Best Boiler Services in Pittsburgh PA
Very happy with Express Plumbing. Its such a relief to find a professional that I can actually trust. (especially when he was dealing with me and not my husband) I was ripped off by a big name plumber who didn't even finish the job. I called Express Plumbing and the same day Steve came out and fixed the mess the other guys left. He was quick and very reasonable. I have since had him come back to install a hot water tank, as well as a new furnace and AC unit. I highly recommend!

Had a tech visit for an annual furnace inspection in the late fall before ramping up usage for the winter. He was on time, friendly, cleaned/tightened a few things, and gave me some quick pointers on its operation (like what the flashing light sequences mean; it's a Tempstar unit).
Cost was $85 and the visit was 20-25 mins. Would hire them again.

I called Lakewood Mechanical after waking up to my furnace not working on a 30 degree morning. They had a repair person at my house within hours, diagnosed the problem and made the repair. Fast and friendly service!

They replaced a coil for us that was under warranty. Honest and helpful. Service call to check was $99.95 and labor to install our new part was $140/hr. They did great work in a reasonable timeframe. Only negative was that I had to call a few times after the service call to get updates on what the plan was and on the last call for a status, we were told the part was in and they'd be there in the morning. It might have been because they were swamped with work at the time, but you may need to stay on them a bit. I will say the service guy was friendly and did a great job. Actually felt like he left the area cleaner than he found it. A week after the repair and everything is working great. Definitely recommend them.

I called MX Mechanical to fix my HVAC - Zsolt was responsive and very quick. He made sure everything was done properly and made sure I was happy before he left. He keeps you inform and always shows up on time plus he is a nice guy.
I would recommend Zsolt and MX Mechancial to anyone...

Bought our home in 2013 and figured it's time to get things looked at. While the timeframe for an appointment was much longer than expected, the service from Brian today was great. He arrived early in the appointment window, showed respect to us and our home, and explained the dynamics of what was going on with our furnace and potential life expectancy and estimate to replace. There was no sales gimmicks or pressure, a simple quote with professionalism. Prices seem fair as well.

We found Sullivan Service on Angies List.
Wife and I just bought a house here in Pittsburgh that needed a lot of work.
We called Sullivan to give us an estimate on replacing the main stack in the house as it was leaking.
Some one came over the next day to give us an estimate and give us our options.
The estimate seemed fair and told them to go ahead.
Brandon and his crew came over and tore up the basement were the stack is and replaced it from the sewer line all the way to the first floor.
Then I decided to also have all the water lines in the entire basement replaced as most of the valves were corroded and did not shut off, Some were even leaking.
Brandon and his crew did amazing work and worked very clean.
We will be using them to replace our heating and cooling system as soon as our basement is repaired.
I highly recommend Sullivan for all your plumbing and heating and cooling needs.

DO NOT Work With This Company
They show up late to appointments without telling you when they will arrive. They call late in the day and then want to charge for showing up after dark when work can't be done. Hidden charges they request even when work has not been done. No professional behavior by plumbers or service office reps. Outrageous pricing!!

Every time that I call for an issue, they are quick to respond and help. The workers are friendly, won't take advantage of the situation and clean up completely. I can't imagine using any other plumbing service - I found them through a friend's word of mouth. Highly recommend!

Very easy scheduling and upfront pricing. Received a quote and booked the appointment through Yelp app. We will definitely use 5-Star Air again in the future. Thanks for the help with backflow testing!

Another plumber no showed on me and I took a chance after reading the yelp reviews. Exactly as advertised. Helpful and direct with fair prices.
My whole house is now reasonably warm and I did not have to take another day off of work.
We did not fix everything but I have a good idea of how to address my issues.
Thanks!

I called CALFO one day after I smelled a burning/metallic smell coming from some of my furnace vents. The temperature was going to be in the 20s for the next few days, so I needed to get whatever was wrong fixed ASAP.
They were able to come out the next day (a few hours later than I was anticipating) and check out the furnace. It turned out that the blower motor had died, and they quoted me about $900 to replace it. That seemed high to me, but I needed a fix and it seemed a bit too much of a pain to do it myself, so I just sucked it up and paid it.
The tech was nice, the blower motor was replaced in maybe an hour or so, and my furnace was back in action. However, I soon realized (as I suspected) that I had been price gouged pretty badly -- after some Google research, I found that a blower motor replacement tends to be around $450 up to maybe $600, so it seems I had been overcharged by quite a bit.
Ultimately they did good work, but it's probably worth it to shop around for better prices if you can.

This company was sent to us through insurance and they are terrible. First they told us we had to take down our retaining wall so they could start work said they were coming that week. They did not come for 2 weeks. During that time we received a citation from the city (not a big deal, but an annoyance). They hit the main water line and water was shut off to 19 homes from about 9-5 for 2 days. We did not have water until 7:30 the next day. They claim the main line was marked wrong and that is why they accidently hit it. The next day when I got home from work I asked the man who was working when water would be restored. He said about 1-2 hours. An hour later at about 4:30 the workers left without speaking to us and left us with no water. Find out from a neighbor that their water turned back on at about this time. Tried calling Sevacko and got their answering service, left a message, no call back. Finally, called PWSA and was informed that in no uncertain terms they should have turned our water on before leaving. Fortunately they (PWSA) sent a crew out and restored our water. They also left a mess of dirt. All this makes me wonder about the main line being marked wrong.
