For some reason it took a week for them to get back to me about having a Handyman come out to do some painting for us. But we are very pleased with the work that Jason did for us. A very nice guy and he did great work. I will definetly ask for him again.

Tony came to our house because our sewer line backed up. We had poop floating around in our basement, which is a nice feature. My wife said that Tony was very professional and most importantly... not creepy. He fixed the problem (roots) in under an hour and also unclogged one of our sinks. The price was absolutely reasonable, in fact, I thought maybe a mistake had been made. Highly recommend Tony and Wilson plumbing!!!

Tony and John did a nice job diagnosing a gas line issue and they fixed it. They are pros.
Our sewer pipe in our rental property completely split vertically and affected 3 stories of our house. Wilson Plumbing was fast and fixed the problem very promptly. However, I received a text from Lynn that the plumber dropped part of the cast iron pipe that was being removed on a toilet that is in my basement. He said since the trap is dry that it must be non-functioning and therefor, they won't make it right. I personally used this very toilet approximately a year prior to this, so I know that it was, in fact functional. I told Lynn this, but he thought I was lying and refused to fix it. Now, I am left with half a toilet sticking out of the ground (because they broke the tank off) until I hire another plumber to fix it. Nevermind, that the job we hired Wilson's for cost nearly $3,000.00!! It's completely ridiculous that they would not have replaced the toilet that they broke, and even more so when I take the price tag of the job into consideration.
Also, they were supposed to be itemizing our bill, so that my insurance would pay the demolition cost, but they never did, despite being asked more than once.
Thanks a lot Wilson Plumbing. They clearly do not take responsibility for their mistakes and will not help their customer recoup any of the cost, we will not be utilizing their service on any further jobs. I would recommend that others find another plumber as well. Lesson learned.
It was hard to find an HVAC company that has techs who actually work on boilers often, for the steam system in our old home. We found Wilson after a few false starts with others, stayed with them for many years. We recently tried a new company for a few new installations, but after more false starts, came BACK to Wilson. The son is now running Wilson and the place has improved over time.
Today Armin came out to do our boiler checkup. He was exceptional: friendly, and thoughtful in his work. We will continue to use Wilson.
Got an estimate for a garage heater.
The estimate was very general, just listed as HVAC-MISC with price of $3750. I asked for an itemization of the estimate, very general, just the cost of the unit and the cost of labor. They refused to provide me with that information. I won't spend that kind of money without knowing where it's going and they don't want the business enough to provide basic information so I'll go elsewhere.
They were polite, just not helpful.
Exactly 2 weeks ago Wilson Plumbing replaced our hot water heater to the tune of $4200.00. To their credit, someone came immediately, replaced the heater and hauled away the old one. However, that was a week day. Today, Saturday, no one can come to repair or replace the failed 2 week old heater. They're trying but I'm told maybe Monday.
Plumbing emergencies happen 23/7 and yet they have no one available on a Saturday.
I have to think, though, that if this were brand new business that would bring in $4200.00, someone would be here promptly. Totally unacceptable business model.

I have had this company out to my home several times, and each technician has been knowledgeable, pleasant, and was able to complete repairs that day. They kept me in the know throughout the entire process. Will never call another company for my phone!

