We purchased a new stove and needed a gas line installed. When we contacted The Art of Plumbing, they were able to estimate the cost by communicating via texts. Other companies did not want to provide a quote without visiting our home.  The quote from The Art of Plumbing was the most appealing. They gave me a quote that was over $1000 less! Denis showed up on time, worked hard, had a great attitude, was polite, and courteous! I would recommend these guys to anyone! It's stressful to find a trustworthy company to perform significant repairs in the home, but these guys made it so much easier. Thank you!

I highly recommend giving Eugene and the Art of Plumbing a call for plumbing issues. After giving him a call and explaining an emergency issue with my 3rd story plumbing, we made an appointment the next day and he was able to assess and resolve it a little over an hour. He was very friendly and respectful of the spaces he was working in. I'm pleased to know that he does other work involving kitchens, sinks, and water heaters and will remember him if I ever need them serviced.

I called them and sent them a follow up email requesting that that they call me to set up an appointment to disconnect my kitchen plumbing prior to having countertops installed and then to set up an appointment to have the plumbing reconnected but never heard back from anyone.

Perfect.  Responded to my call quickly.  Came out two days later and did the job well and on-time.  Would definitely use them again.

Recently found myself in the market for a new hot water heater. Not super urgent as my current was slowly dying, hadn't yet failed. I did my due diligence and reached out to nearly 10 businesses for quotes. I received a pretty wide spectrum of responses both in/off Yelp. Eugene from the Art of Plumbing was both one of the most competitively priced but the most responsive and helpful. He was willing to work me into his schedule quickly, and after some winter weather interfered with our plan, rescheduled quickly and accommodated my work schedule - he worked in my garage throughout the day and texted me when finished for me to remotely close my garage door. Cleaned up everything, took away the old tank, added a new expansion tank, and was readily available via text and checked in with me several times after the service to make sure everything was well. Highly recommended! Will certainly use him for plumbing needs in the future!

Had two quick issues that I needed taken care of, and Eugene fixed them both. Took him a day or so to get back to my Yelp message, but once we established contact he was able to get to my house the same day. Also way cheaper than I had expected. Definitely going to be my go-to guy for plumbing.

We had a new faucet installed by Michaels and sons a few weeks ago. After the faucet was installed the hot water had extremely low pressure. I asked the technician what the issue was and he informed me that it must just be a faulty faucet. To his credit they did replace a certain gasket has been for me that some pieces of rubber had broken off during the install, however that replacement did not solve the problem. In the end, they're file analysis was that the new faucet was faulty and that was the end of it. I was skeptical, and so I contacted Eugene to come out and take a look. He took the whole faucet apart and troubleshot every line. He eventually found a piece of rubber had broken off during the initial install that had gotten stuck in the hot water line which cannot get out due to the backflow preventer. Eugene did a great job, he truly is an artist. Our service call wasn't just another ticket to him, it was a job to finish and a problem to solve, and he sure did. If you want a job done right, call Eugene!

Alex did great repair work on two separate visits: water heater gas leak and replacement of damaged toilet flange. He wore a mask the whole time and respected social distancing due to Covid.

Called Eugene around 6:30 pm on a Wednesday after coming home to discover the downstairs bathroom toilet tank had overflowed and water seeped out around the floor in and out of the bathroom. Wife was freaked out. Fortunately, Eugene arrived promptly and assessed the situation and thoroughly explained what the problem was and a solution. He replaced the toilet flush system then and there. Moreover, he went through and checked the water pressure and looked over the inside/outside of the house where water had leaked through. My wife and I were extremely pleased at his efficiency and promptness. Wonderful to work with, we highly recommend him!

Eugene and his team installed a gas, tankless, water heater for me last month. I recommend Eugene highly and without reservation. He answered all of my questions up front, connected me to previous customers (a tankless, water heater is a big investment, you know!) and thoughtfully explained all of my options in terms of conventional tank vs. tankless and where to place the water heater. The team removed my old, tank heater and installed the new on-demand heater according to code and came in considerably less than the other plumbers I had contacted for quotes. I trust Eugene and his team and asked him to come back to replace an old water-pressure valve, which so improved the water pressure in my house. Honest, reliable, and responsive.

