Pros: Quick response, and they came out to provide a free estimate the same day. They wore booties in the house which was nice of them. And they thoroughly explained what they needed to do and how much each step of the job would cost.
Cons: Price, plain and simple. The quote they gave us to fix a trap and a supply line was upwards of $450. And hearing the cost breakdown for parts and labor just sounded ridiculous, and I'm barely a plumbing novice. They were going to charge us something like $50 for one of the washers! They charge by the job not by the hour, and things rack up fast if you have a few minor things that all need doing.
After calling a couple of other places I found someone in Berkeley who did the work for a third of the price. Maybe this is an unfair review because I have the feeling that with Mr Rooter you are paying for response time. It took a few days with the plumber we ended up going with to fit us into his schedule, but that was fine with us since the work wasn't urgent.

My wife has been doing business with these guys for decades and they have been consistently providing us with great service. We were recently forced, due to a PG&E program, to deal with California Energy and had huge problems with them. When one of the units they put in two years ago went down, we called Tromborg and, once again, they came though for us (clearly no hard feelings on their end). When my wife called late morning they recognized her and said they were very busy but would fit us in between 3PM and 6PM. They got here at 4PM and we were back up and running by 4:30PM (dirty flame sensor - after only 2 years! Not good Trane). We highly recommend them for fast competent, and reasonably prices service.

I can't say enough good things about Nick at Advanced Plumbing. We all know plumbing issues are frustrating--and before Nick I had been dealing with gruff (sometimes mean) plumbers that made everything even more frustrating. Nick is the opposite--a genuinely nice, friendly, and super helpful guy. Very knowledgeable, very thorough, very diligent, very responsive (all of this is very rare). He even went out of the way to come back to my apartment to help me hook up my dishwasher and fridge. Highly highly recommend!

I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced, so called a few companies, including On-Call. Joven answered the phone and gave me a guaranteed flat rate that was very competitive (others provided a range of rates). He showed up right on time - very prompt, was courteous, and had the repair done in about an hour. This included some extra pipe work he did free of charge, as he felt the prior work done by another plumber wasn't up to par.
I feel confident that I have found my go to plumber here in SF.

Awesome job. Luis and team were fast and reliable. My storm drain wasn't draining at all. He found the issue and fixed it quickly. After talking to and working with others, I recommend Luis and Excalibur over others.

Called 1am with a clogged main line. Saul and team arrived at 8am. Fixed by 8:30am. Instead of snaking it, I did the jet flush 3000psi for $595.
Fixed. Fast. Super courteous. I have added them to my plumbing book for future fixes.

Five stars! I had a sewer main clog last night and called a rooter to come. After charging me $400, that doofus said I needed $3400 more to fix the problem b/c the main was all busted up. WELL, I got Vincent's name from a friend and he came out the next day with his amazing camera. After looking through 90 feet of sewer line, he determined it was in pretty good shape, and it's not even clay (cast iron). And get this: he charged me NOTHING! Nada. Zilch. I will be calling Vincent Gaines again if a sewer problem occurs. Hire this man! He is one of the few honest men in the biz.

We have had very good service from HC. The latest was during the recent cold snap. Our furnaces were down and we called on HC, who sent someone out the next day. He was on time, explained exactly what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. Best of all, he did fix it for a reasonable price.

Mo and his team did a fantastic job on my sewer line, I can't say thank you enough!
They came 20 min after I called on Thursday afternoon and help me with clogged sewer line. Quickly they identified the issue and found out the pipe is filled with roots.
It has been an issue over the years and now comes to a point the I have to replace the pipe.
With the expectation the job wont finish until Saturday, he gathered extra crew to help with my situation and the whole project is done Friday afternoon. I'm so happy that I chose them and my mind is finally at ease.
I definitely recommend wizard plumbing especially Mo, with such a stressful event, Mo has been nothing but professional, he basically took care of everything and my work is not impacted at all. Thank you Mo!

Alansi's Plumbing is about as good as it gets. I have worked with several contractors and none compare to Yehia and his team. He decomissioned an old boiler for us and installed new gas lines for our furnace, as well as, installed gas lines for a gas fireplace. Alansi's Plumbing nailed every part of the job:
- Prompt with scheduling and delivering an estimate
- Showed up on time, every single day. Wore masks, shoe covers, etc.
- Communicated any changes in the job, helped problem solve with me to find the best solution
- Created a clean work environment and left the workspace clean every day
- HIGH QUALITY work. When I show people the finished job, they say the work looks awesome (who says that about gas lines?)
- Great, friendly team, and best of all fair pricing. Alansi's wasn't the cheapest but for the quality it was well worth it.
Overall a great and honest plumber. Would hire again in a second.

