Best Leak Detection in Boston MA
I cannot believe how irresponsible this company is!! Absolutely wasted three weeks of my planning time in our need for a whole house HVAC system! When estimator finally showed up and told me within one minute of walking in that they are not big enough to do the job?! Why in the world did they waste three weeks of my time in planning and even taking the appointment if they could not provide products and services to meet our need?! Now my project is further delayed! Extraordinarily poor management and communication. As a potential customer, I could not be more upset.

Absolutely, hands down the best plumber and one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Jodie, office manager, is on top of everything. Every phone call is returned promptly. I manage a large museum-lots of plumbing-and Consolidated Plumbing has been a pleasure to work with. And I've been working with them for years. Never a disappointment. Can't say enough nice things about this company.

Andrew and Crew did superb work. Quick turnaround time, results and value. Will use again.

I had a nightmare situation with a toilet overflowing and flooding the place with sewage, on a friday evening. Chris and his team showed up quickly that evening and came back the next day to continue working on the problem till it was resolved. I highly recommend their services.

They came to my house, looked at everything, seemed like they wanted the work. I asked every day for two weeks for the quote and never received it. Seems to be a disconnect between the guys and the office. They seem like good guys, just don't know why they couldn't put a and b together.

Couldn't clear the clog in the main drain line and walked away from the problem. Told us we had to dig out the concrete. This was totally wrong. The cleanout was not buried in the concrete. I had to call another company who got the job done.

You know all those horror stories you hear about plumbers who over-charge, or leave a mess, or do sloppy work? Forget all that, and hire Chase.
The main case-iron waste pipe in my basement developed cracks in two places. Luckily the cracks were on top of the pipes so they weren't leaking yet. I decided to have essentially all the cast-iron pipe replaced with PVC - about 30 feet in total. This was the thick, heavy, 5 iron pipe. Not a small job.
Chase came and did a no-cost estimate. I'd used them before for some small jobs so I trusted them and decided to have them bill me for time and materials instead of a fixed price. They arrived on time, got right to work, and finished the job in 3 hours flat, including clean-up and testing all the new plumbing. The new plumbing is neat, clean and, well, perfect. And their price for the materials (all the new PVC pipe and fittings) was incredibly reasonable. I don't think I could have bought it for less on my own! They cleaned up the basement thoroughly - sweeping and vacuuming.
As a homeowner, it gives me peace of mind to know that I can call Chase and know that they will do excellent work for a fair price.

Mike, has done a number of jobs for us over the last year. Excellent communication and top notch plumbing. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure if all these reviews are authentic. We had a completely different experience with Frank. He kept complaining about his health and charged us $95 to tighten some screws and give an estimate.

When our water heater broke, they responded quickly and came on the same day. Welter was super nice and explained everything what was wrong and how to fix if the same thing happens next time. He never pushed / forced to buy or replace anything and gave us some options. We had a great experience with them and definitely we will use them whenever we need! Highly highly recommend!!!

They were super quick, thorough, and professional. I had a leaking water heater, Matt responded immediately and had three guys come right over. They replaced my heaters that day and worked until very late Friday to get it done. Thanks

5 stars for kindness & honesty. My project was beyond Bushi's scope but he did not charge to make the visit & was very helpful with guiding me forward. Will definitely call him for a straight plumbing situation.

