Best Pump Repair in Phoenix AZ
We all hope for good products and good service when we deal with a company. American Home Water and Air is beyond good; in fact, this is an excellent company in all respects. From my first call, to my meeting the next day with Tom, who was all facts and no sales pitch, to our installers Fidel and Junior; Mary and I could not have asked for more. Imagine talking to a sales rep (Tom, who's also one of the owners) one day and having the complete water softening unit plus a reverse osmosis drinking water system installed flawlessly the next day. As to the price; I spent a lot of time on the telephone and the internet ... anyone that was less was selling junk and everyone that had similar products (not necessarily as good either) wanted hundreds of dollars more and days to install. When you are only have eight days to complete the finishing touches on a fully renovated home, you really appreciate the efficiency of these folks. I highly recommend this company. After reading this, also look at the PS that resulted from the owner's attention. I was out of town and received a call that a heater in a rent house was not working. Called Hays--first time I used them. They told me that a service call was $70 plus repairs and that the technician would call to authorize repairs. When the call did not come I called the tenant. The technician had come and gone--discovered it was only the gas valve in the off position--turned it on, furnace was working, and left. Got a call from Hays asking for $160. According to the technician, the extra $90 was for the safety check. I mailed a check so they have no cause for complaint.
This does not square with all the previous glowing reviews.
Does this deserve one star? Yes--they should have been more up front about the charges.
PS. The owner called and admitted a mistake in the charges. It has to do with what the technician writes down and this technician was new to the company. A refund is being processed. Will raise the rating another notch when received. I will try them again and then Hays may deserve a 5 star rating.

Its not easy to find honest service providers you can trust. My first estimate from another company was $1700.00 but Bob came to the house and fixed my ac for $320.00. Thanks for being honest.

Brian and his gang were amazing! Fast, efficient and knowledgeable. I had been using the same AC guys for almost 17 years and something had changed within their services that made me search elsewhere. I got 4 quotes for 2 different houses and learned a lot about AC's from each of the Reps. I liked all of them. Each of the estimates given were detailed, but Brian won me over. His crew that has been with him forever and he has a large team - so you don't have to wait if you have an issue. I got a brand new system and will have them replace the unit on my other home next. I highly recommend them and they already went to rescue a co-worker's mom's condo unit the following day that I sent them his contact info. They were so grateful! Good job guys!

This is an updated review, our AC stopped working in the middle of June in Phoenix AZ. After some research I found a company called Larson. They had good reviews but when I spoke to them I felt like they were trying to sell this contract that I didn't want so that's when I found Freddy's online. I called Freddy on a Sunday morning and he explained that he was very busy, he could maybe see us in the later evening but if something changed he would let me know. 2 hours later (early afternoon) he called and said he was close by and he got to us early! After a short period of time he explained to me that he had pinpointed the problem. It was my coil that had a leak. I told him that coil had been replaced recently by Collins Comfort and instead of trying to sell me so he could do the work, he mentioned that I should call Collins Comfort first. He told me that Collins Comfort should come out and fix it for free. So I called and he was right. Collins Comfort explained to me that all the labor, parts and work are free of charge but there is no coil at the moment and that my AC would be down until they could get the coil from the manufacturer. Collins Comforts Technician said that there was nothing they could do and to get a hotel until the coil arrived. After 2 days in a hotel, Freddy called me to check up on the AC. I told him what was going on and he said he would stop by the house later. He showed up to our house with a plan to do a temporary fix until our part arrived. Something that Collins Comfort never mentioned. Freddy treated us like family. Freddy was always thinking about the best interest of his customer. Freddy never tried to take advantage of us he always gave us the best advice for our pockets even if that meant him not getting the job! Freddy honesty and integrity is something very hard to find now days. Our AC is still working perfectly on this temporary fix while we wait on our coil that still hasn't arrived and Freddy just called me again recently to see how our AC is doing. Thank you Freddy! You saved us! You saved us a lot of money and you saved our home! I will always recommend you to all my friends and family!

Last night we came home from work at 8 PM and our AC was not working and our Nest thermostat was saying there was no power to the thermostat. The circuit was not tripped, so I knew we had a serious problem. I called American Cooling and Heating, and they answered the phone right away. Tim arrived at our house within an hour, and discovered that our air handler disconnect switch was bad. This is literally just a standard light switch that turns the unit off, and he doesn't have one on his truck because it's not something an air conditioning company usually deals with. In fact, he said he has never seen this switch fail in all his years of work! Fortunately this is a $2 part that I can install myself, so I went to buy a light switch to replace the faulty one. I bought it, I installed it, and the AC came back on right away. Thanks for the excellent troubleshooting Tim!

Paul was the technician that serviced our A/C for routine maintenance. He was prompt and I also received a courtesy phone call with ETA before he made his way over to our house which I GREATLY appreciated. He was very professional and explained the work he had completed and also the proposed preventative work he recommends we get done to ensure our unit lasts as long as possible before having to replace it. Our air conditioner stopped working right before we were heading out of town. When we got back to town we called 3 different companies to get a quote - all with very high yelp ratings. Our last meeting was with Kevin. We were impressed with his knowledge, ideas to fix our loud vent and how he really cared about making it right. When all of the quotes came back we decided to go with Kevin not only because his quote was the lowest (by quite a bit), but also because we trusted him which is needed for an air conditioner in the summer in phoenix. He squeezed us in a few days later. He was right on time for the appointment and he and his team stayed until it was perfect. Kevin, Justin and Javier were knowledgable, respectful and polite. They all went above and beyond for us to have the best experience and a fantastic system, quieter vent and even installed our new ecobees. Kevin even filed all the rebate paperwork and came over to confirm everything is running smooth when he got our signatures. We will always go to Kevin for our climate needs.

