I called Paul D Plumber at 4 pm on a Thursday regarding my clogged sink and he had someone at my house at 7:30 a.m. the next day. Robert was professional, courteous and fixed the clogged sink, kitchen faucet and adjusted the ball cock in the toilets in 90 mins. I found the charge reasonable for the work done and the time it took to do it. I will be calling them again soon to replace a leaky bathroom faucet. I was pleased with the work and value.

I hired Magee & Sons Master Plumbing Contractors LLC for a job to install a meter and a run water line for my rental property on March 28, 2017. The job cost $2800, Mr. Calvin Magee required a $500 deposit to start the job. I reached out to Mr. Magee on several occasions to get an update for installing a meter and running a water line. I expressed my disappointment to Mr. Magee on May 11, 2017, because no progress had been made. Mr. Calvin Magee assured me the meter would be installed on May 15, 2017 by 12:00pm. I called Mr. Calvin Magee on May 18, 2017, but he did not answer. I spoke to Mr. Calvin Magee on May 19, 2017, he informed me the guy (subcontractor) will probably come next week, but it is not confirmed. I am displeased, because I was not aware a subcontractor was hired to do the work. This has been the worst experience dealing with a Master Plumbing Company with 30 years of service.
I filed a complaint via email with the State Plumbing Board of Louisiana. The investigator requested the original contract, cancelled check, and release letter I submitted to Sewerage & Water Board before doing an investigation. I received a called June 22, 2017 from the investigator informing me, Mr. Magee hired JLJ Construction (leads company) which he paid $16 to find a plumber to complete the job although, he submitted the water card (only licensed plumber can submit document to do plumbing work) to Sewerage & Water Board. The investigator requested $440 be returned to us, because it cost $60 to file the paperwork with Sewerage & Water Board. Mr. Clavin Magee refuses to return my call to resolve this issue.
By the way, I am located in New Orleans not San Fransisco.

So back on June 26, 2017 George's plumbing came out to check on a leak from my shower that was leaking into my closet. I was contacted prior to the service call and was told their best guy would be coming out to check on the situation. He was the most senior person they had and if he couldn't fix it, then it couldn't be fixed. He came out and looked for about 5 mins at the several knobs I have that control side jets, rain shower and handle sprayer and couldn't identify the name brand of my shower system. He didn't bother to see where the leak might be coming from or take off any of the handles to even look in the valves. He left and said he would write up a proposal to fix it. Turns out that proposal was to replace the whole system at a cost of $3000. Since then i have had several other plumbers come out to give quotes on replacing the whole system since that's what I was told needed to be done and I wanted to make sure $3000 was a fair quote. Then one plumber finally asked why are you replacing this? and he took a few minutes found the problem very quickly. He Identified the manufacture of the system as Legacy Brass, took out two valve stems to inspect and found that the leak was coming from a bad solder T in the wall.. Fixed that up real quick and literally saved my thousands of dollars. As for George's master plumber.. I understand companies want to make money, but by not doing his due diligence in even looking for the actual problem, he tarnishes the reputation of himself and his employer. I would not recommend George's plumbing
Sincerely
George Garnand

They are great if you are able to sit around and wait for a plumber all day. When I called them for a job recently, I was told they could send a plumber out the next day. I asked them for a general time frame so I would know when to be home. I was told after lunch. So I planned my entire day so that I could be home in the afternoon. I arrived home by 11:30, only to find they had called at 9:20 AM, while I was still out. When I returned their call, the person answering the phone reprimanded me for not being home when they tried to come by. I explained (twice!) that I had been told afternoon, so I took care of all my other business in the morning. She continued to have an attitude about it so I just said to cancel the job. There are plenty of other competent plumbers who are a little more reliable and not rude to their potential customers.
I gave them two stars instead of one because, when I used them once before, they did arrive in the time frame they told me and did a good job for a decent price. The plumbers do good work. I just don't have the time to wait around all day, just in case they decide to show up early...and I don't need to be lectured to when THEY didn't show up at the correct time.

They were absolutely wonderful! On Christmas Eve our pipes froze and busted. There were out to help with the situation in no time and fixed the problem. They are reliable and do stuff correctly. Highly recommend!

I used them to renovate a home damaged by Katrina. They cut corners, skipped steps and basically delivered an inferior product. I have been repairing their work ever since the construction was finished. They haven't been willing to help repair the work and have stopped answering my phone calls.

I called their number 16 times throughout the day attempting to reach someone.
The voicemail leaves a number for emergencies, but it wasn't what I considered an emergency so I obviously didn't want to call that number.
I left multiple voicemails and someone called me around noon the next day and I told him that I called so many times that I had given up and called someone else and the man said You called ME sixteen times? I said Yes? He said You must've called the office sixteen times, I'm not there all day so it wasn't me.
Really? Why even have an office where you have no one to answer calls? Either get an answering service to relay messages to you, get a receptionist, or get the calls to the phone you keep on you.
Actually at the very least, take a half hour at the end of each day and make a stop into the office to return calls.
How else are you expected to have any business at all?
No one wants to wait a day to hear back, they're just going to move on to another business.
I ended up calling Bill Schells Electric and they have a very nice receptionist who worked with me and set me up with an appointment in the same phone call.

My realtor called this company for an extremely minor repair to the bath tub faucet. The repair was a tiny plastic part that took 20 minutes to install. We received a bill that simply said $302. No idea of hourly rate, cost of plastic part or how it could have possibly come to $302. We asked for clarification and were told they charger $160 per hour. Even though the repair took 20 minutes, they apparently charged us for their travel to hour home? No idea as they refused to respond to our request for information.