I booked an appointment for 5 days out. Never called, never showed up. When I called, was told I wasn't in their system. Unbelievably inconsiderate of my time. Had to take a useless work day off. Would NEVER use them.
Addition: I did get a message from the owner and he did try to make things right. Unfortunately I had already booked another plumber and used them.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Like most homeowners, we hate anything relating to a plumbing issue. For me especially - water and I just do not get along in a house. I've had various issues already, but this was one of the most annoying - my basement shower, elevated on a wooden frame and installed by the previous owner who did a shit DIY all around job, was a mess and as shoddy as an island shack. So when the shower started leaking at the base between the frame and the cement floor, I knew I was in trouble and that it would be a disastrous fix if it involved pulling out the frame.
Well, step one was the research what the eff I was going to do. After some friendly advice from the all-knowing Google, I knew I probably needed to call a plumber (which I hate) and that it was going to cost mucho dinero (the exact reason I hate calling plumbers). I didn't want any surprises for the plumbers I reached out to for estimates due to the possibility of tearing up the wooden base, so I was quite frank in my mass emails I sent out describing my issue. Boy, were the responses fun, and included but were not limited to:
-We don't have time for this type of job. Ever.
-We're fully booked until a month later, can you wait?
-Yeah, we're going to need to come by in order to do an estimate. That'll cost you $150.
-No response. (probably laughing at why anyone would waste their time with an annoying job like this)
No, eff you all. Luckily for me, Bill answered within a day, and said he'd check out the issue. Bill was great - personable, reasonable and professional. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. He went into the issue understanding my concern, and attempted to fix the leak without getting to the base. Unfortunately, due to the previous scumbag and his wholesome fail at DIY at using glue like some maniacal second grader, Bill was unable to pry the drain out from the top. So I gave him a miserable nod, allowing him to start the process of tearing up the frame. The more wooden planks he tore from both the base and the side frame, the heavier my heart, as I could see Bill was not expecting the layers upon layers of wood blocking his way to the drain and pipe. At one point, he stopped, stating there was a plank he wouldn't be able to get out unless he tore up the whole shower. You could imagine the $$$$ rolling through my mind at that point - my field of vision was literally green, and then a sickening blood red. But Bill, and I have to hand it to him, thought for about a minute when he saw my face, and said he may have another creative idea.
Thirty minutes later, and with a large hole slightly larger than a basketball in the wood, Bill had managed to fix the leak (which was caused by the previous owner not tightening the plastic cap underneath the drain. Have I made my point about the incompetency of the previous owner yet?). Despite having a large hole at the most inner wooden base, I was ecstatic, as Bill was able to get underneath the shower with minimal damage. And the cost? Slightly over $200 for over an hours+ work of worth, which includes the help of an apprentice he had observing and getting tools from their truck. This may be a bit expensive as this prices in labor only (no parts or supplies were needed), but due to the complexity and woodwork involved, I'm happy with the net result. Bill will definitely be my go-to guy for my future plumbing needs! Thanks Bill!

I came home one day to find our hot water heater leaking all over the place! I googled Plumbers near me and thankfully Baker Elman came up. I called, explained what was happening, and the woman over the phone told me exactly how to turn it off so that it would stop leaking. She then informed me that we would have to purchase a new one, she knew if it was leaking it had to be replaced. I received a quote and they were going to squeeze me in that day.
I decided to call around and thought I could find something cheaper, so I cancelled. What a mistake!
What I found was noone was cheaper and if they were it was maybe $100 less but came with NO warranty (Baker-Elman had at least 6 years, more if we wanted). So I called back and although I am sure they had to be annoyed with me for cancelling earlier in the day, they rescheduled me for the next day.
They showed up on time when they said they would, and the 2 men that came in did their thing, cleaned up, and were gone within a reasonable amount of time.
Everyone there was very professional, friendly, and reliable. I will for sure use them again if the need arises.

Over priced, no invoices to explain work done, no written warnties, does not stand behind his work, will not come back to do a courteous check on his own work. Did a job that cause other issues.

I had a flood from my AC unit. MacCO had serviced my unit for several years and then found out they did not actually service my unit- which resulted in permanent damage and a cracked drain pan. The flood seeped through my wall and into the hall and damaged my hardwood floors. When I called them, they were rude and unpleasant. Probably because I am a female. When I asked the person they sent out, what should I do, the reply was not my problem, they were not help at all. I had two other companies look at my unit, they both said same thing. When MacCo replaced the coil, the person just dropped it in, never secured it, which resulted in the drain pan cracking and the resulting flood. I have since spoken with other people in my building, they all say the same things - MacCo service people are rude and do not care and take advantage of people who do not understand their AC systems.

Crescent Plumbing came out on a Sunday and helped us with a heat issue. Very professional and reliable, and they answered the phone right away. We will use them again if needed...