My electric bill was through the roof and I realized it was my hot water heater to blame. I got quotes from four different places and the Art of Plumbing was among the lowest. I had one quote that was a little bit lower but had a good feeling about this company. I asked Eugene to match the lower quote and he was able to! We had a problem with our water heater in the apartment, and initially I called a different company - which was my mistake. Not only did they give me an estimate for more than $700 to just change one part, they also couldn't find this part for a few days! Thank God, I contacted Eugene at The Art of Plumbing! He was super friendly, calm, professional and knew exactly what to do. He found the part at the online suppliers' in seconds, called the manufacturer to make sure all the technical characteristics would match and came over to fix our mixing valve very soon. It took him less than an hour, which obviously ended up costing me a few times cheaper than the other company had quoted! Also, Eugene offered a few other options for a solution, which I found very interesting! He said we could do different things with the faucets, in order to avoid ordering and changing the mixing valve itself if we wanted to cut the costs even more - there were ways to adjust every faucet separately and regulate different temperatures in the kitchen sink, bathroom, shower, etc. He suggested that this technique was often preferred and used by commercial properties where they need to reach different water temperatures and different outlets - this means Eugene is an expert in both residential AND commercial plumbing! I've used Eugene and his team twice. He located and repaired a leaky gas line first.  Then I left a message on Sunday night and he had someone here early Monday to replace my gas hot water heater in my attic. Fast, very friendly and professional, and fair pricing. Highly recommend.

Eugene was quick to respond to my Yelp message when I needed bathroom faucets replaced for a bathroom remodel. He did great work and left everything clean and orderly. I'll definitely call him again when I need a plumber in the future!

We got a leak in a master shower to take care of. Instead of using our regular plumbing company which went downhill in terms of quality of repairs and prices we called Eugene. He quickly identified a root cause of an issue and fixed it by replacing a master shower valve and a trim. A repair required opening of the drywall and copper piping work. After replacing a valve and testing everything Eugene closed a drywall and patched it properly, which is very nice! In addition we asked Eugene to replace a master tub faucet. We are very happy with quality of the work, communication and prices.  It is rather difficult to find a plumber you can trust, but Eugene is certainly the one we would highly recommend. We will be happy to use his services again.

The plumber from the Art of Plumbing has caused a water leak in the house. We had one of their plumbers to fix and replace the bathtub spout on 9/13th. A few days later, we noticed watermark and damage on the ceiling below the bathroom where the work was done. The plumber did not fix the issue but they have made it worse. I called the plumber from a come back and fix the issue. However, the plumber was very unprofessional over the phone and blamed the problem on the homeowner and threaten to charge more for the water leak which was caused by the plumber.

As a customer, this is very unexceptable and I do not recommend this service to anyone.

I contacted Eugene to help replace a leaking tank water heater with a tankless. He gave us a reasonable quote, answered all our questions and did a great job with installation the very next day. As a Rinnai approved plumber who guarantees his work we felt very comfortable with our quick decision to go with him. His thoughtful and friendly personality is a bonus. He will be our go to expert for future needs!

After looking at several plumbers, we decided to hire the Art of Plumbing for the install of a Rinnai Tankless Water heater.  Eugene provided detailed information during the process of determining the best plumber, best system and special feature functionality.  He is a true professional. We were delighted with his and his assistants attention to detail and their care for our home.  We look forward to having them return for maintenance, and will call them again if we have any other plumbing needs.

Our tankless water heater was not working right (hot water would turn cold after certain period of time, i.e. long showers, running water for hot bath, back to back showering, etc). I called Eugene, left a message. He called back the next day and promised to let me know what time the next day he could come look at it. He ended up coming out that same evening. He ran a diagnostic check, identified the issue and checked to make sure no damage was done to the system components or interior of unit.

He was so pleasant and professional. We were very grateful he squeezed us into the end of his work day so we could stop worrying before showers or bath that our hot water would run out.