I discovered a leak in the pipe that leads from the water meter to my house.....which means it is the homeowner's responsibility. On the first day, it was a little water coming up onto the sidewalk around a utility box. By the second day, the water leak was more intense causing more seepage onto the sidewalk.
I contacted 10-12 different local plumbers and I had only about eight that came on site to assess the problem.
The responses as to what the actual problem was, and the best approach to remedy the situation was very interesting. It certainly reinforced the principle that you should have several interpretations of the problem and methods of correction, as well as the cost before you proceed.
In my situation, it seemed the problem was compounded by two different utility boxes (phone and electrical) along the route of the water pipe. In addition, the surface above the pipe was all covered by concrete (no lawn or planter boxes).
At least two of the plumbers that came were quite upfront and said they were not equipped to do the job: did not have concrete cutting machinery, and/or were not sure how to circumvent the utility boxes.
The other plumbers varied considerably in their knowledge of the problem.....and varied even more as to the cost to repair.
Then Odi from Oakland Rooter Plumbing came. He quickly surveyed the problem and exhibited knowledge of the underlying issues. He proposed to minimize the amount of concrete cutting and was able to bypass the utility boxes by taking a route that paralleled the existing pipe.
He was able to cut the trench, replace entire new copper pipe from the meter to the house, and restore water supply in six hours. He returned the following morning to finish the concrete work in a few more hours. Better yet, the cost was very reasonable; and was almost half the cost of the highest bidder, another company that would've dug up half my driveway and taken twice the time.

W I N N E R - 5 Stars from here on Earth to the Moon.....
History / Why / Process (breakdown):
- For all you homeowners selling your home (built in 1980's) in West Contra Costa County.... you will need to conduct a sewer inspection. If your sewer line is not perpendicular to the City sewer line HONEY you will need to fix prior to selling your home - OMG really... $$$
- My dad was calling all sewer repair companies from the Bay Area to Sacramento and he saw reviews on Yelp for Advanced Trenchless (5 stars across the board)
- This company made the process seamless....... Provided the quote, Fix the Sewer Line to be up to code ($3,800 WORTH IT), worked with the City for approval and sign off (customer has no interaction with the City), staff communicated with the customer status (approved, repatch the grass lawn, and what to expect) & lastly city provided us (customer) via mail the hard copy of the sign off...ALL in 1 DAY
Ladies and Gay Men - the workers are easy on the eyes too (cute, hott, and muscular)..... Ohhh I wished he fixed my LINE - ok I need to stop before Yelp suspends my account again lol......

One of the secrets to a happy life is to find a good plumber, and Heise's is the best I've worked with. Ignore any grouchiness, they're very very very good, super honest guys, do solid work, *very* creative at solving problems and drop by on a moment's notice for jobs big & small. Please say hi for me-- Dave, Fred & team are the nicest guys once you get to know them.
If you have a clogged toilet, you can save money with some cheapo rooter company, but when you need a tricky installation, upgrade or replacement, Heise's is terrific.

Customer service simply doesn't get any better than this. Responsive, efficient, friendly and knows his business. I have rarely seen anyone work as hard as Frank, and his prices are beyond fair. I wish there was a way to give him another star in this rating.

Incredibly responsive, very competitive prices, arrived on-time, performed great work, and was very tidy and courteous. Look no further for your plumbing needs. Kenny is fabulous!

I called Plumbing Guys for a professional evaluation of my plumbing system that was installed 16 years ago but shows signs of serious corrosion at the joints. Meño came out and gave me honest advice not to replace the system since the situation did not warrant the expense. It would have been easy to fool me into a whole new system, but Meño was honest, and I really appreciate his integrity. I would recommend Plumbing Guys highly. Thank you.

It's never fun to come home to a clogged kitchen drain, especially on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. We reached out to a b drain and spoke with an extremely professional representative that scheduled Raffi to come to our house the same day. Not only did Moses arrive earlier than expected but he was professional, straightforward, and great to work with. He also walked us through each step he took, making us feel very confident in the work performed. I highly recommend him!

Father son team. Joel is great guy, and I had a great first experience. He was communicative throughout and showed his knowledge even before arriving. He was the only plumber that gave an estimate upfront out of a half dozen. I called a diamond certified plumber first and Golden Coast was an infinitely better experience. He was thoughtful, conscientious, and efficient as he had my kitchen sink back up and running in less than 30 minutes. I will definitely use Golden Coast again!
