Best Shower Repair in Durham NC

I need to have a hot water heater replaced and wasn't happy with the service or estimate from the first plumber that came out. I reached out to Mo Flow based on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad I found him. He was quick to respond, efficient and the communication was great. Thankful to have found a great plumber in the area!

Very honest business!!!  Our service tech, Ethan, could have blamed our leaking water on a plumbing/pipe issue but was very honest and said we did not have a plumbing problem. (Too long to post our actual problem.... It had to do with condensation.) The service call amount was very reasonable. We will definitely call them again if we have a plumbing problem. We really appreciated his honesty and integrity.

We needed our garbage disposal replaced amid all of the quarentine cooking and could no longer wait because of the slow drain and leakage. We got a fast response for a quote from the business (20 minutes tops) and an appointment available within two days. Great follow up before the appointment to confirm. Work was fast, courteous (especially considerate of social distancing and health measures), exactly as estimated, and quality. Very thankful for the service they provided today and will certainly contact again in the future.

I can't speak for all of their staff, but the employee who was sent to our house was incompetent.

I called for a shower handle being too loose. While he was there, I asked about how to find a shower drain cover that would actually fit instead of the weird one we inherited when we bought the house. He adjusted the shower handle, and then said he was going to go out and locate a drain cover that would fit the shower drain. He had also removed the top part of the shower drain so that he could find a correct size cover. He disappeared for 3 HOURS. He was gone so long that I attempted to call the business to say something, but noone picked up the phone so I didn't leave a message. The employee did return with a drain cover that he said he got from a big box store. We live in the middle of southwest Durham, so stores are very close by. He mentioned also going to a local plumbing supply company, but neither of these sides trips would have taken 3 hours.

After a couple of weeks, the shower handle again became extremely loose. I called the business back and they sent a different plumber out who correctly fixed the handle.

Flash forward four months, and the ceiling directly under the shower started to get a water spot on it. I called the company back and stated that the shower drain had been messed with during a previous visit. I was not sure if there was a leak coming from the drain, but could they send a different person out to look at this (since it seemed that the first person did not replace the drain correctly). I was refused that request and was told the original employee who came out was the one who covered my area, and he would be the person coming. He came out and said that the leak was a result of the prior work he had done. He had unscrewed the shower drain and not sealed it properly. He then fixed it.

The business was kind enough to not charge for this fix of the leak from the drain and they also sent a different person to fix the ceiling drywall that had to be cut out. The person doing the drywall repair did a good job but it was hard to get him to come out to finish up the work. I called him the same day as the drain repair. The first visit to assess the job couldn't be scheduled until a month later. The visit for the drywall repair was pretty quick, but I couldn't get him to come back for a month after that for the painting (I felt like I had to pester him to finish the job).

Flash forward to now and guess what?? There, AGAIN, is another wet spot on the ceiling underneath the shower. This is now 2 years later, and I do not expect this business to accept responsibility from work 2 years ago. But NOTHING else has happened with this drain. It is clearly from the previous work done.

I am so angry that I completely give up on this company. I have called someone else, who looked at the drain and did verify that it was not sealed properly.

I've used still water plumbing for the last 2 years on numerous jobs and he has alway done an excellent job . I would highly recommend Joe at still water plumbing.

The guys came as they were promised.  Fixed our leak quickly and in addition gave us recommendations on how to routinely unclog slow draining sink drains.  The guys aren't pretty but they now their stuff.

Lansen fixed my kitchen faucet on a Sunday afternoon and it was a hard job but well done!

Knowledgable and friendly service tech, however, the quote for the installation of a 50 gallon water heater was much too high. We had Dominion do the job for 1/3 of the quote.

I needed a faucet replaced and a leak repaired under my kitchen sink. Ron was on time, efficient, and had the project handled without issue. I would absolutely recommend Ron and will be using him in the future.

Our tankless water heater was not working right (hot water would turn cold after certain period of time, i.e. long showers, running water for hot bath, back to back showering, etc). I called Eugene, left a message. He called back the next day and promised to let me know what time the next day he could come look at it. He ended up coming out that same evening. He ran a diagnostic check, identified the issue and checked to make sure no damage was done to the system components or interior of unit.

He was so pleasant and professional. We were very grateful he squeezed us into the end of his work day so we could stop worrying before showers or bath that our hot water would run out.

The manufacturer gave me 3 company names to choose from to have the unit serviced. The Art of Plumbing had so many great reviews I decided to give them a call and we had a positive and great experience. We will totally have Eugene back for the annual maintenance service.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Rooterman.  I had a leak under my sink and had called two local plumbers who had done work for me in the past.  One was out of business and the other never returned my call.  I called Rooterman, someone answered the phone,  Rooterman arrived within an hour, diagnosed the problem as a rusted through disposal, gave me an estimate, went to get a new disposal, and installed it - all within 1. 5 hours and on top of it all Kevin was as personable a person as I have ever met.  I have already told two neighbors about the good service and I will call Rooterman Coastal Carolinas the next time I need plumbing help.

We had a broken drain pipe in our crawl space causing a terrible odor in our house. I called Jordan Plumbing on a Sunday to schedule an appointment for Monday. They came out and fixed the problem and give me free advice to fix a clogged foundation drain on my own.

Fast, fairly priced and good people.  We have used ARC for both plumbing and their electric business and they have done great work with both.

Note that this review is based on a 'feeling' (you'll see what I mean.  But perception is reality so, it's real to me.

I needed my outside hose/valve replaced since I mistakenly left the hose connected through the winter and the pipe right behind the valve cracked. I called Bull City plumbing because they have great reviews online. Yes, they were here quickly and did the job correctly.  But 1) when I called to have them come over they didn't inform me that if they didn't get the job they would charge a $49 'estimate fee' (or whatever they call it) and 2) They quoted me $258 for the job.  

It was only when I told them I had homeowners insurance a (with a $100 deductible) that I was told about the $49 fee if I didn't use them.  I didn't want to be a prick about it, and if I then paid the $49 and went with my insurance the difference would 'only' be $100.  I asked if he could come down in price a bit but he said no and, well, I said ok.  

The job took all of 15min.  So that's $258 for 30 min (if I include the initial time to look at the job).  The parts should have cost all of $10-20, if that much.  I feel that I was taken advantage of and overcharged.  Again, this is my feeling, even more so when reviewing plumbing costs online.  Again, this was a very easy job.  Easy access, quick, no expensive parts.  

So I give them 3 stars for being responsive and doing the job but subtract 2 for cost.

Nick was kind, quick, and effective. He knew early on what the problem was and even though it was the appliance rather than the connections, he gave me a reason rate for his time and make suggestions on how to get it fixed quickly and as inexpensive as possible.  Would totally use them again.

Been waiting 5 hours for a guy to come to the appointment that they set and haven't heard a word. It's not like I had anything else to do. Safe to say this is the worst customer service.

Horrible experience. Completely misdiagnosed the drain problem. Then they had the audacity to send me an estimate for work not needed--nearly $3,000! I asked for a second opinion and, sure enough, it was a simple fix which was taken care of on the spot. Be aware.