The manufacturer gave me 3 company names to choose from to have the unit serviced. The Art of Plumbing had so many great reviews I decided to give them a call and we had a positive and great experience. We will totally have Eugene back for the annual maintenance service.

Quick response, with excellent service in an emergency situation on a Saturday. Our problem (broken water shut off valve) was fixed in a couple of hours for a reasonable price. Eugene was professional, courteous and very thorough. Highly recommend!

We have this pump and grinder in our crawl space that has been an absolute pain since we moved in to our house.

Well it died again and we called the plumber we use normally (because the original one that installed it would never return our calls) and they were going to charge an insane amount just to come out and look.

Based on Eugene's fantastic reviews, we gave him a call and he responded immediately. On a Sunday. He was able to come out the next day and he was able to fix the pump and grinder for a very reasonable amount. He even installed another alarm on the pump for significantly less than we had heard from other plumbers.

I called Eugene at The Art Of Plumbing to diagnose and repair an elusive problem with the hot water delivery system in our large (5 bathroom) home. He isolated the problem to a defective valve in the hot water recirculating loop and repaired it.  No more waiting 3 minutes running the water until it gets hot at the remote faucets and showers! I hung out around him as he worked and he explained things about my house's plumbing overall system that could be improved, but did not try to sell me on anything. He did provide advice if I wanted do some of the simpler changes myself.

In summary, Eugene is friendly,  thorough,  competent, and charges a fair price for quality work. I wish all service calls went like this!

My toilet flooded our bathroom and the art of plumbing was there so quick and responded almost instantly to the call.

Eugene of The Art Of Plumbing just installed a water heater for us in the attic of our townhouse and did an excellent job. He is really easy to work with, has good rates, and was available to come out the same day.

After doing some research, I decided I wanted to get a Bradford White RG240T6N (40 gallon, natural gas water heater) and even though his usual supplier didn't have it, Eugene was willing to call other suppliers until he found one. Given this water heater is going to be in use for many years I am very happy Eugene was willing to go to the extra effort to find the exact one I wanted.

The install was trouble free. He arrived at the time he said he would, and we used a dolly to get the water heater up to the second floor.

He then shut off the gas and water, disconnected the old water heater
from the gas and water lines and we moved it out of the way. Our old water heater was installed during construction, before the fold down attic stairs and it is 22.5 inches in diameter while the opening is only 20.5 inches, so I decided just to leave it up there.

After that we used a hoist I had already installed (rope and pulleys) to hoist the new water heater straight up through the attic fold down stair way opening.

From there it took a minor amount of maneuvering to get the new water heater in place.

After the new water heater was in place Eugene verified that the shut off valve right next to the water heater would not shut off completely, so we had that replaced with a new shut off valve.

Then he hooked up the gas and water, and verified all the fittings were leak free at the water heater. He then ran water through the faucets of the townhouse to make sure everything was working correctly.

He did notice the drain for the upstairs sink was not draining at all. It has been draining very slowly but now it was completely stopped up, so I asked how much to clear it, he said $30, I agreed to the price and he removed that pipe under the drain and cleaned it out completely and now it drains like new.

And that was it. A very pleasant guy, a hassle free install, good rates, and was available on short notice; I highly recommend him and the next time I need any plumbing work, he is the guy I will call.

Excellent!  I called the top 5 rated plumbers on Yelp to find the best price on the plumbing work that I needed to have done.  Eugene beat them all.  He is professional, polite, timely and reliable.  He did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!  I've asked him to get me some quotes on some more work!  He asked me what kind of hot water heater I wanted.  I told him a pink one.  He didn't come through on that but he did offer to paint it!  You can feel good about working with Eugene.

Took longer to install the water heater than expected, but Alex and Eugene were very polite and professional and also replaced some faulty valves as well. Eugene was responsive on yelp and charged me the lower end of the quoted price range when it was all said and done.

Eugene is a pleasure to deal with. I had a old electric water heater that started leaking and had to be replaced. I bought this heat pump water heater - higher efficiency, power saving, etc. Problem was there are very few plumbers who are certified and competent enough to install them properly.

