their technician had short-term availability, technician who came to my house was professional and courteous - all around a great experience. He handled a number of tasks which I, a DIYer, was unable to handle, or did not have the tools/know-how to do.

I routinely try to support local area businesses. I gave Mr. Electric a try with an electrical issue and was not disappointed. I experienced a quick response, professional service and competitive pricing. Will use again!

Otis and his crew were the only ones out if six local electricians to call me back. They not only were able to get me in the next day, but they arrived ahead of schedule. Otis kept me updated on the price during the process and always thoroughly explained what the issues were. We will 100% call him again and thoroughly recommend him and his crew!

Eric came out promptly to provide an estimate and determined we can go with a different solution for the problem. He was extremely friendly, prompt and informative. Recommended based on honesty alone. Much appreciated, Eric!

Jacque was so awesome! He was communicative, on time and did a great job. So kind. Will definitely call again!

Excellent. Diligent and knowledgeable they searched and tracked the electrical line and
probabilities, even climbed up through the attic.
Apparently a loose connection was the cause in the attic wiring. They reconnected and everything is working well now.

The work was done on time but I found the charges very high. The electrician replaced a 100-150 amp main 2 pole breaker which sells for about $150 in the hardware store, so I would expect to pay perhaps $300 for the breaker. It took him about 3 hours to do the diagnostics and repair. I would expect to pay about $250 for labor, for a total charge of about $550.
My bill was nearly twice that at $965. I believe the charges were outrageously high and would not recommend the company for that reason

For starters, I have never written a negative review before; however, the deceptiveness and quality of Abacus's performance on my furnace and ductwork repair has finally pushed me over the edge.
I contacted Abacus on Monday, Feb 26th requesting inspection/repair for our upstairs heater that was not working. A technician arrived at our house an hour later and spent 30 minutes looking over the system before saying that, due to overheating, the internals (circuit board, limit switches, etc) had burned out and would need to be replaced which they estimated at $1500. They also recommended that we do some repair work on the ductwork in our attic (straighten ducting runs, reduce crimping, install air mixing boxes, etc) which they estimated at $1300. I agreed to the plan and while the costs seemed on the high side, I was excited to have this all repaired and the issue behind us.
As they were scheduling the repairs for Wednesday, they requested upfront payment for the work and stated that they needed confirmation to get the parts. All the info / payments were handled on a handheld tablet which they only showed to me for signatures (when the rest of the screen was blacked out) so it was not until I received the invoice (in my junk mail 2 days later) did I come to learn that they had signed me up for a $99 membership that I was not told about nor did I want. Not only did they mislead me on the invoice, they forged my signature (very poorly) on the membership explanation sheet. To me this is a violation of trust, extremely unethical, and quite possibly illegal.
When the Abacus folks returned on Wednesday to perform the furnace and ducting repair that I had already paid for, they showed up an hour late and completed the job in one hour. When I asked what had been repaired on the ductwork, they said that one run (3 ft) had been straightened and that they hadn't been able to reach anything else. When confronted with the price for that repair they said that they were not authorized to negotiate price and that I would have to contact management. They again handed me a handheld tablet to sign on (with no context) and left the house. At no point did the crew demonstrate to me that the heater was functional nor did they show me any of the ductwork repairs that I paid for (luckily I had taken before and after photos).
For three hours after the crew left, I have had the thermostat upstairs set to heat (85 degrees while the ambient room temp is 73 degrees) and not once has the furnace turned on - the heater obviously still does not work. In addition, the ductwork repairs which were supposed to help increase airflow left all but one 3 ft section in identical positions. I feel like I have been lied to and robbed by the people at Abacus. Dealing with this company has been hands down the worst customer experience of my life. If you are considering repair, replacement, or other work, save your time, money, and sanity and take your business elsewhere.
