Best Plumbing Inspection in Baltimore MD

Discovered Forster Plumbing through Bolton Hill site. During my 25 years in my 1850 Federal row house with a mix of old and modern plumbing, this company has provided the most prompt and excellent work at the best price. Jobs include repair to old tub fixtures for which they found an old freebee piece, saving the cost of a complete replacement, the replacement of an old gas line to my stove, and repair of a leaking iron pipe in the cellar.

These guys were responsive, knowledgeable, and affordable. Very pleased with their work and will definitely hire them again.

We called Dwyer for a proposal for some rough in's in our en-suite bathroom during a renovation and spoke to very friendly Sylvia the receptionist who was so kind and chatted with me about the neighborhood that we had recently moved to because she'd previously lived there!  She scheduled us within a week for an estimate.

Exactly at the scheduled time the owner himself (Donnie) came out and took the time to talk through what we were looking to accomplish, made recommendations and answered our questions, he provided a proposal quickly and his pricing was very reasonable.

Before we could book the services we unexpectedly had our baby early, so by the time that we called back it was a few weeks later, but Dwyer was quick to schedule us (one week out) and when the owner and his employees (Jason and Ryan) came out it was he reviewed the work to be done as if we'd discussed it just a day before and not a month prior (we were very impressed).  The owner had even researched the county codes related to moving a shower drain for us to clarify our options. The work was done quickly and Jason and Ryan were friendly and polite. We received an invoice in the mail the following week and paid it with Sylvia and there was no additional charge to use a credit card.

Highly recommend Dwyer and we'll definitely be using them again!

They arrived on a Sunday morning and were fast, reliable, and professional and got the job done right.

Covid complaint with masks upon entering and entire time on site.  Very friendly and knowledgeable plumbers.  I especially appreciate that there were 2 workers so they could divide the work between the 2 jobs.  Even though the job turned out to be simple fixes, I wasn't made to feel like I wasted their time!  I would recommend highly, and ask if at all possible to have Rick and Brad be the ones sent out for your job.

Mister Jeff just left. I found him on Yelp, and sent him a text asking if he could assemble two cube storage shelving units for me. He had immediate availability for this morning. He said that he could come between ten and twelve, and arrived at 11:05. He made a point to be cautious of the parking regulations in my neighborhood. Once he finally got started, it took him about an hour to do both pieces. He was very polite, personable, and informative. I appreciate that he left the spare parts easily accessible on top of the unit, and the boxes standing neatly in the corner. He didn't leave any trash around, and the boxes will be able to be used again as needed.

I would recommend him to anyone who doesn't mind having a very talkative handyman. I definitely plan to use his services again in the future.

Please be appreciative of your clients' time.

TL;DR -- 9AM to 2PM  - 5 hour appointment window and they couldn't even honor that.  They showed up at 3PM.  Prices are relatively high, get your local trusted handyman to do simpler jobs if possible.

I contacted this firm because of all of the stellar reviews, but as with other vendors I have had less luck than most I suppose, because I feel like they dropped the ball in a couple of places.

Firstly, a 9am to 2pm appointment window eats up the better part of a day.  Remember the good old days when the service industry just made appointments ?

Also they said they were going to email me a quote beforehand and they never did.

I wasn't staying at the house the evening before so I had to get up early on my day off when I could have slept in, and deal with rush hour traffic into the city just to be there in case they arrived at 9am.  Not only did they not arrive at 9am, I had to sit around all day at my house when I could have been out doing things, and THEN they called to say they would be an hour late from the END of their agreed upon appointment window, meaning they wouldn't be there until 3pm.  This is unacceptable.

I have decided that I will no longer do business with companies that engage in appointment windows. I will only deal with companies that make fixed-time appointments, and show up on time.  I understand some jobs take longer than others, but they already granted themselves a 5 hour window (the longest I've ever head of) and they couldn't even hack that.

Further, they wanted nearly a $1000 to cut an access panel to replace a washer in order stop a dripping faucet.  It did need an access panel but I got my handyman to do it all-told parts & labor for ~$400.  I'd suggest other's do the same...

I added a star because the gentlemen that came out were very courteous, competent, and professional (and they used shoe guards).  

I was impressed with them, but not the overall company.  Back to my local neighborhood plumber.

I found Aqua through recommendations on Facebook. They are very responsive and could come out right away. I though their price was fair.

My water heater went out , I called BST , they gave me a Very good estimate and job was perfectly done in less than 24 hours . They called a day after to follow up and also after followed up with me in a week. They have  my business for life as long as I live in md

This company is very professional and got the job done quickly & efficiently. They are not inside plumbers. They work on leaky pipes under the ground.  I highly recommend Service Force if you have a problem outside your house.

Abbotts plumbing is the best plumbing company in Baltimore area. Their staff is very professional and knows their trade inside and out. They leave the house cleaner than when they arrived. I feel comfortable leaving them access to the house when I am not home. For any residential Plumbing needs, Abbotts is the only company to call!

I have now used Jason twice to save me from clogged main sewer lines.  The first time my toilet stopped flushing.  You know that awful, pit in the stomach feeling you get when your plumbing stops working?  I was so worried about what it was going to cost me, how long it was going to take to get someone out to my house, whether they would show up or not after I had taken the day off from work to be there.  I got online and started my search.  After about 6 phone calls, all ranging from quotes of minimum of $300 to we have to come out first to see the problem before we can quote a price I got Jason on the phone.  First off, he answered the phone himself, that was the first biggie.  Second he quoted me $75 right off the bat.  No pre-inspection, no possible other charges tacked on.  Straight forward price for service.  We set up a date (it was within 2 days of my call) and then....he SHOWED UP when he said he would, did what he said he would do (my toilet flushes beautifully now) and charged exactly what he said he would charge....$75!!!  I've used his services again on a rental property.  Same thing, clogged sewer line.  Only this time Jason couldn't come out because he had another job...so he sent me someone else!!!  A great guy, professional, helpful, showed up when he said he would and charged me.....$75!!!!  I will continue to call Jason first and use the services of his company.  I am very grateful to have found him.

We had them come out due to a leak in our laundry sink. He diagnosed the issue and said to have it fixed it would cost $800+ to repair and replace faucet. I was able to purchase a faucet for $79 from Home Depot and reace it myself. Everyone I asked said the quite was crazy! I had a sanitary tub put in our lowered level and the entire price for that was approximately $500.  May be if you live in a nice area the price is adjusted accordingly?

I wouldn't give much consideration to the negative reviews- this company is the Baltimore's best plumbing company for a reason.  I've used them twice- their plumbers are clean, neat, highly trained and they stand behind their work!  If you're comparing their prices with some Craigslist plumber without a license and without the proper skills- yes, Mike's will seem more expensive.  If quality, reputation and professionalism matters- pay a few extra dollars and get the job done right.  I'd never use any other company.

Updated to add: when cold weather hit, and we switched from AC to heat, we found the system kept tripping the breaker. When another pro came out to see what was up, we were informed the indoor unit was hooked up to a circuit the could not handle the level of power pulled by the unit and showed my husband the sparks fly as the unit kicked on, noting it could have BURNED DOWN OUR HOUSE.  He checked the outdoor unit and found that it was installed SO INCORRECTLY that it NULLIFIED THE UNIT WARRANTY and that it would definitely collect water and rust.

We plan to report him to his licensing body. He should not be allowed to perform this work.
