Best Heating in Cleveland OH
Above all else, Portman Mechanical will get the job done. We had a slow leak coming from our hot water heater that seemed minor so we just wanted them to take a quick look. Mike was the service man who came to help us and I trusted him immediately, he knew what he was talking about and yet was willing to explain it to my knowledge level. As soon as Mike saw it he knew that we would need to replace the whole system. He wasn't able to do it immediately but had me set up an appointment for the following work day to have them replace it. Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to work with on the phone and we got them all set to replace it. When Mike and Chris showed up to replace the hot water heater they ran into unforeseen issues with our water shut off. I had to call the city to turn off the water but they couldn't do it until the next day. While this situation was frustrating, Mike kept his cool and kept us cool. The very next day the city turned off the water first thing in the morning and Mike and Chris showed up right after to get to work. They were working with a really weird set up from previous work done but they still got the new one installed with all the hiccups for the original quote price. I wasn't able to be there in person but if questions arose Mike was a phone call away and they really took care of it all. He even followed up that evening to see if there were any more concerns that I had. Mike, Chris, and Jennifer all were very pleasant to work with and went above and beyond. We HOPE to not need any more service in the near future but we know who will be our first call if we do need help.

This is the best experience I have had with a plumber. I have contacted others that are great, but Brian is a cut above the rest.
Brian stands behind is work. If you've worked with contractors before you will know this is something that is valuable, and rare. He is willing to make sure everything is right and will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Most OTHER contractors are hard to reach after the job is complete. Know he is NOT like this.
Brian has excellent communication and is willing to go the extra mile.
He threw in many free services and fixes he didnt charge for.
Highly recommended. Will be contacting him for my future plumbing needs.

My husband and I are so impressed! Would give them a 10/5 stars if we could. We just had ductless AC units installed. Everyone was extremely professional, and very hard working. I would use them again for any heating, cooling, or plumbing issues. Highly recommend!

The technicians are courteous, knowledgeable and polite! I selected a two year furnace and A/C plan and they have not missed calling me to set up my spring and fall checkups!

Had some issues with an old dishwasher and was not sure if it was plumbing related or if it was just the age of the dishwasher. Buckeye plumbing sent Patrick out within hours of opening on a Monday morning. He thoroughly checked the plumbing around the dishwasher and determined it was not plumbing related. He was very kind. Although there was not a plumbing issue, I still had to pay a service call. I understood, because it is the cost of doing business. Patrick was apologetic bc he was at house for 5 minutes, but he still has to follow protocol as an employee of company. Again, I completely understood as I would want my employees doing the same thing. Ten minutes after Patrick had left, I got a call saying they were voiding the service call charge. As a homeowner who uses plumbing services quite a bit, I will definitely be calling them again. Service was great on front and back end!!

I had a furnace installed last year, and recently reached out to Chris Hann regarding follow up services that I thought were included with the purchase. He confirmed via email that I was correct, but when I tried to schedule the service, I was told it was not included. I mentioned that Chris had clearly confirmed it via email, and then got a voicemail back from him talking to me like I was an idiot for expecting him to follow through on what he agreed to via email. Apparently he misread my email, but instead of simply saying that he misread it and gave me incorrect info, he got a VERY nasty attitude and told me to go elsewhere for services - so that is what I will be doing, and suggest others do as well.

Had a major problem with a severely leaking faucet in the tub. Called Josh first thing in the morning and he had his guys, Eric and Damian, come within 2 1/2 hrs on a short notice. They were efficient and professional. Explained what they were going to do and did it. Problem solved. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend them.

It was hard to find an HVAC company that has techs who actually work on boilers often, for the steam system in our old home. We found Wilson after a few false starts with others, stayed with them for many years. We recently tried a new company for a few new installations, but after more false starts, came BACK to Wilson. The son is now running Wilson and the place has improved over time.
Today Armin came out to do our boiler checkup. He was exceptional: friendly, and thoughtful in his work. We will continue to use Wilson.

Hello neighbors, I am here to warn you about working with this outfit. I have used this company 4 times in the past 10 months for various projects around our home (wet bar plumbing, new bathroom plumbing in basement and fixing a leaking toilet). The relationship started out well; Jessie was great at showing up on time and communicating effectively which is more than many contractors we have worked with can say.
However, we did have two issues we tried to resolve with the company and the owner was extremely unreasonable. Upon completion of our finished bathroom in the basement, the installation team damaged our floor tiles, which we had to have replaced by a handyman. We tried working with Leonard's plumbing to adjust our final bill for the bathroom due to this mishap. To my surprise, they were completely unwilling to work with us on adjusting the bill when they damaged our floor despite having photos of the damage and invoices for hiring a handyman to make the repairs. Instead of knocking off a reasonable figure from our bill, they instead said take us to court. I do not know about you, but I do not have the time and energy to waste going to court over a couple hundred bucks, but I do have a few minutes to warn you all of this poor customer service. I hope you all have better luck with plumbers in our community and head my warning here of doing business with this outfit.

Lazy plumber with no skills. I had the misfortune of this company getting getting assigned to my home warranty claim for two bathroom sink faucets and on my tub. The person sent out has absolutely no business being called a plumber. He was not able to take apart either simple Kohler sink, but thought he could get similar replacements...I'm happy to get them replaced but sheesh, you can't even take it apart and try tightening?
Then before trying to look at the upstairs tub plumbing at all, he started to sell me on how there's nothing he can, he'd charge $1,500-$3,000 to repair the tub, and maybe I should just redo the whole bathroom. When I told him I'm not interested in that and I just want the tub repaired, he went out to his van for over an hour, then came back in to tell me his boss doesn't want him touching it, even with access he would not look at it. I did remove the panel and he still wouldn't even go upstairs again! He instead falsely reported it as a jacuzzi without access to the home warranty company to so my claim would be denied. That's completely untrue, it's a regular soaking tub, and there is an access door (pictured) that I offered to open up.
I then called the dispatcher who arranged the appointment with me to report this behavior, and complain about wasting three hours of my work day to get absolutely nothing accomplished. They didn't want to hear any of it, kept talking to me about not being a carpenter (totally irrelevant) and that even with access he doesn't have knowledge of bath tubs. Really??! THEN HOW IS HE A PLUMBER?! I have absolutely no plumbing expertise but it took me all of 30 seconds to loosen the hose.
Now I've been on the phone with HSA home warranty for over an hour (and still am) trying to refute the false information given for denying my claim. If Pete didn't want to work today, he should have just stayed home.
I can't speak for the other services this company offers, but if you are in need of a plumber: do yourself a favor and call ANYONE else!

Wife called as we live right down the street for a dryer repair. On the phone were very rude. Asked the year of our dryer we were not sure and got up in arms about knowing. Honestly, how are you still in business? Take your money elsewhere.

I called them for an estimate to install a central AC unit and a furnace I purchased online. He gave me a price sight unseen, told me he could do it the next day and told me to mail in a deposit. Then he had an office worker call me to schedule, and it became a job at least a week out. The next day I called again with questions, and was told my deposit just increased by $300 and if he didn't have it I was being dropped from the schedule. I continued to look for other vendors, and found one willing to do the job although more expensive. I contracted with them to have the equipment installed. I texted same day service to let them know that I would not be needing them the following week, and got a nasty text in response. I said there was no need to be nasty and the texter became more abusive and threatened to sue. I'm glad I read the online reviews before hiring this company.

I have used Blind & Sons for many years primarily for maintenance of HVAC. Their technicians are very competent and professional. My recent service call was no exception. However they failed to arrive within the three hour time window I was given which was pretty annoying since I had scheduled the appointment way in advance .
