Got an appointment less than 48 hours out (not an emergency), and David called the morning of to suggest what he thought the problem was and if I could do it myself, we could cancel and save the money. Thanks, but I didn't want to do it myself! I appreciate the gesture and free advice. Also advised of a change in morning work before me that might cause a little delay.
Installed new faucet in 25 minutes, almost half the time he estimated! Friendly, quick, clean service, advised on what to look out for in the future, warranty, and was on his way. Overall, great experience with zero fuss and a fair price for services.

David came out today to fix the leak in my tub's hot water faucet. He arrived on time, explained the issue and the fix, and was very efficient.

5 Star is who I will call for any future plumbing needs.

Five star plumbing really is five stars! No one calls a plumber happy and in a good mood and the women who answered the phone was so friendly and so calming! Within minutes I had a same day appointment and reassurance my issue would be resolved!

The appointment itself was so easy. The service plumber was friendly and knowledgeable and resolved my issue timely and so inexpensive.

This is the best plumbing company I worked with. Dave is very skilled as a master plumber, and Barbara is very professional with setting up the appointments .  They have reasonable prices and the work quality is great. I highly recommend them anyone who needs a plumber.

Roots from some large trees in my front yard clogged my main sewer line (again) and I needed someone to come and clear it out.  Called in the morning and they were able to send someone to check it out that same afternoon.  

David was fast, friendly, and professional at getting the job done.  From chatting with him its clear this company tries to provide a great service for a fair price so they can keep their customers coming back.  Personally, I think they did just that and I'll happily call them again when the need arises.

Despite this review being well overdue, it shouldn't take away from how great 5 Star Plumbing Services is! On August 1st, 2022, I came home and found water pooling in my crawl space due to what I thought was a broken pipe. I immediately shut off my water and started searching for plumbers. I started sending messages in the hopes someone would respond the next day to let me know their availability as I was without water and needed the issue fixed as soon as possible. To my surprise, shortly after sending an inquiry to 5 Star Plumbing Services, I received a text message response in which they asked me for more details and let me know they would have someone call me first thing in the morning to see what time they could come by. The next morning David and Barbara (both extremely kind people) called me and were able to fit me in the schedule for that afternoon. David arrived as scheduled and quickly identified the problem. Thankfully, it was not a broken pipe, rather a pressure relief valve (PRV) that needed to be replaced. David explained to me the issue and was up front and honest about all pricing. He had the replacement part on his truck and was able to fix it at that time. I was so grateful to have found an affordable plumber with great customer service. Without the prompt response of 5 Star Plumbing Services and their willingness to help me out immediately, I would have been without water a lot longer. I have found my plumber and will not only be reaching out to them for any future needs I may have, but will also highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

I can't say enough good things about this business.  They truly provide 5 star service as they came out the same day,  fixed our problem and provided excellent customer service. Barbara and David are delightful and so,  so helpful. Also,  super reasonably priced.

Thank goodness for David and Barbara at 5 star plumbing! I had a major clog in my kitchen/laundry room that was backing up into my sinks and flooding my laundry room.
I reached out to them via Yelp and had a response from Barbara in 10 minutes. I called her and she was very empathetic and was able to schedule David for the next morning.

David called before he came so I was able to explain the exact problem as well as talk to him about issues we were having with a bathroom. He arrived on time and immediately assessed the situation and got to work.

3 hours later the clog was history and my bathroom was fixed. David was kind and professional and explained everything. When presented with my bill, I felt it was extremely reasonable for the work that had been done. Their prices are much more competitive than other places that I called and they were so much more responsive! I will definitely use 5 Star plumbing for any future issues and will highly recommend to my friends and family. Truly a 5 star experience!

5 Star Plumbing hasn't completed my repair and I am already so impressed.  A few of the other companies could not get us till over a week.    It was an emergency water leak from inside the wall.    The water was leaking in the garage, bathroom, bedroom closet.   5 Star Plumbing made calls to move the schedule around to get one of their top guys to swing by home within the hour!

They responded to EVERY call quickly and effectively.  They arrived on time, communicated directly with my tenants and warranty company.   They are coming out tomorrow morning again to complete the repair.  (With this being a home warranty issue, they couldn't get approval to move forward during their first visit)

They updated me thoroughly with possible service needs to repair the leak. (They will not know what will be needed for sure, till they open the wall)   They said they will try their best to not have me needing to call on other service providers to repair the walls, cabinets, and/or carpet.  

They just seem to get it.   I know all will be taken care of perfectly.

This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review for any business. Barb and Dave absolutely live up the five stars. Barb is very polite and was able to arrange for Dave to come to my house to fix a clog within several hours of my calling her. Dave is the epitome of expertise, class, and politeness. He has impeccable attention to detail and double checked his work until he was satisfied that he had completely solved the issue. As a surgeon I appreciate attention to detail. Barbara and Dave truly personify this quality in their work.

