Yore Place! Plumbing is Curtis Leonard, a plumber we were turned on to by our real estate agent when we bought our home. Don't let the funny name deter you, this guy has been a pleasure to have work for us.
He is friendly, hard working, and extremely knowledgeable.
When we had him come in and bid the project, he offered to do time and material seeing as we were adding two bathrooms at once. Now, never do time and material with someone you aren't positive is experienced, because you will likely end up spending more money than getting a straight bid, but the way he communicated about the project convinced us that he knew what he was doing.
As the job has gone along, he has gone out of his way to take care of other plumbing related problems that have come about through years of do-it-yourselfers doing just that. Each thing he has alerted us to would not have passed an inspection (meaning the owners before us never had one), and he has taken the time to explain why it should be done differently. Thank God nothing horrible happened before he got here.
I would recommend Curtis to you with full confidence that the job he does would be beyond your expectation. He is good people.

I work for a restaurant chain in the Portland area and we needed our kitchen drains unclogged from a grease buildup. We originally had Rescue Rooter out and it was very clear that they were trying to run up the cost of the job without actually getting it fixed.
Then I called Clog Pro.
Danny came out and arrived even earlier than the window I was given. He had a great attitude, offered me great tips to keep the drains clear and charged a much more realistic price than Rescue Rooter did.
Clog Pro will be who I call for all of our restaurant needs and I suggest you do the same for your home or business.

Joel was excellent and effective in his work. He quickly diagnosed the problem (my error in an attempt at a fix...shocking) and went to work on fixing it. He was very courteous and quick in his work. Thank you Joel!

I searched around to find a plumber to do hydro-jetting, which is supposed to be a great way to unclog older pipes that have built-up gunk. I called David, with the Unplugger, and he said they don't do hydro-jet, but that a snake would be plenty to fix this issue. I was hesitant, but he assured me it would clean things out.
David was nice, came and snaked it, and things seemed ok until it wasn't a week later and it was gurgling again. I reiterated my concern the snake wasn't enough, but he said he would come out again. Even after the second time he snaked it - same issue. His work didn't seem to make any difference.
I asked him for a refund and he never responded.
Update: I texted him again after this review and he finally got back to me. 3+ no show/no communications this week and he finally showed up the 4th time. The drain issue does now seem to be resolved, but still 3 stars due to communication issues.

We have been using Simpson Plumbing and they have been very good to us. When our hot water heater started leaking they came out and installed a tankless hot water heater, they also service it and do a yearly inspection of the house plumbing.
This spring we had to replace our main water line. They came out and got it done without a problem and we were up and running in no time. Cheri and Jessica in the billing department were also willing to explain the charges.

I can't say enough great things about Burfitt Plumbing! I had multiple plumbing issues that I had been putting off - nervous about what the cost would be. One of the issues was my water heater, not generating enough hot water anymore. My neighbor had the same issue around the same time, and his plumber replaced the whole water heater. Burfitt was able to just replace the bottom heating unit - saving me hundreds of dollars. The technician also took care of a leaky pipe that was attached to the garbage disposal and my broken bathroom drain plug. All this taken care of quickly, professionally and inexpensively and on a Saturday to boot! I wish I would have called sooner!
Thanks Burfitt Plumbing!!

I hired Matt Summerson to replace a broken toilet flange. I also asked him to check the flange of a second toilet, which he did. He gave me a fair estimate for one flange, plus an estimate if he had to replace them for both toilets. I was not at the home when he was checking the second toilet. He could have said both toilets needed new flanges, but instead, he was honest and said the second toilet flange did not need replacing. I appreciate his honesty!
He showed up on time for the estimate and also for the job. His bid was comparable to others I had gotten and was a fair price.
One thing that stands out about Summerson Plumbing is that Matt Summerson performs the work himself. I will hire Summerson Plumbing again in the future.

This was the second time i used Cornel's Plumbing. My new washer couldn't be hooked up to the water supply because my house has horrible PVC plumbing. The PVC pipe had become brittle and fused to the hot water valve. It was late in the afternoon when I called Cornel's, and they sent a plumber out the morning of the very next work day. Yay!!! Although he warned me the pipe could very likely break when he tried to remove it, it didn't, thank goodness. I was only charged his $150 trip fee. Double yay!!! Cornel's Plumbing will continue to be my preferred company in the future. I highly recommend them.

I called Trident out and a tech named kyris showed up, he was professional, courteous, and explained everything thoroughly. he gave me a bid showing me exactly what needed to be done and I was a little skeptical at first but I agreed to the price as it was much lower than the other to companies in Salem that gave me bids. Kyris finished up the work and I was blown at how good he did! I will now use Trident Plumbing from now on.. 5 stars for the above and beyond work he did at his price. thank you

We were beyond plesed with the service and work of Henco's plumber. We had them install a drinking wather reverse osmosis water filtering system under our Kitchen sink, and to also address an apparent leakage issue in the Master Bathroom's Thermostatic Shower System, which ended up needing removal, repiping and replacement. Henco's plumber, Alan, was fantastic, knowledgeable and able to handle and resolve all issues with knowledge, innovation and professionalism. Great work......

