Best Electric Furnace Repair in Boston MA

Green Energy did a top notch job of installing a heat pump system on my home.  Everything from the communication, the install itself to the paper work and rebate submission, they were just awesome.  

Rarely do I trust contractors enough to let the run everything but sign and pay but thats how it worked with Green Energy.  

I can't think of a better company to work with if youre looking at getting a heat pump installed!

I've now used Consolidated Plumbing and Heating twice, both times they were exceptionally helpful and quick to respond.   The first time, our repair was handled the next day and done cleanly and professionally.  The second time, they helped me diagnose over the phone and were above and beyond helpful.  I will not hesitate to call again!

had them put in a new boiler and oil tank they did such a great job. I could not believe how quiet and efficient they were  they left the place cleaner than when they came. All workmanship was top notch and very professional .If you need service or a new boiler these are the people to call. We had an ongoing leak from our second floor bathroom through the ceiling on the first floor.  I appreciated that Welter communicated about what he would do to diagnose the problem, to appropriately set the expectations of the work.  During the process, at each turn he would take the time to explain what he had done, what he had found and what he recommended for a resolution.  I was very happy with the work he did and for the recommendations he provided.  While I certainly do not want any plumbing problems in the future, I would look to hire Welter, again, to get them resolved.

Main Stream is very helpful, answers all my questions, and accommodates my work schedule for service and maintenance.

Rich Mathews installed my boiler and hot water tank about 5 years ago.  At the time my old system suddenly crashed we were in the middle of a intense cold wave.  I found him by random and he called me back immediately.  He arrived at my house with 6 space heaters BEFORE I even agreed to hire him.  His price was totally fair and his work, even according to the Nahant plumbing inspector, was superior.  Both him and his son great guys, super friendly, respectful and  total pros that stand by their work 100%.  

Fast forward 5 years my hot water wasn't working, I called him this week, he remembered me and showed up that day.  Turned out it was a simple fix and he wouldn't take a penny.  I tired to force him to at least take money for coming to my house, he said no way, once my customer always my customer.  If you need a plumbing job call these guys, you will NOT be disappointed.

Daniel was able to solve a plumbing problem I had that a previous plumber tried 3 times to solve but couldn't.  He did a great job, was reasonably priced, always on time and cleaned up after finishing his work.  I was so impressed I hired him for a second job on the spot.  I would highly recommend Daniel for any plumbing issues you may have.

I used this team for a Kitchen renovation project and some other plumbing jobs over the past 8 years... I have always been pleased with the quality of there work and value.  They have always taken time to do the job correctly.

Awesome to work with. Came out next day for a washer faucet replacement and was on time a efficient. Walked me through what he did, made sure my questions were answered and an impeccable job. Will be calling again for any future work!

Our heat stopped working during a snow storm. We called 9 other places and got no return calls. We saw other reviews about Buss Mechanical so we gave them a shot. The answering service was extremely pleasant and within 10 minutes we got a call back from Matt. He showed up at our door promptly and fixed the problem in thirty minutes!! He was very pleasant and his prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!

After hour contact needs some work. Service provided did not seem to completely fix the problem with my furnace and attempts to get back in contact with company over weekend hours were not met with level of service expected.

Response time was fantastic, and it was very easy to set up our appointment to get a new sink installed and a leaky toilet fixed.  Jim arrived not just on time, but a little bit early, and he worked diligently until the job was complete.  Friendly service, too.  Everything looks great, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out.  Would definitely recommend Pescatore Mechanical Contractors to others!

Great experience today with Chuck working on my boiler. Our heat was not working and he got it back up and running.

6 years later, their was a clog in my sink, I called All drains plumping to fix the clog, and they only changed me $175.00. Big difference then what Papalia Plumbing charged $529.00. Mr Papalia your prices are way too high.

Phone interaction was pleasant. Wanted me to pay $699.00 to replace my kitchen sink with a new one I had purchased. I refused service. Ridiculously high prices.

I called for HVAC repair at the start of the cold weather and they said someone would be out later that day -- even giving me a time window in which to expect them. They then canceled last-minute during that window, leaving me without heat after I had already turned down other companies due to my exising appointment with them. The best they would offer as a rescheduled appointment was not for another month.

I took a chance on a company without any reviews and this is the result. Call them at your own risk.

These guys have done two jobs for me so far, and I plan on using them for more work in the future.

1. They replaced my whole HVAC unit, as well as my hot water heater--upgrading it to an on demand system. This whole job took about 3 days, and the guys in my home were very respectful and sweet, even with my cats, ensuring they didn't get out. When we had an issue with the sensor, the head Pann employee at my home project came back after work hours to make sure that we had heat for the weekend. So wonderful.

2. When we had a freeze and pipe burst this winter, Pann came out ASAP and fixed the issue before there was a ton of damage. They calmly explained how to avoid this in the future, and were in and our cheaply and in less than an hour.

Michael Pann runs a good, honest business, and I refer them to everyone I know!

When I called Gem Plumbing and Heating, I thought I would be getting someone that could do plumbing and heating as the business name implies. They could do neither.  They were very honest about it though.  I'll give them that.  

Our electric water heater kept tripping the breaker. I called Gem.  They were very nice on the phone.  They told me it would be a $99 service call fee.  I could test to see if it was just a faulty breaker myself but, $99 so I don't have to mess around with electric and water?  A very fair price.  

They came out the next day.  Very courteous. They spent 12 minutes verifying that the circuit to the water heater was good. That was it. Their conclusion as worded on the receipt found possible faulty hot water tank.  Is it faulty or not? I asked if I needed a new water heater.  The response I got was We're just electricians. We can have a plumber come out. Roughly how much would a new tank cost?, We're just electricians.  They couldn't even tell me how much it would be to send out a plumber.  

Since the furnace also produces hot water and the water was still coming out fairly hot I asked, Is there a way to turn up the temp on the furnace?. You guessed it, We're just electricians but, we can send a furnace person.  

TOTAL CHARGE FOR 12 MINUTES OF WORK? $325  

That's right, the $99 is just to drive the truck to your house.  It doesn't include any work.  That's about $27 per minute.  It took them longer to fill out the paper work.  I even had to put them on MY wifi so they could do it.  Maybe I should charge them for that.  I'll only charge them $25 a minute so, about $500.    

So I guess I would have been charged another $99 plus whatever else for a furnace person to come out and turn up the heat then, if the water still wasn't hot enough, another $99 plus whatever else to have a plumber come out to replace the water heater.  

The invoice I got doesn't even have a breakdown of what was done. Just one line that says they cashed my check.  Is that even legal?  They couldn't even tell me how much it would be to send out a plumber to tell me if I needed a new water heater or not.

I should have put this on my charge and disputed the charge.
