Best Electric Furnace Repair in Boston MA
On March, 2012 i contact Jonathan neves, to install a central air at my house, him and I agree to $4,500.00 for the installation of my unit, he will do all the installation plus he will buy the vent the need to be install. the rest was from me, a 5 tons carrier and all the rest..He promise to come here April 2nd of 2012..I give a deposit of $1,500.00. On April he got as he promise to work, contract said 3 days to finish the job..they work till friday, in no even have was done he ask for another $1,500.00 I paid that as well, and he took off for the next two week, without saying anything..I try to contact him, in two weeks later employer come to finish the job..One of his employer felt true the celling the part of the damage was repair. 3 weeks later, i ask for proof of ins. the work was going on at my house..he complain the he proof it, in come with his sister, saying I do not want to pay the rest of the money..After telling the job, its no done, in I want the paper about the job, he complain all was done, but he call his ins. they tell him I was right about the paper..he promise to come back with paper in finish the job..he left with AC working, but only worked for 2 hours or so.So I called him to come back in fixe it, he say he didn't know when he can come, i said i will call someone else to come in fixe it in he will pay. .I send him a video the AC keep stopping and trying to come back on but it do not..He said this...the 1st time electrician wired it wrong. If your filter is dirty then you will waste money paying someone to come and tell you the same thing. Turn the AC off for 1 hour with the fan in the on position, replace the filter, Then turn on the system with AC. Make sure to not put temp too low or the indoor coup will freeze.. I did all but nothing start, I send another video, the whatever U read here, I have it with text with him so the video as well. I look on the internet in here is what i found. 5 ton central air should have 30x36 grill(2-18x30 filters) (30x36)144*288=2160 max cfm..Why I look at it? because he only install one 2x18 filter..So the AC was looking for the right size.. fallow week, he come, i show him, he went up, in he decide the I was right, so he order one of his employer to install one more, so one more hole on my celling.. two weeks later, job done, but no all, but I want them out of my house with all the dust all over plus dirty all over( i have the photos for that as well) ..Well paper come, he call me to ask again for the money the was $1,500.00. I tell him to come in I will pay, he said over the phone I said no, so he come I paid...AC working great, but on Nov, heat didn't come on, was spark, I call him, a week later he send someone the fixed it..great all working great...A week later the fan on top come on, I call him, someone come was a wire the need to be exchange..great all working great.. may 2013, I want AC on, he come the problem again, AC want to come on but exact what it did in the past happen now, (I have the video, and I replace all the filter) I called Jonathan, explain, he said he do not remember that happen before, I ask to come, he said he to busy in without saying anything else hung up. So my warranty of my unit work for a year its not up yet. To me he is a person, the want just the cash, in careless for a good customer, each one of the employed tell me how bad he is, in I should hold last payment, but I put trust.

I can't say enough about these guys. I had a broken garbage disposal and running toilet. After getting stiffed by another plumber closer to my house, I called Consolidated on a Friday afternoon. They immediately sent someone over and it was fixed within the hour. Incredibly responsive and professional. Love these guys.

Had a problem with upstairs toilet. Called 4 people, couldn't get anyone here within a week. Call Mass Plumbing and Heating, Welter came within 3 hours. Welter was respectful of current Covid issues, he was efficient, cleaned everything up, and in general...a nice guy to have working in the house. Highly recommend! Barbara C.

Decided to get proactive with our 20 year old American Standard furnace. Selected Main Stream Mechanical to do the install and couldn't be happier. Technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. Very well run company with great communication. Couldn't be happier.

Rich is fantastic.
I purchased a multi-family with a pair of ~30 year old Williamson Furnaces, and had multiple people evaluate the furnace / water heater situation. Rich was the most knowledgeable, honest, and up-front person I met. He holds himself and his work to a very high standard, and will take care of you as a client. He performs the work himself, and explains why he is doing things a certain way. He was also the only person who offered an explanation of why the units had different ductwork styles and fuel sources.
Rich coordinated an oil tank removal company, removal of the old units, and delivery of the new. He has a wealth of knowledge that one can only develop with experience. The installs are very clean, and he exceeded my expectations with the direct venting exhaust pipes. I have recommended Rich to friends and family, and will continue to do so.

In the midst of having lost some needed income during the already scary COVID lock down times, the heat in my unit stopped working. I reached out to a few places but I liked that Daniel was local and had good reviews- and most importantly he was willing to come out asap. I asked for a quote and he gave what I think was a reasonable number for coming out and said that if it didnt take him more than an hour, which it was unlikely to, he would only charge that (plus any needed parts). I was stressed about all money, but I needed the service and he came out that afternoon. Turns out that all that was needed was to fill the water reserve in my steam broiler- which involved turning a lever for 45 seconds. Having just bought the house, I felt so dumb and then super angry at myself that I was about to pay X dollars for a 30 second fix, but to my insane relief, Daniel said he wasn't going to charge me! Thank you so so much, and I assure you that from herein, you will be the only person I call for all my heating needs and maintenance calls! If only we had more people as kind and understanding in these times! :)

I was recently assigned Dello Russo as a subcontractor for installation on appliances I bought at Sears. [As an aside, that was a total debacle, and I wish I'd gone to Yale like I planned and found Dello Russo on my own to install! But anyway...]
I got a call from the owner about the installation time and he was very nice and very helpful even though Sears botched the order several times and he couldn't actually do it that day. The day of my rescheduled installation I got a call in the morning that the guys at Dello Russo had worked some kind of magic where they were able to get both of my appliances even though Sears had said it would probably be impossible.
The two installers (one is the brother of the owner) were young guys who were incredibly awesome (incidentally, also cute, if that matters to ya). Fast, efficient, cleaned up after themselves/my horrible gross water mess from letting a broken dishwasher sit too long... (I'm sure they've smelled worse but really, they were great). I feel like a jerk that I had no cash for tip, and I hope that they are paid well by Sears. I should mail something in.
I don't know if they usually travel all over the Boston area, but they came to Watertown. HIGHLY recommended.

