it was the start of a blizzard and I had a utility appointment whereby the worker accidentally drilled into one my heating pipes. I called schaff plumbing, not really expecting an immediate response given the terrible weather. but Diane picked up my call and Jimmy came over to save the day to fix the hole and keep the heat running. thanks again!

Adam the tech/owner just left. Came to my house in under 2 hours on a SUNDAY to fix my central ac. Fixed in 20 minutes. Thank god it's 90 degrees. He Explained what happened. Will get my business again. Actually I asked him to do more work tomorrow. The guys great. Highly recommended. Nobody else called me back yet and the job is already finished. I contacted A Rooter Pros to do a camera inspection. Mr. Abe Pires was very pleasant. He inspected several parts of an aged sewer line. He even replaced two corroded drain caps. I paid promptly but when I asked for a copy of the inspection, Mr. Pires told me that he didn't save the recording. He said he was doing me a favor and would do a before and after video, but only if I agreed to pay $1800 for hydrojetting and descaling the line. The camera inspection was $346 including tax. In total, he wanted to charge me over $2000 plus tax to clean out my line and didn't have any video to explain the report. I thought it was expensive, which is why I asked for a copy of the camera inspection to show my family before I signed a contract. He told me I had to agree and then he would do it again. Not only did he not save the recording but he wanted me to agree to pay $1800 before he would redo it. Plus, the report of the inspection was three lines of text on the invoice. What is the point of a video inspection if not for images, or a video recording in the report? All in all, I'm out of almost $350

Contacted Alan to install a hanging pot rack from the ceiling. All had a few other jobs for him as well....  He arrived on time, came with the specific fittings that were needed to do the job and charged what he said it was going to cost. I'm a real estate person and I recommend him to my clients. He's a great guy too.

Absolute disaster! It took the person 8 hours to cap off the kitchen water lines & add an ice maker water line. Brought wrong size pipes, used worn out tools, didn't put up anything to mitigate dust to other rooms from the sawdust/ Sheetrock powder, etc. Added a new lower drain that didn't need to be done as told by the plumber that had to fix this disaster. Only reason to do what he did was if I needed a garbage disposal which I didn't. Cost me $600 for nothing! Demanded 200 extra dollars over the $2000 that Home Depot charged me. Told Home Depot that the   $200 was for a permit but I called the town & no such permit was taken.

Mike came by my home for a quote and was extremely honest, knowledgeable and friendly. He was on time and his quote was very reasonable. At the time I went with a local contractor, but I will be going back to Mike for additional jobs I have upcoming.

I greatly appreciated the help over the phone. He explained that it may be something simple and talked me through the steps. Unfortunately, it was slightly more, but this guy was amazing. A very pleasant experience. We had pipe damage to a cast iron steam radiator. Some plumbers wouldn't take the job. Others made a huge production of it. We had a few plumbers come in and quote really insane prices...We know we have to pay for professional services but sometimes your instinct tells you something is 'off'. I took a chance and noticed ESP had only all positive reviews. I spoke to someone booking the appointment immediately. I had a call back from John in like 15 minutes. We made an appointment for the evening and John arrived early.

John quickly determined the issue. He confirmed it was a simple issue to solve. He saw no need to purchase additional piping or valves. He didn't price gouge me or find additional items to pad the cost. In fact, it was the agreed upon price that was discussed over the phone initially.

Most important John knew how to solve the issue and was done in 20 minutes. And he seems genuinely interested in showing you what's the issue and not put off with you there watching. He also pointed out some work we can do into the future to prevent further issues

Brooks Plumbing or 'Adam' is calm, cool and collected. He's got a lot of friends. It's important to say that because when he doesn't know something, he's on the phone calling everyone he knows to figure it out. He's constantly researching things and improving his skill set. How do I know this? Adam's been our savior at my business for 3 years (A 50,000 sq foot television facility) where if it's not fixed now, we're in trouble with production costs and liabilities. I like to say he's more than a plumber because he was the general contractor at my house. He has a team of guys that he carefully selects and they do a wonderful job. He has every toy there is, including a giant dump truck and monster back hoe, so he's literally moved tons and tons of earth and cracked through solid mountain stone to build us a dry well for a spring that was bubbling under my house. He's like your personal Army Corps of Engineers. This is maximum plumber. As for the pricing comments in the reviews, it's fair to say that he's a ;whatever it takes to get it right' plumber, so he's not keen on giving estimates because he's not entirely sure what it will take at first glance. Some jobs that look simple turn out to be really complicated. Also, some people just aren't aware of the market prices for plumbers, good ones anyway, in the Newark Metropolitan Area. My business managers have reviewed his average pricing compared with other metropolitan plumbers and he comes in at about 78% in the range of pricing for certain typical jobs. But whatever he works on never breaks again, he guarantees his work, he manages the inspection process for you... he's worth it.

Bill's company was recommended to me by an old friend that lives Fairview. This job was to replace an old pipe (with a hole in it) in my Uncles house in North Bergen. The plumber that came, Freddy, was quick to access the problem and take action. He was done replacing an old section of black pipe in less than an hour. Very happy with the service and...the price!

Tom did a great job installing my new faucets and was able to answer questions about a new water filtration system and our air conditioning unit.  Loved that they showed up in a mask and on time. I usually don't write reviews, but i am very happy with the service. I had a blocked kitchen sink. I Called Roto rooter first, but they tried to get clog out and couldn't after one try. They said your pipes are probably filled that they will need to be most likely replaced, and gave me a number to another plumber. I was recommended by a friend to all American. I was a little worried since they said they would have to try to snake it to. I figured I would get the same answer as I did from roto rooter, but since they can do major work like changing the pipes behind the walls, I went ahead. Mike and Jose came and didn't give up until they found the clog. Mike explained everything they were doing and didnt give up until they found the problem. I wish i called them first. They even cleaned up after. Thanks again

Our toilet hasn't been flushing quickly and kept hearing water backing up from the sink and shower. Before things got any worse, my husband decided to call Roto-Rooter to at least come and look at our pipes. We had an idea that water wasnt getting to the main pipe. Customer service said they would have a technician come out within the hour. Right on time, Edwin (the tech) came. He worked on our pipes for at least 4-5 hours and explained everything he was doing and why it was happening. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Edwin also cleaned up where he was working so he didn't leave our basement smelling like sewer. He also gave us some cleaning solution to clean the pipes and shield it. Edwin really made this a great experience.

Beware of this company.  Broke my pipe than charged me 1200 for 45 minutes work.  I will never use or recommend them ever.

I had drain backup and had water in basement . They sent out two guys whose name currently Escape me quickly . Hey were polite, courteous and got to the root of the problem. Definitely would recommend again and the love the 30 day guarantee. Thanks .
