I have never been more upset with a company in my life. I will be sharing my experience in every form possible to make sure that no one ever has to deal with the stress that I had to. They were contracted out from my insurance company to fix the trap under my porch. After the job was done, a chuck of my flower bed is still missing and has not been filled in. Also, my basement had mud wash through from where they were digging. Throughout the entire process, I was never called or updated on when employees would be at my house. I received no pictures or documentation of the job until I called and asked for it. Calling into the office was an adventure of which woman was going to be rude that day. I was transferred back and forth between them in the middle of talking.  THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. Then while examining my inside plumbing, they stated that my sewer pipes under my basement floor where all busted and cracked. I asked for an estimate and it was roughly $6,500.00. I stressed about how I was ever going to come up with that money. Tried to get numerous different loans, but thought I should have a second opinion just in case as Sevacko would not give me the camera footage. Not only did, I get a second opinion, I got a third as well that stated that there is NOT ONE crack in my pipe that needed repaired. I would have blindly trusted Sevacko and been in debt for something that didn't even need done. I feel bad for the older man who I assume is the owner because he is the only person that spoke to my wife with respect and gave an explanation for the outside job before it began. My insurance stated that they can not complete the rest of the external until the internal is done, so I will be contacting them next to explain a job that didn't need completed. Do NOT use this company!

I was given a 2 hour window to obtain an estimate for services. After waiting at the site I called the office to see when the owner would arrive to learn they had to reschedule. We rescheduled for a 1 hour window later on that day with the mutual understanding that it was an extreme inconvenience for me to get to the house that needed an estimate as it was very far out of my way for both appointments. I was very explicit. Again, after waiting I called the office to see when the owner would arrive to learn that they again would not be showing up at all today and needed to reschedule. While I understand things happen and plans change, I at the very least expected a notification before I went out of my way, again. Furthermore, the Office Manager wouldn't even apologize and chalked it up to business as usual and refused to take any ownership. All around awful business practices. I probably dodged a bullet in all honesty if this was how I was treated in the short time I attempted to give them business. I called a local competitor who scheduled an appointment without any range of hours immediately after.

Response to business:
Check the date on the receipt pic.
Work was done on 12/7. No one lived in the home until 1/26, the day I moved in and the toilet was leaking like a waterfall. Again, my plumber said the installation was faulty. 12/7 to 1/26 180days? Not by my math.
The woman on the phone told me it was a 30day warranty, anyway, so which is it?
Again, if you are not going to stand by your work, you have zero respect from me, as a small business too.
Good luck sir.

My water heater suddenly quit producing hot water after almost six years since moving into my house.  I tried to re-start it by looking at the instructions on the unit, but never having done it before, I could not get it going.  Since I have a service warranty I called that company, who contacted Sevacko.  Their office called me within a hour.  I gave them information off the unit & was told they could not get parts for it & would be there the next day.  And at about 8:00am, they were here as promised.  Two guys came in a large truck, so I imagine they were prepared to replace the water heater if necessary - but it wasn't.  They were able to get it started & were gone in 15 minutes.  Hopefully I learned by watching them.  They could have installed the new unit & the warranty company would not have known anything, but they were honest & as a homeowner or business owner, that's as important as anything else.

I discovered a sewage backup in the basement and garage late this morning. I called our line protection company who said I would receive a call from a qualified plumber today or the next. No more than 5 minutes passed before I received a call from Corey at Sevacko. He was at my house within 15 minutes and snaked everything right away. I can't comment on the price since it was covered by a third party but I can comment on the extremely courteous and quick service!

CONSIDERING R D SEVACKO PLUMBING: CONSIDER THIS  DISASTER

The crocuses are trying to come up in my yard amid the piles of dirt and rocks that they left after the job was supposedly finished.
The walk way has a huge pile of dirt and debris blocking it and then there is the pile of bricks that collapsed in the trench when they dug it.
The concrete pad at the bottom of the steps is undermined, so given time & weather it will collapse maybe taking the steps to the house with it. None of the trenches were backfilled and properly tamped. There are other sinkholes around the property to attest to that.
The driveway was left full of mud and dirt and when it snowed or rained they become treacherous. We spent 5 hours cleaning up this condition along with the Rec. room the workers left open when working in the utility room.
There is an electrical ground rod missing and we found the wire cut and stuffed in the trench when we tried to plant a little for Spring. I had to call Duquesne Light to make sure there was no chance of electrocution. It is required by code.
Sevacko called and wanted paid three days before the job was finished; I told the secretary, It doesn't work like that.
They never told us they were starting the water line replacement & cut the water off  before checking so people had time to shower.
We were without water for 3 days and I called the CO. to tell them I wanted H2O for the weekend and the secretary said I couldn't demand that. I asked if she had water in her house the last three days.
Sounds like a lot of complaints: I lent the workers tools, a latter, work lights, bought pizza for lunch & made coffee.
I worked on construction to get through college. I know how to backfill a trench and hang pipes properly. (Did I mention they put a 7' length of copper pipe unsupported so it may break?) I'm proud of my ability & education & the house which is 111 years old.
They were supposed to come today and rectify the missing copper ground rod and support the copper inlet pipe to the water system. Guess what? They didn't show or call.
Why did I choose them in the first place? I didn't. The insurance company chose them.