I've hired Sewer Rats 3 times - for work at 2 of my North-East Portland homes. Once they provided the most painless and inexpensive way to replace a busted Water Heater - that was flooding a basement . They bought one at their Company rate for me - and brought it right over to install - and returned with a dolly and truck later to haul off my old one, which I really appreciated.
I've also used Sewer Rat Patrick a few times for Residential Sink Clean-outs, the first time, after unsuccessfully trying to un-clog the drain myself for hours. It was a stoopid mistake to even try.
Just call Patrick right away - just plan a few bucks in your annual maintenance budget, and save your self the frustration and mess.
He suggested once how I might save some money by doing a few procedures myself - but frankly I'd rather hire him than run HOT water for an hour and fight with the dang mucky Snake.
Patrick's work also has received positive comments from others, after I referred him to friends for various drain emergencies. You'll get a written receipt, and patient, polite treatment - with a charming Jersey Boy accent - for the fast work. Thanx, Pat!
Charlie Papp (who did most of the marketing and created the Branding for the Company) died 2 years ago in June - but Patrick Biscoff is still doing fast and reliable work at a great rate.
Related work:
To repair or replace your Sewer line to help sell your old house: call Ted Reynolds. They:
have big trucks and back-hoes,
all the impressive equipment needed for the job,
work even in the rain,
leave a clean work-site, and
can do a Video scope first to help you understand and SEE what's needed.
They saved me money after a higher bid came in that would have also required a sidewalk replacement,
and even prevented damage to plants that were in the way by moving, then replacing them afterward. Way - Kool! Nice work Crew too.
Sierra Excavating can also do this work, at a comparable rate, and the (gorgeous) Owner formerly worked with Reynolds. They speak highly of one another, and Sierra was recommended by an experienced Broker.
For a good Plumber, hire Dean Pottle, if you can get him.
Sewer Rats' Owner Patrick B recommends Dean, (As Seen on Cable TV Dean's Scene) as do others I've spoken with for referrals. Dean is also a like-able guy, and really into good Micro-brews, too - so offer one when the job is done.

Joe came out to my house twice in two days. Once to do a rough-in for a shower remodel, and the second time was when I accidentally drilled a hole through the copper pipe of the rough-in while attempting to move it over just a bit, lol. I called him after 5pm soaking wet, out of breath, and totally panicked because the tile was going in the next morning. I was desperate and he could tell.
When Joe came over the first day to do the rough-in he was kind and polite and he answered all my questions. But more importantly for me was that his quote was less than any of the others I'd received. So when he came and finished the entire job in an hour, I was pleased and impressed.
Cut to the next evening and me soaking wet and panicking. When he answered and blurted out what I hoped was a coherent plea for help, he was confused and thought I was telling him that his welds had failed. That I was able to explain that it was something I did wrong and I needed his help to fix it. And then I proceeded to beg him to come that night. He completely understood the predicament that I was in and said that he would come as soon as he could. And he was at my house by 7:30, which is great considering commuter traffic. Not only did he fix the problem in 20 minutes, but he also drilled a proper hole and he charge me a reasonable rate considering it was an after hours emergency call.
This company is now my go to for all my plumbing needs, the pricing is fair, the service is great, and they're there when you need them! Thanks Joe!!!

This is a great , efficient, and fast service. I contacted Chris on Thursday with a backed up kitchen sink issue. He immediately scheduled an appointment for 8:00 the next morning. It turned out that we needed a new faucet and the line cleaned out. The tech, John, was fantastic. He was really knowledgeable, and patient with my 89 year old mother (her house).
Even though we weren't anticipating a new faucet, we're glad for the nice updated one.
I highly recommend this company. By the way, they were recommended to me by George Morlan water heaters in Tigard.

We use River City for a number of commercial properties we manage in and around Portland. River City has been professional, experienced, solution focused and communicative. They are also very cognizant of the building's tenants and will work around schedules as to not be disruptive. They have handled everything from basic plumbing, new installs, storm line jetting, jetting large clogs and scoping and mapping sewer lines. Overall, they are great to work with and highly recommend.

Knowledge is indeed a pathway to freedom. You know the adage - give a person a fish and feed them for a day, teach a person to fish . . . Okay, okay, enough with the pseudo-philosophical start to this review. In all honesty, here is the deal - Roto-Rooter . . . is . . . amazing.
We'd been having a sort of sluggish drain issue in our master bathroom for weeks. In an attempt to solve the problem, I had already had a plumber out - to no avail. Everything was customer-focused, from the moment I logged into their website, to the confirmation phone call from the dispatcher, to the friendly and incredibly kind technician.
Eric C., the Roto-Rooter technician, showed up at our house early. He waited patiently in his service vehicle while I hurried home from picking up our daughter from school and then politely told me what a goofball I was. No, he did no such thing. Instead, he walked me through the steps to rectify the problem on my own and taught me the measures to prevent the issue from recurring. He was thoughtful, courteous, and ever-patient with my ineptness around tools. Oh, and the pièce de résistance - he didn't charge me anything. Wow! Talk about genuinely customer-focused services.
I will never, ever go to another plumber again. I am entirely sold on Roto-Rooter and can't speak highly enough for Eric and the kindness he showed. Do yourself and your house a favor - call Roto-Rooter before you try any other plumbing group. You will not be sorry.

Did chose this company because. We need to replace a gas hot water heater.
1. They quoted us $6,000. We didn't bite...
2. Then they quoted us $4,000. We still didn't bite...and got rid of the employee.
We went with another company for $2,000. Through Home Depot.
Then Apollo bombarded us with emails acting as if we were going to hire them...
