Best Water Heater Installation in Oakland CA

I've used Kenneth Asire Plumbing eight times, six with Justin, two with Vlad  --old  water heater repair, new water heater installation, clearing drains and two toilet fixes,
Wonderful experiences. This company  actually has answered all  my phone calls or has phoned me right back. The person answering the phone has great communication skills and is professional and nice. Plumbers Justin and Vlad are both terrific, prompt, and professional. I really like that the company texts with updates.

Main line backed up due to roots. Came out to sewage all over the front yard. Made the call to ABs and he was here in under 30 min and had the clog resolved under an hour.
Super friendly and well prepared truck. I will definitely keep his number saved for the future

Very happy with the service provided. We had to fix errors in plumbing created by Acquatek of Hayward and Art of Construction (should be called Art of Conniving), and Ben came and took care of the problem.

Like S. d., they've done good work for me in the past, but it was steep. Better the devil you know, so I went with them when I had a cracked sewer lateral.

$800 later i have some footage of the pipe and an I had to ask them to resend the estimate (only the bill arrived the first time). The proposal involved re-routing half my lines cost 6.5K, which doesn't include permits and I would have to do the crawl space excavation (not insubstantial) myself.

After some research I found a trenchless solution (cured in place pipe) for a small fraction to repair only the 4' section of damaged cast iron pipe (the rest looked healthy).

To sum up: good work if money is no object. Down side, expensive and not much interest in finding the best value solution.

Recent PG&E power outage in our neighborhood fried the electronics (and a fan) on our Takagi tankless water heater.  After calling the manufacturer and doing some initial troubleshooting, we determined two major parts needed replacing.  Our original plumber who did the install was unavailable, and Albert Nahman was listed on the Takagi's website.  There was some initial mis-communication on their first visit (whether or not they already had the parts), but after that, the repair went smoothly after I had to order the parts myself.  It took 4 days to get the first appointment,  then 3 more days for the second appointment (when the parts were in hand).  Thanks to Chris, Jose, and Lisa at Albert Nahman.  Now, to file a claim against PG&E.

Mark came out within 15 mintues of the call. He was very much on time.  Very nice and polite guy.  There was nothing wrong with my garbage disposal.  It took 5 minutes to fix and $95 to do it.

Two things: the person answering the phone was not very helpful. She doesn't quote but she also doesn't help answer any questions. (Note: any service call starts at $95 with the $25 yelp discount).

Second, although the price seems high, I've called others and they are even higher.

Woke up to an ice cold house this morning.  Found innovative Radiant Heating on Yelp and called them. Was fortunate to get a same day appointment. Ramnar arrived right within the anticipated time window, and proceeded to (1) test our radiant floor system (2) diagnose the problem (a broken pump from too much air in the system) (3) call the parts dealer (4) pick up the part (5) replace the broken pump and (6) show me what to do if the system starts gurgling too much and pressure drops.  All of this accomplished in 2 hours and 15 minutes!  
Ramnar was very professional and friendly, and we will definitely call them a gain for any future issues.

Gil was reliable and helper fixed the leak at home. He was cost effective and highly reliable.

Vince from Handyman Heroes showed up for an initial consultation. I explained that one of the issues was that my closet doors did not fit properly. He took a look around the closet, grabbed one of the doors, and started jostling it hard. So hard, in fact, that he ripped it (and the bottom hinge) out of the wall. That's when he noticed that the bottom hinge was ripped out of the wall, turned to me, and said that's part of your problem, right there (apparently ignorant of the the plaster and other debris from freshly ripping the hinge out of the wall). I was flabbergasted. What I didn't realize until later was that the closet was now resting on the exposed metal hinge, directly on my hardwood floor. Now I have several deep gouges in the floor. Oh, and the closet door is still broken (and going to be fixed by a different handyman service). Thanks Handyman Heroes.

Family run plumbing business (since 1970).  Honest, reliable, friendly, with excellent work at a reasonable price.  Among other things they fixed a leak in my upstairs bathtub drain which turned into a big job because they had to cut a whole in my kitchen ceiling on the first floor to get to the pipe.  Highly recommend!

Very professional, safety first and very easy to deal with! At last our long-standing shower problem its finally fixed.

We selected Savior Plumbing for our whole house repipe. I am so glad we did. The whole experience working with Savior was excellent. Eric provided the original estimate which was a little higher than the others. However, after hearing his detailed and clear explanation of the work involved, it was pretty clear this was the right company for us. I requested Eric take the lead on our job and he and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They all worked really efficiently and communicated well throughout. I especially appreciated the way the company was so accommodating and professional. We had to delay things a bit due to a family emergency. They were very understanding. Big jobs like this are always stressful, but they made it almost painless. I highly recommend Savior to anyone needing quality plumbing work.

Very professional, reliable, does the job right.  Would be my dream plumber, but the sound is so terrible on his cell phone that I'm giving up on trying to set up appointments with him.

So far great!  Although it's just estimated about the total cost today.  I can tell the good job will be done.

Me. Fixit is responsive, timely and efficient. He has helps us multiple times, with our garage vents, air conditioning, and other home projects.

Took care of a massively clogged sink quickly and effectively. The PGs arrived on short notice. Figured out the problem quickly and had all the tools and stuff at the ready to fix a pretty major issue. Super professional and friendly.

I had to use these guys because of my home warranty. First they never called me so I needed to re contact home warranty. Then they finally came. The guy who came to diagnose couldn't be eager enough to leave.

My shower temperature occasionally swings between scalding and freezing. This is a known issue in the building and is a very simple part swap according to the HOA. The plumber who came never even heard about the part, even when I showed him the part the HOA provided me.

Then after about 10 minutes he practically runs out the door and says home office will write up the report. I asked him if he could tell me anything, he said no and left.

They end up telling home warranty that the shower isn't broken and now I have to deal with that, and without a shower.

On top of all this they want $175 for the HOA required insurance documents. I've never heard of it being more than $50, and at $50 that's a stretch.

I don't know how these idiots have such great reviews but I was taken for a ride and now I need to go longer without a shower because of these guys. If I'm guessing, they probably get less money if it's a home warranty repair so they didn't want to even entertain me.

UPDATE:
Another plumber (not from Chosen Rooter) came a few days later and immediately diagnosed the problem and everything is now in motion.

I had to keep the appointment so home warranty would cover it. If me telling you that I've never heard of someone charging almost $200 for insurance info is insane is very rude then idk what to tell ya buddy. Both my HOA and the next plumber who came in confirmed that that's not a normal amount in any reality.