I used them to replace my plumbing in the bathroom and basement. They left big holes in the bathroom wall and said they don't do repairs. I then contacted them to install a new vanity in the bathroom and they wanted to charge me $560 and that was with the old vanity already removed.  Highway robbery. I'll never use them again.

Great service and polite. Had my hot water tank in within an hour and I asked them to come through my garage and not wake my son up and they did what was asked.

Don't trust D.R. Sevacko Plumbing. The Owner will tell you whatever you want to hear, but when the workers show up, they're like bulls in the China shop. The very last thing on the workers minds are you and your property.

A few days prior, my wife and I met the Owner to review the new gas service project. We discussed how the project will be conducted and in particular, how to protect a valuable shrub that had sentimental value. I offered to move the shrub prior the project, but he said that's not necessary, the guys will work around it.
The day of work, I reminded the workers about the shrub and stayed around to help if needed. After an hour or so, I left the work area and returned in about 10 minutes. Within that 10-minute window, they quickly moved the backhoe from the curb across the lawn to the house, and pulled the shrub out of the ground and dump it on top of the flower bead. No warning and they did not ask for permission. I actually think they waited till I left the area to pull the shrub. It's easier for them.

Well, the shrub had no chance surviving. No root ball and the roots that were still attached to the plant, were exposed to the air. Simply no dirt was left. I complained. I was told, We're plumbers and not landscapers. Yep, that's what they said.

I called D.R. Sevacko Plumbing the next work day to complain. The blocker asked me why I wanted to talk to him, so I told her the story. She put me on hold and returned in a few minutes saying, the Owner (Dave) is not available. (I'm sure he was sitting right there.)

I never received the call-back I asked for.

Final thought. This was an insurance paid project. I bet they charged the insurance company a landscaping fee too.

That was my experience and are my opinions.

The woman who claims to be the manager was so rude today. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere! They clearly have their wires crossed and can't communicate clearly between technicians and the people in the office... get it together!

($$$$).  Charged me $265.00 for snaking my sewer.  They had a snake that was and did not fit in my drain they tried to talk me into cutting my cast iron to put another clean out in but the cast iron pipe already had a clean out that they refuse to use they never got the clog I'm done I hired another plumber he had a smaller snake took him less than 5 minutes to fix the problem

We love Sevacko Plumbing!  From the customer service rep to the servicemen, they are all friendly, nice, professional, respectful, gives updates on what they are doing and what to expect. They also clean up everything after the project is finished. We have HomeServe and it is a very good plan to have.  That is how we found Sevacko Plumbing and I request them every time.

This company was sent to us through insurance and they are terrible.  First they told us we had to take down our retaining wall so they could start work said they were coming that week.  They did not come for 2 weeks.  During that time we received a citation from the city (not a big deal, but an annoyance).  They hit the main water line and water was shut off to 19 homes from about 9-5 for 2 days.  We did not have water until 7:30 the next day.  They claim the main line was marked wrong and that is why they accidently hit it.  The next day when I got home from work I asked the man who was working when water would be restored.  He said about 1-2 hours.  An hour later at about 4:30 the workers left without speaking to us and left us with no water.  Find out from a neighbor that their water turned back on at about this time.  Tried calling Sevacko and got their answering service, left a message, no call back.  Finally, called PWSA and was informed that in no uncertain terms they should have turned our water on before leaving.  Fortunately they (PWSA) sent a crew out and restored our water.  They also left a mess of dirt.  All this makes me wonder about the main line being marked wrong.