Came out at short notice to help with an AC system that wasn't cooling sufficiently. Smart, personable, straight-shooter. A pleasure working with him.

I made an appointment with MacCo for the annual servicing of my ac and heating units. The person who answered the phone, Victor, explained that the price was the same as the previous year, but if I chose to pay by credit card there would be a 5% surcharge. I was told that I could choose to pay by cash or check instead to avoid the 5% surcharge. I was also told by Victor that he would confirm the appointment by phone the day before. On the day of the appointment, I never heard from Victor so I called the office to confirm. Victor was rather snippy and claimed he called me the day before, but my phone was busy. He could've emailed me, texted me or tried calling again, but he did none of those things. Also, he said if I looked out my window I would see the plumber's truck in the parking lot. Guess what? My condo is in the back and doesn't face the parking lot! In any event, the servicing of my ac and heating units was done satisfactorily and the plumber was far more pleasant than Victor. I'm not sure if Victor was having a bad day or if he's always confrontational with customers when things don't go smoothly, but the fact is, when anyone works in a customer facing role, they need to act politely and professionally at all times.

Response time was fantastic, and it was very easy to set up our appointment to get a new sink installed and a leaky toilet fixed. Jim arrived not just on time, but a little bit early, and he worked diligently until the job was complete. Friendly service, too. Everything looks great, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Would definitely recommend Pescatore Mechanical Contractors to others!

Finally a great company you can rely on to get the job done! I have used them for my multi-family home for years and have always been so happy to have this wonderful team of people to help me out. From Joanie in the office to all the great plumbers, Brandon, TJ, Kyle, Jorge to name a few they are all so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They are easy to work with, they call you 1/2 hour prior to arrival, cover their boots when they are in your home and have a low monthly charge for their service plan, which is worth every penny.
Brandon has been out the most and he is a wealth of knowledge. He had so many issues to figure out this go around and he found all the issues in a methodical way. He's straight up trustworthy too. One leak was from the tenants toilet and needed a new flange and was pulled and set, and an old cast iron pipe cut and replaced with new pvc drain line. Another leak was from an old laundry valve which left a lot of water in the basement who knew?! An old shower valve was causing the rattle and was replaced. Lastly the for the other toilet problem, he suggested I buy a toilet and he would install it saving me hundreds of dollars! He even gave me the brands that he liked for toilets. Brandon even checked my furnace, gave me some suggestions and gave me a quote on the water heaters that are close to replacement. It was like having a family member checking to make sure everything was okay in the house!
Thank you to Boston Standard for all the hard work!

I had contacted Rodenhiser to come out and unhook an old Gas stove and hook up a new stove. mind you he was here for roughly 1 hour. The only additional work he had to do was change the old valve located behind my stove with a new one which took 5 minutes and then hook up the new stove. To change the valve he unscrewed the old one applied gunk around the pipe for the new one and than screwed it on.
I was totally shocked at the charges $628.12 minus a $50 dollar coupon Really! Wow! He had absolutely no work breakdown as to why I was charged so much. Just a flat rate he said. That I've never heard of before.
The Tech was nice but not at this price.
I will never ever use them again and I will never say a good word to many of my friends about them either. Word of mouth is powerful.

I've worked with Jim and his team since the 1980s. The company does quality work, stands by their products and services, shows up on time, leaves the worksite clean, and they are very transparent about costs, warranties, and +/-of products. I highly recommend this professional company.

We discovered Cranney when our prior HVAC vendor couldn't fix our furance after 6 weeks of frustration. Cranney came in and correctly diagnosed and fixed it right away. Then we used Cranney to replace our water heater. We could not be happier with the employees (we've interacted with 6 different plumbers, HVAC and electricians) as well as the customer service folks. They are all outstanding. Whether we call on the weekend or after hours, we have been treated extremely well. I read the review from 2/4/23 which I think unfairly slams Cranney on a day that was -33 degrees and likely many households with frozen/burst pipes (we were one of them). We have found them extremely helpful and customer focused. Will continue to use them for all our HVAC needs. Kathryn and Scott

I called for HVAC repair at the start of the cold weather and they said someone would be out later that day -- even giving me a time window in which to expect them. They then canceled last-minute during that window, leaving me without heat after I had already turned down other companies due to my exising appointment with them. The best they would offer as a rescheduled appointment was not for another month.
I took a chance on a company without any reviews and this is the result. Call them at your own risk.

We have not had good experiences with Pann. We initially used them for plumbing issues in our two family house and found them to be expensive and there is no consistency in the contractors who come for repairs. Some were adequate and some were just plain incompetent, none seemed to be very good. We have since changed to a local plumber and find them to be very good and responsible and we are satisfied. It seems as if Pann is a big clearinghouse that contracts unemployed plumbers, regardless of ability, and that their main focus is to sell you an ongoing maintenance plan. Whenever I called I never got the same person and there does not seem to be any accountability within the company.
I would definitely not recommend them, they are overpriced and very inconsistent.

Terrible customer service. Their advertisements on TV are total bunk. We had a leaky pipe and they hit us with an $1800 estimate. None of which was broken down. They absolutely refuse to give you the courtesy of a return call. I've been waiting a week to hear back from the plumber. I also called and asked to talk to somebody in management. I was assured I would hear back by the end of business. Well, that was a lie. That was two days ago and I've heard nothing. Avoid this business!!!
