Best Plumbing Inspection in Boston MA
I have used Hinchey Brothers for many years (15+) and my mother uses them as well. They do our plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and have replaced our water heater and furnace as well as kitchen and bathroom plumbing.. They are careful, responsive trustworthy and very easy to deal with. I also count on them for referrals to related vendors (such as chimney work.) They are totally reliable and I recommend them without reservation.

I feel very happy and relieved that I found Jonny. As a new homeowner, I was very anxious when my water heater started leaking. I immediately started looking online for a plumber including Angie's List, Home Advisor, Yelp, and the Home Depot installers. Some plumbers never called back, others gave me expensive quotes. Another wanted $132 dollars just to come over and assess what was happening. A friend recommended I call Jonny and I am glad I did. He was traveling but I was able to communicate with him via WhatsApp and show him the property. Jonny was very clear about his availability, showed up when he said he would, and best of all he gave me a very fair price. He was also willing to meet up at Home Depot so that I could make sure I chose the WiFi water heater I wanted. He was very patient while I had a last-minute moment of indecision while deciding on the size of the tank. The install looks great. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and call him back if I have any other issues. I always look at reviews and recommendations when making decisions, and I hope this review helps you feel confident in hiring Jonny.

Simon from High Quality Plumbing provided top-notch service, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs professional plumbing services. His rates were very reasonable. He recommended what needed to be done only but nothing extra. His work ethic was very high, and he really focused on solving the problem I had.
I needed to have a commercial style toilet flush unit replacement work done at my condo. While the replacement work itself was not complicated and laborious for a plumber who has a Master Plumber license, Simon made sure the work was done right the first time due to the number of people that was affected from the main water shutoff required at the condo building. He came to my unit to take measurements and evaluate the issues before making an appointment with me and the building management to do the actual work. He offered to purchase the flush unit for me or let me purchase it myself. He told me beforehand that he did not intend to make any profits from the parts. He merely provided the parts as a one-stop service for the customers. His part prices were even cheaper than what I could buy on my own outside. My condo building management had to change the appointment two times for the building water shutoff due to the logistics involved. Simon was accommodating and provided us with other alternative dates and times that he would be available. His communication was excellent. All phone calls, e-mails and text messages would be responded or returned. He provided his license and insurance coverage to the building management directly. On the job day, he showed up on time and started working immediately without any delay. He went down to the basement of the building to drain the standing water in the pipe after the building serviceman shut the main water off. He laid something similar to rosin paper on the floor, making sure he left the work place as clean if not cleaner than before he started. During the process, he explained to me why and how he did what he was doing. Every step was done in details to ensure that he did not need to re-do it. He had a much higher standard for his own work than I had expected. After the replacement work was done, he carefully inspected any leaks and adjusted the unit to ensure that it functioned properly. He tested the unit many times before calling the job done. He cleaned up the work site at the end.
Simon is an honest professional that I would recommend hiring. My condo building management required someone like him who has a Master Plumber license with insurance coverage before they let anyone touch the pipes. You will not only appreciate the quality of his work, but also value his humble, unassuming personality.

I needed a garbage disposal replaced so I called Joe and he was available that week to do the job. He quoted a price on the phone and he stuck to it even though it was a significantly harder job than anticipated. The old disposal was rusty so it couldn't be unscrewed so he had to be creative to remove it. Nice guy and great service.

This is the second time I've used Hickey's Plumbing and Heating and again, I was very happy with their service.
The first time I called because my regular plumber said he couldn't help for 3 WEEKS. I had never worked with Hickey's Plumbing but they had good reviews so I gave them a call. I spoke with Mike and he and Clarence were there to help in less than an hour. They fixed everything that day. They were very honest about what needed to be fixed and I was surprised by how reasonable they were with pricing.
The day before yesterday my heating system stopped working completely. (Different house than the first time) Two days before Thanksgiving. We called them that morning and Mike was again, at my house within an hour. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining what he thought was wrong and what parts we'd need. He got one part that morning and rather than waiting for the second one to come in, he tried to see if the system would kick back on with just one new part to try to save us some money. It turned out we needed the second part and a major clean out of our boiler. Without getting into too much detail, our heating system was a disaster and Mike got it up and running again.
I think any other plumber would have thrown in the towel and just told us to get a new boiler. Mike did everything in his power to avoid us having no heat over the holiday and having to purchase a new boiler.
And after all of the time it took for him to fix it, we still got a very reasonable bill. I highly recommend these guys!!

This is a well run company with terrific plumbers and hvac guys working for them. The work is good, efficient, honest, and stress free. Having run into so many yahoos doing home 'repairs' over many years it has been such a pleasure to find these folks. I can't say enough good things about the way they accomplished the repairs to plumbing, heating, and ac at my house. And all the guys have been personable into the bargain. I have no idea whether they charge mor than others or not, but if they do it's worth it, since they do it right the first time.

Very knowledgeable and reliable. They were able to diagnose the problem with my central air conditioner right away. I highly recommend them.

Lovett Plumbing is fantastic. Our hot water went out Saturday morning and my husband and I were concerned that we wouldn't be able to get anyone until Monday. We called Lovett and left a message Saturday afternoon, they called back in less than 5 minutes and then Charlie was there in under 2 hours! He diagnosed the problem immediately, explained to us what went wrong, and fixed it on the spot. He was super friendly and very professional. The price was fair and reasonable, especially given the immediacy of response and quality work performed. To have the problem resolved less than two hours after our initial phone call on a weekend is pretty amazing. We will definitely be using Lovett again for our future needs.