We used this service through our HomeServe insurance plan. We were told the workers would come between 9am and 1pm. They called at around 10am and said they were 1/2 hour out. They showed up 30 mins later. They were very professional and very informative. Also very friendly. They fixed our clog that we had in our sewer line in our garage within minutes and then informed us it was all taken care of!  It's never pleasurable to need plumbing services, but this was a great experience and not sure how anyone could rate these guys lower than 4 stars. I'd recommend for sure!

I called Sevacko first thing on a Monday morning to come look at our leaky toilet since there was some water damage showing in the kitchen.

They were at my door within 20 minutes. Both gentleman were kind and professional. They put on bootie covers and went straight to work. Thankfully it was a simple fix for the toilet and they were done in about 30 minutes.

I was sent an invoice in the mail. I would definitely use them again and recommend them!

My elderly mother had a water heater installed on Friday I went over Sunday to see the pipe leaking all over the carpet which was already wet from it leaking for the last week until I found someone who could fix it it looks like they installed a brand new water heater! I had to call a friend to tell me how to turn it off until they could come out Monday morning and fix it (someone finally returned my call after leaving three messages) The gentleman called me Monday morning from my moms house as I was at work and told me it was not leaking. OK so maybe it fixed itself the neighbor went over tonight to find it leaking again! The bucket was overflowing onto the already wet carpet. My mother told me that the gentleman told her he could not do anything about it tonight because he was already home. I had to call my mom's next-door neighbor and walk her through how to turn it off. The gentleman now told my mother that she needs another $275 part to fix it, she is 85 years old and does not  know what to do. GREAT SERVICE!!! DO NOT Recommend this company at all!!!!

Had a late night clogged main drain in the house, and DR Sevacko was dispatched by the Home Serve warranty I have through my utility company. Early the next morning, two fellows showed up, and they did a great job with both clearing the clog, and running water to make sure all was draining efficiently. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.
Very professional and friendly...literally couldn't  have done a better job. Thank you for helping clear up my plumbing issue!

Technician came out for 5 minutes misdiagnosed the problem and throw away my $50 air vents that he says were bad.  Sent me a $125 Bill.
I proceeded to buy 2 new vents that were supposed to fix the problem but the same issue came up again.  Called several times to reschedule a follow up appointment.  Was told numerous times that someone would call me back to reschedule no one ever did.  Finally after weeks a technician came out properly diagnosed the problem and scheduled a power jet snaking on my main pipe.   At that time I was assured that this would be a $300 process and proceeding with scheduling.  After the tech came out and did the snaking I got a $650 bill because they say it took longer than originally planned.  The tech didn't say a word and just acted like everything went as planned.  I called to complain and couldn't get a anyone to call me back.  They agreed to drop the original $125 service call bill but refused to do anything about the $650 bill that was more than double what I was estimated nor would they take off $50 for misdiagnosing the original problem and throwing away 2 perfectly good air vents.  Unfortunately they did exactly what you heard about in the plumbing industry.  Would never recommend this company and it's very clear they don't care about be transparent about there billing or customer service after the fact.

CAREFULL of this company!!!!!!!They came out to to put an extension tank on my hot water tank.  Was told it would cost $185, tech tried to claim that the water pressure in the house was at a critical stage of 140 and the part need to fix my issue was an additional $319 dollars.  His voice was very shaky as he was telling me this, so I told him to show me.  We go down to basement and he has pressure gage attached to bottom of hot water tank (haha)were hose would attach.  NOW WHAT DO YOU KNOW, IT IS FINE HE SAY'S.  Told them at that point to leave.  I called next day to speak to a supervisor, and someone name Terry was rude.  I have had the pressure checked by two different people and there is NO issue.  The extension tank has been replaced.  IF, AND I REPEAT IF THEY TELL YOU SOMETHING NEEDS DONE MAKE THEM SHOW YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were set up for a repair with D.R. Sevacko through the line protection service company we have.  We had a broken gas line.  When D.R. Sevacko learned of our trouble we were having getting someone out to make the repair, of our medical condition and that we had no gas since Friday (it was Monday), they worked hard to complete the repair that day.  They faxed the proper papers over to the gas company ASAP.  I was able to get our gas turned on that evening.  The job was done well.  It was done fast.  They put all of the dirt back and even put down some grass seed for us.  They took care of everything for us.  They were kind, respectful, quick and knowledgeable.  We didn't have to worry about a thing as far as the repair.  (The line protection service company and gas company are a different story.)

I would recommend them to any friend, relative or neighbor I know.

We were extremely appreciative of the quickness they did the job as well as the help to make sure our gas was turned back on that evening.
