Best A/C Repair in Minneapolis MN
Our sink and tub were totally blocked. Called Mike Justen in the AM and he was here by 11:00 and had everything working properly again in no time at all. Timely response, honest capable and friendly person all at a fair price. Perfect.

Dan,
Thank you for visit today. We hadn't planned for our air to go out, it was just a fluke that our scheduled maintenance was for today. Our problem was diagnosed quickly and had the part delivered in short order. Dans friendly attitude made the whole process less stressful. Thank Goodness we are on their service plan. I would recommend their service to anyone.

I used Ouverson to install a new sewer line from my home to the main line per city codes and I was very impressed with Troy and his crew. They were meticulous. They dug a 6x6 hole in my yard and did the installation. When they were done, you could hardly tell. again, very impressed. I can't say enough good about their work.

Calling around for a plumber is never fun and usually means something broke and needs to be replaced, which means $$$$$. Pete at PJS Plumbing will be my first call next time and all the time. I called late Friday needing a hot water replacement and got an estimate from Pete which was considerably less than other places. He called around and got me a water heater for the price he said it would be and it was installed almost by the time I woke up on Tuesday. Its funny that I don't even feel like I spent money, but I saved money compared to the 'other guys' prices. I actually rounded off the price and gave Pete more money. I've already recommended him to a friend. Don't change your phone number, I will be calling to use your services again. But hopefully I wont need to :)

Received a competitive quote in a timely manner. Working with them was really easy and they definitely went above and beyond. Very respectful and cleaned up after themselves which was great! Definitely would recommend working with them.

Sometimes in life one finds oneself with a broken water pipe on a Sunday night, in the middle of a pandemic, mere hours before a house inspection that could make or break a sale. Surely, I thought, it would be impossible to find a plumber who would be willing to come on such short notice, who'd have the knowledge and experience to do the job, and who wouldn't charge an absolute fortune.
But as fate would have it, I found Steve @ Hibernian and my plumbing emergency actually turned out to be a positive experience. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and he had the expertise, equipment, and strength to get the job done well. What's more, he was pleasant, professional, and personable... and he was completely fair in his pricing (even with the circumstances).
I highly recommend Hibernian Plumbing.

Feeling dirty. I've used them in the past. Was happy and remembered their advice of preventive maintenance. Makes sense as it is something you do with cars, etc. Starting to get that occasional funky smell in the basement so I make the call.
I also come prepared with my my $50 off coupon and a 30% off coupon for a 2nd line service as a buck in my household goes a little further now then it has in the past.
So I get my bill (you never see a price list) and am told that I'm being given 50% off of the cost for the 2nd line so he isn't using any of my coupons as he is saving me money in the long run. Hmmmmm.
So I pay and he leaves and I sit there for a bit, getting kinda pissed so I call. I speak to a manager and he explains to me the same pricing the guy gave me but in the long run, I'm still feeling like I got bad deal because in the end, you don't really know the problem or if the pricing just happens to be for you and if you are getting charged for services you don't need.
So I ask, is it wrong that I want to see a menu of pricing for services?
The guy says things have been slow but as someone who is working a pt job looking for FT work, I consider that slow on my end too (at least the $ coming into my wallet).
So in the end, I still want to recommend Roto Rooter (who else is there?) but come on, show me some pricing. Hell, ya got yourselves a fancy website, FB page, blog, Google +, YouTube and a Twitter account. How about a simple page that tells me up front what you charge? You can put your legalese spin on that in case you need to charge more if the job is a mess.

We had reached out to a different well known plumbing service in the TC area that had someone out to look at our bathtub drain clog. They told us they would need to replace the drum trap and some pipes and wanted to charge us almost $1,000 to fix our clogged drain. They still charged us $90 just to come out and look at it without even attempting to snake the drain.
So! We reached out to this company instead and they sent Grant out to fix it. He was so persistent at fixing a really tough clog, it took him several hours but they still charged the same price and he got the job done for a mere fraction of the other company. I'm so thankful we called these guys and only wish we had reached out to them first!

I had a very bad experience. From a mistake causing water damage to my house, to missed local code that resulted in paying twice to get the job done, to tile chipped by the plumber on final trim installation. All of the above could be worked out and some were, but overall the owners approach was one of blame and focus on his bottom line rather than my outcome. I hate to leave a small business bad reviews, but as someone who relies heavily on reviews, I wanted the info out there.

