I recommend avoiding this outfit. They extremely overcharge for their service. They don't install the make and model that they said they would install during the estimate. they don't install things properly. They did clean up after themselves and arrived on time which is the only good thing I can say.

Called for furnace service Friday and went the entire weekend without heat so I could get the better service rate. When they came on Tuesday they replaced a single part R8184 G 4009, which retails for about $100. Easy access, quick replacement. Half hour of work including the troubleshooting. The valves happened to be closed and the gf who was at home didn't know, so he did have to come back (called him back within 10 mins).  Total time from first arrival to second departure, 57 mins.  Their business model is to knock off the $69 diagnostic fee if repairs are done. The tech said his computer was down so I'd have to call office for invoice. It had a single line with a generic description Replaced oil burner primary control. They were unable to sufficiently explain to me how they got to their final fee of $507 other than we charge a flat rate. I'll let you decide whether this was a fair price.

Furnace/AC installation 2010.  Very courteous staff, answering service prompt reply.  Their gold star membership worth every penny.  bi annual check up of a/c, furnace, head of the line for emergency calls.  Technicians professional, fair pricing.

I felt strong armed into paying for the work they did, they never asked me specifically if I wanted to pay $1500 for a motor which I saw online for $1000. They just put it in and told me I had to pay, when I called the service manager to complain they took a message and I never heard back. The technician stayed in my house for 30 minutes, and I feel like I paid $500 for that half an hour. They fixed the furnace and all, I just felt like I got ripped off in the end.

I never write reviews but had to find the way to do it. I would not recommend this company.  They well overcharged for a furnace blower and the time spent and they REFUSED to have an itemized list of where the money went. so the fee for coming out i have no idea if it was waived.  Then they had to come back out 12 HOURS LATER because the vent was clogged and they should have checked in the first place.  I don't mind being charged for the work but for $130 for a 10 minute task I can only assume is the cost for at least the hour to drive out as well which would not have been there if they finished the work in the first place.

Stay AWAY from these guys!  I had a pipe burst on Friday with the intense cold, and as a result, water all over the place - had to turn off the water main.  My insurance agency recommended Restano and when I called they were closed/busy and I got sent to their answering service (on a Friday afternoon).  I must have called at least 4-5 times and while the answering service was extremely nice and assured me that a technician would contact me soon, nobody ever called back.  In my last message, I basically said that all I wanted to know was if I could expect someone to contact me before the end of the day and if they were too busy, to just let me know so that I could contact some other company.  NO RESPONSE.  Finally, 5 hours after my original call I gave up and contacted another company that I Googled up.  They responded right away, sent someone home and my pipes were fixed and I had water back in a couple of hours.  Meanwhile, it's now Sunday night and I STILL haven't heard back from Restano.  If I could give them zero stars I would...

Prices are outrageous. 750 dollars for less then a hour of work. They have you by the balls when it's mid July and your AC goes out. Capacitor retails $25-$35, was charged $395. Proper mark up is 20% I'll give you $150 in labor so let's say $245 for a $35 part. 700% mark up seems excessive. The more I write it out the madder I get. Don't worry they did the same for a contactor too. So I paid Aprox %1400 for parts with a generous $150 a hour labor per item even though it took less then a hour.

We had a furnace installed three weeks ago with a promise of a rebate of 150.00 (which was applied) and a promise of a Duquesne Light rebate. The men that installed the furnace were great and professional. The problem is with the office staff. I have to date had to call four times to request my rebate form. The installers were to bring it the day of installation and Crystal did not give it to them, she said she forgot to give it them. Three phone calls later she still has not sent it. She lied and told me it was mailed. I live in same area of this company abs should have had it in two days. Still no rebate form.  This was the reason we choose Restano. We had other offers but the rebates made it the best offer. Well not really, because they do not come through on their promises. Regret going with them. Do not believe what they promise

Bought our home in 2013 and figured it's time to get things looked at. While the timeframe for an appointment was much longer than expected, the service from Brian today was great. He arrived early in the appointment window, showed respect to us and our home, and explained the dynamics of what was going on with our furnace and potential life expectancy and estimate to replace. There was no sales gimmicks or pressure, a simple quote with professionalism. Prices seem fair as well.

$69 free for an estimate that they don't tell you about upfront. Go to one of the other 1000 plumbers in the Pittsburgh area.

We had our HVAC installed by Restano in 2008; all new ducts and appliances. Restano has serviced the system since then.  When we've had an issue with the system, Restano was thorough in making sure we got the most out of our warranty, and then some.  The company does regular servicing for an annual fee that is reasonable.  As with any contractor, you need to ask questions about the work.  But, overall, the workers and the work have been great.

I had my furnace installed last july. The installation was a  nightmare. The young tech installed the switch upside down, left loose screws laying on ground underneath furnace (he apparently gave up on trying to screw them in), filter compartment was set up so ridiculously that you couldn't help from pulling/hitting the wires, my painted basement floor was all scratched up, he left leftover wire/dirt on the floor. When he told me he was finished, I walked over to the furnace to see if he would tell me anything about the furnace. He said nothing. I asked him where the switch was and to show me how to get the filter out since it was clearly impossible to do so. He didn't seem to be interested in installing this furnace properly. I'm only giving it 3 stars because when I called to have these things redone, the tech was very nice and apologized and chalked it up to 'young kids these days.' Also, this furnace doesn't sound quiet to me. If I have any future problems with this furnace, man am I going to be upset.
