We used Jayk's to install a instant water heater and move a natural gas line.

They were on time and got work done for the quote.  

We changed scope while they were there and they were gracious about it, accommodating us quickly.

I wanted a new water heater to replace my aging one.  It was going to be a challenge since it is nestled in a very tight space and there is no place else to put it.  I used Yahoo's request a quote feature and contacted five plumbers.  Three never contacted me back.  One gave me a quote on a larger unit that probably wasn't going to fit so, we might have to build out a bit.  But Eugene at The Art of Plumbing got back to me the very next morning.  He asked me for some measurements and posed a few questions, and then came back with a quote that was half of what I was anticipating having to pay.

I was skeptical since it seemed too good to be true.  A low price, and he was able to get a replacement for my rather oddly-sized and oddly-configured water heater?  But he did.  He found the exact same model, brand new and not refurbished.  As soon as I was ready for the installation he was too.  He and his associate put down heavy tarps to protect the floor as the new heater was wheeled in, installed it in a matter of a few hours, cleaned up all of the mess, stayed long enough to make sure it was working properly, and then charged me exactly what he had quoted.

The new heater works perfectly -- even better than the old one, in fact, since the setting is lower but the water is still just as hot.  Hopefully I will not need any plumbing work in the future, but if I do, I know who I'm calling.

These guys have saved my home TWICE so far in 2020 with plumbing emergencies. The professionals that came were very kind and knowledgeable. Even during the COVID19 crisis, they are exceptional.

When I returned home from a few days away, I discovered a small leak. I called Wake Forest Plumbing and they came out a few days later to fix it. They could have come the next day but I couldn't get out of my work commitment. It was easy to schedule the appointment and I was given a two hour time frame of when to expect the crew. They even called 15 minutes or so before they arrived.

Once they got here I showed them the water pressure regulator with the small drip and they knew just what to do. My builder did the plumbing line wrong which this company discovered by doing a test first so knew that they had to do this work differently.

Service was professional and friendly and they even cleaned up some water that dripped. The price was much lower than I expected as well.

Wake Forest Plumbing will be the first place I call when I need plumbing work in the future.

He was even able to fit me into his schedule the same day which was a blessing. He was knowledgeable, polite, and worked quickly. I highly recommend this business for repair needs.

Clay and Cam were excellent! They fixed the issue at a reasonable price, were professional, and knowledgeable. I will be using this company (and preferably Clay and Cam) for any plumbing and electric services in the future as it is a relief to know honest, trustworthy, and solid people like this as a homeowner.

Pop quiz, hotshot.  It's 9:00pm, you're exhausted from a long day of whatever it is you do, and you're making your way to the couch for a little R&R.  Mid-stride, you step in something wet.  At first you're like, Really, dog?  You peed on the floor?  Thing is, the dog is sitting right next to you, lapping up the mystery liquid.  This isn't pee.  Looks like you've got yourself a leak.

You pore over the neighborhood listserv and Yelp looking for a good plumber.  Ultimately, you select Michael Clough and crew at Durham Plumbing Services.  While they don't whistle while they work, they do make delightful Snoop Dogg references and occasionally find themselves in a variety of slapstick comedic type scenarios.  Five hours later, your dining room is dry, the leak is fixed, and the guys from Durham Plumbing Services have swept your floor.  Did I mention that Michael's wife and sister-in-law are both Yelpers?

I was contacted by Plumb Serve using Yelp! and The next day they came and checked out all the issues we were having in our bathrooms. The following week they were able to get in here and the job was a lot bigger than expected as we have an older home and they went above and beyond to get the job done correctly. It was supposed to be a couple hour job which turned into a over 12 hour job. They took care of us as if we were family and made the process very smooth. We had to have both showers fixed, new water shutoff also fix a leak on an outside spigot.

We will definitely be using them again and I suggest that anyone that comes across their name to give them a call. They are family run small business and they take care of you the same.

We have hired a PM to manage our property since we are living out-of-state. My tenant has a leak in the Kitchen faucet, and we normally let our PM to handle it for us. This time though, the quote from my PM network was outrages for just a simple kitchen faucet replacement!
While I'm not a contractor myself, I am handy enough to know it'd only take less than 1 hour to finish and I can purchase an industrial grade faucet online for less than $100 for the part so we looked up handyman on here.
Able to get a hold of Seth with Sublime Handy work and the his fee is much more reasonable!
Seth has no review and tbh I was skeptical. There is another handyman that has 100% 5 stars rating but they are fully booked until end of July.
I'm able to connect with Seth over the phone and he's very responsive with my text (over the July 4th weekend) as well so I took the bet.
While I'm not there in person, I can fully rely on him.  Seth would update me on timing when he's heading to my unit, send me pictures after he'd done and upload invoice for me via email. Everything is so seamless. He'll be my go to handyman going forward and definitely recommend him to anyone in need for handyman.

My first floor toilet started leaking. I received a quick response from Xprt to my need for services, had an appointment within a couple hours. My toilet was checked and an assessment of the issues was provided along with recommended services. The toilet was repaired and reinstalled with a new seal. The cost was reasonable and as quoted. I will definitely use them again.

I called Blantons to come and look at my tankless hot water heater that wasn't giving out hot water. When I called, they told me there would be a $116 service charge and then possible charge if something needed to be fixed. Of course, I understand that.
The technician comes out to my house, takes a look at water heater, breaks a lever on the box next to water heater. Connects a loose wire. Technician was there less than 40 minutes. Then he comes around with his invoice and he charges me $360 for diagnostics. Never told me prior to doing anything that it would cost this much. My total was $417, for less than 40 minutes of work. He also put in the invoice that he diagnosed the problem for 45 minutes and then took 30 more minutes to fix. Not true, I have it on my cameras and I stayed with technician the whole time.
I paid the bill because I didn't know what else to do. I immediately called the company to speak to them about this matter, was asked how much I think I should have to pay. Then was told that the manager said I shouldn't have paid and he can't give refund now that I have already paid but he would give $50 credit.. no thanks! I asked to speak to the manager and he conveniently just left to go to the field, he was supposed to call me by end of day and surprise.. he never did.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible customer service and seems like they adjust their prices based on what they think they can get away with.

I asked for an estimate and they quoted $50 for an estimated.  I was very clear over the phone that my well pump was not working.  They came in and the charged me $200 to confirm nothing else was wrong.  Then another $300 to pull the pump out of the well to confirm pump is bad.  Then they wanted $6500 to replace  the pump.  I just paid the $500 and got them out.

When I called to complain they were giving me some weird explanation about their standard process/work to replace pump.  

My question is why they did not tell me that over the phone or at least when the tech  arrived first.

will never use them again.  Horrible People.

Con Artists, who will find Unicorns and fairies poking holes in your HVAC system. I strongly believe that they are paying someone to make up multiple fake accounts on Google, just so they can give 5 Star reviews. There's no way possible, unless it was just me and my 6 neighbors who also think that Blanton's is shady. Your money, not mine.

Courteous but trying to upsell?

Technician came by to look at a leaking spigot for us and told us it will need to be replaced by cutting hole in the wall. I inspected the anti-siphon valve after he left and turned out the seal was slightly loose on the valve and just needed it to be readjusted and leak has now resolved. I was disappointed that he did not bother to inspect the spigots and recommended a replacement. Also stated how he has never seen the brand of spigots on our house, but we found the exact spigots at home Depot and lowe's.

Horrible experience. Completely misdiagnosed the drain problem. Then they had the audacity to send me an estimate for work not needed--nearly $3,000! I asked for a second opinion and, sure enough, it was a simple fix which was taken care of on the spot. Be aware.