We've been customers for twenty years, but we're done. The techs are knowledgable, courteous, and have always done a good job, and the fact that Wilson is expensive seemed worth it to us. But whatever management consultant firm they hired to reorganize how they do business has cost them at least one customer. It's gotten pretty bad over the last few years: every service call has them trying to upsell us on something, and that smacks of commission for add-on sales from service and repair calls. Any phone call goes to an operator whose job is apparently to soothe and say nothing in the worst corporate call-center way. The final straw for us is currently happening in real time. They came out to do the annual service/cleaning on our old furnace this summer and the CO readings were super high. The estimate to replace the furnace, as well as a new AC compressor unit which was also old, was $10K, and we scheduled it. I am not in the trades, and had no idea that a permit had to be pulled for that work, and no one at Wilson ever mentioned it to me. It was only by accident that an electrical inspector was in my basement two weeks ago, saw the new furnace without an inspection sticker, and called his office. Wilson had pulled the permit when they did the work months ago, but it was never inspected by the county. This guy told me that if there was a fire from the furnace my HO insurance wouldn't cover it bc it wasn't inspected, and that Wilson was responsible for getting the inspection. Wilson tells me that the inspection is arranged by either the county or the home owner, not them, and I am now on day 2 of just trying to get the permit number from Wilson so I can get the inspection scheduled myself because the county building department won't talk to me until I have the permit number. We are lucky someone randomly knew and told us that we needed this inspection. I am so pissed right now, you don't even know. I gave one star above only because zero stars is not an option to publish this. I cannot imagine any form of customer service more important than making sure your customer is fully informed about safety and legal requirements & responsibilities associated with your work.
My girlfriend had Wilson Plumbing & Heating come out to our house in November to fix a leak under the sink and to fix one of the bibs on the outside of the house that leaked, after a previous plumber decided to cancel on us. Repair went well, girlfriend said the plumber explained things to her very well, little expensive but hey, they showed up and fixed it.
So seeing as how we were happy with the work they did in November, I decided to request them to come out and fix the bib in the backyard. I received an email back from the scheduler asking for my address a week ago, to which I replied and she never responded, I sent a follow-up email and received no response. I then started a new request ticket to see if maybe our email communication had an error and have yet to receive any type of correspondence. Very disappointed in the breakdown of communication.
Giving them 2 stars for the work they did in November, the plumber was good and I was satisfied with their work but if it hadn't been for that it'd be a 1 star review based solely on the poor communication of the office.
My experience with Wilson Plumbing and heating was great ! I have been told by other plumbers that it would be very risky to try to improve my water pressure because the city water supply was very old and might break resulting in a very expensive trenching of my front yard. When Randy came out, he said that it was possible but unlikely. Then Joe and Terry took care of everything and came in $400 under what was originally quoted ? I now have really fabulous water pressure in my house for the first time in 22 years.
Trust Wilson to do a great job and have honesty and integrity to boot !
If I could give these guys more than 5 stars I gladly would. Not only are they professional and very good at their job they are also very polite and pleasant to work with. They explained everything in detail and gave me options on how to repair the problem. They were quick to show up on time and didn't take any time figuring out what the problem was. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends

My water heater busted 3 weeks before Christmas and these guys had a new one installed less than 24 hours later! Everyone at Wilson is so professional, friendly and skilled. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber. Thanks Paul, John W, Anthony, John Q, and Liz!!!!
Made my appointment for a 4 hour window. Called 3x and chatted. No one called me back till long after my 4 hour appointment window was over and tried to say it was scheduled for a different time. Um no. You would think that after several calls. And me say you are supposed to be here 8 am to noon. If the schedulers actually put in the wrong time block someone would of said something. Nope. When they tried to call and finally say oh your tech is on the way. No I say. I don't want your company out after all this. Just be honest. I slipped through the cracks and than you try and tell me it was for noon to 4 pm. No thank you! I was wrapping up my conversation on chat and was asked, is there anything else I can help you with, lol. My response, ya find me a plumber. Anyway, Have a great day though.

Mark came over to install a toilet after two other companies quoted extensive floor work to make it fit. He had the simplest solution and the new toilet worked in less than 2 hours! I now have sewer backflow in my basement, and the first thing I did was call Wilson's. As long as I live in Akron, they'll be my only plumbers.

I called them 4 times in the past week for a leaking drain. The secretary said the owner would call me back. After 4 calls and one week I never got the courtesy of a call back from anyone. I guess they don't need the business. I'd be concerned this might reflect on their responsiveness if they actually started a job.
The response time & the customer service from this company is above and beyond. After scam roofers filled our downspouts with all the roof debris, they responded with in minutes to my plea for assistance via their after hours answering service. They viewed the drains, assessed the issues & snaked then until they would handle the rain water off the roof. They also offered us a plan for the future for the removal of the traps in the basement floor. We couldn't be happier with their workmanship or their honest approach for solutions, immediate and going forward.
$348 to clear a slow moving bathroom drain??? C'mon...You have to be crazy!
Wound up doing it myself in less than $15 minutes after thinking I'd support a local company - but NOT at that price!
Had a technician come out to possibly repair a leak. Before any work would be done, I was required to agree to pay $85 for a diagnosis of the problem over and above the $89 service call charge. Then I was told the job would cost $857 plus $500 in labor for what should be only about $300! Also, the technician highly recommended I file an insurance claim! These guys are so unethical to suggest such a thing.