Answered quick, came in a reasonable time, did their job, and priced it well. I will definitely use them again and would be happy to recommend them.

One word: excellent!
Seriously, the service provided and professionalism conveyed was more than I anticipated. I had a bathroom tub that was not draining for the past 2 days, and I requested same day service. Not only did they come out within an hour's notice (I reached out to a number of other places before this), they also resolved the issue quickly and helped me to understand the issue in detail.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with Forsythe's services and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Mark was extremely accommodating in finding a time that worked for us and then recommending a solution for setting up a dehumidifier in our basement. He could have tried to upsell us on a more complicated, expensive solution, but he found an effective short-term solution that will likely meet our needs. Very honest and knowledgeable.

My wife and I hired New Age Plumbing and Heating to replace our 30 year old boiler and hot water heater. In their place, Timmy and Alfred installed a new wall mounted high efficiency boiler and an indirect water heater. We were very impressed with their workmanship, communication, and knowledge of plumbing and heating. On top of all that, they're genuinely nice guys! In short, they did a fantastic job, and we'd be happy to hire them again.

I have used this company twice. They are GREAT. The manager, Tina, is very personable and returns calls timely. The crew is professional and honest. I highly recommend this company. If I ever need plumbing repairs again they are my ONLY call

Cardarelli Plumbing helped us convert from oil to gas in our recently-purchased home, which is the largest home improvement project we've ever taken on.
Joe's proposal for the project was very thorough and detailed, while his recommendation for the design and placement of a new high efficiency Navien combi boiler made a lot more sense than the other two proposals we got for a similar type of system. His quote was very competitive, beating out the other proposals by dollar amount and scope of work - he took care of the oil tank removal whereas the other proposals left us having to deal with the oil tank removal ourselves.
The conversion process was a bit overwhelming given the scope of the project with so many different players involved across a several-month time frame. Joe was quick to respond to our questions and provide any information needed from start to finish. Once the gas company installed the line to the house, Joe and his team were able to complete the removal of the old system and installation of the new system in two days. I was impressed by how they set up the job site with the needed tools and equipment to allow them to work quickly and efficiently; it was clear that they've done this many times before and have the process down to a science.
The finished product was compact, clean and - most importantly - functional. They delivered on every aspect of the project and it was very clear that no corners were cut during the project - the workmanship and materials used were top notch. We could not be more satisfied with how the project went. We now have high efficient gas heat and hot water thanks to Joe and Cardarelli Plumbing, just in time for the winter.
We highly recommend Cardarelli Plumbing!

Very disappointed and no longer recommend Holmes after being happy in the past. They fixed a running toilet for us, a simple job. Two months later it's running again and we are 1 month past their warranty of 30 days. We're told we have to pay them to do the same job again.

I first privately messaged the company via Facebook and no response 13 days later.
This is what I sent:
Just wanted to let you know that we had Caleb do some work related to a kitchen remodel and we paid $5000 for services, we never received an itemized bill for services and were very pressured at the end when we opted not to install a Water Pressure regulator for an additional $1500. Overall I am not upset at the work he did, but I never got to see details of what we paid for and. Felt like everything extra he did was another $1500 every time.
It was that last up sell that seemed suspicious and when I checked online $1500 for work was double the high rate for installation. I knew your services were a premium but when we previously worked with Connor we felt he was fair and knowledgeable.
This time we felt like we were overcharged and then it felt sleepy when he was suggesting to my partner that your company would not warranty the service they did if we didn't do the upgrade.
I am telling you this not because I somehow expect we will get a discount for what the work should be, even though I believe that would be the right thing to do, but because you should know what employees are doing that hurt your reputation.
At this point I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending your services and that doesn't feel good. I messaged privately because I believe that if something like this happened in my business I would want to know so I could do something about it and have a chance to retain a customer. Good night
Never heard back, although someone did give it a thumbs down and then removed it a few minutes later.
When the owner commented on a public post on a local board, I posted that I didn't recommend them and in my research I found they pay their young plumbers commissions which means they are incentivized to upsell and overcharge. And by the way I was able to get the water pressure valve installed for less than half and that plumber pointed out that when Blue Bear Installed the water filtration system, they should have tested the water and shown me the results. [Edit: I thought I had seen a job posting mentioning commissions, but I misread something and wanted to correct that.]
Don't recommend them at all and it is obvious the Owner isn't concerned about his customers, just getting more money.
And the $5000 was for water disconnect/reconnect, attaching a garbage disposal, adding a whole house filtration unit (a $54 Watt Whole house filter) and adding some silicone sealant to the edges of two sinks in the bathroom.
[Update: Spoke to the Chris Murphy, Owner, which the number below is not his direct line by the way. He said he will email me an itemized invoice since I never received one. He said the work done was valid, although he quoted me that in the invoice the cost to install the garbage disposal was below $500 not the $1500 we were told by Caleb, but this discrepancy didn't seem to faze him. In the end he agreed to credit back $99 which he said was the fee they charge to come out. I explained while I disagreed that was enough to bring back my trust as a customer, I respected that he was at least willing to credit back some amount.
I wish them best and do hope that they are able to work on being transparent and not pressuring people, but right now I still stand behind my review as I am not left feeling confident they would charge the same to every customer.]
[Update 1 day after call, I still have not received an emailed invoice as promised.]

Dwyane the plumber acted very unprofessionally and sabotaged my plumbing after we had a pricing disagreement. He came to snake a drain and when he left, not only the toilet was not working but he also messed up my hot water heating out of spite! Terrible, unprofessional and I now have to lodge a complaint with the police and the city of Boston! Horrible plumber! Stay away unless you want more issues!