I had some bad l luck with a couple of plumbers so, I was looking for somebody new to unclog my bath tub. I saw the excellent Reviews 5Star Plumbing received so, I decided to give them a try. That was my lucky day! Dave called to find out whether he could come a little earlier than scheduled and that was great. He found that my two bathrooms, divided by a wall, had tubs back-to-back and drained into the same pipe so, dirty water backed up into BOTH tubs... He wasted no time to unclog that pipe and cleaned up after himself - which was totally unexpected. He also, gave me a Senior discount without me asking for it!
I will never call another plumber - he is awesome!

We had a punch list of plumbing needs with some small fixes and 2 large fixes which were a broken toilet and an outdoor leaking spigot.  Upon arrival, David went over the list with us and then got right to work on the 2 biggest issues first.  He was able to complete all of our requests

Barb and Dave were both really friendly.  Dave is passionate about what he does and has 30+ years of experience.  He knows his stuff!  He was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently because he had all of the tools and parts with him.  5 Star Plumbing will be my go-to if I ever need them again.

It isn't easy learning all the new things to owning a house. And I don't even really own the house. My mom is still the owner, but after dad's passing 2 years ago, I became head of her household. Mom is unable to do many things. So, it's up to me to take care of things. There is no manual for adulting!

For the 3rd time in 10 years, the most recent being 2018, the water heater broke. And leaked again into the house. I found 5 Star Plumbing during the height of the pandemic and chose them because Dave always had a mask on.  He installed my gas dryer a year ago.  I recently had him come back to install a new kitchen faucet and reconfigure the valves under my sink.   He is extremely professional and personal.  Dave isn't trying to sell you anything you don't want or need--seriously. He is a hard working plumber who wants the customer to be happy with the end result.

We recently completed our Argo's/Quest home and following our 1 year builder's warranty, we searched for an excellent plumbing technician.

We scheduled David thru his lovely wife, Barbara, and created a punch out list of service items, ie. Flush our tankless water heater, through inspection and maintenance of our entire plumbing fixtures.

David is a detail guy. He jumped on our project with expertise and precision. If y'all are looking for a kind and experienced technician, with a hint of old school values, David is your man.

Unfortunately I think something happened to David. I am devastated. The phone isn't working and website is down. David is WONDERFUL. Hired him to move plumbing in our bathroom. Did a fantastic job at a great price point. He's knowledgeable and takes his time to educate. He knows which things we should save $ on and which things we have to buy the top of the line.

What a great, family-owned business! They were so accommodating, providing me with an exact appointment time (and being on time) vs. another plumber who gave me a 4-hour arrival window. Barb is an excellent communicator both via messaging, and with an update call telling me that David was on his way and his expected arrival time. David arrived on time and called from the driveway to let me know. He put on floor-protecting booties. He was polite, respectful, a dog-lover and a very skilled plumber! He got the two jobs done, perfectly, in 45 min. at a very reasonable price. David said that they guarantee their work for a year. I could not have had a better plumber experience, and I'm so happy we found Barb and David at 5-Star!

Very responsive, had trouble even getting other plumbing companies on the phone, but 5 Star had someone here within two hours during a week day. They were able to clear my very clogged kitchen sink drain line and the cost was very reasonable. David did a great job and even gave me tips to prevent it from occurring in the future. Definitely recommend calling 5 Star first.

Absolutely the most honest people I have found in this area. He explains everything in a way that makes it understandable. Also is VERY fair on pricing, doesn't try to sell stuff people don't need. Not commission based so they don't push items to make more money. They are the kind that you keep as 'your own plumber' forever. That type. Locally owned which is a big deal to me. Neat, clean, professional, no plumbers crack showing. If that matters--- got to add some humor. To me the level of professionalism balances perfectly with the quality of work. They are the best team, Barb and David, trust them if you need anything small or large. I honestly cannot believe that these days there are still companies that operate that are this GREAT!

I found them on Yelp. And I am sooooo great full that I found them. It is labor day weekend. My wife says shower water backing up. Then we get (crap) come out of all our sewer into all the bath tubes.  Yuk

Our water heater flooded the garage on a Sunday morning. Using Yelp we reached out to a few plumbers. 5-Star Plumbing responded within 15 minutes, and provided an honest estimate.  Dave was at our home within an hour. He is quite experienced, and worked efficiently.  He removed the old water heater, installed a new one, and hauled away all debris, all within about 4+ hours. We paid a small premium for the work done on Sunday, but it was worth it to us. We are grateful that Dave was willing to postpone his plans for that day, and help us. Barb called 2 weeks later as a follow-up to ensure our satisfaction.

