You know, as a Facilities Manager, the vendors that I bring into the company for repairs and on site service is crucial. They need to be professional in practice and especially in appearance. You see, heads of corporations travel to my building often from all over the world. It is preferable that no repairs or service are needed during one of these visits. However, what can I say? Pipes just don't play by the rules.

Yesterday, I had a leaky toilet that had been leaking un-noticed for a while as it was in a restroom rarely used. By the time it was discovered, who knew how bad the damage was or the root cause. All I saw was a puddle and fear of the major flood in my building of 2 years ago that cost me over $14,000 to repair hit me hard. That flood was due to a bad cleaning service, not plumbing.

So I called up Randy at Plumbing Plus and asked him to send Isaiah Maher over. I have used Plumbing Plus for all of my plumbing issues since I have been employed at my current company. Isaiah has always been my preferred plumber because he is professional in practice as well as in appearance. This was critical for me because I had the head of Doosan in from Korea in my board room. I was so busy that I didn't have time to watch a plumber in my secure building and make sure he stayed in the approved areas. Thus Isaiah's experience in my building was essential. I gave him a key fob and asked him to fix it.

To make a long story.... well.....not as long. Bwahahahaha. Isaiah fixed the problem with no interruption to my meeting and was in and out for under $700. Now the price for the repair is not as important as what I got for the repair. Professionalism, accurate diagnosis, a trusted vendor in my secure facility, and all without disturbing the huge meeting that was going on the whole time.

I've used CSR twice now.  Both times have been great. They are very professional and make sure to give quotes before doing the work.  Work is done efficiently and they are super clean!  CSR is my go to for plumbing and I highly recommend them.

I have never had any issues with the hard water before I moved to San Diego. After a while living here I noticed the huge amount of scale building on my dishwasher, laundry did not feel the same, and my skin felt dry every time I showered. I did some research and found out that the hardness in southern California was extremely high. I did reach out to couple Water Filtration Companies to get some more information on solutions to fix my problem. Do not get into easy solutions such as, whole house systems with no waste or no salt required as they dont work at all. As my friend installed one of those units from a major company he is not getting any benefits, and usually they are friendly only when making a sale. I found Water Purification Systems on Yelp, and we arranged an appointment for an estimate for the next day.Their representative showed up on time and seemed very knowledgeable and professional . He tested my water for the hardness level and came out to be 17 Grains per Gallon, which was extremely high. He told me about the water softener system they install, it was a salt based(meaning salt has to be added to clean the system and has a small amount of waste) but it was the most effective in dealing with hard water. He wasn't pushy or aggressive like any other representatives and gave me time to think and do my research. After some more research I concluded that the only way to get soft water is the salt based softener. I have scheduled an appointment for the unit installation in a week. Their technician showed up right on time and got straight to work. It took about 7 hours for the installation. After he explained me how the system works and the only I thing i needed to do was to add salt once in a while. I was really amazed by the the technician efficiency and the job cleanliness. He tested the water right after the installation and came to 2 Grains per Gallon.(From 17 to 2 thats impressive). I waited couple weeks to write this review as I wanted to be assured that water got better. I can feel the soft water on my skin every time I take shower! My clothes smell so much better after I do my laundry! there is no my white stains on my glasses and cups in the kitchen! I love my water now!!!!!

I'll defintely be using Above and Beyond Drains and Plummbing again! I liked that they didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. The prices quoted were reasonable. I'm also big on customer service and this place has it! There was an issue and Joe quickly moved to mitigate it. I really appreciated that Joe went 'above and beyond' to make customers like myself happy.

I had a sewage backup catastrophe at my condo and after calling a dozen plumbers on a Sunday, I found John who was one of the few who bothered to call me back.  I could tell on the phone that he cares about his work and likes to solve problems.

 When he arrived I could tell that he is a sincere person and not one of those rush-in rush-out kind of repairmen.  He spent the time to assess the problem, spoke with the building manager, explained the pros and cons of different approaches, and spent several hours at the site.  When he had to go out to get a part he did not charge me for that time.

I called in the morning and received same day service. Gustavo came, he took care of my clogged drain and installed a new sink for me. He was professional,  friendly  and kept me informed.  He even discovered a problem and fixed it. I highly recommend ASAP

We hired Andy to remove our old, outdated tub and showers from our condo and had him install a new tub and shower pan. Andy was beyond professional and didn't hide anything from us.  His quote for the work was very reasonable. He not only brought the plumbing up to code, he also explained to what was going on and if any adjustments had to be made.   Just a really honest, professional job all around and  someone I am happy to refer to others with plumbing needs.

Recently we had a slab leak in our house, and determined that a full repipe was necessary. After receiving bids from numerous repipe companies in the San Diego area, we decided to go with Ameri-Cal for a few key reasons:
1) Price. The bid from Ameri-Cal was comprehensive - new Uponor PEX pipes with a 25 year warranty, all new hose bibs, pressure regulator, drywall patch and texture, and stucco patch, and they still came in at the lowest price. All the
2) Track record. They are licensed, bonded, and insured, but don't let the low number of Yelp reviews for their Carlsbad office concern you - their main office is up in Buena Park, and they have over 150 five-star reviews. They also specialize in repiping.
3) Ease of communication. I asked for a quote over Yelp and was connected with their associate Toby, who was friendly, straightforward, and responsive over Yelp message and text. He was able to give a quote over text message rather than having to schedule a visit, which made the process much easier. I had a lot of questions both before and during the repipe process, and he was always quick to respond and professionally courteous.

The repipe took one day to install the pipes (8am-4pm) and one day the following week for the drywall and stucco patch (9am-3pm or so) and went very smoothly. They utilized our attic (1 story home) to route the new pipes, requiring minimal holes in the bathroom and kitchen. They were also able to repipe to the shower valves without requiring new escutcheons, which is great. The new pipes have been functioning well, and the drywall and stucco patch and texture look great. I'm glad I went with Ameri-Cal and would definitely recommend them for repiping.

We had a backed up shower drain that was directly connected to the sink.  Oscar from Mr. Rooter came out promptly.  He covered all his equipments so as not to dirty the floor and lined the bottom of the sink pipe which he worked from to snake his wire.  Made accurate diagnosis of the problem, fixed it, and cleaned up nicely.

Very professional. Came out same day I called and fixed underground leak at a very reasonable cost. Will use them again if needed and recommend to my friends.
