Best Water Heater Installation in Reno NV

Wallace and his team are awesome. I first called them out to set a new tub and reconfigure my shower valve in a bathroom I'm remodeling. They showed up on time, provided a fair quote in a timely matter, and performed excellent work. I called them out for a second time to fix a leak in my second bathroom. Same excellent service. Most recently I called them for a leak in my third bathroom (yes my house is old). They came out on less than 24 hours notice and fixed the issue.  Responsive, fast, and follow up. Ten thumbs up.

John of Bertani can out to our home on a Saturday afternoon to provide us with expert advice on what should be done to correct an isssue with a shower stall that was leaking.  He was very clear as to how the problem would be correct and shared many tips as to how it could be done in an economical way and still maintaining a high level of quality. John was great. Ultimately he did not provide any plumbing services for our house, but he did spend over 10 minutes with me on the phone talking through all the various potential issues and the various options I could choose. He even had a recommendation to do it myself if I didn't want to have to pay a plumber! Imagine that, an honest business man suggesting something that could take business from himself! He did recommend me to go with another plumbing company, which turned out to be a fantastic recommendation (see my other plumber reviews for details).

I had a gas leak in my home and NV energy shut off all the gas on a Sunday. I called Savage and Son and spoke with Dave on Monday. He was extremely helpful and scheduled me right away. He was very sympathetic to my situation of having twin baby girls in the house with no gas available. No hot water, laundry, stove etc.His follow up was great as well. It took a few days with a great guy named Mike at my house but all the issues were resolved. I cannot thank you guys enough!

Gibson Plumbing was involved in two of our bathroom remodels, so when we had a issue with our water main we called Gibson Plumbing. Absolutely the most honest people I have found in this area. He explains everything in a way that makes it understandable. Also is VERY fair on pricing, doesn't try to sell stuff people don't need. Not commission based so they don't push items to make more money. They are the kind that you keep as 'your own plumber' forever. That type. Locally owned which is a big deal to me. Neat, clean, professional, no plumbers crack showing. If that matters--- got to add some humor. To me the level of professionalism balances perfectly with the quality of work. They are the best team, Barb and David, trust them if you need anything small or large. I honestly cannot believe that these days there are still companies that operate that are this GREAT!

I had a problem with pipe that busted at our home. My husband dug up the ground and found. I called my regular plumber at Mr. Rooter they had no one available that night. So I called jet spoke to a gentleman who did not tell me about their rate. At first he sounded as if I had waking him up.  Than he calls me back saying he had his underground guy that will come. 2 guys show up they did a good job and were there from 10:05 until 11:05.  When I asked what is the damage I was handed a 700.00 plus bill. For 2 hours. Although I appreciate it the work . A charge for a second person was not what I was told. I called and a lady answers and said she will have the owner call me regarding my concern and she proceeded to keep talking over me. Apparently she liked to hear her own voice and I have yet to hear from the owner.

A-1 Plumbing is an unethical business that overcharges its customers. I was referred to them to repair a leaky toilet water connection (from the water outlet on the wall to the toilet tank). Their repairman Roger decided to replace the fill valve inside the tank (which was unnecessary) in addition to the leaking external flex tubing. He charged $370.00, $185.00 for the fill valve (Lowe's price $18.48) and $185.00 for the 20 minutes of installation. Potential customers should be aware of this fraudulent business.

Disappointment is an understament!

Where do I start? I had this company come out a couple of years ago and they did some service for me and I was happy with the work so I thought since my mom was looking to change out her toilets, I would refer them to her. What a mistake I made.

The appointment was initially scheduled for Tuesday from 8-9. At 11 a.m, nobody had shown up. Called and left a message and installer called to say he had no idea that he was supposed to be there at that time and that he could be there by 2. He then called back at about 1 and said that he couldn't do the work at all because he didn't have the tanks needed for the job and that he would have to reschedule. One entire day wasted.

The installer decided he could come out and install on Saturday. Made an appointment and he actually showed up this time during the time he had stated with the toilets in hand. After three hours, I thought that this ordeal was finally over.

Thursday, my mom calls me telling me there's water all over the floor in one of her bathrooms. I run over there, turn off the water, she gets off the phone with the installer who says it's totally normal for something to be loose and leak like that and he couldn't come out that day but that he would be by after 4 on Friday. Well, he couldn't make that appointment either so he called to say he would come out Saturday morning.

While I was there, I checked all of the toilets and noticed that the seats that were installed were the thinnest, cheapest seats I have ever seen. When I originally called to place the service order, I asked to have installed at her house the EXACT same toilets they had installed at my house just a year ago. Once I noticed that, I surely thought that there was a mistake and they would come out and replace the seats. Well, that's not what happened. After several messages, phone calls and many many days filled with frustrations, owner calls back and says I had requested the cheapest possible seats to be installed and if she wanted the same seats it would cost $45 per seat! Which would add up to an additional $135.

At the time I was requesting quotes for this work, Savage and Sons was higher by about $50 so I thought I would save her the money and go through Root-o-matic, boy what a mistake this was.

I was hoping the company would have tried to do whatever they could to fix the problems she has had but they have done absolutely nothing! All together, an entire Tuesday was lost, half of a Saturday, and an hour for a follow up to fix the problem on something that should have taken no more than 4 hours. And now she has to go buy seats since they took away her old seats which would have been way better than these plastic things she had installed.

The guy that came out was extremely helpful. He tried using the pipe snake to unclog our toilet but it just wasn't happening. He suggested we replace out toilet because there was something wedged so tightly in our current toilet that he would not be able to get it out. He saw my no shoes sign and made sure to get bootie covers on his boots. :-) He was polite and had a great sense of humor. Even invited him to our BBQ. He was just awesome!

We went with the american standard champion, since it made claims to flush 16 golf balls in one flush. No more clogged toilets hopefully! Thinking about switching out our other toilet after seeing the performance of our new toilet. lol Never thought I would be impressed by a toilet.

No military discount but he did give me several pointers on how to save money replacing my toilet. If we did it ourself would save the most obviously. So he told us some tips for replacing the toilet and it was a breeze!

THANK YOU DREW!!  Because of the quick response from Chad the manager at Preferred plumbing I am revising my review.  Chad contacted me about my issues.  Chad sent Drew out to see if the problem could be corrected without breaking up my new concrete. Drew came out assessed the situation, listened to my concerns, came up with a solution and Chad made it a reality!  DREW came the next day and worked diligently, went above and beyond and now I have use of my sprinklers.  Once again that you both DREW and CHAD!!

We had them out for various plumbing issues through our home warranty. Carlos was super nice and fixed the more run-of-the-mill plumbing issues with no problem, but he just couldn't figure out the issue with our water heater/recirculation pump. They came out 3 or 4 times and kept replacing the pump, but the issue (had to wait 2 minutes before getting hot water) would still persist. Finally, their dispatcher rather rudely said they couldn't help us and basically said our house was just too big. The home warranty company reassigned us to another company, who diagnosed and fixed the problem on the first try, and now we have hot water in 10 seconds throughout our big house. While Friendly Plumbing was friendly in the beginning, I would not do business with them again because of that last exchange with their dispatcher.

Smart, reasonable, and fast! Definitely recommend this company! After 3 other plumbers failing on my shower this guy finally got it fixed! Didn't charge an insane amount of money. For sure going to keep as my main plumber from now on!
