Don't trust D.R. Sevacko Plumbing. The Owner will tell you whatever you want to hear, but when the workers show up, they're like bulls in the China shop. The very last thing on the workers minds are you and your property.
A few days prior, my wife and I met the Owner to review the new gas service project. We discussed how the project will be conducted and in particular, how to protect a valuable shrub that had sentimental value. I offered to move the shrub prior the project, but he said that's not necessary, the guys will work around it.
The day of work, I reminded the workers about the shrub and stayed around to help if needed. After an hour or so, I left the work area and returned in about 10 minutes. Within that 10-minute window, they quickly moved the backhoe from the curb across the lawn to the house, and pulled the shrub out of the ground and dump it on top of the flower bead. No warning and they did not ask for permission. I actually think they waited till I left the area to pull the shrub. It's easier for them.
Well, the shrub had no chance surviving. No root ball and the roots that were still attached to the plant, were exposed to the air. Simply no dirt was left. I complained. I was told, We're plumbers and not landscapers. Yep, that's what they said.
I called D.R. Sevacko Plumbing the next work day to complain. The blocker asked me why I wanted to talk to him, so I told her the story. She put me on hold and returned in a few minutes saying, the Owner (Dave) is not available. (I'm sure he was sitting right there.)
I never received the call-back I asked for.
Final thought. This was an insurance paid project. I bet they charged the insurance company a landscaping fee too.
That was my experience and are my opinions.
