Best Kitchen Remodeling in Boston MA
I can't say enough about these guys. I had a broken garbage disposal and running toilet. After getting stiffed by another plumber closer to my house, I called Consolidated on a Friday afternoon. They immediately sent someone over and it was fixed within the hour. Incredibly responsive and professional. Love these guys.

Thoroughly checked the plumbing, answered all our questions and concerns. Found the reason the dishwasher had water remaining in the drain (which smelled awfully when we came home back from a two-week vacation). He fixed it by re-arranging the plastic drainage pipes.
Found the leak in the kitchen faucet (which was improperly installed, I was tightening it up every few month by myself, but it went loose over and over again) that made the granite counter top stain around the sink grow bigger year by year. Re-installed the faucet and sealed it.
All done in half an hour. I expected to pay a couple of hundreds, as I usually do to every plumber I had before. $45 - that's all he asked for! A had always felt as I'm ripped off by plumbers, mechanics, gardeners etc. This time I almost felt as I'm ripping him off.
I'll definitely ask him to come again this fall to maintain my heating system.

Christopher was awesome, I reached out to him after the plumber that was supposed to come to the house to install the new dryer became preoccupied. Christopher gave us an affordable price and showed up on a Saturday to install our dryer. I was so happy, we were out of dryer for over two weeks waiting for Sears to deliver. I recommend Christopher 100%. Thank you

Mike did all of our plumbing for a bathroom renovation, and all of the work to install a new heating system. I would highly recommend him.

We called Baker-Elman to help solve our problem--- our shower in the master bedroom could not maintain hot water despite the house being equipped with two large water tanks. The 1st person that came spent some time, changed some parts he thought was responsible only to then remove these parts because he was wrong. He then called on someone more experienced who came by. After 3 different people coming out, no one could sort out the problem but mentioned that the recirculating line was connected in a funny way. Perhaps this was the problem but they needed to think about it. The left, problem not fixed, and sent us a fairly large bill. At that time, we had a bill but no thoughts and needed a solution. They came and spent more time finally to say that they would turn off the recirculating line which would cost us water but may help with the problem. Add another bill and still no working solution. At that time, they said that it may help to add a pump to the recirculator. They quoted us a large price for that work (in addition to the money they were already charging us) while noting that they were not sure they knew if this would solve the problem.
We called a different plumber. In contrast, the plumber was upfront with costs. Said they would charge $160 for diagnostics and not waste our money if they did not know what the problem could be. We did not provide the new plumber with information from the previous plumber. Within one visit and one person, they felt that it was in fact the recirculating line and that placing a pump would solve the problem. They gave us an estimate that was much much less than Baker-Elman quoted. They came, did the work, and we now have great hot water.
Baker-Elman essentially charged us nearly the same amount that the ENTIRE work cost us with the other plumber but all they did was scratch their chins. We sent them a note and tried to negotiate a lower payment given that we ended up with absolutely nothing at the end of their work. They responded that we gave away the solution and we mentioned that we absolutely had not. Without further discussion with us and despite our paying them a significant amount already, they filed a complaint in small claims court for the extra few hundred dollars we had asked them to lower their bill for. We basically paid twice for the work--- once with a group that had no idea what they were doing and did nothing and the second time for the actual solution which was quick and efficient.
The 2nd group was much more professional and upfront about costs. Baker-Elman was not. We weren't asking them for charity but we were asking them to be fair given that they should have been up front with costs and that the work was beyond their scope (i.e. know when it is time to give up).

i recently had my bathroom renovated. I found La Mattina Plumbing locally via the web. He had a Better Business Bureau high rating which led me to calling him. Once he came down, he took the time to inform me as to what needs to happen in what order with each contractor, Once things were opened up, he came back and gave his opinion as to what he would do regarding replacing what was needed while at the same time told me what wasn't necessary. In feeling comfortable with his expertise, I decided to go with them and was glad I did. The bathroom came out perfect! They were neat, professional and guess what ...he himself was involved on the job. He did the estimate and the work along with 1 or 2 other workers. In watching him doing the job, you can tell he took pride in his work. Seemed to know exactly what needed to be done.
It's a small company, very efficient and timely and in today's world, that is unusual ,but very welcoming. He even said, I do things right the first time. otherwise I'd be out of business. Thank You Bob from La Mattina Plumbing, You are now in my address book!