We had a leaky utility room faucet that was fixed the same day that we called. We were very impressed with the level of professionalism that we received from the time that we called to when the gentleman left our house. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Totally disappointed!
Plumb Right came to my home 2-3 years ago and knocked my socks off with prompt, and friendly service when they installed the disposal under my kitchen sink. It was only natural I would look at the advertising sticker they prominently placed on the disposal, get their phone number, and call Plumb Right when it came time to freshen-up the look of my kitchen with a new sink.
Here is where the fairy tale ends. When I called to ask for an estimate on how much it would cost to remove the old sink & install a new one (it took 10+ rings for someone to answer), I was handed off to Dale who said they would charge a $59 service call to come to my house to look at the sink before they would give me an estimate. Silently I shook my head to make sure the cobwebs were clear and I asked him to give me a ballpark on the removal and installation of a new drop in sink (mind you, this isn't an under-mount or anything complicated). Dale again replied that he couldn't give me that number. I asked, this time a little more direct, while acknowledging it's not a firm quote/ bid, whether or not the cost of the removal of an old sink and the installation of a new sink would be in the tens, hundreds, or several hundreds of dollars range? I told Dale I just wanted this general idea before I made the decision to have them come out and charge me $59 to tell me how much their bid would be. His reply, Well, I guess we cannot help you then.
Clearly they operate on a business model that I don't understand. $59 to come out and tell me if they are going to soak me for $300 (who knows if this is an accurate guess? Not me-- thanks Dale!) to remove and install a drop-in kitchen sink?!
I will continue my search for a plumber that has entered the 21st century, and I encourage you to do so as well. Consumers deserve better. Meanwhile, does anyone know the best way to remove advertising stickers from sink disposals?

By far one of the best companies we have used. Friendly, professional, and quick. Emphasis on affordable! We won't even consider anyone else. They came out the same day we called and we're done in an hour. They explained everything and how it worked and gave us a ton of pointers. Very polite, professional, and thorough work.

When I called for service I was told they couldn't estimate what it would cost to check out my problem (flashing lights through out the house when the washer was running) and there would be a $79 service charge that could not be applied against any other work. I was surprised when the technician arrived with a detailed list of the charges for doing the inspection that started at about $500. I signed off on them doing the inspection for that amount and then they came back with a proposal that ran between $8K and $24K all of them addressing much more than the basic main problem which they said was possibly Dakota Electric's responsibility. They did call Dakota Electric and tell them about the issue, but were non-committal on whether they would follow through with the utility after Dakota Electric came out to look at the problem.
I should have shown them the door when they brought out the $500 inspection fee on a chart that they apparently couldn't share before they arrived. This company use sales tactics that leave a bad taste in my mouth. If I knew how expensive it was for them to even check out the problem I would have shopped around instead of relying on a friend's recommendation. If you are considering using their services, get them to at least send you their rate card that lists the prices. If they tell you over the phone that they don't have such a document they are lying. If they say they can't share it, hang up and call someone else.
That was in June. Six months later I had another electrician in for a second opinion. This electrician has done work for us before and is reliable and trusted. He said the current coming from Dakota Electric was a little hot (241 vs 220-230) but nothing to worry about. He said the lights flickering was also nothing to worry about. A sharp contrast to the dire circumstances that Service Today described. Our electrician said to replace the circuit breaker box was about $3,500, much less than the $8K Service today wanted.

Would not recommend this company to even my worst Enemy. They are nothing more than rip off artist. Had a technician (used VERY loosely) come out and explain that our a/c unit was going to need some major parts replaced at an exorbitant amount of money $3000 or in his opinion to just replace the whole system for a mere $1000 more. Happen to get a second opinion on the matter and low and behold for less than the cost of these con-artists to come out and describe all the things wrong with my a/c unit we are up and running cool and comfortable. I did contact Alex and then also spoke to Greg to allow them to make this right. They chose not to even attempt to make this right. I would RUN from this company there are so many more out there that are better and that are actually TRUSTWORTHY. They will belittle you, talk down to you and this basically explains how they do business.

Yeah, not a good company to do business with. Called to get some heating work done. Bad customer service. System stopped working immediately. Called back and didn't hear back for two weeks. Still haven't received a refund for the shoddy work.

Needed some plumbing work done on the shower and had no water in the entire house due to no shutoff valve. I called SNS in the morning and was told I would be contacted by someone. Three hours later I called back after not hearing from anyone and was told someone would call me in fifteen minutes. Two hours later I called for the third time and said I still had not heard back. I was told that it would be mentioned I had called three times and someone would get back to me. No one ever called to see if they could help. I had read good reviews on this company but did not have a good experience on my first attempt.

No complaint about the actual work. They unblock my drain using an auger. The plumber was nice and polite. The only thing was the price. They wanted $99 just to come and take a look at it and $310 for the job. That would of been $409 for basically of putting the auger down the drain for 15 feet. That part was about 10 minutes long. I complained about the price and they agree to waive the service fee which only made me suspicious. They would not give me a ball park estimate over the phone and insist on the plumber looking at it first. But when the plumber got here he basically gave me two options which they could of done over the phone. The plumber did not examine or do anything bc there's the standing water, it's backup. I originally thought that the service fee would be waived automatically if I agree to have the job done. Should of ask about that first. That part was my fault but my basement was overflowing, was in a tight spot, and unless you gone through it once you don't know what to ask!
I have never deal with other places so I don't know how much they charge but a google search says that the average price in MN for this type of job average about $200. That's my experience with this place. I would not recommend this to friend, family or anyone.