Eugene was extremely courteous and very professional. It is immediately apparent that you are dealing with a professional who knows what he is doing. He worked for over 7 hours with very little break. He finished a daily complex job very well. I don't think I will be looking at anyone else for plumbing any more.

I just moved into a new house, and noticed there was a leaking pipe in the back, on the outside of the house. I contacted Eugene, and he sent someone over the very next day to take a look at it. Turns out, it was a water heater pressure issue. The gentleman that had come to do the job was Alex. He was very polite and knowledgeable. They got the job done within a couple of hours and fixed my annoying leaking pipe issue. The work he did was very thorough. Fair prices, but above all, customer service was great, both from Alex and Eugene. Definitely my go to company for waterheater/plumbing needs.

tl;dr:  Absolutely satisfied!  Don't let the all-five-star-reviews worry you.  These guys deserve it.

I wanted a new water heater to replace my aging one.  It was going to be a challenge since it is nestled in a very tight space and there is no place else to put it.  I used Yahoo's request a quote feature and contacted five plumbers.  Three never contacted me back.  One gave me a quote on a larger unit that probably wasn't going to fit so, we might have to build out a bit.  But Eugene at The Art of Plumbing got back to me the very next morning.  He asked me for some measurements and posed a few questions, and then came back with a quote that was half of what I was anticipating having to pay.

I was skeptical since it seemed too good to be true.  A low price, and he was able to get a replacement for my rather oddly-sized and oddly-configured water heater?  But he did.  He found the exact same model, brand new and not refurbished.  As soon as I was ready for the installation he was too.  He and his associate put down heavy tarps to protect the floor as the new heater was wheeled in, installed it in a matter of a few hours, cleaned up all of the mess, stayed long enough to make sure it was working properly, and then charged me exactly what he had quoted.

The new heater works perfectly -- even better than the old one, in fact, since the setting is lower but the water is still just as hot.  Hopefully I will not need any plumbing work in the future, but if I do, I know who I'm calling.

The Art of Plumbing is the best. We have had hot water heater issues for more than a year because one or perhaps all 3 companies stripped the anode bolt on our water heater. We decided to replace the water heater with a heat pump water heater. The first company we contacted said they don't do those type water heaters. A second and third company were contacted but failed to follow through, perhaps due to the complexity of shutting down an existing solar water heater. Regardless, my family was getting by on luke warm water for several weeks. The Art of Plumbing contacted us immediately, a day to assess what we needed, another to write up an estimate and a third day to fully install the water heater, start to finish. Without the new water heater my family was going to be looking at a weekend with cold water. Thank you so much Art of Plumbing, job well done!

Based on all the positive reviews on Yelp, I reached out to Eugene (Art of Plumbing) to do an installation of an under-sink water filter as well as a bidet installed on my toilet.  These were jobs that I thought about doing myself but decided it would be handled more quickly if I had a qualified plumber out to do this.  Eugene asked for pictures and after receiving them quoted a price.   Because of this, it was not necessary for him to come out and do an estimate, rather he came and was able to immediately do the installations.  The job was not as easy as I had expected due to the age of the plumbing in my home, and because of that, it took much longer to complete, so I expected  the initial quote to be much higher.  I was wrong!  Despite the time it took, Eugene's original quote is what I was asked to pay.  He kept everything clean while working and cleaned up whatever was necessary afterwards.  He was very engaging and was explaining things along the way.   Being new to the area, I'm grateful I have found a plumber that I can call on when needed!

I had a water heater leak and called for service. The very nice owner Eugene sent the technician to take care of it in half an hour. I changed the new tankless water heater. Very nice job and done right. The price was also reasonable for the quality job.

I had a great experience having Eugene install a pressure regulating valve, a whole house water filter, and a new water heater. He is good-natured and it is obvious that he takes pride in his work.

When I first called Eugene to get a quote for replacing our old water heater, he took the time to have a conversation with me to understand what was going on. A leaking temperature and pressure value was likely caused by overly high water pressure, and fixing the pressure should be my first priority. I decided to go ahead and replace the water heater as well, since it was over its service life, but Eugene discussed the option of waiting on that with me as well. If I had gone with the other plumbing shop that I had also contacted instead, my new water heater likely would have developed the same issue as the old one, because the root issue would not have been fixed. (And the other plumbing shop's rates were similar.)

