Best A/C Repair in Philadelphia PA

I had JB Plumbing come out a few months ago to check on a leak from my bathtub. Instead of fixing it, they told me it was 100% a brick pointing problem and had nothing to do with my bathtub. I paid $75 for that. Then I paid for a brick pointer to come out, who told me it was 100% not a brick pointing problem. Finally, a good friend came over and told me it was OBVIOUSLY a problem with the bathtub. I reached out to JB Plumbing again. They messaged me back on Saturday and said they had availability on Monday, and that I would have to contact on a work day when they're open (the following Sunday) to schedule. On Sunday, I sent several messages in the morning AND called twice. No response. Sent several messages again, and no response. I called five times in the afternoon and left two voicemails, and they didn't answer. Finally, hours later, they sent me a message asking if I was free before 11am. They sent this at 5pm on a Sunday. I didn't check Yelp all afternoon, and then they said Nevermind, we are booked. Why didn't they call me? Only using Yelp is unprofessional and not helpful to clients. They also messaged me that I should make sure it's not tile work. To me, it seems like JB Plumbing doesn't want to come back and fix their mistake. Would have appreciated an actual phone call instead of random messages spreading out over a weekend.

UPDATE: JB Plumbing messaged me and told me they are calling their attorney over my bad review. Apparently you can't even speak your mind and opinion without JB Plumbing threatening you.

UPDATE 2: JB Plumbing responded to this review saying they squeezed me in for an emergency. I'm shocked at how willing they are to lie.

After getting the run around from multiple plumbers and getting ridiculous quotes from others I contacted Economy Drain Cleaning and Plumbing. They were highly professional and gave honest advice. The owner asked about the issue prior to giving me quotes unlike the other companies and the quote was extremely reasonable. They came out and completed the job quickly and properly. I will not be using any other companies for my needs moving forward. Thank you to Travas and his team.

Agree with all the great reviews of Brandon here. He's very responsive and easy to coordinate with via texts and calls. Both times he came for an appointment, he texted updates on his ETA and was always on time or even early. He replaced an old toilet really quickly and we've been really happy with it since. Will definitely be calling him back for more plumbing work and general house jobs.

Boss. Boss. Look no further. I want to echo a lot of what previous reviews were saying, but also wanted to detail my experience more in depth so you can gain a better understanding of how Boss Plumbing operates.

I will keep this as short as I can. Boss came out to install a double vanity. Not feeling satisfied by the slow drain they advocated identifying the clog by utilizing our warranty from another company. Where most plumbers would have left for the day, Warren wasn't comfortable unless the job was done right. The other company identified a corroded drain and were skeptical about replacing it.

So, I called Boss.

Without hesitation, Warren said he could handle it. This was a huge project. It required a gut. Now, these Roxborough homes require a lot of TLC and the existing concrete infrastructure made things a serious labor. No issue for Boss. They demoed the room and got to work right away.

Warren is an exceptional communicator and laid out expectations immediately. He gave fair pricing and also performed other laborious plumbing endeavors in my home free of charge, i.e., replacing a 60s era wall hung toilet which required specialty parts that were hard to come by. Additionally, he improved my water shut off valve by installing an easy to use mechanism.

In the interest of keeping things short, I want you to understand how important these things are to me and my family and I'm sure you want this same level of care. Warren is always looking out for your best interests. Really, it exists.

Warren checked in daily, made sure we were happy with progress and kept an open line of communication. His crew is professional, personable and easy to work with.

I can't say more about this company. I will be calling Boss for every plumbing/heating/remodel issue I may encounter. Stand up guys. Exceptional work. And an approach to business that is almost too good to be true. Warren almost feels like family at this point.

They are not thorough...they do not have appropriate equipment to do a proper job...added the cost of toilet seat removal which ended up being more than the cost of having them come out for the drain clean.
Added to all this, they did a shoddy job...I will NOT recommend them!

Had a leaking shower faucet, and other plumbers we contacted didn't seem to prioritize our call. John, however, responded quickly and scheduled us quickly. He was also on time to repair the issue for a reasonable price, and walked us through the issues. Highly recommend.

Our sink overflowed on Saturday night. I got a quick response and service provided the next day. He was very accommodating with the time, punctual and professional. He explained was caused the issue and gave us some tips to prevent the issue from reoccurring. Would definitely recommend.

Rick answered my yelp message in about 10 minutes.  I called around 9am and he was at my house to fix the problem around noon.  Would definitely recommend for impeccable service.

One of the best Master Plumbers in the area. Always great work and affordable. He has done work on our inside plumbing and outside plumbing needs. I've used Miller Plumbing for several years now and I wouldn't think of using anyone else!

The guys followed all COVID 19 protocols and did a Great Job clearing a main drain clog!

After Roto Rooter came out and quoted me $7,500 dollars for a whole new main since mine was broken and couldn't be snaked, I went with a second opinion and called Bommer. Their receptionist and plumber were seriously awesome and had my problem fixed in 30 mins...for $300. We will never go with anyone else after the crooks we encountered, that you tech Jim Murphy!

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!

He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. If prefer to work with someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, go with Chris!

These guys take advantage of women. He wanted 3200$ for a job that didn't even have to be done. I thought this was an outrageous amount of money but didn't show my displeasure at the time. I then got on the phone and called another plumber, who came out and fixed the problem in 30 minutes for 125$. They wanted to rip up my whole sidewalk and replace a pipe that was broken. They spent 5 minutes assessing the situation and claimed it was going to be super expensive. Either they a). they are scammers or b). the contractor was just outright stupid and shouldn't even be a plumber in the first place

Called yesterday and got everything I needed to get fixed in less than 24 hrs. Service professional, Joe McPhilemy was prompt and kind. He was very transparent and willing to answer all questions. He gave me a call when he was running late and I received all notifications about the appt via email and text. Overall service was amazing and quick. Thank you so much, Joe!

Had such a great experience with Kevin and Vinko Plumbing. Had a leak in the line that supplies water to my fridge, causing flooding and obvious anxiety! I called Kevin and he was very quick to respond. Even offering same day appointment. I have had nightmare experiences with plumbers in the past, so Vinko was a breath of fresh air. He showed up in time and fixed the problem with ease. He explained everything to me and helped me understand how to avoid this from happening in the future. I absolutely recommend and will be using again!

Nic came out promptly to replace my shower diverters and some eroded pipes in the back. He was quick, professional and explained everything he did. I'll be using him for all my future plumbing/HVAC needs, and the best part is, he is a local small business owner.

I reached out to Yelp on Sunday.. Mark got in contact immediately. He come out the next day on time , and got the job done in an hour. Very professional and reliable, will definitely use him and he's highly recommended!

They do not do their job properly. Not attentive, unprofessional, rude. Charged twice for the same issue, taking advantage of the people who has no clue about plumbing.

We have had a number of issues with our plumbing over the past few years.  It's an older home and these things are bound to happen.  For the past few years, when there has been a need, we have called on Best Choice.  They have always come promptly, arrive when they say they're going to arrive, and do the job right the first time.  

I want to give a shout out to Jimmy who came yesterday for an issue.  He figured out what needed to be done and did the work quickly and effectively.   Because of certain health issues in our household, he wore a mask which was greatly appreciated.  

We will continue to use Best Choice for our plumbing needs.
