We discovered a very clogged kitchen sink that was causing an overflow of dirty water across the kitchen floor. It was late evening. I went to the computer to search for a plumber. I called a few that advertised open 24/7 in their online pages. Not true...not true. I got voice messages on all of them. Then I tried Van Allen..... Wallace answered my call on the second ring. Wow...a real human being. He promised someone would arrive the next morning. Gabriel arrived promptly as promised. He wore a mask and observed all Covid-19 precautions. The sink was fixed and the mess cleaned up fewer than 12 hours after we discovered it. I asked him for a quote on a few other projects we had been meaning to get to. They were all FIXED before he left. There was one last item that required a special part. He promised to return the next day. He had to delay a few hours because of an emergency. He phoned me in a timely fashion and then showed up at the promised new time.

These guys are right on the ball. Fast, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Special thanks to Gabriel who did all the work. The price was fair for the work accomplished.

Very responsive to what we needed done which was to run an ice maker line and fix a long standing problem with a loose toilet. Came out same day both times we called and was professional.

It was great,  They were on time, the price was exaclty what he quoted.  Like with every job its not always as stright forward but they had the experpice to fix the issue and in less time than they estimated.  They even offered to help me move a few large appliances which was not apart of the bid.

Sean Lynch comes highly recommended on the Next Door app which is how I found him for my house in South Reno. It's super hard to find anyone reliable and who shows up never mind competitive . Sean is both and he did a great job doing all my Windows's inside and out and tracks and he screens. He showed up on time and was very thorough. Will be the guy from now on.

John of Bertani can out to our home on a Saturday afternoon to provide us with expert advice on what should be done to correct an isssue with a shower stall that was leaking.  He was very clear as to how the problem would be correct and shared many tips as to how it could be done in an economical way and still maintaining a high level of quality. This was my first time connecting with a plumber via Yelp and I could not be more pleased!  Luke arrived a few minutes early, which I really like.  The work was done quickly and the result was a flawless repair.  I really appreciate owner run businesses, they take great pride in their work and go the extra mile.  Ohnstad Pluming is now my go to plumber.  Highly recommend you use him for your plumbing needs and, yes, the 530 area code is correct. :)

Back in February I had rented a VRBO in Tahoe Donner to enjoy with friends and family. It was a lovely home, but the upstairs main toilet was an antique, and no match for two teenage boys. On Saturday morning, the darn thing backed up and sent up a rushing cascade of water faster than the Truckee River after an El Nino winter. The property owner was completely unhelpful and showed zero interest in the problem. Needless to say, this put a little dent on my winter Tahoe dream vacation.

Thanks to Yelp, and John Greenside, this disaster was quickly averted. I'm used to using a snake to unclog the toilet (ahem, teenage boys), but the one I purchased at the local Ace wasn't sufficient for this relic of a commode. John answered the call on a Saturday, came out within a couple of hours, brought out a plumbing python snake that dwarfed my store bought garter snake, and fixed the problem. At an exceptionally reasonable price.

I was obviously bummed at the property owner's response, and John went to bat for me, pointing out the toilet really needed to be replaced. He offered to speak with the owner and did so. Eventually, the owner agreed to split the cost with me.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. After getting multiple bugs to replace my water heater they came out as soon as possible and came  in hundreds under the other companies. They had the work completed within 24 hours. The office staff and Jason were so nice and professional. I will continue to use them with any plumbing issues I have.

Very prompt in responding to my inquiries. They really did a great job in buying new toilets for us and installing them. We were really satisfied with their work.

Best contractor experience ever! And I've had more than a few. Jay answered every phone call and email promptly. He actually listened to my questions and concerns and answered them appropriately, and I am female.  He never promised anything he didn't deliver. The employees were friendly and courteous.
The job was a large complex one, involving removing and replacing sewer and water lines for 3 contiguous houses. The entire job was orchestrated beautifully, started on time and completed in 5 days, in December. Yet I was never without any utility for more than a few hours. The City inspectors were happy.  I was happy. And oh yeah, the price was very competitive. I had quotes from 3 different contractors.

We had to have a new sewer line installed in our Moms house.  Josh Myers and the team from S&S went above and beyond to ensure the project was completed the best way and earlier than anticipated!  They experienced some obstacles but were able to overcome.  We would use them again for any plumbing needs.

Gibson Plumbing was involved in two of our bathroom remodels, so when we had a issue with our water main we called Gibson Plumbing. From our initial call with Michelle to Cary's speedy survey of our issue and plan to solve our problem, we were very pleased.  Daryl and Sal arrived as scheduled and worked in less than ideal conditions between a tree and brick wall!  Cary returned review the job with us. We are very pleased with this company.  Thank you to your staff.

Jonny is an AMAZING plumber and all around handyman!  He is very polite, professional and a hard worker.  I called him with a plumbing issue, he immediately called me back.  Within a few hours, he was at my home, properly diagnosed my plumbing issue and was ordering parts to get it fixed.  

The other reviews are NOT Jonny.  In fact, after reading the reviews I think the people are confusing Jonny's Root-O-Matic with another company.  

Do yourself a favor and call Root-O-Matic with your plumbing issues.  I have also had him perform other work around my home - he is a true handyman!  You won't be sorry!