I'm in a two story house. Water began dripping onto my breakfast bar and a large bubble developed in the ceiling with drip coming through it. I called 5 Star and got voicemail, leaving me wondering if I should call someone else. However, Barbara called me back in less than 20 minutes and apologized for having been on the phone. She had a technician who would be back in the office within the next few minutes and she would send him out.  Within approximately an hour the technician was at my house and working. It required cutting two holes in my ceiling to find the problem. The pipe leak was in one spot but had run down to where the water broke through. The cuts were done neatly and everything underneath was covered in plastic for protection. The problem was some type of connecting piece where the shower drain hooked into main drain. The technician explained everything, replaced the piece and provided the broken piece to me. He even tried to find someone who could replace the dry wall, but that place was too busy. I do have someone who can do it. I'm very satisfied with the company. I was afraid I would be waiting for days unable to use any water upstairs. The cost was extremely reasonable and everyone courteous and professional. They advertise that all employees are vaccinated against COVID-19, very important to me.

David the owner came out to fix a hose bib and had a great attitude, showed up on time and even fixed some heating ducts that were hung up with zip ties by another company. Will definitely call them again!!!

Look no further. This is the Master Plumber with a heart, and 5 Star Plumbing Services richly deserves the 5 star rating I award them. Within ten minutes of meeting David, I knew I'd gotten lucky. I was looking to have all the old galvanized and copper piping replaced in my old mobile home. I'm normally a diehard DIYer, but this was out of my league. Most places I called wouldn't even touch the job, others hit me with eye-popping, unreasonable estimates. David, however, immediately understood my situation and it didn't faze him. His estimate was extremely fair, and I jumped on it. But the good stuff didn't stop there. He fit me right into his schedule and showed up when expected. I was stunned at how much he took possession of the job. It seemed as if he was doing it for his own home. Every detail was accounted for, and he spared no expense with materials, using quality Pex A piping to totally repipe my house. Initially, he found that the main shutoff valve required a shorty curb key, and after buying one specifically for the job, he presented it to me for future use at no charge. And it didn't stop there. He encountered an additional problem with the faucet in my kitchen, and replaced it at no additional labor cost (and all with a smile). He also took the time to give me some plumbing tips for the future, and made sure to clean up old piping before he signed off on the job. To top it off, he has a good sense of humor, a winning personality, and a trustworthy demeanor. He is as conscientious and professional a tradesman as anyone could wish for, and by the time he was finished, I knew without a doubt he was a diamond in the rough. Also, I give big kudos to Barbara. She's the other half of the business, and it was a real pleasure to hear such a pleasing and friendly voice on the phone when I first made contact. Needless to say, I will look no further the next time I need any plumbing work, and I highly recommend 5 Star Plumbing to the people of Reno and surrounding area. You will not find better.

Barb and David are a great team. We are new to Reno and needed some plumbing services. Barb is quick to respond and is a great communicator -- a skill often overlooked in the service industry. David was on time and quickly got to the the issue at hand. We had a leak in the kitchen sink that was dripping in the crawl space. David diagnosed and repaired it efficiently. What I really appreciated about David is his knowledge of all issues plumbing related and he offered so many value added suggestions. In all honesty, he could charge for such valuable advice. David to the rescue again! A few weeks ago, on a Friday night our water heater went to appliance heaven. I contacted 5 Star on Saturday but was told they were booked until Tuesday. Fair enough. We'd camp at home for a couple of days. We received a call on Tuesday that it would be Wednesday since the starter went out in Davids van. On Wednesday David showed up first thing on the morning and started removing the old heater. When he took the insulation off the heater there was a huge rusted hole in the side of it and paint was bubbling up from rust under the surface. The back seam of the heater looked like a tin can after you put an M80 in it. Don't ask me how I know this. He put the new one in and it looks and works wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better job. You need a plumber? Call David.

Absolutely AMAZING service from Barb and Dave. Barb was super responsive and friendly. Very understanding of those of with busy workdays who sometimes take some time to respond. Dave arrived right on time, and was insanely efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Price was more than reasonable. 5+ star service indeed! Dave replaced our water heater.  He is reliable, knowledgeable and reasonable.  He was HALF the price of the first company we called.  We sent pictures to our friend in Arizona, a former plumber and long-time building inspector.  His response:  He (Dave) does very professional work.  What a find!  I've seen a lot of bad installs over the years.  Beautiful work done in a timely manner at a fair price...

My 93 year old mother had a plumbing problem and called me, her daughter in Sacramento, at 7:30am.  At 8:30am Dave came over to my mom's the same day, and fixed the issue.  I cannot say enough nice things about this plumbing company.  Friendly, courteous, and efficient.  This is customer service at it's best!