In addition to doing great work, Eugene was friendly and easy to work with. We mostly communicated via text. There was a bit of waiting to get the initial quote back, but it was worth it. I was able to get on his schedule within a week from when I had the supplies (water filter housing I was supplying). When the big day came, Eugene and his assistant worked diligently for several hours to get the job done. It turned out I should have also bought a special bracket, but Eugene found an alternative way to attach the filter housing with supplies he had on hand. Eugene also gave me some free advice about a shower drain when he was over. I hope to work with him again in the future!

I cannot say enough positive stuff about Eugene. He was very thorough with our water heater issue and fixed it whereas another company could not. He took the time to check the entire thing. We actually have dual heaters and he took his time checking valves and draining and cleaning both systems. Seriously recommend 100%.

Communication - We had leaky sink and texted Eugene based on his great Yelp reviews - he was able to come out the same day to fix it. While he was here, we asked about our lack of a pressure reducing valve, and ultimately, based on his clear explanation, had him install the valve, too. We also peppered him with a couple of other minor plumbing questions, since he was here already. He was very patient and explained things well. I texted him after the fact with a question about the installation and he responded in a reasonable amount of time.

Pricing - I don't know how he compares to lots of other companies, but I can say that we got a quote for the pressure reducing valve from one of the big companies about a year ago when they were doing another job, and The Art of Plumbing was more reasonable.    

Only time will tell if our sink starts leaking again, but I feel confident that Eugene did a good job with the fix based on his knowledge and professionalism. I think he's going to be our new go-to plumber.

Great job installing our water heater. Reasonable rates and was very easy to work with. He helped us work through what would be the best for the house (tankless or regular) and we installed a regular water heater. Definitely would recommend for plumbing needs.

We have a leak in a bathroom sink which Eugene D via Daniel repaired 8 months ago. Brand new parts were purchased and they installed.

The entire assembly came apart and water was leaking worse than before. Eugene's response was to share that we were past their labor warranty and offered an even higher price to come out and fix again showing no concern for what seems to be poor workmanship the first time.

Another response by Eugene D, this time blaming the situation on the new parts. While trying to defend his work he admitted that they knew the product we had bought from Lowe's was not good and wouldn't last, but since we didn't ask, they installed it anyway.

This of course gives them the chance to charge us again for the same project. In my experience, this is not someone who will partner with you when/if anything goes wrong.

I needed some water line valves replaced under my sink and he got the job done in a quick and orderly fashion and everything is working fine so no complaints here. We even had a fun search for the water shut-off valve outside my house! (darn landscapers decided to bury it). Definitely would call again for any future jobs! Very friendly and professional, definitely the best plumber I've had come out the house so far.

My 15 year old gas water tank fought the good fight way beyond its life expectancy, but alas the time had come to lay it to rest. It started to leak and I knew it was time. I reached out to Dominion (the priciest), Celey's Plumbing (my regular plumbing company, and the lowest price) and The Art of Plumbing (came across them on Nextdoor, and very reasonably priced). After reading multiple 5 star reviews on both Yelp and Google, we decided to go with the Art of Plumbing and were totally satisfied with the quality of their workmanship.

Eugene and Denis were responsive, prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. What more can I say that the other reviews don't already address? They were in/out in under 3 hours. They hauled away our old heater. We talked about COVID19, Korean birthday customs, and the future projects we may have in store for them. There's no doubt we will enlist this dependable duo for our plumbing needs again. 5 stars all the way!

Called on a Thursday to schedule a preventive maintenance cleaning of my tankless water heater. A service tech came Friday morning and did the job. I received a text giving me a two hour window and a text advising me he was in his way.  Once completed I was shown the scaling materials removed from the system. Would use again.

Eugene did a great job fixing the ridiculous rube Goldberg pipe layout our house came with. Before it took 5 minutes to get hot water in the sinks, he rerouted the water and now it comes on much quicker