A/C went out about 9 pm on a Fri night. Called Alternative Air at 8:00 am Sat. morning, left message; called a 2nd time, left another message. We were about to try someone else when they returned our call around 8:30 but could not come out until 3:30-4:00. They called at 4:15 pm and said they would be here in 10 min., and then arrived 30 min. later at 4:45 pm. It was just a capacitor, quick and easy fix, done by 5:00 pm - and charged $160!!!! That seems a bit excessive for a 15 min. fix, and that included the time he sat in his air conditioned truck while writing up the bill. Have no problem when earlier calls take longer than expected and arrive late for us, but don't call at 4:15 and say you'll be here in 10 min and don't show up for 30 min. You can get anywhere in Maricopa in 10-15 min. max. He should have said he'd be here in 30 min., not 10, and it would have been okay. He was courteous and professional otherwise, got the job done - but still think $160 for a 15 min. job is ridiculous. One other thing, they don't itemize the billing, just a flat $160. Did not break down how much for the part, how much for labor. I don't think the capacitor could have cost that much, and if you figure about $100 in labor for 15 min., that comes to $400 an hour labor charge, assuming with mark-up about $60 for the part. Think we might try someone else next time. Prices should be estimated before the work is done - sort of too late once they do the work and hand you the bill.

I can't begin to say how grateful I am to have Hansen Family Plumbing as our go to plumbing service! We dont have many issues but when we need something installed, fixed or repaired, Erik and his team have ALWAYS been OUTSTANDING! Today we had the pleasure to meet Zack! I was having a tough time finding someone to fix my Midea Air-handler, as it is not a common brand of A/C. When I called 1800Plumber+Air, Ben answered the phone and listened to exactly what the issue was- he took down the model of my unit and actually talked through the repairs with his tech before sending him out. The other companies I called (Goettl and George Brazil)just have an answering service and they do not relay any important info to their techs, thus having them show up only to say they could not fix it or find parts.
Ben listened to my issues and the awful experiences i had at the other places and said he would take care of it for me and that the tech he was sending, Travis - was the best. Travis showed up and quickly fixed my A/C (needed a new control board) and only charged me half of what the others said a new board would cost if they could find one to fit my unit. I will never call anyone else again but these guys for plumbing and A/C!!!

Contacted Goettl when we noticed our Rheem 50 gallon gas hot water heater was leaking. The unit was still under warranty (parts/tank +/or replacement) and is easily accessed in our garage. While the Goettl service guy who came out was very nice, he was unable to replace the unit the same day and arranged for another tech to come out for the replacement. The total bill? Over $1400 (including a Warranty Water Heater handling fee..)!!! This prompted me to contact Rheem to ask about the warranty and if there *should* be any charges for the new replacement unit; their staff, upon hearing of the charge, was concerned that we could have been inadvertently charged for another hot water heater AND the installation and suggested I call to get more information and detail about the charges. The representative stated quite clearly that the amount of the invoice sounded unusually high. After several phone calls to Goettl, I still did not get a good answer to what EXACTLY the Warranty Water Heater handling fee was for (I got a somewhat mumbled response from the Goettl rep about paperwork and getting the unit out to the house. The remaining nearly $1200 was for the installation. When asked what the hourly rate was I was informed that they use a flat rate. Again - this unit is on the ground floor and easily accessible in a garage; there was nothing complex about the space or the installation. While the techs were nice and professional and we have had no issues with the unit since the install, based on the ill defined handling fee and a VERY high installation price, we will not be using Goettl again.

I've used Parker & Sons before and received great service so I went back to them for some other work. This review isn't about the quality of their work but the lack of contact when missing the appointment and then the follow-up by customer service. I scheduled several jobs, far enough in advance to ensure their planning would fit both of our schedules. I scheduled several different jobs; A/C service, plumbing, and electrical. I took the day off for the first appointment for the electrical work, which included several different tasks...probably 3-5 hours of work. They provided a window between 0800-1200. I waited until 1215 and called to inquire about appointment. I'm a big fan of being on-time or at least calling and letting me know there could be a delay...courteous thing to do. I told the phone agent to cancel all the pending appointments and the annual maintenance agreement...talked me into based on the discount for being a member. I figured with the amount of work / parts I was looking to have done it would be beneficial. I'm not a fan of these maintenance plans and it was somewhat annoying that I couldn't make the full annual payment verses giving them a card to do monthly payments. I figured a full up-front payment would maybe lower the total for the plan, but you're actually charged more verses the monthly payments, go figure. The following week, 7/20, I received a call from the customer service manager. I was at work and missed her call. She did leave voicemail. I called later that afternoon ~4pm, left a voicemail for her stating if I missed her call during my working hours, I would call back. She called the next day, left VM and I called her later that afternoon...another VM. Her next call, once again during my work, another VM. She said I must be out golfing and not answering...obviously she never listened to any of my voicemails. I've called back twice more, left VM but alas...no further response, now in the week of 7/27. I hope everyone else has a much better experience. Time to start hunting for new companies.
