Best Plumbing Inspection in Washington DC
We urgently needed our garbage disposal replaced. They bought it, removed the broken one and replaced it with the new one. The worker put down a tarp and kept everything very clean and dry. The price was fair for what they did.

Isaac Guevara is a terrific plumber. He installed a new hot water heater for us. He does the work himself, did a great job, everything to code, good quality work, cleaned up, and at a reasonable cost.
None of the usual rigamarole of plumbers; instead Isaac is honest, has over a decade of plumbing and contracting experience, and does a great job at a reasonable price.
Highly recommend!

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done. They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.
And, Geoff, Mark, & Brian, our new master bathroom looks and functions beyond our expectations. Thank you!

If you are looking for an honest, skilled plumber, look no further! Jorge at DrainWorks is the one to call!
I contacted Jorge from DrainWorks Plumbing and Heating after seeing positive reviews on Yelp. We had two old toilets that were beyond repair. Jorge came out today with two new toilets and installed the first toilet without incident. Upon examining the flange for the second toilet, he noted that that flange was turned 90º and needed repair. Jorge went to get a flange repair kit and spent a lot of time with a difficult installation prior to putting in the toilet.
The installation was beyond professional. The toilets were not cheap $80 toilets from Home Depot. Jorge made sure to upgrade our toilets. The toilets are water savers (as are all new toilets), but these toilets have a wider flapper which creates a stronger flush. AND THE TOILET SEAT and LID are self-closing (no more toilet seat bangs in the middle of the night; and with a finger tap on the toilet lid, my kittens will not be able to drink from the toilet if we forget to lower the lid.)
When he was preparing to leave, Jorge noticed that the drain in the bathroom was slow. He asked me if I wanted him to look at it. He snaked the drain and re-assembled the drain under the sink. Now all of the bathroom sinks in the house are free-flowing! I am impressed that Jorge made himself available to take care of this additional problem at a reasonable rate.
Jorge is very customer-oriented, and his prices are quite fair. He explains everything clearly and concisely. He makes the time to address customer questions and concerns. I felt that I was a very special client. I am sure that all of his clients feel well-taken care of! We have asked him to get back with quotes for future projects. We have found our plumber!

Mahon plumbing is the biggest, most inappropriate people I have ever met. Greg Mahon might be the biggest asshole on the planet. He is building a home near mine and I have heard nothing but terrible things about him from all of the neighbors around him. He doesn't notify them of anything, has caused all kinds of damage he doesn't plan on taking responsibility for, and make consistent rude and completely inappropriate comments. I went and talked to him personally about some damage to my property and he went off on me and my wife. I mean went off. Saying that I was this and I was that. I really didn't know what to say in response as I was totally taken off guard. I have asked around about him too and Anne Arundel County officials as well as other local business owners all know and are familiar with how inappropriate this guy is. One County official just rolled his eyes and said, we have had more than one complaint about Greg Mahon. If you need plumbing services or anything for that matter please look for another service. Mahon Plumbing could possibly be the worst people on the planet. I am not joking.

Don't bother called twice and no call back. If this company is very busy they can at least call to let you know they can't handle anymore clients. If they don't call back it tells me they don't care about customers or future clients.

Greg from Quality Sewer and Drain does great work! Helped us out in an emergency situation and we have continued to use them since. No regrets! I highly recommend!

Burchell replaced the cartridge in my shower and did such an excellent job. He figured out that parts of my shower was calcified preventing the cartridge from working properly. Thank you Burchell! I'll be sure to come back to you guys if I have any other plumbing issues.

Very very prompt in all aspects-- on my initial request, same day appointment and same day resolution. Paul and his assistant replaced our water heater and also fixed my master bathroom shower! He even followed up to make sure the water was indeed hot a couple hours after completing the job. Would highly recommend Carson Plumbing!

Bob responded in a timely manner and was able to come to my home quickly. He diagnosed the issue (at no cost) and was able to correct it right then and there. I will definitely call on him again if I have any other issues.

We've had to contact Service Force Plumbing on multiple occasions in the last couple years. The first time was because our water heater completely crapped out in the dead of winter. I can't remember who it was that inspected it and confirmed the issue. But he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to order a new water heater and have it scheduled to be installed the next day.
Roy then came the next day to install our water heater. He ended up coming on a weekend during off business hours to finish the installation. He also helped us with a couple other things we had some concerns with. He was very patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
A couple days after, we had to call them again to follow up with one of our existing issues. Roy once again came by and did a really great job breaking everything down and explaining it to us step by step.
Then recently, we had some more leak concerns because our water bill was extremely high. We worked with Harold this time around. He was professional, knowledgeable and also very helpful.
Everyone we have ever worked with from Service Force Plumbing has been consistently great. We definitely won't be working with anyone else!