I honestly could not be more grateful to David Barry Plumbing. My wife and I were panicking about trying to fix our shower a week before putting our condo on the market and in less than 24 hours, all of our shower concerns were gone. The only thing I will ever do differently next time I have a plumbing issue is call David Barry Plumbing first, before I waste my time worrying and calling other plumbers.
Here's the story:
A week before putting my condo on the market the building called me saying that my shower valve was leaking into the floor below me and my wife and I had to stop showering until we got it fixed. After frantically calling and leaving messages for the plumbers my building recommended along with a few other recommendations, the soonest any of them could come to look at the problem was a week later. We needed to sell our place so that was not an option. Then a contractor friend of mine recommended David Barry Plumbing, I called and left a message. In less than 10 minutes I received a call back. When I explained my situation and asked how quickly they could help me, I was told that they could be there 9am the flowing morning! When I expressed how grateful I was, the response was you are putting your place on the market next week, this is kind of an emergency. Of the countless companies I had spoken to that day, this was the only one that understood the bind I was in and willing to help me out. When they arrived at my place the next morning (right on time, even though parking in the area is a bit difficult) they did not just tear open my bathroom wall to get at the valve the building thought was leaking. They inspected the entire situation before opening my wall and discovered that the problem was not what the building had said it was, but was actually an issue with the shower head pipe. They then replaced the pipe and made sure there were not other issues with the shower, all without making a single hole in my wall (which was amazing because we were worried about fixing the wall and repainting in time for the open houses)! To top it all off, because I needed the problem fixed ASAP, I never asked for an estimate or any number for how much this would cost me. I was worried that they may try to jack up their price since they knew I was in a bind and they never gave me a quote or estimate. However, when I received the invoice, it was extremely reasonable, there wasn't even short notice or emergency call fee!

Always top customer service and reasonable prices. I have had Charlie come to our home on three different occasions over the past year and a half. The first two times was to fix problems created by another plumber. The last time was to install two faucet replacements and install a new garbage disposal. I have always been satisfied and would definitely recommend!

I have never in my life met a team so passionate at their job. We needed a water heater replaced in our house as well as some other areas issues looked at/fixed. Once we called Landmark we were completely taken care of. We were met at the house and provided options that ranged in prices (with no upset pressure), they educated us on current requirements for venting (3 duct to a now required 4 duct), as well as provided us some good insights into how the water system works in general. Clearly knowledgeable. The quote they provided was never exceeded and we were provided options when looking at water heaters. We chose the one we wanted and before you knew it the team was at the house, early on a beautiful Saturday morning ready and eager to get to work. The work was done beautifully. Not only did we have a new water heater installed (which looks darn good I must say), they installed the new venting ducts as well as shored up ALL the pipes in the basement (something they certainly did not need to do): insulated this one, clamped down that one, checked the water pressure here and removed excess pipes there. A dream team.
Quoting and invoicing is done through FreshBooks which makes the entire transaction paperless and easy. Pricing was unbelievably fair for the work done.

Jim changed the fixtures in my tub/shower and bathroom sink today. He (and Matt) did an excellent job. Clearly Jim is an experienced plumber; he is efficient, neat, organized and a problem-solver. The work looks beautiful. I followed his product recommendation because I decided it was worth relying on his experience. And the bonus is that he is responsive; he answers texts promptly, schedules within a reasonable time frame, he comes when he says he will and on time, and finishes when he says he will. He charges a competitive, reasonable amount.

They were great. Very responsive, and easy to schedule. The technicians were efficient and friendly, and honest about our mini-split maintenance/service needs. I'd definitely hire them again.

We called boston budget to install a new water heater on Monday and they sent Terry to install it on Wednesday. They would have done it Monday night but no one was home to let them do it. Great and efficient service and fast. Would definitely call them again.

A pipe burst at night and Martin came as soon as he was done with another emergency. He figured out the problem, turned water off for that pipe and came back to finish the job. He was friendly and kind and did the work professionally and efficiently. He's excellent!

I am happy to write a very positive review for Doughty & Sons. I have called on them for help for at least five years and each time, my call is taken by a friendly, courteous receptionist who efficiently schedules an appointment for me. One of the two Doughty brothers (usually Ed) arrives promptly at the appointment time. He is friendly, thorough, very knowledgeable, and in general, very professional and does a first-rate job diagnosing the problems and finds cost-effective ways of fixing them. He considers the price of repairs and discusses options with me which help me decide how much I afford to spend for repairs. I would highly recommend Doughty and Sons. My neighbor originally recommended them to me, and they have more than lived up to her recommendation.

Very friendly, and great service! Yakov spent a long time on my issue, trying to troubleshoot and save us from having to spend the money to replace a part. He ultimately did have to replace it, but was very thorough and tested everything multiple times. Would use them again.

The tech came out quickly and was very friendly. We knew what the problem was, but wanted to get a quote on the cost to repair the leaky faucet. He suggested 2 different solutions and a rough estimate of cost and time, then charged us $165 for the consultation. He was here for approximately 10 minutes. This is the first time a tradesman has charged us a fee just to take a look.

BEWARE. These guys definitely tried to take advantage of us. Told us to refill our leaking freon in the fall (it's half full and they were going to charge $550 to fill it up) or find a leak, which they quoted as $1800+. I told them no way and called another HVAC guy, who came out and quoted me $300 to fill the freon and told me it was a waste of time to find a small leak, thus saving me the $1800 altogether. They even forgot to turn our system back on when they left, which the next technician found. Totally unprofessional.
