Best Plumbing Repair in Detroit MI
Great service. Atheer Siba (aka Art) was my plumber and he was extremely friendly, polite, efficient and affordable ($85). He even taught me some DIY solutions if the problem happened again, openly recognizing that he was potentially costing himself business! Oh and he said after 9pm I could call him as a consultant if I had an issue but didn't want to spend the money on a plumber. What a guy!

Andre was able to resolve my water heater issue faster, and cheaper than any of the other plumbers I consulted. He was reliable and knowledgeable. I would use East Plumbing again!

Mike our tech was late by a hour in a half but not his fault. Internal problem. Went right to problem area but the companiescost way way to much out of line . Broken part was a18$ my price .but there estimate was - too much . So I paid the service call and called it a day. This old senior guy fixed it himself. Thought I would give a business some business. Even the local plumber who get high raves from our city never returned two calls in two weeks.
Guess I'm still a worker bee. I don't mind but select your contractors wisely. I have a hands on approach that blends with contractors. Im saying that I have the same knowledge and experience they do but I'm a senior, retired but not stupid. If a contractor is high on pricing ask why? There are lots of others out there who want the business but it's fair game in the way of gouging. Be smart and if it seems high then it is. Get other estimates and be cautious . This company was recommended on social media highly and unfortunately I couldn't afford them with a good feeling. Plus I can and did the work myself after min dollars spent . Just out $39.

Actually the second time I've had them out (2 separate issues) -- both times they were prompt, polite, cleaned up so nicely, great work and reasonably priced.

Steve is top notch. Not only does he take the time to do the job right, he also takes the time to explain to you what he's doing and why. His company did a huge job in my house - jackhammering my basement floor to remove a rotted drain pipe and replacing it with PVC. The crew was professional and knowledgeable, and they finish pretty quickly too. They are the only plumber that I'll ever hire.

Brian and John have done a couple jobs for me, neither were anything small! I do most of my own stuff, but sometimes there are problems bigger than my abilities/credentials. I waited 6 months after their last job for me, making sure the settled repairs are bonafide and my review is fair for readers. I will not ever hesitate to call them for that next problem that's coming down my calendar.

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

Looks like these folks have two listings on YELP -- I won't repeat myself but these guys are top-notch and a pleasure to work with AND we're super professional and very, very nice!

Years before I had a Yelp account I had my sewer line cleaned out. The tech broke off the snake in the drain. His response was'ah-oh, now YOU have problems. They worked with me on the repair to dig up my front yard to the tune of 2K.

First they cancelled because her hurt his leg - they promised to come the following week at 8:00 a.m. - never showed, never called. I waited a whole week because the review were good. My fault - clearly they were paid reviews because this company is terrible!

If I could leave a negative star rating, I would. When we had a flood in our basement, we called this company and were told that the clean up cost would start at $450--after the plumber started working our quote went up to $2500. Yikes! Now we get that people have different plumbing needs and different sized basements, and therefore pricing is going to vary, but $2500 isn't even sort of close to $450; a more accurate picture of what it generally costs would have been nice. My mother called the company back to get clarification on why there was such a difference in price, and the woman she spoke to was exceedingly, unnecessarily rude, saying that she'd told my mom that $450 would just be a starting point, and actually started yelling at my mother. Completely unacceptable. Bottom line: they were not as clear as they should have been with the pricing, and their attitudes/treatment of us only made this process that much more unpleasant and stressful.
Dear A&E Anytime Plumbing,
If you don't have the wherewithal, the understanding, heck, the customer service skills, to deal with people when they're going through a stressful experience, when they're being told that a majority of their items will have to be thrown out, then you're in the wrong business. Please get better training for your employees, or maybe just some new employees.

Worst service ever! Over priced! Racist!
I had them come out to check an issue. They practically force me into service, charged $320 just for trying to fix the problem. (NO THEY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM) Once, Blake, the plumber seen I didn't have cash to pay him (the money was on my card) he started tripping and saying You black mfs trying to play me like I wasn't getting my card to pay him! It was very uncalled for! I felt very disrespected! I have a recording of his disrespect and everything. Very racist company!

After scheduling an appointment online, I was contacted no more than an hour later to confirm the appointment. When John came to clear the drain, he was fast, thorough, answered my questions, and wasn't pushy like some technicians I have experienced.
Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the service and will definitely use them again.

The thermostat in our home stopped working due to a cut wire in the basement. This unfortunate incident left us without a working thermostat and, therefore, no heat. We called Hoover Electric who installed our new furnace in March 2020.
The technician arrived on time, was polite, and figured out the problem right away-he estimated the cost to be $600 which we approved- although thought the cost was extremely high. He fixed the issue by installing a new wire between the thermostat and furnace. He finished the job in approximately two hours.
With the cost being so high, we contacted the office supervisor and asked how 20 feet of wire and two hours labor could possibly cost $600? Scott called us back about our concern and he told us that a technician's time can cost up to $500/hour.
We researched online for the average cost/hour for this type of technician in our area and it ranges from $65-$120/hour. This is according to fixr.com and HomeGuide.com. There are other companies in our area. We will NOT choose Hoover Electric, in the future.