I had used this company for years and was more than satisfied; however, two years ago I enlisted their service and was met with no-call, no-shows. I then got an apologetic email that they had revamped their customer service, so decided to give it another try. Again I was disappointed; this time took off work twice for a scheduled appointment that never happened. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

Elite plumbing & Home service is a great company and my go to company for all my plumbing needs. Jeremy my plumber today took the time to answer all my questions and took the time to remove a rod that some neighborhood kid dropped into my pipe through a cracked cap. Trust me you will not find a more honest company that is not over priced.

Lee and his team just finished a wonderful master bathroom remodel for my wife and I. They completely gutted the bathroom, installed floor to ceiling tile according to our wishes, rainfall shower head, new toilet, light fixture, new finishings, and even a custom floating wood countertop for the sink. They were able to complete the job in three weeks for a very reasonable price, and we are very satisfied with the results. Lee and his crew are nice and professional. Lee knows what he's doing and was able to work with us and accommodate any requests or changes of plan we brought up.

I really wanted to work with this company based on reviews and a recommendation. I tried to reach them 5 times. I hoped to schedule two appointments. One for a home furnace repair and one for an HVAC audit.
My first call someone said they couldn't schedule me, but someone would call me back within an hour. They never did. I tried calling two more times, but their phones weren't working. So, I chatted with someone online, and submitted an online request for service...Still, no one called me.
I finally reached someone today. They said I would have to pay over time if I wanted anyone out to our house within a week. They gave me a 12:00-4:00 window on Thursday. I asked if it could be 12-3. The answer was no, you could do earlier if you want to pay overtime.
I told them to please convey to someone there that I was flexible with them and I regret it. I would go work with Cropp Metcalf instead.
I can't say the people at Thomas Clark were rude, but I can't say they were helpful. They waisted an entire day, and added a headache to something that should have been pretty easy.

Received an estimate for repairing and replacing outside drain by breaking concrete and repairing pipe up to 5ft into the home as needed. Estimate also including back-filling with concrete up to the previous level. I authorized the ESTIMATE OF SERVICE and the credit card was charged by the vendor 3 days before the work was scheduled and almost a full week before it was actually performed due to rain. After contacting vendor 2 days after the rains to obtain a schedule for the repair, I was advised that it would be the next day but the time estimate didn't seem certain. After having someone wait all day for the service, I advised the vendor that if repair wasn't performed by the rescheduled date, a new plumber would be contacted.
The work was done on the rescheduled date after 5pm. The actual repair required only replacing outside drain and 6-12 inches of pipe. SIGNIFICANTLY less work than estimated. When I inquired as to a discount for the service that was performed, I was advised that there are no discounts because the scope of work was with the anticipation of having to go further. I advised the vendor that the auto repairman doesn't charge me for what he could have done when the work turns out to be something different, and that I was disappointed, but learned a lesson. To that I received no response. Had I been there to monitor the work, I would have asked about revising the estimate and had I known there would be no change in the amount, I would have had them dig out and replace the full 5 feet of pipe to get my money's worth.
I advised the person who recommended this vendor that I was disappointed and would never use or recommend them for future work. She indicated that she had never received a negative response from any recommendation and I told her that I guess someone had to be the 1st.
The shame is that had the work been more than estimated, you can guarantee the vendor would have required additional payment. But since the service was less, I as the customer, am SOL. Sadly, not even the 10% discount from the vendors website was offered as a concession.
I would love to retain business cards and request or recommend repeat business by the service providers I've used, but after having dealt with 5 contractors in 5 years. I have yet to find 1 who doesn't do sloppy work or sloppy business.
This is my review. Take it for what it's worth.

They came to work on my heating boiler. The pilot light was out.
They got the pilot light lit by cleaning the thermocoupler, and then the serviceman was out the door so fast that i couldn't even confirm that our radiators were all heating up...
sure enough, one of the radiators didn't heat up...
it's been multiple calls back to Spartan to try to get a service man to come back. Super annoying...
They seem totally confused and disorganized. I would not recommend them.
If someone named Jay answers - I wish you the best of luck, because you are going to need it.
